The Burnside Hotel in South Lanarkshire

A nice clean hotel cum motel. The rooms were well decorated although lacking in a few of the basics, towel rail, coat hooks, although saying there were loads of coats hangers.

Went for a high tea. Great value, fresh sandwiches and cakes. Friendly service. Great staff. Others were having meals and it looked lovely, so will definitely return.

Spent the one night here. It’s ok, bed wasn’t very comfortable. Room very small, tv very small. Right next to the station so a bit noisy but didn’t really bother me. Breakfast ok.

It was a great stay. Left a few nuts stains over the floors but pass that it was solid.

I was there to attend a funeral breakfast, disabled parking was some distance from the entrance, the inside was.very dull and looked to still have early 80s decor and fittings, and dark and dull

We had our Christmas lunch at The Burnside Hotel for the 2nd year in a row & it was excellent again. Food & service was first class. We will be booking up again for Xmas 2025!

Have just used The Burnside to host mothers 80th birthday party. Excellent room which was just the right size with our own bar, buffet was lovely, pakora, sandwiches, sausage rolls, pizza, chicken goujons, DJ Marco was fantastic and played lots of 50s, 60s, 70s 80s and kept the dancefloor full, the staff were fantastic, setting up the cake and balloons for us and cutting all the cake and putting out on the tables, cannot thank everyone enough for making the night such a success. Will definitely recommend here if thinking about having a party.

Very good service from the staff as we were in a private room on the premises. The food was really good and also very reasonably priced. We didn't have any hotel rooms booked so I cannot comment on them. Overall it was a good experience and I would visit again.

I would just like to give a HUGE THANKYOU and shout out to the marvellous staff of this establishment, that were so kind, helpful and caring. My husband had booked a room and intended to work in the area. He suddenly took ill with his diabetes. They assisted my husband and took excellent care of him, nothing was too much trouble for them, for this i am so grateful. He is home safe and sound now thanks to their care and help. You could not get a better service from the best of hotels they get a 5*****+ review from me!

Location great for visiting family who live nearby. Good bed and nice breakfast. Will return.

Fantastic 40th birthday party and great venue and staff

Brilliant staff, was there for my friends sisters birthday and was looked after by staff nice food too, would recommend

We booked a table For 4 for lunch on the 14/9/24 at 3pm. Arrive no table ready put all 4 of us to a table meant for 2 under a large TV. Eventually a lady move us, had to go up to get menus drinks etc. The male staff showed a very lacklustre attitude, Food was fair, but wasn’t that hot(plates were) and the drinks were expensive. Was really disappointed with whole experience, we won’t be back.

Near to train station. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and comfortable with walk in shower. Food was excellent.

My husband and I stayed here as we had a wedding nearby. The staff were brilliant. The woman on reception (I forgot to ask your name, long blond hair) was so helpful. Really lovely, organised our taxi to ensure we arrived at our venue when we needed too. Just a genuinely nice person.

Attended a couple of functions here and also had pur sons baptism after party, staff always very friendly and helpful. They allowed us access to a room to sort our decorations, and then they very kindly put them up for us before we were due, so we didn't need to come back the morning of. Food was outstanding, we got the full buffet, so many options to choose from, and everyone loved it and is still having about their food. Monies worth! (Been told rooms are lovely, cosy and modern, friends have stayed for the functions I've attended)

Lovely lunch. Friendly staff, relaxed and not to noisey.

Was visiting for a funeral wake so not representative of everything the hotel can offer. The public areas were all spick and span, the staff helpful and there was excellent food served. Parking is too limited but there is space on the main road.

Hotel seems aged and need of some updates, the staff are wonderful

Wonderful atmosphere on premises.

Went there for lunch. They have a great selection of well cooked foods on offer at reasonable prices. The staff were so efficient and friendly. Nice clean toilets. I will be back.
