We’ve been here multiple times and the food is consistently good,informal setting,DJ can be loud but music is normally ok,service is great especially Jay!

Poor staff behaviour and waited for 1 hour but they don’t respond to me at all. Completely unacceptable!

Atmosphere is great! Service is good. Food is okay. In my view, there are lots of other restaurants nearby where you can find the same foods at almost same price but with a better taste. Over all, you won't regret going there, but, you will feel like, "it could have been better".

A great, inexpensive, freshly cooked meal. Unusual but interesting drinks choices and app ordering, which I need to get used to.

First time here last weekend, and I was pretty impressed. I ordered food & drink via a QR code, and it turned up on the table as soon as it was ready. Great welcoming service, all staff we dealt with were friendly. We had sweet & sour chicken ( the portion was huge, so we would probably only order one between us next time), noodles and salt, and pepper chips. The 2 4 1 cocktail hour went down well. Already booked again. One major negative was the sheer state of the toilets, but I dont want to dwell on that as beside that everything was great.

Very tasty food, got the salt and peppered chips and crispy chili beef, and nice interior with good music. Quite expensive but not used to Manchester so perhaps normal for the area but very nice nonetheless.

Mostly go for the fruit bubble teas which are consistently good. The few times I have ordered food have been tasty and as expected.

We came for an evening meal it's 3 places in one we went to the bottom one food was nice served really quickly you order it all through a qr code you have to register and be verified but it doesn't take long the food was nice nothing to set the world on fire but does the job

Food is amazing. I'd highly recommend the sourdough prawn toast, very crispy 😋 staff were nice enough. Ordering is via QR code on your table. Even with all I have written I will not be going back due to the state of the toilets. In a word they were DISGUSTING! I'm not against male/female toilets but if you're going to have them in a restaurant they need to be constantly checked. The filth was something I hadn't experienced in a long time looking similar to the toilets at the end of a music festival. It's a shame because the food was really very good.

One of my favourite places to eat. Great atmosphere and the food is always so tasty. I recommend the beef bun hue, the Korean chicken (not the hot Korean chicken which is very hot), the crispy chilli beef and save room for the custard bao.

Good food that is freshly prepared and seemed to be entirely cooked on the premises. A wide menu of Asian food primarily Thai, Chinese and Vietnamese.

Great service, really friendly staff and cool place to eat. Genuinely some of the best Sui Mai you can get, had to tell my mum. Great range of food, it really covers all the bases especially if you're craving Korean and Dim Sum at the same time. There's even sushi. The music was deafeningly loud. We spent the meal in mild discomfort shouting at one another and even the wait staff would have to yell to be heard. The DJ couldn't/ wouldn't lower the volume. It was like eating in a night club and it wasn't enjoyable. It was louder than a gig and the acoustics meant the sound just bounced around. As great as the food was we probably won't go back based on how painfully loud the music was - it made the experience really exhausting. Left with ringing ears and crackly voices. Takeaway though? Absolutely.

I do love this place although on the pricier side for food I enjoy the desserts mainly, I normally get Bingsu from here and have tried each flavour however today and on another occasion I got served basically liquid and so did my other 2 friends , I’m sure it was a accident however it was very disappointing as uasually I get a lovely bowl of shaved ice

Visited Hello-Oriental today for the first time and definitely won't be the last! Not only was the food amazing, the service was brilliant. We were celebrating my daughters bday they went above and beyond to make it special. Thank you, the ice - creams were a big hit!

Food was fantastic, and arrived extremely quickly, only issue we had is we'd actually finished our meals before our drinks arrived, the bar service is very, very slow.

I absolutely loved the food at hello oriental when it first opened, it was my go-to spot. Recently, however, it seems like they have become less focused on serving quality food. This isn't just a one-time issue, as it has happened the last four times I've visited. Sadly, it wouldn't even make my top 10 list of oriental food spots in Manchester anymore.

