Friendly staff, and reasonably priced drinks, but the combination of a swam of flies buzzing overhead inside the bar, a dirty pint glass, and AI generated images plastered across the wall means I won’t be back.

What a cracking local pub. Great atmosphere, Staff very helpful & friendly. Beer, lager at great prices. Next time I'm in Hamilton I'll be popping in for a few. 👍👍👍

Always call in for a drink when I'm working in the area as there is always a friendly welcome and good atmosphere.

I sometimes come here to enjoy the atmosphere in Hamilton. The people are nice and I like it.

Had a few pints here on my last visit from Australia, great atmosphere great Guiness and really friendly service. Highly recommended a visit to this great pub . Will call in again on my trip in November.

Beautiful place And the pint was brilliant. Pity i was with the ex wife. Will be back. Just didn't have a nuff time too enjoy myself. Won't bring the ex next time

Been in this place once ages ago now its a shambles, maybe the new signage outside makes it look good but the attitude of the staff could prob be more welcoming.

Was an awful experience walked in the bar and got grabbed on the arm and walked out with my friend and was told we were not aloud in for no reason at all we where both sober and where just going in for 1 drink while waiting on our show time for the cinema was awful wont ever be going back again !!

Friendly atmosphere. Staff were friendly and drinks were reasonable priced. Good karaoke. Would come back if I were in the area again.

Had a great time in here. Some great traditional Irish music and a lovely pint of Guinness. We just don’t have bars like this back in Calgary. Thanks for the welcome.

Named for Ernest? A traditional styled bar in downtown Hamilton with good views from its largish windows and boasting musical entertainment, but just not when I was there. The service was good, which is usually the case in such bars. I just found it a little boring, for instance there was live football at that time but not showing here. Definitely the most interesting thing here was the tree growing in the middle of the bar, real? I didn't ask.

Best wee pub out so friendly Rebecca and pat are fantastic good crowd that goes in everyone looks after each other like one big family 😀

Are you a fan of pro terrorists music or being treated like a second class citizen just to be knocked back at the bar because you are a serving memeber of her majesties forces or for something as little as just being english then this is the place for you, only thing worse than the over priced drink is the is the attitude from the owners will definately ever be back or recommend to any civil human being.
