Harveys New York Bar and Grill in Conwy

We visited here for my wifes birthday (also new years eve) Firstly the menu is great if you're in Llandudno and your group cant agree on where to eat, so many different options, if i was local i'd be in weekly to get through it all. The portions were just right, and the food was hot, well seasoned and steak was cooked perfectly. All presented well too. In saying that, the star of the show was Ruth (Hope I've got that right it was quite loud due to the atmosphere on NYE) She was attentive from start to finish, we had our kids with us who can sometimes be a little wild and she was great with making sure they had their food first, brought over wet wipes when she noticed my youngest was covered in choc sauce. She was great and really made the night for us.

music is great as well as the decor. food was not the best of all times but good enough.

Went there 29th Dec and was no atmosphere at all, no music on, we had chicken wings which were nice enough then the peri peri tacos and chicken & ribs combos, both absolutely tastless and had to leave the meals, we have been before and was fine but not sure what has happened but it was the most boring, bland, plain food we have had in a very long time. Such a shame amd all at a cost of £93.

Not been to Llandudno Harvey's for a long while but the place has changed beyond recognition, and not for the best. Bland food, if not for chillies, you'd not have distinguished what you had, if blindfolded. Tasteless hotdog in itself, same for chicken main. Starters (meatless option) had all the same cheese melted and no flavour at all. Oddly, we were told that's how it's supposed to taste. The saving grace was staff unprompted reduced the bill for one cold main. The contend of the plates left behind should say something but if that is the taste that Harvey's aim for, we'll carry on walking next time. Honestly, I would not recommend anything we had.

The food wasn't tasty Too expensive is for nothing

Went here for the first time as the first place we went to had stopped serving food at 5 pm. Anyway, I'm glad we did. The service was very good. the food was good and tasty, it's a nice place to eat, a little overpriced, but overall it's worth a visit, couldn't manage a dessert we was too full.

The atmosphere was great and a good smooth service for what was a busy time during the fireworks display in Llandudno. I had the I think double American burger. My wife had halloumi tacos. And my daughter chicken dippers. The only complaint was my burger I felt the pulled pork had turned to mush and the texture of mash. But the chips were great the apple pie dessert was ok and came with two ice creams in a tub. My wife had the fudge cake and said it was fantastic. I think my only complaint is the price when I've compared to other restaurants is mainly the price it was almost 80 pounds. Including two bottles of magners and a orange. But I would still recommend and it's a better alternative than say a wetherspoons if willing to pay that little bit extra

Food was pretty mediocre considering the price, I had the hot dog, and for the price I’d definitely expect more than a sausage you find in a jar and lukewarm onions, the main redeeming factors of this place is the staff, the waiting staff were lovely and helpful throughout

I went alongside my family, totalling nine people on a saturday evening. The young ladies who received us were professional. The drinks and food chosen from the menu were served promptly. We were treated to satisfaction. It is a serene environment, well sryctured and we enjoyed every second of our stay. The restaurant, which is located along the road in LLANDUDNO, made us explore a parking space option in public car park which is just about 2minute walk. We absolutely got value for money. Sheriff

Very friendly staff and food not bad either.

I have to say that the service was excellent and our waitresses was really attentive. However the same cannot be said for the food. The boys enjoyed their meals (trio of burgers and steak) but my burgers were overcooked and not that enjoyable, they were edible but not that great. Also have to complain about the price of the drinks. It’s £3.25 for 1/2 pint of coke which was awful, was like very watered down and not tasty at all. Will not be revisiting

Called in here for food, without booking, seated straight away, nice pleasant girls who work there, served drinks immediately. Decided on ribs to share, steak skewer(cooked to perfection) & the other half had surf & turf (which he said was delicious) we was both in a food coma for the rest of the night ha Didn't catch the young girls name who was looking after us, but she was lovely, had abit of banter with her too. Also noticed that tables where cleared & cleaned as soon as the previous customers had left. Thankyou for a lovely experience, we will defo be returning.

This is my son’s favourite place to eat when ever we visit Llandudno, always clean and great food with very little waiting time, staff are great.

This is our 2nd visit ordered the sirloin steak and it was cooked to perfection full of flavour

Came here with 3 colleagues whilst away on business. Absolutely amazing! Food was gorgeous and the staff are brilliant. It was so good we went back the second night! Thank you for a memorable 2 evenings!

Great service, didn’t book so had a walk in table for 2. 2 ladies served us and really happy with everything. Food was great, good timing coming to the table. Love the ribs! Very good staff working couldn’t have asked for better and good quality food and very professional staff, table next to us had a birthday which was nice to see everyone celebrate. Very good!

Wandering around Llandudno looking for somewhere to eat, we came across this place and thought we'd give it a try. Great service, great atmosphere and the food was very tasty too. Will definitely come again.

Absolutely awful food,with pizzas we ordered bland and had no taste and the chicken on the price piri pizza was just full of water Absolutely disgusting,both children's meals small and bland also,had better pizzas from Asda create your own for £70 definitely not worth the money just a fake hickory's and francie and bennys

Walked in and was shown to our table straight way no waiting as arrived just before it got busy, the service was excellent was was the meal.

