I went to this Halal shop and they treated me so nicely, they gave me a lot of gifts for my daughter and the quality of the rice and spices of them is so good. I will go there again and suggest to everyone Service:5 Quality:5 Atmosphere:5

Shop is fine but the predatory parking company that runs their car park will make sure you pay for the visit twice - and they can't do anything about it.

Well recommended for all sorts of Asian ingredients, both fresh and packed, very friendly and expert staff. Reasonable prices.

Edit: looks like they've responded, I'll update if I get my money back, also I'm sorry but 1+ year is far too long, I'm eating COVID lockdown chickens 🤣, I trust that the butcher at masala bazaar is good and I'd still buy fresh meat from them but there was no clear signage showing that this is out of date stock, I would've avoided otherwise. What, 2 for £10 really isn't special at all when I'm able to get a higher quality patty elsewhere at a similar price per kg. At the end of the day the chicken tasted funny throughout and I'd wondered why until I checked the date, I'm busy so I haven't yet visited buy I expect to get the money I paid back when I next visit. Absolutely DISGUSTING, usually go to Masala Bazar for the butcher but decided to buy chicken burger/sandwich patties being sold for 2 for ~£10.... Low and behold after eating all but one of the patties curiosity got the best of me and I found this.... I bought this UNDER 2 WEEKS AGO Going to have a nice chat with them in person to understand why they sold me 1+ year expired food

There is no parking, I got a parking ticket for parking in their parking, pathetic! And no revert or response when I raised the query

I do most of the grocery shopping here. We get many indian vegetables as well. You get pani puri, muruku, puri unde. All kind of daal, flour, Avalakki, rava. You name it, they have it here. My only disappointment is with the papaya. Twice it was good but then started to have bad once, we cant make out from the outside. Otherwise it has everything under one roof. You can park right in front of the shop and register with them to avoid ticketing.

One of the good places in Swansea to source ingredients for Indian cooking. They stock small packs of most the common groceries, which is a plus.

Good place to buy Halal meat. Variety of frozen food and meat options. You can get beef, lamb, chicken , duck and frozen fishes. We can get frozen paratha and variety of vegetables required for Indian foods. Good variety of rice and wheat options. You will also get mango exported from Pakistan and India. I am very unhappy about today shopping experience. I went to shop today, the online opening time for the shop on face book google and twitter is is 9 am Monday to Friday. I reached there about 9:44 am. I parked my car and went to shop door. it was closed. I checked the timing again on door and the shop should be opened by 9 am already. I thought that probably they are late to open the shop. as I don't live locally and don't know whether they open on time or not. first waited few minutes then i thought to look around and come back in back in 5-10 minutes. i come back in about 5-10 minutes. I saw the gentle man deal with the meat section standing and waiting for opening of shop as well, He angrily was telling me off that why i parked my car there and gone some where else. i explained to him that i came to shop from masala bazar but the door was not opened at 9:44am and instead of standing there I went around with intention of coming back in 5-10 minutes. he was keep threatening me about the parking ticket and was not listening to me that i was there to shop. I normally does my shopping from masala bazar almost every other weekends. i could not understand the rude and threatening behaviour from him. As i was standing there an other gentleman arrived in his car was apparently the manager of shop. They both telling me that how and why i parked my car there. I explained again and again that i was there to do shopping as the shop door was still closed at 9:44 am. There behaviour was beyond my understanding, i was feeling to leave the shop with out buying what i wanted as both of them main concern was why I parked my car there at 9:44 am as they only open the door of shop at 10 am. I explained to them how on earth I will know that you open the shop at 10 am and not according to the given time on shop door and every where on Facebook, twitter and there own web site. As i was doing my grocery in the shop, manager asked me the enter the car reg number on a machine, other wise i will get ticket. Multiple times we went to shop in masala bazar no body ask or bother to tell us about the entry of car registration number on machine. through out the behaviour with me was very bad and both of them keep threatening me about parking ticket, I said to them that it does not make sense at all. very disappointed with this rude, angry and threatening behaviour.

Trying to contact them regarding a £90 deposit last yr. NOT GROUPON. Messaged social media as per website...x2. No response. Calling the number...disconnected. website says open?? Reviews seem to suggest both serving food and not. Perplexed. Just want either money back or a meal. Any help out there?

Booked online for 10/08/21 for meal. Booking confirmed. Got to restaurant closed, all locked up. No contact made, answerphone message only when rung. Have asked for money back via Groupon plus 2 lunch deals.

I beg people not to spend any money on bookings or vouchers here. This company is in very big financial trouble and has left staff unpaid. I took them to court and am owed £4000 which bailiffs cannot recover. Please stab away.

I completely echo the review below and have been ripped off by the owner of this restaurant. I was called at 9.30am on Mother’s Day and was told the sous chef had been told to self isolate so they couldn’t provide the afternoon tea. I was promised a refund which never appeared. After a week of messaging I received a phone call to apologise followed by an email confirming a refund had been issued but it’s now been almost 4 weeks and there is no sign of it. I have continually messaged them but he has failed to even acknowledge them. The restaurant was clearly in trouble financially and the owner has been happy to defraud people. So upsetting. Please avoid at all cost.

