Hi Chai in Harrow

Order Halwa Puri from them and it came with a hair in it. The staff was so unprofessional and rude they just took out the whole tray without offering anything

I recently ordered a Halwa Poori platter, and the experience was disappointing. They replaced the Aloo ki Bhujia with Chana, which was fine, but I found a hair in the poori—completely unacceptable. The taste was bland, and the service was poor. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

You close at 11, but told us there was no service at 10.25, not cool…!!

Excellent service and definitely the best desk breakfast in London. I have tried many but this is by far the best. Portions are very generous and staff are extremely kind.

Hmmmm where do I start, I’m one of the top 10% google reviewers so my reviews are unbiased. I’ve been to this location a few times as I like an item or two.. service is unengaging so I kind of know what to expect. However I had a mini heart attack today as I sat and ate my food 10 minutes later I hear a squealing Rat 🐀 behind the counter from the kitchen and the guy behind the cash register run as it to throw a trap out or glue trap.. a lady from the kitchen was having her break and immediately looked at me and laughed out of embarrassment like she wanted to say something but couldn’t, I think she saw the reaction on my face and kept and looking behind at the guy behind the counter.. it was an awful traumatic experience and I felt physically sick! That Rat squealing still rings in my ears.. I may a quick exit! Never again..

Nice place to have authentic tea, havnt tried anything else but I always come here to karak chai and always hits the spot!

A really cute place to go for chai and other Asian street food items. I feel this place would be good for breakfast and lunch/brunch. It is a little on the small side but we were lucky to be seated quite quickly. The place was really clean and staff very friendly. The service was really quick. We tried a few dishes. The loaded fries as shredded chicken and sauce which was nice. The club sandwich was very different and I would go back for it, tasted very good. The chicken wrap was very succulent and juicy. Also tried the chicken quesadilla which I personally preferred over the wrap. The samosa chaat was ok, I would want to try the papri chaat next time to compare. We also tried the desi breakfast meal which was halwa puri which was decent too. Most importantly thr chai was amazing! I could really tase the masalas coming through, was tempted to get another cup. This place had 50% off as a promotion so was very reasonable. Overall really affordable and has good quality food. Would visit again 👍🏼

There is one bearded guy who is awful with service and has grumpy face (he treats English people nicely, which is good) . It looks like he is not happy with you ordering food or for making him work. I liked the food but this guy hardly responds when you even ask him a question. There is a good reason why the other chai shop is full of customers despite full price. I am not coming to your store to be disrespected. 50% off does me no good if you dont have common courtesy to at least talk and show respect to customers.

Went for the Paratha roll and egg burger as ir had a 50% offer when the food arrived the paratha was not freshly made but looked like a packaged paratha, although the taste was nice the portion was very very small, paying £4 for the roll and it being 50% off is a total rip off, a child eating that would be ok but not for an adult. The egg burger also very nice taste but again the bap used was so small. The karak chai was the best thing. I hop you guys understand that if u our charging big prices please ensure your portion size matches it, I have had to come home and make toast for myself to fulfill the hunger!!!

Just amazing food… We had Samosa chaat, Bombay sandwich, jalebi and karak chai. It was authentic. The jalebis were thin and crunchy. Just wow… Highly recommended

Love going there for casual lunches

Me and my friends went for a evening tea and snacks, and ended up way surprised.. The food exceeded our expectations. It was a good first time experience. We had the karak chai and tried some chats, kebab paratha and milk cake and we were given jalebi on the house .. It was all yum and worth every penny I spend. Had a good time. Will surely visit again..

Been many times to the restaurant but recently Ordered desi breakfast takeaway for 50 people.Brother Bilal provided amazing service, quantity was really good, reasonable prices. All the guests were pleased. Would love to order again.

First time customers and very happy with the food and experience. Unlike other chai shops, this one does homemade authentic parathas and milky tea, delicious fresh samosa chaat with just the right amount of imli sauce and really yummy homemade kheer. Great service, and a pretty substantial menu for a chai place. Will definitely come back here again with the rest of the family.

Loved our food here, I had halwa puri, a hot chocolate also club sandwich (I took the lid off my drink which I don’t usually do and found this design to my surprise). We went to the park hence the park shots but the puris and halwa was still hot and soft. My fam tried the Karak chai and halwa puri. Will be back to eat here again!

