Jamaican Grill House in Huntingdonshire

Jamaican Grill House makes the best food in the area. It's our favorite local restaurant. The grilled fish are off the charts good. The oxtail, ribs, and curried goat are all outstanding. So is everything else, really. Our staples are the fritters, plantains, a beef patty, and then whatever main dishes we're getting with rice, peas (bean), and cabbage-based salad. (Add lemon and olive oil to the salad.) It's a small restaurant with only outdoor seating, so we usually get takeaway, but it's outstanding, and the guy who runs it is really nice. We go about once a week. Highly recommend. (Note: I don't usually review restaurants here, but I think most people don't know this place and it's worth drawing attention to. It's our favorite local restaurant, they're super nice, and I hope they flourish so I can keep eating their great food.)

The food here is really good! The chicken and rice is cooked fresh and the owner is a top bloke! 👍🏼

So this is my first time trying jamaican food. I don't have the best tolerance for spicy food but I will tell you now it is so worth the fiery doom your mouth endures for how exquisite this food is myself and my partner enjoyed it he absolutely loves it and I would absolutely reccomend to everyone because this is definitely worth it hat's off to the chefs your food is incredible the rice and the beef the jerk chicken aswell is incredible!!

Best Jamaican food I’ve ever had! We got the ribs and jerk chicken as a main course with rice and salad, and goat curry on the side. All of it was amazing. Dave also gave us great service and some hot sauce that was the spiciest we had in a while and also delicious. Anyone in this area needs to try Jamaican grill house, you’re missing out if you don’t!

Had a great evening here the food is fantastic, dumplings are the best like proper homemade not the sweet type you get everywhere, the curry goat was very good all meat maybe 1 small bone and that was like that for all , oxtail tasted damn good too, the ribs and chops so tasty I'm coming back real soon

Food was good with full of flavour. Salad was just shredded cabbage. No seasoning. The guy there was very friendly and served us quickly. It was my first visit today and I had the goat curry meal. It was authentic and delicious. I travelled from Stevenage to meet up for lunch and the welcome and service was on point. We will definitely be going back. There is also free parking available.

Food was amazing … listen go down there and try it. I can’t wait to go back and so happy there’s a Caribbean restaurant about… being caribbean myself I’m so happy… no more fish and chips and Chinese 😂😂😂

We have been looking for a good, local Caribbean food place for ages and just managed to find this place by chance. The curry goat and ackee and salt fish were so delicious, we will definitely be ordering from here again! The jerk chicken is also nice if you don't like spicy food, but I love my spice so particularly enjoyed the curry goat, which tastes authentic and has some nice heat to it. I would suggest a visit if you like tasty food served with a smile. Portion sizes are good too :-)

The jerk chicken is hot, tasty and very well seasoned! Fragrant rice perfectly accompanies the meat and absorbs all the juices.

Great find and great to have a Jamaican option in the area. Grilled Lamb and Pork, great spice served up with rice, salad and grilled plantain under May evening sun on their balcony.

Had the pleasure of eating at this establishment two days in a row. And let me tell you....it was freaking amazing. The wife and I had jerk chicken /w rice the first day.....that was so good. So much flavor, and the rice with the hint of coconut was just amazing. Got to try some Goat Curry before I left too, first time having goat, and it was sooo tender and delicious. The next day we had beef, and ribs.......just melts in your mouth with all that flavor. I cannot recommend this place enough....you absolutely have to try this man's food.

Went for lunch for the first time today, first visit. Had the lovely jerk chicken meal and it was delicious! The only place ina de area where Jamaican food is served anywhere near St. Neots & highly recommended! Am looking forward to trying other things on the menu!

Had a wonderful dinner. Their jerk chicken and rice and pea is incredible. And was so welcoming when my wife asked about their gluten and dairy free options. Would very much recommend!

Best curry goat I ever had. We dined in because just eat charge a fortune. When you go in to eat or collect, their prices are very reasonable. So good.

Tried this on a balmy spring evening and was not disappointed! The food is brilliant, loads of flavour and just the right amount of spice! The portions are really generous too! We shared the Goat Curry and Jerk Chicken, both of which came with salad and Rice and Peas. We also wolfed down a side of plantain and beef patty! High recommended, looking forward to sitting outside with a pitcher of Jamaican rum and some good music this summer.

We loved the authentic Jamaican look and feel of the place with outdoor seating for the summer. We bought ribs and chicken with rice and peas, plantain, salt fish fritters, bbq chicken washed down with Red Stripe and grape soda. This is now our go-to Caribbean restaurant - thanks Suga.

Great authentic Jamaica food. Oh so delicious. Catered for my party and everyone enjoyed and requested their own doggy bag. Lovely.