I literally don't know where to begin. I'd give zero if I could! I saw hexagon had advertised afternoon tea for mother's Day this year and after the year we have all had (and with medical advice to isolate our baby until we are vaccinated) I thought what would be nice. I messaged , arranged and paid for 3 afternoon teas to be delivered mother's day (Sunday). I was telephoned on the day before 10 and told that apparently a sous chef had been in contact with someone who had covid, the owner explained that as a business he could not risk delivering is the food, I agreed and was absolutely gutted but as with covid you never know what is going to happen from one day to the next. He apologised profusely and offered us free meals and we could I quote 'drink as much as we like' when attending the restaurant as a way of making this up to us. I explained that would not be until next year. He said I would be refunded for the afternoon teas. After a week I had no refund, we had telephoned, text and messaged on Instagram. One message I explained I did not want the 'free food/drink' but simply my money back and had pointed out to him that he had a bad mother's day review on here. He then got in touch, apologised profusely again, said that we could now have a £50 voucher (a lot less than what was previously promised) and that 'ruth' had not processed any of the refunds in his absence to London and as a consequence she has been let go. I then had a text and an email saying my order was cancelled, was told I would be refunded immediately eventhough the email said 9-14 working days. No £50 voucher attached to email like promised either. I waited 14 working days excluding bank holidays and weekends and guess what, still no refund or any replies now. I can see that the previous review I pointed out to him on here has been removed I can only assume she had her refund. Sadly I still don't have mine. What an absolute disgrace, my first mother's day as well. So beware of this restaurant, they are on Groupon too and I wasn't the only victim of mother's day. I hope I and the other mother's get their refunds that's all I have asked of you!

I have been going to the Masala Bazaar for many years now. It is the best authentic shop in Swansea. The selection is vast. The fresh meat counter is excellent. The pricing is cheaper than the supermarkets. The staff are very helpful. Don’t walk past give it a try I guarantee you will visit again if that’s what you like.

If the restaurants had been open this is where we would have gone for a meal, so it seemed the obvious place to receive a meal from for Valentine's. Not being the world's greatest cook I was a bit apprehensive, but the instructions included in the box were clear and straightforward. The tomato and cheese 'jammy dodgers' were absolutely to die for. I could eat them all day! The main course was delicious - who knew how good a sweetcorn sauce could be, and just that bit different, which is what we love about Hexagon. The tartness of the rhubarb, mixed with the creaminess of the custard pie was a wonderful dessert to finish with. All-in-all, a great eat-at-home box, but we can't wait for you to open up again!!

Where to start ..........was recommended by a friend .....we decided to try there take away option .....called the lovers menu ......should have been called ....pay us 55 quid to cook your own meal in a couple of boil yourself bags ....I do t where to start ......disgusting disasterous .....shambolic service ......we ordered the 55 pounds lovers box ....which when we picked up were also informed the dessert was missing .....because the blender broke but in fairness they offered to deleiver the dessert at a later date 😂😂😂😂yes that’s what the young lady actually said .....perhaps she had customer relation experience from fawlty towers .....but that’s wasn’t the end of it ....the deleigghtfull young lady decided y to p argue the point ....about the dessert .....as for the DIY meal ....wow words do t describe it ....hexagon you will never see me again EVER

Booked a table for 10/12/2021 for 6 people for the Christmas taster menu and pre-paid in full as requested by Hexagon. Unfortunately Wales went into lockdown prior to this date so the booking could not take place. I then contacted Hexagon and spoke to the owner and he offered me an alternate time for the booking but due to work commitments this was unacceptable. He asked if I would like to either receive a refund or keep the money until a future date when lockdown would be over. I requested my money be refunded and I would then book at a later date. We are now in the middle of February 2021 and after leaving numerous phone messages on their mobile number and sending Facebook messages and insagram messages which you can see they have read I have still not received a refund or the restaurant has not had the decency to reply to me. I understand the hospitality industry is going through difficult times and they are struggling for survival but I feel I have been patient in waiting till now. I was brought up that if you gave your word to do something then you should do it. Although my previous review of the restaurant said how good they were and the food this has now tarnished that experience and we will never return to this restaurant again.

Awesome for herbs and spices and a well laid out store too. Of the few things I couldn't find myself, the staff were more than happy to help me. Thanks to Masala Bazaar, I'm now making Nepalese goat curry!

Great experience each time I visit. Excellent clean big store, brilliant parking with wide variety of food from all over the world. My favourites were getting fresh Lamb leg & lamb chops from the butcher. Forgot to ask for the name of the gentleman with glasses. He was very friendly and helped me find the items I needed. They have a HUGE range of spices, fresh veg, poultry, sweets, pastes, BIG fish's & so much more... Prices well below what I expected to pay.

Second visit to Hexagon Swansea and the second time to be thoroughly impressed. The steak course was the stand out (although all courses were great). Lovely pairing wine also. Look forward to returning soon. :-)

Me and my partner went to hexagon to celebrate my birthday. We had the 6 course beajolais menu. Each course was tasty. My favourite was the steak and the pepper sauce was nothing like anything I have tasted before. The steak was cooked to perfection, the chef explained it was slowly cooked for 4 hours. It was the most tender steak I had ever had. We had the wine flight and the wines were perfectly paired with the food and really brought out the flavour. It was the best dining experience I had ever had. To finish we ordered an espresso martini and it was so tasty. I've had may espresso martinis in my time but this was by far the nicest, it was made with real local espresso instead of your run of the mill kahula stuff. I think it was good value for money, as the quality of the night was superb. I will definitely be visiting again. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable about the food and wine and overall they just seemed passionate about food and enjoy what they do. I really hope to see this place do well.

Go and try this hidden gem. Nothing like it in Swansea . As you can see I don't write reviews but I was compelled to as it was the tastiest meal I've had in ages. Service was top notch by someone who knows their stuff explaining each course and the wine as we went along. My wife's a vegetarian and they went out of their way to accommodate and I would go back for the vegetarian option next time it was so good. Try the wine pairing menu. Nice to have the interaction with the chef's too who would explain anything you asked and who ar clearly talented and enthusiastic. I'm looking forward to going back for next month's menu.
