Visited the pub after a few years and was very pleasantly surprised. Pub was very clean, including the toilets, outside seating area ample and clean Staff were chatty and friendly. Only popped in for one as we were passing, but stayed for a few because the atmosphere was fab. It's under new management and the landlady clearly has the drive and passion to make this place a happy haven for locals and people further afield alike. We need more old skool boozers like this instead of soulless chain pubs. We'll definitely be back ❤️

Really friendly and helpful bar staff. We were visiting Moor Park for Radio 2 festival and due to the heavy rain didn’t want to take our camping chairs in with us so they let us store them at the pub. Good pint and cheap too. Would return

The Hesketh is a beautiful atmosphere to be after Elaine Bradley took over the place, it’s a nice friendly pub for football and pool, a jukebox that’s up-to-date with the latest top hits charts, friendly staff and also lovely tasty pints with a line clean once a week. Free jukebox and free pool every Sunday and Monday and drinks £3 offer every weekend with selected draught drinks and 25% off drinks every Monday from 4pm till 7pm. The pub is clean and it smells lovely, toilets are clean. Even half time food at football games. And you can hire the back of pub for a party too! 5 STARS 🌟

Brilliant place to go with the whole family. Friendly staff and customers. Decent pool table (free Sundays and Mondays) . Up-to-date juke box . Good selection of drinks and snacks.

Lovely pub , the new land lady has turned the pub around , brilliant offers every week , live entertainment, live football , house racing and brilliant staff and customer service and such a friendly place to have a couple off drinks with your friends and family ☺️

Crack den avoid at all costs you may need to wash footwear on way out

Very nice pub friendly staff and customers we were from our of town very welcoming to us , one of us left a mobile phone by accident we thought it had gone but rang the pub and they put it away for us , great pint, would recommend to pop in when in Preston.

WOW what a breath of fresh air the Hesketh now is, the new manager elaine is just what the place needed. Such a friendly happy face with lots of enthusiasm. The place looks amazing too. Very clean, modern and tidy.. looking forward to how she makes it more amazing! Love the outdoor area too. Cant wait for summer 🍻🍻🍻

Better when it was sizzling pubs with the old managers. Who banned anyone.now it's just gone down hill. Very chavy bar now. Being round a rough council estate. Happily give it zero stars if I could

Nice place but the drinks are more expensive than most pubs in town (same type of drinks)

Ok for a quick drink, no food served as no kitchen available at the time of visiting. Has been like this for over a year.

The new staff that have taken over are BRILLIANT AND FREINDLY. Perfect place for a quite drink with the boys and a lovely place for a family function. Highly recommended having a pint or 2 here 🤔

Nice pint, music not excessively loud, as it was the last visit,. Will go again.

Had an excellent chat with the Landlord or Publican. Felt like having a second Pint for the walk to my accommodation. Learned loads about the cleaning process for the lines and taps as I was slowly drinking my second Pint. (I wanted to enjoy 😉 it.) Think it was a fine choice purchasing a few bags of crisps and peanuts for the walk home.

Young biggish girl Black hair behind the bar. Very rude to people. She forms an opinion on people then treats them with disrespect. Then the owners are clueless to it I seen a customer challenge the landlord and he brushed him off. Disgusting behaviour from a landlord. Think Hesketh is in need yet again of new landlords

Great pub. Good prices. Good food. Staff are lovely. Only let down would be the regulars, an older group that should know better being loud and shouting across the pub to each other.

Was dissapointed with the meal ..fish didnt have any fish but bit that was in didnt taste of fish ..for £8.95 wasnt worth the money wouldnt advise goin for a meal

Fantastic food nice friendly pub'

No atmosphere at all, know it was dinner time but it was depressing and dark My Son and myself ordered a Steak pie with peas and chips. The steak pie was like having a lump of dough shoved in front of you and the pastry round the pie was never cooked in a million years the chips were French Fries. Enough said about the peas, I didn't enjoy the meal at all

Shame I can't put 0 stars. Since this pub has changed hands it's gone shocking. Made 2 separate orders but told we was together. Food came out separate, my sister had nearly eaten hers before mine had come, hubby left most of his as chicken was dry and rubbery, soft drinks where flat and not fizzy. Waited 30 mins for icecream desserts, and another 20 mins for spoons so icecream was melted. Didn't want to complain as pub was packed but rang to speak to manager when arrived home and was told we left a mess, what do you expect with 4 kids under 5 years old? WOULDNT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!

Great staff and a good pint... Please get the old DJ back (Mikey)... The Saturday before last, we literally sat outside in the rain as the music was SO unbearable. Uber-rave bassline noise, more suited to a rough city-centre nightclub.... Maybe some of the chav-types are into it, but, nobody seemed to be enjoying it that night.

The people that go in . The people that was in before . That was bared . Children running up and down . Parsons .not in control. Going out at 10 o clock at night . This should be controlled . In one room ..only . Not the pub .

Used to work here. Left because the management refused to pay me. I'm not the only staff member who left because of this.

Can't remember being in this pub

Food is good. However atmosphere is a little rough and the place smelt bad last time we visited.

Came in and ordered garlic mushrooms, mixed grill and brunch and requested food all came together. Garlic mushrooms was brought out on there own by a member of staff in a hoodie and leggings, once finished our mains was served to us again by the same member of staff in a hoodie, both meals was missing grilled tomatoes and the mixed grill had no onion rings, we then pointed this out for the member of staff to go tell the chef who was also dressed in her own clothes, we got served our missing onion rings then had to ask again for the tomatoes. We then found 2 hairs in the mixed grilled raised this to the member of the staff in the hoodie who then approached who I presume to be the manager, who then took the food away we got no apology of anyone, they didn't even come back over to the table just waiting for us to leave, rude staff and I think they need to invest in a uniform and get some manners

The drinks were nice. The building was well organised. Kids are allowed in. Overall, it's a lovely place for a night out. The only problem is that the fake grass is quite dirty and my friend slipped. Indoor and outdoor tables available.

Been goin in this pub on and off for 30yrs, it's always a hive of activity, the food was excellent and the beer was very favourably priced.

Food arrived at our table then got told to move to other side of pub moved our own plates then where we was told to move to was too loud as we had our 3 week old grandson with us by time we sat and ate food was cold n flavourless

Called in a few times and found it an ok pub. Not eaten here under new management but food was ok previous. Beer ok. Warning though don't walk into gents too fast or you will fall in sink. Whichever idiot redesigned the pub toilets for Marstons needs shooting. Outside beer garden but on a busy road. But you get to watch the people play russian roulette wih the worst ever placed zebra crossing.

We have just had the most enjoyable time at The Hesketh. Today was our Aunty Lilys 104th birthday but unfortuately she passed away on 18th January 2019. We had the funeral today 2.2.2019 her birthday then celebrated at the Hesketh where we celebrated her birthday for the last few years. We would like to thank all the staff for the hot pot and hospitality. Everything was just right. Thank u.

This place is absolute garbage, the only thing it’s good for is a pint, the food is appalling! Don’t ever eat from here

The Hesketh has been nicely refurbished....food is really good and great value. Bar Staff when I visited are smart, polite and friendly. Recommended
