decent little lunch .. £5 per meal ... well worth visiting .staff very pleasant

LeeBurn is one of our favourite go to restaurants...always a warm welcome. A great choice of dishes on the menu. Service excellent... Chloe served us the last time we were there and I want to pay her a compliment. Polite, friendly, attentive. An asset to the Leeburn team. All the staff are really good, I just don't know all their names in order to compliment them individually. I also need to mention the chefs who work behind closed doors and whom we never get to meet. Thank You to them too. We will be back soon!!

We were a large party. We had a vegetarian, a celiac and a child with a nut allergy. They were very careful with our food. We all enjoyed our food over starters mains and dessert.

This is local to me however haven’t been in for a while. Popped in to avoid cooking and was so struck with how well run it is (not that it wasn’t before). I’ve lost count of bad meals and appalling service I’ve paid more for. The place was immaculate and I watched our server Abby clean the tables (properly-not just a quick wipe). Food was reasonably priced, quick to come and Abby was attentive and helpful but not pushy. I hate people hovering asking every 5 minutes. I commented to Abby that I was impressed by her service and her face lit up. This tells me people don’t often say when service is good but, are quick to complain. Really chuffed I mentioned to her and hubby and I will be back for sure. The other girl on shift who brought sauce was also really friendly and bubbly which is so refreshing. I know hospitality is a tough job but so many are miserable - not in lee burn. Keep up the great work!

Was in for dinner with my wife and son. Food was lovely but the service from Chloe S was fantastic. Can’t rate her highly enough. Will definitely be back.

Really disappointed as last years meal was lovely the Festive dinner this year was ok nothing great parsnips were raw, carrots were reheated the separately priced side dish of cauliflower cheese amounted to 2 small spoonfuls and no pigs and blankets on the dinner plate no compensation offered.

Always go to leeburn for food it's really friendly and staff are all lovely. Food is amazing and very reasonable priced

My mum and I go most weeks and really like it here. The server, Chloe is mostly what makes us come back on a weekly basis. She is excellent at her job and remembers exactly what we eat and drink and has such a warm and friendly manner. It is so refreshing to see someone who is both very efficient and welcoming consistently and this should definitely be acknowledged!

Three of us had fish and one had gammon steak. Gammon steak was fine. Our friend said the fish was fine but my wife and I thought the fidh wasn’t fresh( flesh was brown coloured and quite tough). Our waiter Callum was excellent , friendly and really looked after us. We had a nice table at the window.

No complaints regarding the staff, the waitress was friendly and pleasant but disappointed with the food. My burger was luke warm and I mentioned this to the waitress who to be fair offered to change it but I declined, the burger was dry and the tiny bit of bacon in it didn't even taste nice. My partner had the mixed grill and left most of it, he said the steak was tough and disgusting, he mentioned it at the end and was told he should have said at the start but we don't like to make a fuss. However we were refunded the £3.99 for the steak although would have preferred to pay in full to have got a meal we enjoyed.

I was working in the area and stopping at the Premier Inn next door so I had the meal deal. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially Callum who served me.Full of smiles. The food was excellent and piping hot..There is a good choice of lagers/ales. The Restaurant is spotless.

The fish and chips for two was amazing, combined with the first class service from Callum our waiter made this a truly memorable lunch for my wife and I. Highly recommended.👍

All met here for a family group (30) get together, food was really good and all served together. The staff were fantastic, all very friendly, especially Hannah.

Brilliant lunch at the Lee burn. One of our favourite as a family. Hannah was great also, very helpful and nothing was a hassle. Great with my 5 year old too. Clean and friendly restaurant and pub.

It was very quiet as we went mid week but our server Sean was so lovely and helpful. The food arrived nice and quick and was really tasty. The sharing platter to start was great value for money.

Today we visited the leeburn for the first time. The food was amazing. We were served by Hana and the customer service was amazing. She offered advice of what to eat as I was undecided. All staff greeted us with a smile and made us feel very comfortable during our visit.

My daughter and our puppy visited there last night. The server was delightful and the food was good. The steak pie was good, though I'm not a pepper fan and it was on top of the pastry! We were disappointed that there was no fish, but we will return again. My puppy got lots of attention and she loved it!