Come here every week. Food and desserts are amazing and very tasty. The best resturant going. Service is on point.

Food is awesome from this place, a huge variety to pick from. The Nasi Goreng is really good. You order from an app when you get to a table, which is pretty cool. The service is also good and pretty quick. All in all, a really good place, well worth visiting

The food here is amazing. You have to try the crispy chilli beef, the beef ho fun noodles (thick flat noodles) and the sichaun chips. These are a few of the dishes ive tried. Ive heard the sushi is good too. Cant wait to try other dishes. Amazing service all the time.

Really gutted to leave this review, but the food standards seem to have dropped in the past few months. I ordered the chicken burger, which was rock hard, and the meat was grey—not fresh at all. My boyfriend’s Vietnamese pork tasted like processed or tinned meat, with a really strange taste and texture. Unfortunately, the next morning, I felt unwell, and I suspect it was from the meal. After reading recent reviews, it seems this is a recurring issue. I’m so disappointed, but it’s clear that such a large menu might mean the food isn’t cooked fresh. No one approached our table to clear it or check how our meal was, which is also concerning, especially given how many people might have felt unwell recently. I really hope improvements are made and that this issue is looked into.

Ordered a Duck and rice to be delivered, it cost £20 (excl service and delivery charge) It was a pile of rice with pieces of duck that had no meat on it all, sprinkled with a couple of spring onions and chilli. There was no veg or sauce as described in the description on the menu. It was a total mis sale and absolutely disgraceful to have charged £20 for it.

Don't trust the Instagram reels, overall not worth the price could get better from a Chinese takeaway for half the price. Made me and my girlfriend feel ill for the rest of the night. Food: I had the 3 roast with rice: char Sui pork, duck, pork belly and the spicy noodle carbonara with tempura prawn. Rice dish: • Came with hardly any sauce rice was minimum effort • Duck was all bone • Char Sui pork was quite nice some bits were really chewy Noodle dish: • Broth tasted like it was from a ramen packet • Prawn katsu was great but the batter got soggy in the broth Service: • Tables were dirty • Played both music and the avengers movie on the TV so was really distracting and weird to play a movie in a restaurant • Got the rice dish quite quick but then waited 20 minutes for the noodle dish, if you go with a friend there's a very good chance you won't eat together

Incredible food! All so yum and loads to choose from. Venue is also awesome

Glad we shared our first dish as the other one we ordered didn't arrive until we had finished our first. They had an avengers film playing as well as music which was a weird vibe. The food was ok but I'm not sure I would go out of my way for it in the future when focusing on just the taste, apart from that though both me and my partner felt queasy for a few hours after. Probably won't eat here again.

Cool place with a cool vibe. Food was a big let down: - salt and pepper chicken - really tough, we left more than half behind - teriyaki beef bao bun- nice, but only a small amount of beef - nasi goreng- well below average - schezuan chips- really nice- the thing we really enjoyed Not sure if we ordered the wrong stuff, but wouldnt go back for the food.

Brilliant service, Jay could not have done more for us! The concept is great and such a cool environment. The dim sum is probably the best we have had in Manchester and do not miss out on the house made chilli sauce!

Attended with a large group of friends. We loved the food and drinks here and can’t wait for the Trafford Centre location to open. Our main waiter was friendly enough but it was hectic and loud in there. No one greeted us as we walked in so we didn’t know where to sit etc and had to walk to the bar to find a waiter. The music was just too loud and we could barely hear each other. The supermarket is really cool so all in all we really liked it, those points just need improving.

I've been to Hello Oriental numerous times and it never fails to impress me! I've tried multiple menu items such as their Nasi Goreng fried rice, Beef Pho, Ho Fun noodles, etc. And they've all been at an impressive quality as well as quantity! I do recommend to not order too much as the portion sizes are generous and their mains are always more filling than it looks! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!

Nearly an hour late and one of the items we ordered was wrong.