If I could give lower stars I would the food was like Frankie and bennies but from pound land the steak was over cooked the chicken was dry and I mean dry the prices were very steap for what you are better off going to McDonald's or KFC i have no idea why so many people were in there not unless they have no taste in food the only good thing about the whole evening were the staff there were great with the kids

Customer service less than impressive. Me and my mate went in and the woman mainly serving was snotty with us from the start. The food was decent enough but the service less so.

If I could give 6 stars for the service here I would. We visited on Thursday 5th September about 7.30pm and were politely told they were short-staffed and would we mind waiting 20 minutes - no problem! We returned to be seated immediately and ordered our food (see pic). The hanging skewer was a really fun piece of table activity - all food cooked to perfection (actually rare when asked - thank you Chef!) Delicious milk shake, chilled beer - it was all perfect. I really regret that I can't recall the names of the 2 women running the front of house as they were amazing!! I hope they read this and realise I am thanking them personally for a wonderful experience!!! 🤩 Definitely recommended and we will be back next year for certain!

Staff were nice enough, food wise, they have vast room for improvement. Flavour of the burger was bland, pizza for the kids were cheap, the starters were probably the worst I have ever experienced and thin spent over £135 and absolutely won't be returning.

We have always dined here of an evening when we stay in Llandudno over several years and have had great meals, Service was ok, friendly staff, the meals we chose were delicious as always, But the hygiene of the toilets were disgusting !! My husband used the Men's room to find there was no soap in dispenser to wash hands, the toilet was filthy and the floor was soaking wet. The Ladies room was useable but not the cleanest I have visited in Llandudno. My husband informed the Manager who did nothing to rectify the situation and yes there was a male & female members of staff on site that evening so this complaint could of be rectified quickly. There was other customers who were complaining too. Come on Harvey's staff - up your cleaning schedules and hygiene!!

Firstly I would just like to say the service from the waitresses were exceptional and does not form part of this review. This review is based on the so called head chef behind the line. His attitude towards the front of house team was terrible. He mocked them, shouted at them, belittled them and I’m not sure for what reason! I run a restaurant and if any of the kitchen team (especially management) spoke to the team like this they would not have a job for very long. The front of house did not stop and ensured every table were looked after. I do believe he struggled to keep up with them and this is the reason why. He tried to say they were accepting walk ins and sitting them on dirty tables but they wasn’t. As soon as customers left the tables were cleaned and set back up within a few minutes. I think the senior management need to praise the waitresses but have a strong word with the head chef

We have always dined here of an evening when we stay in Llandudno and have had great meals, not this time !! Service was good and friendly attentive staff.I ordered the ew York strip steak, sirloin at £24.99, worst I have ever had in any restaurant, full of gristle throughout, told the waitress when she came to take our plates aways and she said nothing !! Wont be visiting again, an expensive night with a crap meal.

Went for a couples evening dinner which most of the restaurant was filled with likeminded couples, all was fine, the food was amazing until a group of approximately 14 men came in and the waitress attitude changed and ignored all the couples to attend a group of men. We asked for a desert menu which was ignored for at least 25 minutes and then ignored for at least another 20 mins by the time she asked if we wanted a desert I was a little bit annoyed and just asked for the bill. Needless to say we will not be returning, there were 2 other waitress sat in the bar area who could of helped out but chose not to do so.

Excellent food..great service would thoroughly recommend...not the cheapest but you get what you pay for...

I can't recommend enough. Turned up without booking a table and was seated straight away, though we were lucky I think because it soon filled up. The food was simply fantastic. Not the cheapest but prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. Staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. We waited maybe 20 minutes for food which I think is about right. A great atmosphere inside,very well decorated and with nice booths to sit in. Good music being played and at just the right volume. Will 100% be returning, you won't be disappointed!

Turned up just before closing as a family with grand parents, mam and dad and grand kids. Made us feel very welcome, everything available, nothing too much trouble. Great food, good selection of drinks, and wine.

Popped in today (21/08/24) and so glad we chose to eat here, menu has plenty to offer and the food was amazing, burgers are in the top 3 I've ever eaten in the country! Served by the very attentive gemma and service was top notch, would definitely visit again and would recommend to anyone else who passes by

We stumbled on Harvey's while in Llandudno. Service was fantastic as well has the food. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend

First of all, amazing service! Very attentive and friendly, wasn’t sure about the sauces so she brought small samples to try. Had the meat free platter to share and a bucket of wings. Wings were great, however the stuff on the platter lacked a little flavor (besides the quesadillas with jalapeños). Overall, would go there again, they have a large, reasonably priced menu and the location is very nice

First time coming here and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not the cheapest place to dine out but we enjoyed our hot dogs. I had the chilli dog which was really nice. We also had a garlic bread which seemed a bit of a stretch at £7 but hey, we still enjoyed it. The staff are very happy and friendly and the atmosphere was nice. It can get busy as we arrived just after 5:30pm and within ten mins or so it did get busy.

Harveys is our go to when we're out in Llandudno. Tunes were really good this Time.

