£17 for a greasy bland burger and fries. It was very poor value, and very poor quality. The service was incredibly slow too. I won't be returning and I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Hickory’s has a great vibe and is perfect if you’re in the mood for steak. However, the menu is quite limited for vegetarians or anyone looking for options beyond beef.

The staff here are really outstanding, such a friendly atmosphere. The food was to a very good standard, my kids especially loved the 20ft enclosed slide they have on site. Highly recommend 👌

Good brisket and great service. I've been there twice and both times were great. Even my 11yr old daughter loved the food (and she's a VERY picky eater).

I find all Hickory's excellent and this one is no exception. Anyone who likes slow cooked bbq food should not miss out on Hickory's. The food is excellent, staff and service second to none. Will definitely continue to eat at Hickory's and can recommend them without hesitation.

We went while on holiday and really enjoyed coming here. Getting on the car park the smell of food was really inviting! Service was great once we were seated. The place was really busy but the waiting times for food and drinks were quick. The platter was excellent. Some of the best meat and sausage I've ever tasted. Drinks menu had a massive choice. It's all a touch expensive but it's worth it. Would definitely eat here again.

Went today with the Mrs for my birthday the food was brilliant the beer was brilliant and the service was brilliant our server Rhys was great couldn’t ask for better service great place and dog friendly what makes it even better definitely 10/10

Just had meal with a large family & friends in the private room. The food was spot on. But the waitress was very rude. I know she was on her own dealing with a large party maybe putting another staff on to help her, her attitude might of been better.

Terribly overpriced food that just mediocre to be honest. £17 for a bang average cheeseburger and chips. Not great but place is very busy. Obviously others like it. Service was good but menu is way overpriced for what it is.

Always enjoyed Hickories. It is one of our favourite restaurants in North Wales. I'm not sure if it's a new policy, but they include a 7.5 % tip on the final bill, this is not compulsory, but you do feel uncomfortable saying I'd rather pay the staff personally. We always leave a substantial tip if the service is good.

The servers were great, the food came out quick but the food was pretty average. We had two burgers and a drink which came to over £40. Overpriced for what it is.

Service and food was ok nothing particularly special. Atmosphere was nice got sat in front of the kitchen on stools which made it a really good experience. But the food just wasn’t special, hot dog was ok, partner got the fajitas and the chicken was seriously over cooked and the side of onions rings was just batter with oil dripping out of them which is a shame because they did look really good. For the price I probably wouldn’t return.

We went yesterday and it was great food was top class filled us up to the brim oh my days the service was incredible I would love to have the lady to have more recognition by her managers and she was lovely I sat on a table of two me and my boyfriend and we had chicken in a basket and bacon bites which again couldn’t go wrong and last we had our mains he had brisket which was to die for and I had the pulled pork which was weird but I wouldn’t order again but I couldn’t get over the service I can remember her name she had brown hair told us her recommendations and her bubbly personality was amazing. But the music there is way to loud I would like to hear my conversation with my boyfriend

Had a fantastic dinner here today for Mother’s Day , I just want to say a massive thankyou to Matt the manager , he went above and beyond to make sure we had an enjoyable time while visiting rhos on sea hickoriys smoke house. Couldn’t recommend this place enough food was quick service and beautiful as always. Thanks again for making this Mother’s Day so special. We will be back soon for sure

The food was tasty and the milkshake was delicious, especially the pancakes and maple syrup. The staff were kind and offered many activities to entertain the kids. The atmosphere was excellent and the menu is varied.

I visited here with friends on Friday and we were not disappointed ! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside, is how loud it was in there , but I guess that can’t be helped ! Not sure that I agree with the tip being automatically added onto the bill either !

Went for an impromptu dinner. Didn't reserve a seat. We had a great experience. Excellent service, the food quality was fantastic and I felt it was good value for money.

Food was great, service was hit and miss. Had the sharing platter for 2 and it was so worth it! So much food it was unreal! However the red wine… avoid it all cost! Worst wine I’ve ever had. Dessert order took ages to be taken however because of this they removed it from the bill, including two cocktails because they were not presented properly due to shortage of stock. Overall food was great! Service needs a little work, should have been told about the shortage of stock for the drink but hey at least they compensated without argument so cannot complain about that at all! Overall would definitely be back! Theme is so on point I loved it!

Great for a gathering, a party of 7, we all loved the food.. it was super busy so didn't get seated at our booking time, the outside area was nice and toasty with the heat lights. Carpark was very full, only a couple of spots available. We had a great time and would recommend.

Very busy restaurant. Food was mediocre, feels very much a franchise that's lost its originality.

We having been coming here for years, usually as a couple but occasionally with friends or our kids. The food is always incredible, well worth the long drive! Staff are attentive and the atmosphere is great, love the music choices. We've just visited again for our anniversary and it was fantastic as always, love the effort staff go to, to make it extra special. The only dampener is that we really miss the burnt ends. Desperately hoping they'll be brought back before our next visit! Thanks again!

This place is my favourite restaurant around, which we visit regularly, we recently attended the Super Bowl celebrations and had the best service!! Great food and drinks as always, Cam did a great job with organising such a great event. See you all soon and keep up the amazing work .

First time visiting altho live in Wales and not that far away At first everything was great.. My daughter wanted to make some popcorn and as she had a accident and then member of staff who i presume is some sort of "managemnet" came over and said "if you want any more we will have to sort that for you.. this was not a issue at all altho if the popcorn station was "staff only" this needs to be posted as "staff only"... after this the same member of staff was then over heard bad mouthing our table to other staff members... having sly looks and comments throughout the night which made us leave early.... I do not find this acceptable and so disrespectful... also if your going to state in your website "cinema" room then maybe you should actually have your shows playing and then maybe my "naughty, mis behaved" daughter as she was named wouldn't be a problem

Don't appreciate being spoken about from staff to staff infront of us about the behaviour of my child, the movie room wasn't turned on and was told not to help ourselves to the popcorn staff provide this service but no sign saying so. Won't be visiting again not worth it with children

Our favourite restaurant brand having discovered it around 2 years ago. Love the menu, the prices are reasonable, the blueberry lemonade should be bottled and sold. Will be back soon.

