Came from chester for a weekend for a friend's birthday imogem was our server excellent service polite smiley, we would come again

We having been coming here for years, usually as a couple but occasionally with friends or our kids. The food is always incredible, well worth the long drive! Staff are attentive and the atmosphere is great, love the music choices. We've just visited again for our anniversary and it was fantastic as always, love the effort staff go to, to make it extra special. The only dampener is that we really miss the burnt ends. Desperately hoping they'll be brought back before our next visit! Thanks again!

Visited for dinner last night, brilliant service from waitress Eva-Mae she was friendly and prompt! Food 10/10 Service 10/10. My family and I will 100% book again.

This place is my favourite restaurant around, which we visit regularly, we recently attended the Super Bowl celebrations and had the best service!! Great food and drinks as always, Cam did a great job with organising such a great event. See you all soon and keep up the amazing work .

In Wales most weekends and often go to Poynton hickory's so have an idea of the chain. Since it's become a national chain I'd say its going down hill. Nothing great about this visit. Average service not very attentive but not poor ether just like meh!! Requeste for cutlery was ment but like it was burdon asked a couple of times for the side dishes again just slow and lack of effort. Overall wasn't bad but wasn't great. Given the prices ud expect better. Alot better in local area for a nicer meal. Lost is vibe the bigger the chain grows.

What a place! Good is always outstanding and have a separate gluten free menu!

Food was cold brisket dry , service was poor this was our first and last time here I've had better food in McDonald's and that's saying something

Brilliant meal as always, had a Birthday meal here and the staff were excellent and inviting. Had out out Birthday notices and brought out a cream doughnut and sparkler after. The food was amazing and the Driftaway own IPA with Grapefruit is fantastic and a must try. Sal was our host and was excellent, frequently checked all was well with the meal and drinks, never letting a drink run dry. Couldn't really ask for more from anywhere. 5 star all round for food, staff and atmosphere. Only advice is book well in advance if you have a larger group as it is a popular venue on a weekend.

Lovely place, nice food. Am not a fan of the gratuity added automatically to the bill, and you have to ask for it to be removed. It's totally put me off the place. I paid in cash, and even though the gratuity was included, the waitress also pocketed the £3 change, i think she thought it was an extra tip! i had to follow her round the restaurant to get it back!

Came here for breakfast on NYE for my birthday with my husband and two young boys! All waiting staff were really friendly, and food was absolutely perfect!! First time we have ever tried a hickorys breakfast and definitely won't be the last!

Good food. But was charged tips without my permission. We asked for bill and person just forgot about us. So we sat and wait for nothing ..

Food was great very filling. Service was really friendly however I felt we were neglected a bit when needing new drinks. If it was busy I'd have said I understood but our recent visit was in the morning. Overall a really nice breakfast experience and would highly recommend. The restaurant has gone under a refit, even though it's small tweaks, it makes the environment nicer. Id recommend splitting the Great Amerivan breakfast and the hot chocolate is a must.

Had the Brunch on Saturday morning, was an amazing experience, bacon to die for. Busy with work do's and parties but didn't make it busy... 1st time to this Hickorys but will be going again.

Treated my Goddaughter Millie to a birthday brunch at Hickory's & we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious & she absolutely loved the surprise birthday cake & firework, the staff made her feel really special & nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a wonderful time, we will be back again very very soon 🩷

Made to wait 10mins over the booked time with our 5 year old. Told to wait at the bar. Great. Portion size is terrible there these days so not great value for money. Might be better to put a picture of each dish for customers to see. The auto tip on the bill is always a low blow. Tut tut. Service was standard. Slow at times. Its not a difficult job so leave the tips to your customers to decide. If you have to put the prices up 7.5% on the menus then do that instead.

Kids always love it here, service was excellent.

Went recently as a group from work. Food and service was amazing. Only downside was we were placed on a table near the door so was a bit drafty and had to ask for blankets to put over our legs. It was very busy so no other table available for us, understandibly. Apart from that, had a great time!

Absolutely love Hickory's, the food is fantastic. We usually visit the Hickory's restaurant in Chester, however this restaurant as expected was just as good. We had the Smokehouse Platter for two, which could probably feed a family of four! The food and service were quality, I would highly recommend a visit and will happily return!

Luke warm coffee, the big breakfast burger falls short of expectations, food was cold the whole expensive experience was disappointing so won't be going there again.

Amazing food, we got the sharing platter to try a bit of everything, and it was definitely worth it. Brisket and pulled pork was so tender, melt in the mouth; ribs were deliciously glazed; the sides like corn bread and pickled salad paired so well with the smokey meats. Staff were friendly and helpful. This was our second visit, and both indoor and outdoor seatings had a cool ambience. Will definitely be back for more.