My favourite Chai place ever - I absolutely love their Pink tea! The food is cooked fresh not like most other Chai places.

Service was slow, food was standard, fried eggs was dry,hash brown was hard and dry,Bread was wet and soggy,Karak Chai was nice.Owner kept saying how drunk he was from a new year party he had a night before, i wouldn't visit again

They don't use gloves while preparing food Good thing about halwa puri is they serve with allo tarkari unlike other restaurants that serve with just chola following punjabi trend catering punjabi customer only. Papdi chat they topped it instead of papdi with crushed gol guppa Consistancy in taste it what it lacks even in karak chai. Given chai wala serves packet pori and paratha we tend to try this as nearest otherwise better option available at distance.

Really good food served warm and fast. they are running a promo of 50% off for selected dishes (as seen on the picture), until 31/12/23. Quality food even if in full price, I will likely come back. highly recommended.

Horrible service , waited 20 min only 1 dish was served even though order was for 2. No chai was given . Wouldn’t recommend as they didnt even apologise or say food will take time.

Terrible store , firstly because these cheap people cant even make fresh food so they use old unhealthy oil which was already used to make deserts , etc . Terrible place , never buy ever . Low quality Unhealthy Not even a good atmosphere in the shop.

I ordered Karak tea and it was hot water and powered tea. It's inexcusable that a self proclaimed chai shop serves powdered tea rather than the expected freshly brewed traditional karak chai made with milk and loose tea leaves. The result is flavoured hot water you can pick up anywhere and at most stores. Fake tea. I don't go to coffee shops for Nescafé instant coffee, so I won't be back for powered tea. It may well be that other tea's on the menu are brewed but i feel I was mislead so have no confidence that the others are. Please label what is powered and what is freshly brewed for customers as a courtesy.

As soon and my friends walked in the guy who served us had like a grumpy face. Ordered the tea and wanted to buy the dessert from fridge. He then says you can't eat this inside. We can drink tea but not eat dessert. After 10.15pm not allowed. Even though they open till 11. Around 10.45 pm he walks to our table with his coat on and say we are closing , you have to leave now. Just saying we closing was enough and ok. But then to say you have to leave. Come on man. Learn customer service. I don't think they will last this long with this type of attitude. You have chai wala opposite. Play it safe and go there.

Was told I can drink my chai but CANNOT eat my cake inside as it was within 45 minutes of their closing time?! It was freezing cold outside, so I had no choice but to return the cake. Had I been told earlier I wouldn’t have ordered the chai and gone across the street. Poor customer service.

service was nice and its a cute little chai spot but i was disappointed in the chai. we got kashmiri and kaeak chai, there was no sugar in it, which would be better if the server told us beforehand but taste wise it was very bland and tasted like plain hot milk. would not recommend the chai, the biscoff milk cake was decent!

Nice tea/ chai joint in Harrow offering a variety of hot beverages. I usually go for the karak chai accompanied by some crispy and savoury snacks, such as samosas, pakoras, and chaat. The snacks are well-spiced and complement the chai perfectly. Limited seating area but usually not too crowded and the service is prompt and efficient.

I always visit this place when raffy is there. He explains each and everything in detail, is friendly at the same time. The tea is great as well as the service. Recommended 👍

The service was immaculate, the server was very kind and was able to describe what everything is on the menu for me as it was my first time coming. I order two milk cakes that were so delicious and some chai’s that were also really flavourful. The decor is really nice too and creates a nice classy atmosphere. The place was clean as well as the toilet. Overall a really good place to go to for a quick snack or chai, would definitely recommend and I will be returning in the future.

Delicious lahori flavours and excellent service. Parathas made from whole wheat - healthier. All other chai chains seem to sell frozen wgite flour parathas. If you want quality desi breakfast, this is the place.

I had the desi breakfast (with channa) and Karak tea. I loved the tea, the desi breakfast was ok. The channa wasn't to my liking and I dont like tomato in the omelette. However, the customer service was brilliant. I will return for the tea.

Excellent food and drink! Raff explained all the chai options on the menu and recommended us some that he thought we would like, in particular the Kashmiri and Karak chai. Both were excellent, and we also tried the Paratha and bun kebabs which were beautifully flavoured and served alongside a selection of sauces and chutneys. Finally we had a portion of biscoff/caramel milk cake which was beautifully light and not too sweet. Would happily come again.