As an American who likes a good BBQ joint, the Hickory's in Rhos is next level good. The staff are attentive, friendly, and generous. Cam the manager put together a great Super Bowl watch party too. I highly recommend dropping by here sometime. Also try the brisket!

Went for BBQ blow out with the family, amazing, my youngest daughters food came a little after our own, we hadn't complained, it was just a little late but yet the manager came with it and said it wasn't going to be on the bill, wasn't necessary but appreciated, the only negative I can say is I forgot to pick up some cans of their IPA for home, it's lovely Thank you guys and see you soon

In Wales most weekends and often go to Poynton hickory's so have an idea of the chain. Since it's become a national chain I'd say its going down hill. Nothing great about this visit. Average service not very attentive but not poor ether just like meh!! Requeste for cutlery was ment but like it was burdon asked a couple of times for the side dishes again just slow and lack of effort. Overall wasn't bad but wasn't great. Given the prices ud expect better. Alot better in local area for a nicer meal. Lost is vibe the bigger the chain grows.

Brilliant meal as always, had a Birthday meal here and the staff were excellent and inviting. Had out out Birthday notices and brought out a cream doughnut and sparkler after. The food was amazing and the Driftaway own IPA with Grapefruit is fantastic and a must try. Sal was our host and was excellent, frequently checked all was well with the meal and drinks, never letting a drink run dry. Couldn't really ask for more from anywhere. 5 star all round for food, staff and atmosphere. Only advice is book well in advance if you have a larger group as it is a popular venue on a weekend.

Food was cold brisket dry , service was poor this was our first and last time here I've had better food in McDonald's and that's saying something

Lovely place, nice food. Am not a fan of the gratuity added automatically to the bill, and you have to ask for it to be removed. It's totally put me off the place. I paid in cash, and even though the gratuity was included, the waitress also pocketed the £3 change, i think she thought it was an extra tip! i had to follow her round the restaurant to get it back!

Came here for breakfast on NYE for my birthday with my husband and two young boys! All waiting staff were really friendly, and food was absolutely perfect!! First time we have ever tried a hickorys breakfast and definitely won't be the last!

Food was great very filling. Service was really friendly however I felt we were neglected a bit when needing new drinks. If it was busy I'd have said I understood but our recent visit was in the morning. Overall a really nice breakfast experience and would highly recommend. The restaurant has gone under a refit, even though it's small tweaks, it makes the environment nicer. Id recommend splitting the Great Amerivan breakfast and the hot chocolate is a must.

Had the Brunch on Saturday morning, was an amazing experience, bacon to die for. Busy with work do's and parties but didn't make it busy... 1st time to this Hickorys but will be going again.

Treated my Goddaughter Millie to a birthday brunch at Hickory's & we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious & she absolutely loved the surprise birthday cake & firework, the staff made her feel really special & nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful time, we will be back again very very soon 🩷

Kids always love it here, service was excellent.

Made to wait 10mins over the booked time with our 5 year old. Told to wait at the bar. Great. Portion size is terrible there these days so not great value for money. Might be better to put a picture of each dish for customers to see. The auto tip on the bill is always a low blow. Tut tut. Service was standard. Slow at times. Its not a difficult job so leave the tips to your customers to decide. If you have to put the prices up 7.5% on the menus then do that instead.

Went recently as a group from work. Food and service was amazing. Only downside was we were placed on a table near the door so was a bit drafty and had to ask for blankets to put over our legs. It was very busy so no other table available for us, understandibly. Apart from that, had a great time!

Absolutely love Hickory's, the food is fantastic. We usually visit the Hickory's restaurant in Chester, however this restaurant as expected was just as good. We had the Smokehouse Platter for two, which could probably feed a family of four! The food and service were quality, I would highly recommend a visit and will happily return!

Luke warm coffee, the big breakfast burger falls short of expectations, food was cold the whole expensive experience was disappointing so won't be going there again.

Amazing food, we got the sharing platter to try a bit of everything, and it was definitely worth it. Brisket and pulled pork was so tender, melt in the mouth; ribs were deliciously glazed; the sides like corn bread and pickled salad paired so well with the smokey meats. Staff were friendly and helpful. This was our second visit, and both indoor and outdoor seatings had a cool ambience. Will definitely be back for more.

Absolutely applauded by the new menu why get rid of the old classics? The biscoff milkshake was one of the only reasons i actually came to this god forsaken steak house… VERY disappointed. I’m paying for an overpriced meal and I can’t even get the one thing I wanted. And the poutine tots were also another classic that I am very dissatisfied to see go.

Food was lovely, slightly pricy but definitely worth a visit. Requested a booth seat in the booking and was told on arrival all were taken. Slow service with food, had 2 meals brought out then server took order from another table before bringing other half of meals out. Servers were all polite and lovely and friendly.

A rare visit and will not rush back. Menu is very much the same thing, little/no variety. Portions size only just ok and price a little over where it should be. Service was fine. Could be so much better if menu was looked at with a fresh pair of eyes. Good location and parking

Food was bland, boring and tasted very cheap. Mac and cheese tasted like it came out of a tin, runny coleslaw served in a cardboard tray!! Just over priced and really not very nice. Ingredients tasted as though they were the cheapest they could find. Feel like we spent far too much money on very very poor food. And they have the cheek to add service charge to the bill and not tell you!!!!!!!!!
