Hide & Seek in Glasgow City

Tiah is always absolutely incredible, whenever I go in she's so incredibly welcoming and really makes the entire night. Thank you so much Tiah!

Arrived here last night with my friend (we are 28 and 30) to be rudely stopped by the bouncer who demanded we tell him where we had been. After saying we had been at a gig at the galvanizers and then went into wunderbar for a drink he then asked for my ID - which I handed over no bother. He took a lengthy stare at my driving license and then scoffed and announced that we had already had too much to drink - considering we had only had 2 drinks each at this point. He then stated that my ID was fake which is ironic seeing as I have been using this license since 2014 (when I actually turned 18). Have never met someone so rude in my whole life - he decided that we weren’t getting in before speaking to us - maybe he was intimidated by our alternative look and thought we didn’t fit the bill. If you’re looking for a night out where you will be verbally abused by the door staff before you’ve even begun your night out then this is the place to go!

Door staff were appalling, don't they train people any more? Inside was pretty but overpriced and an uncomfortable atmosphere. Avoid

These bouncers are absolute idiots. They're asking me questions like I'm applying for a Job for entrance... lost plenty of custom due to him being incompetent. Consider firing them and hiring someone with some common sense. Pretty decent review, considering I'm too drunk to function, right?

First time in Hide & Seek and unfortunately my last time. We were told it was table service only which is fine however what wasn't fine was the fact we were waiting 25 minutes for this, my friend had to actually go up to the bar twice. The price was a small fortune too: 1 can of irn bru and 2 cocktails = £24.50. Their rooftop terrace is amazing however with service and the price, I won't be back unfortunately.

Tables do not have reserved signage and you are rudely asked to move to another, then that table is the same! It's not difficult to arrange and print off some reserved signs, and to be expectant that customers are aware. Further the staff and security approach to encourage people to drink up and leave quickly to turn over tables is quite pushy and unwelcoming. Did not eat here so cannot comment about the food!

Is a bad awful place , the stuff is horrible !!! Tonight I have to move .. two time from different tables, cause they said it.. tables are booked!!! … there was a no signal of reservation.. I request to speak with the manager .. she came in and nothing solve .. she basically chase us .. they have an horrible management … I would not recommend this place … Addicional the tables are messy cause they do not come and clean up and collect empty glasses … from previous customers So guys !!! before you come in .. if you want to spend long time make sure you make different reservations .. cause you can be quick out .. even if you still buying more drink !!! Bad experience !!!! Never come back ! 👎👎👎

Had a poor experience on Saturday night, bar staff were ignorant and rude. There are plenty of great places for nights out in Glasgow city centre, in my opinion, this isn’t one of them.

The bouncers on the door are horrible. Had 2 tables booked and were turned away for being “too drunk” despite the fact we were completely sober. Funnily, they said they would “allow the girls” but “not the fellas”. Will never be returning and would stay clear of this place as a new customer.

Really wouldnt waste your time, wasted half hour in queue to be refused entry for absolutely nothing , suspect it was due to party being over the age of 30, doorman was laughable, clearly enjoyed his doorman powers. By the reviews on here we didn't miss much!!

The bar itself had a nice feel and look. Enjoyable surroundings. The service from the bar person on Wednesday 27th Dec was obnoxious, dismissive and rude. We had friends visiting from the states and their attitude was pretty pathetic and unwelcoming. If they didn’t want to be there then fine but don’t impart your attitude onto people helping make sure you have an income at the end of the night. Had 1 drink and left as didn’t want to deal with them again.

Disappointing Experience: I've been a regular at this bar for 6 months, but my recent visit was deeply unsettling. I encountered unwarranted hostility from a former work colleague, who has a history of unkind behaviour toward me. Despite politely inquiring about drinks, she responded by raising her voice in front of the surrounding customers, accusing me of being rude, and furiously storming out of the bar causing a scene. I was then asked to leave without explanation by the manager. The situation was handled poorly, showing a lack of professionalism and fairness. It's unfortunate to see personal biases influence customer treatment.

