I went here yesterday because my sister is gluten free and dairy free. The menu on line implied a huge selection of salads and smoothies. We were very disappointed! The location seemed promising too. We also had out of date crisps and it turns out most of them were out of date. We were offered a different pack in exchange. The £7.50 salad was just a mushy mess of old tomatoes and avocado. The coffee wasn’t brilliant either. The banana muffin cake lacked flavour and was dry. So many places hype up their menus but in a place that was so ethical where was the gluten free bread alternative!! Avoid this place. Won’t be back!

Awful! Do not go here. Out of date crisps. Hard to find. Worst cafe I’ve ever been to.

Not particularly friendly service, expensive food ( tasty but for the money I would have expected larger portions) Nothing really special - one of many hipster expensive cafés in London

Delicious quick lunch and great coffee. Sadly didn’t get her name but the Greek barista here was one of the friendliest people we met in London!

Thank you to the remarkable young lady (member of staff) who took such good care of me yesterday just as the cafe was closing. Your care and generosity was amazing. I am So sorry I did not ask for your name. Needless to say, I felt better within minutes thanks and bless you!

Very underrated Cafe. Amazing pastries & coffee / tea. Very cool staff. Difficult place to find but once there, haven of peace and delicacy in the middle of London's buzz

This cafe in Somerset house was recommended to me and the indoor / outdoor seating options good. The food is amazing, under 10 pounds for a salad plate, although some protein options are add on. Good place to relax and refresh if you are not in a hurry. Other reviewers mention slow service, I won’t make any comment about that as it wasn’t my experience.

Painfully slow service. There was only one member of staff, who seemed to be running the entire cafe themselves, and totally indifferent to customer service. The customer in front of me gave up on ordering any hot drinks after waiting 15mins. If I’d not been in a rush I’d have given up. Food was ok but strange they can calculate and display the carbon footprint but not the calorie content.

The worst service i have received for years. 2 lads who could not go any slower at serving. Pity because the coffee and food were good but waiting 12 mins for 4 people in the queue to be served is indifference taken to a new height.

Really great atmosphere and fab choice of coffee and cake. Was able to work without interruption for a couple of hours. Well worth a visit if you are looking for a bolt hole with great beverages on the Strand. Helpful staff, too.

Fuimos a almorzar ligero. No volveremos

This is within Somerset house, and is very busy. Maybe we were unlucky on the day but the cafe was littered with cups, p,ages etc. They use plastic cutlery paper plates that are all put into one bin but make a big thing about recycling the cups ! The food was quite expensive for what it was, but perhaps that’s London.

Charming staff, good rich smooth coffee and fresh pastries make this a really lovely place to eat. Special mention to Erik the Moose and his barrista creds.

Glorious day - wanted a drink and a snack - inside the South Wing, part of the Bryn Williams facilities - quiet - windows open for fresh air - environmentally conscious - nice coffee and tasty snacks (sausage roll and victoria sponge) - very pleasant.

I HAVE BEEN USING THE R.A. GRAND CAFE FOR A LONG TIME AND HAVE TO SAY THAT EVERYTIME A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE HAS ENSUED. I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FAULT THE QUALITY OF FOOD, SERVICE AND SPACEOUS SURROUNDINGS WITH SOME NOSTALGIA THROWN IN....A BETTER TIME COULD NOT BE HAD EVEN IN FORTNUM AND MASONS...!

The hotel is in a great location. About 1 hour of slow walking from the center through a beautiful park. The rooms were cozy and clean. The maid came every day and cleaned the rooms. I liked the quality of the towels, you don't see that anywhere else. What bothered me was the breakfast. They say that in England they are picky about tea, so don't expect good tea or coffee in this hotel. It's the same for breakfast every day, you have to pay extra for the rest. I have a lactose allergy and so I was pretty screwed. Yogurt, milk with flakes (the cheapest ones), toast with cheese and then only jam and croissant. We didn't even go for it on the last day. I also missed a glass or the possibility of making coffee/tea in the room. I recommend the hotel, but without breakfast.

Charged £6 for half pint of lager shandy??? The bar server was clueless and I felt to embarrassed to question her at time.