Unimpressive, really only a glorified Wetherspoons. We had to sit at an outside table which was ok on a fine night but when the food appeared the first law of presentation was badly unfulfilled. The garlic mushrooms looked like something out of a supermarket bag.The steak pie left much to be desired, looking more like a scotch pie.I had a concoction called a smothered platter which was really just a mixed grill. In honesty, it was ok On the plus side staff were friendly and helpful. Inside , the decor is comfortable but overall this dining experience is something i will not be rushing to repeat😳

Popped in for lunch with my niece & puppy,they have a seating area inside where you can take your dog & have a meal, which when weather grim is a great bonus, food was scrumpy & pipping hot & drinks came up within minutes of ordering. Will definitely be coming back.

This is a nice place, and our company will use it again, but it was early and quiet when I asked the manager if he could send someone to our table to take tea and coffee orders, as there were a few of us having a small business meeting, but surprised to be told no - you have to go to the bar, which I did and stood around waiting for someone to show up 🤷. If that's their rules - fine 👍

Been in hotel next to it for 5 nights so was there every night while the food is fairly all right but the steak for 3 days was coming completely differently cooked. Ordered all of them medium the last one was part of smothered plate with gammon and chicken. I have tried every bit of meat and when was trying a steak itself I found out it was clocked very rare so I asked to replace it. They have took my plate and gave me steak with chips... So i waited again for waiter to ask where is rest of my meats and eggs. Waited again.... Only to miss out egg this time and have well done steak. But at this point it was already an hour and I was starving so ate it regardless. Today I have ordered burger with extra 3 chicken gujouns. At first my chicken gujouns didn't come at all... Then 2 of them came out and I had to ask for missing one. Really annoying by the service.

Had a magnificent vegan burger here. Loved it! Our whole party had great food and empty plates all round. Customer service was excellent too and really attentive and friendly

The server we had was amazing and went out of her way to make sure we were well taken care of, only wish I remembered her name. The food and cocktails were great but the service really made it so much better.

There was what appeared to be a female bar manager who was very rude and snappy to younger members of staff ( Sunday the 8th of July ) as she couldn't find an order on the till, I was near enough work place bullying and in front of customers so can only imagine when the customers are not there. I won't be back The food was nice enough. I just don't want to see that when out for a family lunch.

Food was not good, not the chefs fault, just tasted like it was already going off, probably the owners buying cheap quality, the staff were great, the seats we sat on were minging, luckily we had baby wipes to clean them before we sat down.

Disappointed that the kitchen was closed early so despite having booked a table we didn't get any food. We decided to stay for a few drinks but the bar closed just after 10pm on a Friday night. I would not expect the restaurant and pub to remain open for long based on our recent experience. We have been visiting the Leaburn since it opened but not sure we will be back now. Not a good experience

I am a grown man and ordered pie, peas and mash and was insulted with just 12 peas and a spoonful of mash

Come here every weekend either for coffee or wine just to chill for an hour on occasion have a meal staff are all lovely can't find fault with the place music in the back ground so can have a conversation without raising my voice cheers to all 🫠🫠

Staff are very friendly and helpful, the layout is brilliant with a separate bar area to the restaurant area however you can get the same menu either side. Food is quality and tasty. Been with big groups and they have been very accommodating each time.

We go to the Lee Burn often with it being our family local. Food is spot on 95% of the time which is why we keep returning. Each and everyone of the staff are brilliant and also excellent with our kids! Don’t know all of their names but special mention to Chloe, Katie, Chris, Mark, Ben & Megan! Thanks :)

The Leeburn has a great 2 main courses deal for £11.99 between 4-6pm, plus you can add a starter or dessert for £3.50 each. Great selection, tasty, and superb service from the staff there 👌. Pics are sausage and mash in onion gravy plus caramel apple betty.

Horrible sausages not everyone likes spicy sausages and unfortunately when we got our breakfast it was cold mind you toast was hot wouldn’t go there again

Had 2 hours to hang around waiting for my car to be serviced so walked along to Leeburn. Great all you can eat continental breakfast buffet with hot food cooked to order for £10. Served by Chloe who was lovely and friendly as well as efficient.

Went here for our Christmas dinner. Entered the premises and waited at the sign saying please wait to be seated. Waited 15 mins and no one came to see us. We entered ourself and sat at the bar. The bar staff ignored a member of our group looking for a drinks 3 times. Eventually we got seated at our table. What a let down. Waited 45 mins for starter to come. I got a prawn cocktail, 5 prawns with very little sauce was disappointing, Another 45 mins for main meal for it to be cold. Some veg was soft and some was hard. But still not warm, we ate it that fast before it got even colder, Waitress was amazing to be fare. Won’t be back, worse Christmas dinner ever