Great Bar with a fab outdoor terrace. Really recommend booking a table for drinks in the terrace. The atmosphere was great and the bar inside was nice too. The staff were friendly and accommodating to make special requests on drinks

Staff were lovely apart from the manager, think her name was Lottie - really rude and entitled, such a shame because the bar staff were so nice!

AVOID!! my friend had her 21st birthday here and the staff completely ruined her night. For being a BAR they expect you to be sober and sit with your arms in your lap the whole night. The small bar tender with the short hair looked like they wanted to die and would not let us have any fun. My friend got cut off from the bar for DANCING, she was fully competent and could walk and stand and honestly wasn’t even that drunk but the worlds worst bartender hated the thought of anyone having fun. The taller woman with dark long hair kept pulling my friend to the stock room the whole night telling her we had to stop drinking and people had to leave which honestly ruined her 21st birthday. Everyone was having fun no one was being sick or too far. Such a weird bunch of staff, would not recommend for a function. If the staff mentioned are reading this, LOTTIE i’m sure your name was, if you dont like drunk people having fun, go work in a library🙏 live a little

We recently had the unfortunate experience of having a private 21st function here and it was one of the most disappointing experiences. The person behind the bar was rude and was glaring at customers in our party the entire night. The bizarre policy of a bar to not serve people alcohol who were nowhere near levels of intoxication is ridiculous. The real low point however was the behaviour of the manager. Instead of ensuring a positive night for my friend who paid a lot of money for the function she took her away from her own birthday pulling her into a back room to discuss kicking her own friends out. This not only left the birthday girl in tears but is a clear case of taking advantage of the situation. This establishment clearly lacks an understanding of hospitality and customer satisfaction. If you are considering booking a function here save yourself the disappointment and choose a venue that values its customers and does not take advantage of them or glare at them the whole night!

We should have known not to bother when 4 adults were questioned by the simpleton on the door asking where we had been and if we had a drink it was early on a Saturday no idea who this clown with the beard thinks he is. Once inside the service was terrible served 2 flat pints and then the lad behind the bar couldn't care less about what the rest of the order was. Looked like he was on something we just left without buying. Awful experience and awful people from the front door onwards. There are far better bars in Glasgow avoid this overpriced dump

This place is not Studio 54, and never will be, despite what they think they have going. Doorman says apparently their policy is to not let anyone that is solo inside. He blamed it on women getting too wasted and men being too creepy. As a solo traveler, and completely sober when I showed up, I just wanted to check out the place for a few drinks after seeing some decent looking promotion on Tok Tok. This place in the only bit of foul service I received in Glasgow, and happily took my money elsewhere.

Don't come here if you're a solo traveller. I came to try and meet some locals as I'm travelling the UK by myself. Was rejected entry for health and safety reasons... Absolute B.S. The doorman said people in Glasgow don't know when to stop drinking, so I can not let people in by themselves.

Great place and the atmosphere is amazing

Great bar with a great vibe! Open late pretty much every night and as hospitality staff that finish late, we couldn't have been happier to find this gem! Cheap cocktails throughout the week, great selection of spirits and shots. The terrace area is cozy and inviting with music and a great seating area. Staff are helpful with recommendations and good chat!

The place kicked us out because another table kept saying welcome to scotland because I’m not from scotland and the guards came and kicked me out and said we will be fine without you being here , I am really upset about this and how racist this place is

Hide & Seek is an great little cocktail bar tucked away in the heart of Glasgow, and it truly lives up to its name. This hidden gem is a must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts or just anyone looking for some fun drinks on a dreich Glasgow evening

One of the hidden spots of Glasgow! Amazing staff and cocktails, could improve upon the beer selection! A great place to go if you work in hospitality as they have hospitality discounts weekdays.

Lottie was amazing! My friend wanted an extra spicy marg and she went above and beyond to ensure she received this! Hide & seek is lucky to have a manager like Lottie! We received the best customer service and we will be back!