Absolutely loved this restaurant the food was really good. 👌 the kids enjoyed their food and enjoyed icecream Afterwards. Want to say huge thankyou Danniele. For great customer service she got the kids food ASAP so not sat waiting around especially because the restaurant was busy and there where lots of orders on the side that where waited to be being delivered to tables. Would reccomend anyone to eat here

Three girls on more interested in talking to each other than serving had to wait for drinks as they forgot they had to make them as no bar staff?

Really disappointed! Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly waitress and seated quickly. Seating area was clean and comfortable and service was efficient. That's all the positives. The food was terrible , partner had ribs. They were so greasy and full of fat they were inedible. I had peri peri tacos ( £18 ) , they hardly had any chicken in them , probably not even a full chicken breast between 4 small soft tacos , the only flavour they had was the salsa that was added to them. Only reason for the 2 star rating was for the friendly service. Wouldn't return and wouldn't recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Harvey's Bar and Grill in Llandudno, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a modern yet cozy decor that made me feel right at home. Service was top-notch as well. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed, which made the meal even more enjoyable. Didn't like the food, prices ridiculous. Probably that's why place was so empty.

Got to the restaurant about 8.30 on a Friday.the menu looked great.we ordered,while we waited for our starters we went outside,came back and our drinks had disappeared and the girl was wiping our table...we had left our coats on the bench !!! Starters came and they only bought 1 plate for a sharer. Main course came...rib eye steak was the toughest and worse I've ever had..couldn't eat it,it was awful,salad our of a bag and dried up.....never go again

Staff don't care about you and will happily watch you get pestered by others. AVOID. Me & My partner recently visited for the first time, although the food was good our dinner date was rudely interrupted by a random member of the public, who stood over our tablet attempting to tell us about the oddest subjects but more importantly waving/pointing their fingers all over our food, after 5 minutes of us nicely hinting to this member of the public to leave us alone, this person would not take the hints and continued to pester us, we then made it very clear to move away from us, especially after touching our food, they did not listen, at this point, staff should have stepped in but they didn't. The whole time whilst the above was occurring, the majority of the staff including what we believe to be the manager, just stood in the background watching us, it was very obvious how uncomfortable we were and that this member of the public was not welcome at our tablet, the staff did absolutely nothing apart from watching. After the member of the public finally left, only then did a member of staff come over to apologise for the actions of the member of the public during this apology they admitted to knowing this person (which points towards this person being a regular, be aware!) I understand Staff can't control the actions of a person or how they behave but if your customers are clearly uncomfortable/being pestered whilst on your premises by someone you know is a regular/known for doing this type of behavior, the least you can do is, step in/just offer to help your customers. Due to this experience, unfortunately, myself & my partner will not be attending again.

After reading some reviews we werent sure. However we were seated and served quickly. Food was excellent and service efficient. Good sized portions

Awful, cold ribs even after reheating had unrendered yellow coloured fat between ribs, the Cheese-Philly sandwich was equally awful value at £20! Place needs a complete revamp. Never again, £50 for 2 and really inedible. We left most of it in fear of having upset stomachs.

I think the place itself is great, staff great but wasn't overwhelmed t By the pizza burger but that was my choice.. food was on point and my partner had the pulled pork tacos.. just a little advice hold on the lettuce it was almost like a salad taco n little meat

The staff were nice. We could hear a few people complain about the food but we noticed the chef was handling all the food without washing their hands, picking his nose and reaching under his top to scratch his stomach. Overall poor hygiene when handling the food.

Lovely food but a little on the expensive side

The staff here were something else. They were mindful, accomodating and just nice to encounter. It wasn't busy, so emphasised sitting where you felt comfortable. I saw them accomodate a range of people, families with high chair needs, various eating needs, and as a neurodiverse person, I had no notes for them. Food may polarise (beef burgers without additives are plain now - don't blame the chef/produce! Beef just is a little plain.) But I got exactly what I wanted and was treated very well. Thank you to the very nice staff.

Corn on the cob was clearly sitting in hot water for several hours. Boil on the bag/microwave full rack of ribs. Blurghjjh

The ribs are worth sacrificing a limb for. Deliciously soft and just perfect. Words cannot describe it any better than simply perfect. The service was decent although it seemed like the staff forgot we were there and we had to ask for our order to be taken rather than them approaching us first - but it was very busy and everyone makes mistakes! The food didn’t take a long amount of time to come out which was good for our hungry selves.

The best burgers we have ever tasted, it's nice to see your food being cooked, the staff are very friendly and Savannah was very friendly and bubbly. The prices are reasonable and the food is great. We will be back the next time we are in Llandudno and will definitely be telling all our friends who regularly go on Llandudno.

The staff are really friendly, nice place and the food is so good. We had the club sandwich and chilli chicken wrap. Large portions and taste really good. Deffinatley be back and highly recommend.

Llandudno is like a ghost town after 8.30pm, so we thought we might struggle to get a table anywhere on the high street, but we were welcomed at Harveys without any hesitation. The setting is really great and the staff were very pleasant. We both ordered steak with some shrimps and they were cooked to perfection, the desserts were also very enjoyable. It is a bit on the expensive side, but we didn't mind too much as we were grateful that we had managed to find somewhere to dine.
