I’ve been going here for along time the people are very nice and the food is great not perfect but still nice and is resemble price I would recommend any day

Ordered the hot shot parmo and it was excellent. Always an added bonus when you get proper chip shop chips! We’ve ordered numerous times from here (mainly for collection) and the food is spot on.

Horrible food,Omelette was cold and tasteless,chips were the same Fish bites,were rubbery,Pizza tasted eggy even with The 15% off.NOT WORTH THE MONEY......

Three times been here . First time top notch. 2nd time . Under the shelf kebab and the same third time .. absolutely disappointed. And will never go back ..

HORRIBLE! Not a single redeeming feature… Food isn’t fresh, but cold and pulled from tubs! Staff pick up salad and fries with their HANDS!! If you say anything, they’ll joke about you in their foreign language! No menus on the walls, only paper, which they don’t stick to. After I’d already paid for my meal, the server told me I wouldn’t be getting certain items, and no refund! Because…. Errrr…. the menu in their heads had just changed?! Seems to be no difference between portion sizes. Everything is small, even large. The place is a mess. One window is shattered and covered poorly with tape. Sharp glass is still exposed! Pizza boxes are on the floor!! I know takeaways are supposed to be cheap, but this place is waaaay below even the expected low benchmark.

So kebab was supposed to be with salad only had a bit of lettuce onion a baby tomato and slice of cucumber where's rest gone

I've ordered from Ere loads of times unfortunately tonite wish I adnt yeah I understand that threw no fault of mine it went down to wrong address don't no how cause just reordered previous order food was in van for about 30 mins cold when it arrived donner meat like rubber just couldn't eat cold food plus orders wernt as big as when I started ordering there half as much as when I first started using them but hey ho never again and by some of the reviews I've read a few more people will be jumping ship

Food was ordered at 9pm, it arrived at 10.25pm freezing cold despite phone calls to the shop. We have ordered from here many times. Yes we u set stand it can get busy but if they are unable to provide satisfactory standards they should decline the order in the first place. Really disappointed

Very friendly and quick service

Arrived before stated delivery time but unfortunately the food was only lukewarm. Tandoori “hot” pizza wasn’t very hot and quite bland. Cheesy chips were nice but again only just warm when they were delivered.

Fish and chips was very disappointing will not be going back, not nice at all

Requested no mushrooms and they placed mushrooms in wrap plus, the chips were cold. Place didn’t look very clean either

ordered mexican wrap and said no mushrooms, they had put mushrooms in and expected me to come back and collect another one. chips were terrible and also cold !

How is this place even still open!!!... 5 hours wait for a kebab and garlic bread. Turn up not worth eating. Mushrooms on the garlic bread were so out of date the kebab meat tasted months old. The salad HAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHA a cherry tomato and half an oinion not even chopped. The whole lot went in the bin. Foodhub is just as useless as this take away. Rated 1 star because I couldn't rate 0stars

Waited over an hour for collection, Parmesan was stale and not edible therefore went in the bin, chips overcooked, pizza actually tasted ok but had an awful stomach the next day. Definitely will not be ordering anything from here again!

We have eaten several different meals from here over the past couple of months and they all have been excellent! It’s easy to order online, but we don’t wait for the online app to tell us when the food is ready (we would still be waiting!) we just give it 15 minutes and go pick up the food. Friendly folks and fast service.

I had decided to order a simple cheeseburger and chips with curry sauce, nothing could go wrong I thought whilst waiting indoors. A group of youths walked past and told me how horrendous the food was in here, had I wished I had listened. Someone was throwing up violently two doors away screaming don’t get an omelette. Concerns at this stage were starting to rise however this was a gamble I was willing to take, it was late and I couldn’t be bothered to cook. My burger I believe was done in the microwave, it was either that or grilled under the lightbulb out the back. Imagine chewing on a damp sponge, even worse they forgot the cheese and curry sauce then started offering me out calling me a liar, I just put it on the side and walked out I couldn’t believe someone was wanting to fight me over some cheese and curry sauce. I’m convinced the delivery driver farted inside also cos he looked at me and started laughing after a horrendous smell lingered. As I walked out the door the fella behind the till stormed out the door and tried to chase me and fell over in the street, and then even worse tried to blame me and said it was my fault, not the type of guy you’d let cook a burger for you either. Thankfully the residents calmed him down in the street but then they all started fighting each other, a burger and chips had turned into a mass brawl. I had seen enough and just decided to go home Hadn’t felt well for a few days after this so went to the GP, turns out I’ve got a hideous case of Influenza where from I don’t know but i think it’s from here. A night to definitely remember, however keep your order simple and just think twice.

Jumbo sausages were burnt at the ends chips were cold curry was just half a tub and cold worse food I every chips looked like there been stood hours and not just cooked never go again

Ordered a food deal last Saturday and never received half of the order, called the restaurant and left messages and also left email but still no answer not good hen you pay but get no food.

Absolute joke of a place can't even answer a phone been waiting 2+ hours and still no sign never order here again and all make sure a tell everyone how absolutely rubbish yous are as well messers

Not great.... waited out side as expected, but then got moved off the pavement by the delivery driver ...at least I assume that's what she was. Chips tasted warmed and were like leather.

Best chicken Kababs in the area, chips are real too so you get the best of both. We use this take away all the time, keep up the good work.

