I visited here on a quiet Sunday morning and was delighted by the quality of the breakfast. Nestled as it is amongst a parade of arts & crafts and antiques shops, this cafe is very conveniently located not too far off the beaten track and there is plenty of parking. We sat out front in a cosy little covered verandah, which is perfect on a sunny day. Service is friendly and efficient, and the ambience is very relaxed and informal. We all opted for the medium breakfast (2 bacon, 1 egg, 1 sausage), feeling that the large breakfast (2 bacon, 2 eggs, 2 sausages) was perhaps too much. The 'extra-large' breakfast (3 bacon, 3 eggs, 3 sausages) even more so. Still, it was nice to have the choice. The breakfast itself was pretty quick to arrive and comes with toast and butter. The only negative is that the egg was poached. That would not have been my preference, and I wasn't given the choice, but that is a minor niggle. Overall, a delightful little place serving a decent breakfast in very pleasant surroundings. What's not to like?

Henstead cafe is definitely worth a visit not just to eat, but to see the inspiring statues made from recycled horseshoes. The food was well cooked, but this was spoilt by the temperature of the cafe. Even the two staff were wrapped in full length cardigans. For some reason the double door to the court yard was pinned open, allowing the wind to blow through the cafe. In addition, the hot water tap in the gents toilet did not work.

Excellent food was beautifully presented and a good selection on the menu. Lovely atmosphere and impeccable service. We only live three miles away so lucky to have such a great cafe on our doorstep. The coffee is superb too.

A family union was hosted wonderfully at the Henstead Arts and Craft Centre. Outdoor seating is sheltered and a sun trap, the environment is comfy and the waiting staff are excellent. The waffles are particularly impressive, but the coffee is great, there's a relaxed feel and you can't go far wrong in this lovely setting. Will return ASAP.

Very light bites - sandwiches, plain and toasted, potato wedges, jacket potatoes, things on toast and an all-day breakfast. The cafe is set in a craft and artists' centre with activities and classes, things to buy and lots to see. Good disabled access and parking.

The quest to find a venue that provides a good full English breakfast is one which has long obsessed me. Over the ages many establishments have claimed to offer this, but they have subsequently been crushed by the weight of expectation. After several failed expeditions, I was beginning to despair - would I ever find somewhere that provided a decent fry up. In my darkest hour though salvation was at hand. By chance I happened to visit the Henstead Art and Craft Centre. The Centre is the location for a wide selection of workshops and retail units offering a range of captivating services and products. Nestled among these is the Henstead Country Cafe. It looked pleasant enough from the outside so I thought it wouldn't hurt to see what the breakfasts in there were like. When I entered I was immediately struck by the calm yet welcoming atmosphere. It was quiet but not awkwardly so, the staff were friendly without being overwhelming. The fellow patrons were a mix of ages with some dining as a group and others sitting quite happily on their own. I sat down and looked through of a selection of newspapers while I waited for breakfast. Ahead of the food I was served a fresh class of orange juice which sated my thirst. When my fried breakfast was served, I was immediately struck by the care which had obviously gone into it. All the elements looked freshly prepared and cooked to perfection. Too many establishments offering fried breakfasts value quantity over quality, it became clear early on that the opposite was the case at the Country Cafe. The result was one the best full English breakfasts I have been privileged to consume. The egg was poached rather than fried, a striking yet tasty innovation which paid off handsomely. The bacon struck the ideal balance of being crisp yet not burnt or overly cooked. The sausages were truly delicious being sourced direct from a local farm. All this was complemented by beans which were fresh and avoided the trap of being over baked and dry which is often the case when they are the supporting act in a fry up. The award of five circles on Trip Advisor is something that should never be done without a great deal of prior consideration. However in this instance I can award the sacred 5 without hesitation and would recommend the Country Cafe without reservation.

We’ve not been to Henstead cafe for a little while. It’s not changed and the standard of the food was great. My Nanny says they do the best cappuccino. It’s a really nice little cafe. We had sausage rolls today and they were huge, homemade and really tasty. The staff are very friendly .

I have found that every time I visit this cafe the service is swift, everyone is friendly and polite, and the food is prepared to the highest standard. The food is always presented very well, and it is all sourced locally and most of all it tastes fantastic. They have an excellent selection of cakes available too, for you to enjoy. To cap off your experience though, you could decide to take home some of their fudge.

What an excellent find, tucked away in the corner of Beccles Common. Our Springer Cookie was first through the door and made very welcome. We sat outside in some very comfy garden chairs had a coffee and tea with a sausage roll and cheese scone, if it wasn’t cheesy enough came with an extra pot of cheese. Both came warm and hit the spot. Service was excellent and very reasonably priced £15 for our delights. Good place for a break after a dog walk although I do feel I would walk out of my way if I was in the area again

Great little cafe and kiosk. Fab coffee, great selection of ice creams. Staff were lovely. Perfect place to pop too if using harbour end of Southwold beach / car park.