Nice chilled out space, great choice and food was nice but not amazing. We really enjoyed the bubble tea and the sourdough prawn toast.

The food is good. However, I ordered the kids katsu chicken and the chicken came cooked but slightly pink inside so was hard to eat. I ordered the sichuan chilli fried chilli burger and it was definitely undercooked. I bit into the burger and there was a very obviously undercooked part. I told the staff and he said he’d speak to his manager but came back and said it’s been cooked for a “very long time” and there’s no chance of it being undercooked when it most definitely was. Didn’t end up eating the burger at all and was put off eating the rest of my food. The salmon dragon roll sushi was really good. I’m not a big fan of sushi but this was really good and would really recommend.

Overall, everything was lovely. I ordered a duck noodle soup. 24-hour, slow cooked duck.. I had expected like everywhere else I've been to, that the duck would be a breast cut up. There was more bone and cartilage than meat. There was shredded duck in the broth. I wouldn't order it again. Besides that, I ordered a bowl of kimchi, which was good. Shared a plate of katsu chicken curry chips. They were nom noms. Had ice cream to finish, which was also nice. I didn't appreciate the tip system because we scanned the code on the table. Took 5 steps to get from the kitchen to our table. The fresh cold water machine was good. I also had their only larger beer, which was also very nice.. my only real beef was the duck. I expected better.

There was only one issue. We sat on lower level. When the DJ started, the music was a bit too high for us to hear each other. Killed the chance of conversation. Everything else was great!

I brought my dog to Hello Oriental today. The staff first brought him a bowl of water and then also some chicken. How lovely that was! Food was amazing and I love the friendly street-food vibe in the restaurant.

Good place. You can make an order through the application and there is a large selection of dishes. But if you would like to try real authentic Asian dishes, you will need to choose another place. Despite this, it is delicious here. We tried sushi but keep in mind that the pieces of fish will be very small. The ice cream and bao buns were incredible. The downside was that we ordered two portions of sushi, but for some reason we were first brought one portion and after a while others were brought. It was the same with ice cream. It is not clear why there was a period of time for this, because we made an order from one application and expected that everyone would be served dishes at the same time. There is also a DJ that creates a cool atmosphere.

Absolutely fantastic oriental food spot in the heart of Manchester. Choose from grab and go baked goods (ground floor), gorgeous homemade Pho (-1 floor) or any street food indulgence you could want (-2 floor)! This is a great little find and was fantastic for the price. Absolutely delicious.

Have eaten here on a few occasions, lunchtime and evening meal plus occasional takeaway from the coffee shop upstairs. Excellent tasty food, for a decent price in a good vibe. Will return again no doubt when in the area.

Quick service and nice food. Four stars rather than five because the plates/bowls are too small for the food. Napkins could be larger or stronger as well becuase they kept ripping.

We were in Manchester City Centre that day and looking for a some new culinary experience. Saw Hello Oriental , walked in and was greeted by staff Bryoni. She’s very helpful and friendly. We proceeded to the restaurant downstairs and found the place provides a variety of Asian food. We ordered some Chinese, Korean and Malaysian dishes. All were deliciously cooked. We had a very enjoyable and satisfying experience there.

Visited on a Saturday night. Great atmosphere with a DJ. The food was lovely, and portions were a good size. Good value. Will definitely be back.

Went popped in for the first time after a recommendation. Was unsure of the seating arrangement and stood waiting to be seated but soon told by another customer you just find a table. Food was amazing. Softshell crab burger was unique and delicious.

