I ordered a celebration cake at very short notice. It was absolutely superb; my grand-daughter was thrilled with it and the whole family enjoyed it immensely. I was also impressed by the pleasant and professional way that my order was handled.

Popped in to pick up a sandwich to have later having seen menu online, lots of choice for us veggie freaks, we both had a halloumi and red pepper sandwich to go and also got a mushroom and black bean "sausage" roll, everything was delicious and decent value. Also had coffee and chocolate while there sat on the pavement seating watching a red kite circling and soaring, and had a quick chat with lady that owns Heirloom complimenting her on her veggie/vegan friendly menu

We absolutely love Heirloom. There is a huge selection of delicious baked goodies, including vegan options, my favourite is the birthday cake blondie (yum!) We’ve also had several cakes made here too, including my daughters 1st birthday cake, which was absolutely amazing. I love it here so much I sometimes drive over from Leighton Buzzard just for a coffee!

Ordered a box of brownies for local delivery for friends who are new parents. The staff were so friendly helping me place the order over the phone. Super quick service with same day order and delivery. They even included my special request with a small card and message. You really helped me help make my friends day- so thank you very much! And of course the brownies are delicious!

Edlesborough Ford has a special place in my grey-haired heart (as Dylan Thomas would say). Never mind scrumping apples - we discovered that upstream of the Ford itself and within sight of the old Windmill - there roamed delicious rainbow trout who would succumb to a knob of bread paste on a 10lb breaking strain line and a size 10 hook ! How delightful it was to sit down again for lovely cakes and tea / coffee. Steve Creed, Bruce Lange, Wilf Hately; and 'chew the fat' about our naughty pre-teenage poachery at 'The Hirloom'. I no longer have the split cane rod that I swapped with Bruce, But if 'The Heirloom Cafe' want's a 'wall-hanger' I can gift something similar (or swap it for a cup of tea and a cake ?

The best cakes I’ve ever tasted! Especially the carrot cake, bread pudding and red velvet brownie. Yum! Only downside is the bread pudding always is sold out by the time I get there - a good thing for my waistline though.

We came here for Saturday brunch and the place is obviously very popular with the locals! They have a great selection of cakes and bread etc although the brunch menu is more lunch-ish than breakfast/lunch. Lots of good vegetarian and vegan options and good outdoor seating. It was a bit pricey for what it was but the staff were friendly and the service pretty good.

Great in the early years, but staff and food/drink quality have just nose-dived. If you are into public humiliation dare to try and mention that things aren't quite right and you can have the pleasure of being derided and discussed with another regular customers. Go in at your own peril.

As well as selling great savoury & sweet pastries and cakes, Heirloom can also bake cakes for special occasions - so I ordered a fabulous 8" lemon and orange drizzle cake for a birthday celebration and visited to collect it. It had a fantastic flavour and the cake was moist with a great texture. I also had a very good flat white when I collected it. Strongly recommended!

Used to have fantastic cakes but last couple of occasions the cakes have not been fresh. Maybe having them now in the shop window is the cause. Very disappointing

Food has always been exceptional (we always eat vegan and vegetarian), the atmosphere is brilliant and the passion of the owners shines through every time. Have eaten here as a couple and with our two children (young and not so young) - always a pleasure. Oh, and the coffee is brilliant too.

Not the cheapest but welcoming and friendly with healthy options. The atmosphere is pleasant now that unobliging, misery guts manager has gone, replaced by a lovely young village mum. Delicious soups. So much busier with the owners on board. Super selection of cakes for those with a sweet tooth.

Really fresh unusual food in a comfortable but quirky setting. Lots of choice which I particularly appreciated as I am wheat- and lactose-intolerant.

We took a break in a long cycle for a cuppa and a piece of cake at about noon on a Sunday. Unfortunately a group of about 10 were being served and so the other customers who arrived in the next hour had long waits and many gave up and left. When our order did arrive, the cake and brownie were delicious, but the tea and coffee were rather small and could have been hotter. A nice place, but probably best avoided at busy times. I did see that they are dog friendly.

The warning signs were there, £5.50 for bacon sandwich. There is no where else close to get anything to eat so I was kind of stuck. But for such extortionate money at least make it look like £5.50 worth. The bread was border line stale, the bacon was over cooked and the service was hardly friendly.

We were walking around the village and went in for coffee. Wide choice for coffee - we had lattes and they were great. We also had Bakewell cake, very yummy. Place has a community feel to it, which was very pleasant.

My new favourite coffee stop! Hidden gem of a cafe in quiet village. Coffee is awesome and food is delicious for such a small kitchen. Homemade fish finger sandwiches....yum.

This cafe is such an asset to our village and seems to be well patronised. I went there with a friend for a morning coffee and we were not disappointed initially although when we went for seconds the coffee machine was out of order!

We went here for breakfast today. I had the avocado and eggs on toast. One egg was so undercooked, like when I cut in it just seeped liquid all over my plate, the yolk wasn't even warm. The other egg was hard. The toast was the smallest, thinnest slices of toast and was burnt. It's lovely inside, the treats and little bits look lovely but for actual meals it is over priced (£7.50 for a sausage and bacon and sandwich which my boyfriend had) and for us really disappointing.

My first here that was recommended by friends. A great cyclist stop, there were quite a few of us, we locked our bikes up across the road and were able to see them from the window.

I suppose the residents of Edlesborough and Eaton Bray won't thank me for calling their home 'nowhere' but there is very little in this area apart from a pretty church and a few shops. Most if not all the pubs have long gone, so to find this little oasis open is a godsend. Really good coffee with guest single bean options and a wide range of other drinks would make Heirloom stand out but there's a bonus - the food is fantastic. Keeping the menu simple (mostly sandwiches and 'on toast' variations, with a couple of daily specials) pays dividends here as the quality is fantastic. I've never eaten a better bacon sandwich. The cakes, all made on the premises, are equally delicious. Again, the best chocolate brownie I've ever eaten and a dazzling polenta lemon drizzle. Go out of your way to eat here!

I popped in first thing in the morning, ordered a bacon sandwich and cappuccino. Both were superb! The granary bread was really fresh, lots of bacon and plenty of sauce on the side for me to put on! The coffee also was great! The cakes on display all looked amazing feel like I must return to try a slice, although think it would take me a while to decide as all looked so tempting!