Don't pay deposit because if you cancel earlier than 72 hours they won't refund you £25 . Wow theft

Absolutely applauded by the new menu why get rid of the old classics? The biscoff milkshake was one of the only reasons i actually came to this god forsaken steak house… VERY disappointed. I’m paying for an overpriced meal and I can’t even get the one thing I wanted. And the poutine tots were also another classic that I am very dissatisfied to see go.

Food was lovely, slightly pricy but definitely worth a visit. Requested a booth seat in the booking and was told on arrival all were taken. Slow service with food, had 2 meals brought out then server took order from another table before bringing other half of meals out. Servers were all polite and lovely and friendly.

A rare visit and will not rush back. Menu is very much the same thing, little/no variety. Portions size only just ok and price a little over where it should be. Service was fine. Could be so much better if menu was looked at with a fresh pair of eyes. Good location and parking

Nice chilled atmosphere, great staff and lots of tasty food

Food was bland, boring and tasted very cheap. Mac and cheese tasted like it came out of a tin, runny coleslaw served in a cardboard tray!! Just over priced and really not very nice. Ingredients tasted as though they were the cheapest they could find. Feel like we spent far too much money on very very poor food. And they have the cheek to add service charge to the bill and not tell you!!!!!!!!!

Very tasty, cool, good service, many places, the children were given entertainment with pencils and popcorn.

Thus place is great for a family night out Lovely food...if you like hickory Smoked then this is the place for you. A bit pricey for certain items so good for a treat. Atmosphere is good. We sat outside as we always bring the poohies who are made to feel very welcome with a brisket taster. My only disappointment was the chips only luke warm

Lovely hickory's in a nice location ! We went tonight for our 'holiday' meal and it didn't disappoint, this was my first ever hickory's visit. We arrived 10 minutes before our booking and were greeted and sat down straight away. Drinks and food came quickly (may I recommend the grape soda it was unreal) I'm going to try the hickory's near our house in West Kirby next visit, but it has a lot to live up to ! Great seating area outside, loved the wooden huts with heaters in thats a great idea ! Thank you to the staff who were on tonight !

Went for steak and a shake night on a Monday, very busy and the staff did forget about us a few times as it was so busy! The food was gorgeous though and thoroughly recommend the steak and shake deal!

Considering it was the start of lunch we thought we would of got fresh food, I had the 3am mac, it comes with a salad and coleslaw, the salad looked like it had been there for a couple of days, the salad leaves were brown I complained the manager apologised but didn't offer anything off the bill, couldn't wait to leave.

Quite disappointed with the service but the food was relatively nice. Ribs were very good but the veggie burger was disappointing.

Been on two occasions in June - one time selecting the Fajitas and the second was a chicken burger. Both delicious and would recommend. Can get very busy with a younger crowd, so bear that in mind if planning a romantic grown up evening... Nice outdoor area with pods and general seating. Parking was full when I was there, so may need to park on the road. Will go again at some point. Wouldn't go here for a Steak (friend had one) - but everything else on the menu worth a shot. Pleasant staff and pop to the table regularly.

I had baby back ribs, they were well over cooked but the staff were brilliant when I mentioned it. Deleted off the bill with the over salty mushrooms. We've eaten here everytime We've visited Llandudno and we've had some amazing memorable food. The staff are more than helpful and we'll be back with a reminder of or last experience.

The staff didn't seem to understand what a reservation was as the table was booked but hadn't actually been set properly, and cleanliness was an issue. The floor had a lot of rubbish, and food remains on it as well as missing cutlery. The service was quick admittedly but the staff didn't seem to have even the remotest amount of interest in the customers as they weren't polite and made it clear they weren't happy when we had only just been sat and didn't immediately know what we wanted to drink. Our drinks were taken to the wrong table a few times before finally reaching us. The food itself was very good. It was all fresh and tasted good. The server who brought our food asked us how it was as soon as it was put in front of us. As such, I just said I haven't tried it yet, but I'll let you know. The Churos were amazing and also freshly made. The drinks are good value for money as the amount you get is quite a lot considering the price. Overall, the food is fab, but the staff aren't overly bothered with the customer experience.

Very rarely leave reviews, but the service from Caitlyn this evening was the best we’ve ever had and couldn’t not leave one. Massive asset and deserves the recognition for tonight. Food was spot on as always.

Food and drinks are always lovely every time we visit. On our most recent visit service was very slow I think because our group were seated in a corner we were forgot about 😅 but staff were still very friendly and compensated us with a free dessert sharing board for our birthday which was delicious!!