We pre booked as we were going on a Saturday night so wanted to make sure we had a table. To pre-book you have to pay £5pp in advance which it says will be taken off your bill. When we arrived we asked the man at the top level and he said to head straight down to the bottom. We got to the bottom and had no idea what to do? There was no member of staff waiting for us to tell us where to go, no staff in sight! We headed over to the bar / kitchen area and basically had to interrupt someone to tell them we had a reservation so they could seat us. They sat us down and moved our reservation sign with our name on to another table. Then we scanned the QR code and looked at the menu to which we suddenly thought well if we pay on our phones how exactly do I get my deposit off the bill?? I again had to go and find a member of staff to ask, to which he said, "umm no idea ask her" and pointed to someone else. I was then told oh it's a different system so you'll just be refunded in a few days. Not a great system at all, so now I'm £20 down and have to hope I get refunded! When the food came out we had items forgotten that weren't brought out and AGAIN had to find a member of staff to ask for them (they were definitely forgotten not just brought out at different times as one was a sauce that didn't turn up and we waited a good 15mins before asking a member of staff incase it was just on its way). The food itself was ok, nothing special for the expensive price though and the beef inside the bao bun was extremely fatty and tough to eat. Typical Asian food really and the sauce in the bao buns has dyed my nails yellow. I also ordered an ice cream which turned out to be the really cheap Mr whippy type ice cream, and we ordered alcoholic bubble teas which were disgusting. And to top it all, we've all had bad stomachs since. Unlikely to return.

Really good food court and excellent food. You can order from a menu but best thing is to scan the tables QR code and an online menu will pop up. You add items to your order/basket and pay at the online checkout. The food comes quickly. They also have a wide selection of drinks, a large screen TV and 3 split levels of eating and drinking.

The kitchen closed earlier due to match. So had no food and went off. But previous visits food was good . More on the sweeter side but good.

It’s quite the achievement to go from a 5 star restaurant to a 1 star in short a space of time. The staff are rude and disinterested. Don’t ever come if there is an event. The music blares like you’re in a club and it’s unbearable. We asked multiple times for it to be turned down or to be moved and they just turned it up. Won’t bother coming again I’ll just order on Deliveroo until they decide if they want to be a restaurant or a club.

Incredible food and there's something for everyone in terms of taste and dietary requirements. I've been here for a while now and it's always a hit. The desserts are amazing, like the Creme brulee bing su and bubble teas! Although, sometimes I think some of the meat dishes are quite fatty but cooked to perfection. This includes the Taiwanese pork belly which is cooked amazingly but the majority of my dish was the fat. It would also be nice if they had more south east Asian curries, because they only have the Malaysian curries (which are also yummy).

Personally I won't recommend. Food was ok the chicken dishes we ordered too overcooked very hard to chew even. 😐😐

Average food. Lots of choice on the menu and convenient to order on the app but the dishes I chose were just OK and in some cases a little bit bland. The bubble tea was nice, I liked that. Very cool venue though I enjoyed the atmosphere and staff were generally nice. Also cool shop.

The football was on so the place was packed but it was filthy dirty . Dirty plates everywhere tables all Sticky and the food was just so underwhelming, a lot better Asian food around Manchester . The whole place just wasn’t a vibe .

Went for the bottomless wings, food was spot on, we all really enjoyed them, just note you need to ask for more wings as the staff don’t come round to check if you need more, but no complaints from us, had a great night with tasty wings.

Amazing food in a great location with so much choice on the menu. Prawn and chive dumplings and noodles were a highlight, along with the frozen lychee martini. Service was excellent - Jay our server was the best!

Initially the food looks a bit pricey however you do get very generous portions. I would suggest sharing dishes between your group, I ordered a portion of crispy chili beef which was lovely but with sides was too much for me. That's obviously no criticism. Very tasty food. Service was fine although I was waiting a good 5 minutes for my meal while my side sat in front of me going cold. Just bad timings I guess. Worth a visit. Order from the app at your table.

Young people crowd. Basic decor and pretty noisy. Uses QR scanner for order and payment. Food fast delivery and good quality though expensive given the self service element.

Food is great! The staff are great! Me and the family come regularly and we are never disappointed. Feels like home when we come and most importantly jay is the man that makes us feel welcomed and looked after.