Went to hide and seek for the first time tonight. The music was so good. And the girl on the bar with all the tattoos made amazing cocktails, she was so fun all night long. Had such an amazing night. New to glasgow and so far my favourite bar ❤️❤️

Made a mess of the numbers and the area we were supposed to be given for our booking, then told us we had to leave dispute their mistake creating the issue. Just didn't want to give us the full area on a Saturday night? Toilets are also really confusing. Toilets, Urinals, Unisex, ladies are the 4 options . But everyone was queueing for the door that said toilets apart from those who realised there were more doors at the end of the corridor. Bizzare must be a better way to do things.

Fantastic service from Lottie and Stu, bar staff were also incredible and extremely friendly. Cocktails were lovely. The event held for me and my girlfriend were exactly what we needed for Valentine’s Day. Absolutely gonna come again. Thank you guys again.

I absolutely love this place, class cocktails, amazing venue and the staff!!! Lottie, Stu and Lindsey are just amazing and so accommodating for every request. Can’t recommend enough!!

Best late night bar in Glasgow open till 3am most nights

terrible do not recommend. The female manager was clearly on drugs and was very rude to me and my friends. She also made up several lies about us and was also smoking inside, she needs sacked immediately. Bar staff also lied about not having lemonade but was giving lemonade to other parties, never experienced anything like it, would not go back under any circumstances

Really expensive for drinks, slow service, bar staff aren't keeping track of who is approaching the bar. Promotions aren't advertised very well. I wouldn't suggest going here on that basis

We held the launch of the latest collection of my lash brand here and it was amazing! Everyone had a great time, the staff were really friendly and accommodated every one of my requests. They allowed us private hire during the day and provided a buffet and custom cocktails. 10/10 if looking for a custom event space! X

Amazing looking bar! Easily the best outdoor smoking area in Glasgow. Music is always on point. Delicious cocktails and really friendly staff, highly recommend.

One of the best pubs I’ve been to in a long time in Glasgow. Great to not feel too old in a pub whilst enjoying great tunes and some amazing cocktails in such a cool venue.

Amazing Bar, Great cocktail selection, Treehouse area situated outside so you can smoke and drink till 3AM! DJs four nights a week, would highly recommend going to check it out.

If you could award no ⭐ that would be my choice Extremely over priced Food terrible ,rightly named Hide & Seek chicken burger, couldn't find the chicken for the batter ,which looked like a rock cake on slice of lettuce with mayo,sweet was a cinnamon twirl with some kind of soft mixture on top don't know if it was cream or cheese or both didn't try it out.Sorry I missed 1st course as it would probably been more to my liking Toast with avocado and bacon Drinks weren't to my taste either Prosecco and some kind of cocktail It was a PRIVATE FUNCTION of more than 20 ladies for a hen ,booked from 12pm till 7 pm and was totally disorganised regarding seating Public were in just after 5pm. And between then and 6pm we were asked to change seats 3 TIMES eventually all being moved into ALCOVE IN A CORNER witn no view of surrounding area and would have seated 10 people comfortable, defo not made for a crowd no extra chairs were offered leaving people having to stand at a cost of £50 per head it was a ripoff Will not be recommended to any family or friends and defo will never be back

Nice bar with a cosy terrace and outdoor seating. The cocktails could be bigger, they seem pricey at £10 served in small glasses. I went during the week when it was quiet, not sure how the atmosphere is at the weekend

Place has great music and a good atmosphere but the female manager needs sacked. Abrupt and rude to my girlfriend ahead of my arrival and when I arrived and asked about my table I was told ‘be quiet a minute and let me finish’. After this comment I asked to speak to the manager to which she responded ‘I am the manager’ in her already condescending tone. Unable to book tables outside yet that’s where we were placed as she just let others take the table I’d booked for inside. She sat smoking out on the terrace half the night and a bar tender told us ‘this is what she’s like’ so it’s obviously not the first time. The position of power has clearly got to her head otherwise she just has zero people skills. The night was made slightly better when she was sent home. Everyone else was great! Would highly recommend on the basis she isn’t working :D

Love what they done with the place and that they have promos on but the staff couldn't care less about customers. The outside smoking bit is great!