We prebooked one of the outside huts and had a brilliant time from start to finish. The food was unreal! Definately recommend the brisket and the cornbread. The hut was fab, was provided with a bottle of water and glasses, it had a heater and even some blankets to keep the kids warm if it got a bit nippy. Loved the kitchen roll on the table for messy hands lol. The kids love the free popcorn, the slide and the activity books 😁 The cocktails and milkshakes were so good too. The food arrived so quickly after we ordered we were pleasantly surprised, especially with it being a busy saturday evening. Our server Caitlyn was fab, she couldnt do enough for us 😊 Will definately come again 😊

We came to Hickorys on the Wednesday and enjoyed it so much we came back on Thursday! Food amazing and plentiful, staff SO friendly and helpful (one of us has a severe allergy- after 12 months of dealing with this staff here were the first we've experienced in various places to be informed, knowledgeable- and keen to know more for future reference). Nothing was too much trouble despite them being incredibly busy and we hadn't pre booked. Thank you all you are amazing!

Two visits in two days because all the staff are on the ball regarding allergies (alcohol) and make sure everything is checked and chatting to make sure we're ok plus the food is very, very good. Can't praise this place enough and a thoughtful little gift (allergy checked) as well because we were recognised and greeted as regular customers.

Consistently good food and fab service!!!

Turned up on spec and was offered a seat at the chefs bar. When questioned the waiter regarding an alcohol allergy, we were told a manager would come with a list. A very kind lady came (sorry, I forget the name) and went through everything with us and looked it all up, smiling and nothing was too much trouble. When the food and drinks arrived, they had little allergy flags just to make sure. The food was incredibly good, very tasty, and a lot of it. The manager checked again we were ok and again when we paid just to make sure. Thus was service above and beyond. Thank you. If we lived here, we would definitely return.

Overcooked and dry. Saw a chef from the Loaf so no surprise. Would never go again. Kids running about unsupervised wrecking furniture, like visiting a special needs unit.

Lovely service from Evie! She was so good with our kids, made them feel totally special. Give me more of those bacon bites, I could eat a main course of them. Puddings were lovely, we tried the s’mores and we weren’t disappointed. Stayed for around 2 hours and wasn’t ever made to feel rushed.

Great venue, staff great, food nice

Went here for a wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the food - gluten free brisket and bourbon bacon bits the start. Very friendly and efficient staff but never felt rushed. We sat outside in the area covered by a an awning which kept the sun off. A bit of a trip from home ( about 75 minutes each way) but well worth it. Oh, and the grape soda is to die for.

Recently celebrated a birthday here and the food and service was outstanding. Will be returning soon!

Wife's birthday made us so welcome and warm inviting place

Gluten free choices were good, food lovely, place was very busy and that meant service was slow, but staff were still pleasant.

Stumbled across this place by accident while trying to locate the holy St Trillo chapel. To cut the story short, St Trillo's Parish Church and the Chapel of St Trillo are two different things :D. Anyway, I'm loving it here (the Hickory's Smokehouse) :). A very cute place with a homely vibe, but then again I'm partial to American themed diners. It would not be fair to comment on the food, as I ended up grabbing only a decent cup of latte. (Complimentary popcorn and bottled cold water were brought nonetheless.) I do hope to return here later!

You can really sense when a restaurant is run well, and that comes across here. Water and pop corn brought to the table immediately which is a nice added touch. The menu has a wide range of meals to choose from which I love to see, but as I was in a smokehouse, I was certain I wanted some beef brisket. I was undecided whether to have half a pound of beef brisket or to go for their brisket sub and the waitress was incredibly helpful in sharing some advice which was brilliant to see! The beef was amazing and the bourbon gravy (I think it was?) was fantastic - great quality food here. Even down to the slaw which was extra creamy and seasoned well with black pepper. After the meal, my partner and I shared a 'Smores' dessert which was good value and the perfect end to the night. Overall, I couldn't fault the experience. Good food, good service, good atmosphere - we shall see you again!

This was a nice surprise after being out for a beach day in Colwyn Bay. Googled best family restaurant, and this came up first - and so glad we visited. As we didn't book, there were only 2 places we could sit as options, but that really didn't dampen the experience. There were lots of seating options available for booth indoor and outdoor. The front of house team were nice & friendly. The serving team were also nice and accommodating. The food - really good. We ordered a few different items, and all of them were really tasty. The portion sizes are also generous. We all had starters, multiple drinks, and the smokehouse sharing platter for 2. We didn't realise how big the portions were and ended up bringing food home. Will definitely dine here again when we're in the area.

Never been before, and massively impressed. My daughter took me here as she thought the food was up my street. It was! I could have picked so many different dishes. The service was fantastic and the food was excellent. Cannot fault this place.

Beautiful home cooked real food. Amazing portions and really tasty. Worth the detour off the main road on the way to Holyhead. The final meal of our holiday on our way home.

The Saturday night we went on it was very busy the waitress said it was the busiest theyd been for a while but after a short wait in the bar we got a table, service was good and the four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Will definitely go again but next time we'll go midweek I think.
