Discovered the Hidden Garden over a year ago now and it’s one of my favourite places to go. Great coffee (no additional charges for milk alternatives), beautiful views and dog friendly! The little treats they serve your dog are an added bonus (no charge either!) my pooch loves a visit. We have been in all weathers, although most of the seating area is outside there are some wonderful covered nooks to curl up with blankets galore and even a pizza stove burning logs to keep you warm in the winter. The cakes and food are delicious and the additional pop up food stalls they host are brilliant. Highly recommend for a cosy catch up away from the high street bustle.

The 'Hidden Garden' is hidden away, below and behind shops, but it's worth looking for. A lovely terrace overlooking the river and park with some nice cocktails, beers etc.. We popped in for a quick drink on Good Friday and stayed all afternoon.

Love love the food, great and so fresh. But you do need to love football ⚽ as it is on all Sundays

Relaxing atmosphere with good value meals with large portions. The steak rag pudding was delicious with its fat chips, jug of extra gravy and mushy peas. It is a shame that there are no fires especially when its grim outside.

We called in for a couple of drinks and something to eat for a birthday meal. We went to the bar and then found a table with an elderly gentleman sat there alone who was quite happy for us to sit there too. We were browsing the menu for a while and then a waitress came up and said this table is reserved and put a reserved sign on it. We were told we would have to find another seat and the gentleman had to move too. We had no apology and it was quite embarrassing. We couldn't find anywhere else to sit so had to stand. We waited around 20 minutes and still no one had sat at the table we were at. We then left and went for something to eat in Uppermill. We won't be bothering with the Farrars again due to such poor customer service.