Right firstly if like me, you can't handle spicy food and a korma is your limit this place is perfect. I thought having Jamaican food for the first time I'd have a mouth on fire and this wasn't the case. The food is some of the beat food I've had for someone who is picky. It had a slight kick but it was bare able. The flavours are amazing and will have you wanting more. We use this place on our lunch break and being on sites we need something to fill us up which it does. Jerk chicken rice, wings and the chicken burger is amazing not tried more yet. Owner is brilliant, friendly and cant recommend this place enough.

Fantastic jerk chicken, rice and peas, as well as festivale and fritters. St Neots has been starving for seasoning and we’ve got it!!!

Quality cuisine extremely well done. Unless you have Jamaican relatives that have cooked for you, you won’t get anything close to the superb food they make. Unique truly. The festivales, bammy’s, plantain were very worth trying out, but the icing on the cake was their Jerk Chicken without a doubt, it’s a BBQ slow grilled meat with a very juicy texture, amazing!

Just wanted to try the place and it was awesome, the owners a great guy came and chatted with us after eating had the curried goat, brown chicken stew and the jerk chicken all was really really good will be back

Brilliant food paired with friendly staff, what more can you want! The beef had a little kick to it, if that's not your thing make sure to let them know beforehand.

Good portion sizes are ridiculous , pud 6.50 for one of the smallest portions of food I’ve ever seen . Chicken was okay . But the sides were digusting and unseasoned . Could tell that the food was rushed . £16 gone down the drain for “snacks” would not recommend anything other than the chicken

I have been waiting for a Caribbean takeaway to open near me for years. I stumbled on this hidden gem! Very tasty food. I'm looking forward to the delivery service starting up soon.

I tried the vegan chickpea curry this evening and can say it was a nicely done dish. The right amount of chilli and with a side of rice and peas, it was a great meal. Not sure if they have plans to expand their vegan options? Anyhow I'll be back for more chickpeas that's for sure.

I had the pleasure of eating here yesterday and was blown away by this hidden gem. The food was out of this world, I have searched for 10 years to get decent Jamaican food since moving from London and finally found it. The cheif was nice enough to say hello and made us feel at home, followed by the owner who was a complete legend. The owner took the time to tell us about how the food is made and what he uses; his passion is no doubt the result of the amazing product. Long story short, be sure to give this place a try, you won't regret it.

Jamaican Grilled House is my new go to and the grilled fish with jumbo king prawns covered with pure goodness is the dish to beat so far out of the options I’ve tried. My son’s favourite is Mac and cheese with jerk chicken or wings and everything else :). Food and service 10/10.

Just had a great dinner at the Jamaican Grill House in Little Paxton! Steamed fish, pork ribs, wings. All outstanding. Nice to hear the Jamaican singing from the kitchen lol. The waitress was super kind and accommodating. I’ll be back!

Chicken Curry meat was falling off the bone, plaintains were delicious, jerk fried rice was also top notch. Great stuff. Best of luck to this business.

14 of us visited last night, various different meals were had and not one person had a bad meal. Service was great and a good night was had by all, will definately be back and will also be ordering take away too. Deserves the 5 stars.

Me and my partner just ate here, very last minute and couldn't be happier. I had the snapper in a mango and chilli sauce and it was the best grilled fish I've had whilst not on a tropical island. My partner had the curried goat which was incredible, tender and well spiced and we shared a portion of the salt fish fritters which came with a lovely home made sauce. Genuinely 5 stars, don't be put off by the out of the way location alongside the A1, this is a must visit.

Honestly wanted more. Looked forward to this one but unfortunately wasn't great. Ordered a burger, chips, salad(meal) brown stew chicken, rice, and salad(meal) Burger had a bone and cartilage in it which I could forgive, maybe just unlucky here, however, on top of that it had a very soggy bun and it didn't come with any chips due to them having no freezer for them but still charged a full price according to their menu on Facebook. Brown stew chicken was 30% bones, and liquid for the stew completely leaked out the container into the carrier bag and rice was just plain. Really would like to give this another go if given the chance but wouldn't pay to try again and risk another £24. Credit where credit due. Meat was tasteful but worried about biting into bones and cartilage to enjoy.

Our 3rd time coming & definitely wont be the last! Portion sizes are 10/10. Keep it up guys!

Came here for my lunch today, the staff were very friendly, and the food was lovely, the chicken wings were so meaty and the flavour of the sauce was on point, the dumplings too were very nice, will definitely be going back to try some more 😋

Just moved to the area and tried this out. Ordered in advance on way home. Nice and hot, great taste. Chicken curry and pulled pork burger were brilliant. Never tried Bammy, was tasty. We will be back.