I’ve put one staff because there is not an option to give no stars I ordered chips and garlic sauce and two tubs of coleslaw when it arrived all I got was two tubs of coleslaw and it tasted like it had gone off and later that evening I was throwing up never ordering from there again they say the coleslaw is freshly made I’ve had freshly made coleslaw before and it tasted absolutely nothing like that

Your mushroom parmasans are absolutely gorgeous chips hard crispy next time I order from here I would like my chips freshly cooked thanyou

Got 4 pizzas and 2 chips took over an hour and a half to come and was cold when it came ruined our Friday night takeaway n movie routine, I've had quite a few from here but wont be going back if they cant even deliver there product in heat bags.

Really let the standard drop since the last time I visited a couple of years ago. Sad. Not recommended.

Slow to arrive, cold when arrived. Chicken wrap was over cooked.... Or recooked? Something sticky in it to hide the fact it was old pre heated chicken. Was awful! The fish was smelly.... And soggy. No nice taste.... Over all the worst take out I've ever experienced. Just nothing nice to say about it.

Impossible to judge the quality of the food as it just didn't arrive Two call to the shop an hour and a half apart said food out for delivery. . Cancelled after waiting 3 hours.

I ordered from here as my previous order last month was excellent. It's a shame they don't provide consistent service! I ordered my food at 18:02. Still hadn't been delivered by 20:02 so tried to contact the takeaway. All I got was an automated voice stating 'this mailbox is full'! Contacted FoodHub who run their website and was told the order was on its way and that the problem was cause by an internet outage. Food finally showed up at 21:30. No apology from the driver! The food was inedible! Chips burnt and soggy. Tuna pizza that was cold and I struggled to find the Tuna! The whole meal went in the bin! All the takeaway could offer was a 10% discount! What a disgrace! This takeaway fails on customer service! No one minds a delayed order if the customer service is excellent! A phone call to explain any delays with the option to cancel would be excellent service however this didn't happen! Blaming the poor service on an internet outage is also unacceptable! All IT systems should have built in redeundancy so that in the event of a piece of equipment failing there is a working alternative until the equipment can be repaired! If there was a minus 5 star option then that is what this takeaway would be getting based on this evenings extremely poor performance!

Why do ALL delivery drivers ignore the instruction to ring my doorbell? I am hard of hearing & knocking is not heard. There is no point in Just Eat's notes for drivers if they are constantly ignored.

Last few time we have been here the food has turned up early. All of it was cooked lovely couldn't fault it at all.

never disappointed from here. whether it is parmos or wraps we are always more than happy. food is amazing, cooked perfectly and very rarely takes as long as the expected delivery time. my go to takeaway!!

Huge portions and lovely driver!

Definitely worth a visit, food arrived slightly early, it was piping hot and tasted delicious.

The food arrived on time and the delivery driver was very friendly and nice. Unfortunately the fish was greasy, batter was far too thick and it was cold. Chips were also cold and looked as if they had been reheated a couple of times. In a large portion of chips there were very few actual normal size chips, it was mainly made up of very small pieces that were rock hard. I am not one to complain but it was so bad that most of it went in the bin. I definitely would not order from here again I am sorry to say.

Lovely food, larger portions than expected I would order from here again but was a bit disappointed that it was 30 minutes late as kids were hungry. Also delivery man put everything on the floor when I have a bench next to my front door and was looking as though I should’ve been giving him a tip. I do usually tip delivery drivers but not if they’re more than 10 minutes late. Cannot fault the food though it was delicious.

Have enjoyed many lovely pizzas and kebabs in past so decided to try here for our Good Friday Cod & Chips. Totally appreciate how busy it was but ordered at 4pm with estimate delivery 4.55 and it arrived at 8.15, over 3 hours late, and to be honest fish was really poor. Asked for one normal and 3 without batter, and got 2 without batter, one normal and a small normal accompanied by some fish nuggets. Feel let down for £30 order.

Food was 1 hour and 10 minutes late.

Delivery was supposed to be 90 mins however it took 4 hours. I asked for a refund and to cancel my order but was told i couldnt have a refund.

Ordered at 4pm, for 630pm delivery, arrived 730pm. Unable to contact takeaway by phone. Fish arrived cold and soggy, and the lid to the curry sauce had come off, spilling contents everywhere. Sorry, won't be back....

Over an hour late. I understand the pandemic however we preordered last night! When it arrived there was a small portion of chips when ordered a large.

Food absolutely swimming in gease chucked the lot in the bin. Couldn't get the food out the bag it was caked with that much thick grease. Never order from here again

So we ordered at 1737 our neighbors ordered at 1830 (in-laws) and they got there's at 1st and we ordered ours 1st and I said no cheese on the garlic bread but guest what I got cheese but to be fair the food was nice and if I didn't have a bad delivery time I may of give them 5 stars

Ordered our take away at approximately 4pm with the delivery time of 19:30pm, the takeaway arrived 5:30pm. Due to this we sent this back and asked for this to be brought at the delivery time requested, fresh. The delivery turned up at 8:15pm, chips presented as stale, with very little potato as if they where what was left in the fryer. The kebab meat was burnt, hard and dry. & the thin crust pizzas arrived as thick crust. Did not enjoy this at all, left uneaten with good money spent. Would not recommend.

Food that arrived wasn't as described on the menu, apparently they have a new owner that has changed the recipe of some products. Sent out a pizza to replace two meals that couldn't be eaten. Plain chicken is VERY spicy.

We ordered before the restaurant opened for delivery asap and it arrived 10 minutes before the time stated. Food is always delicious! My kids new favourite local pizza service.

Ordered this evening for the first time as recently moved to area. Takeaway arrived on time and everything was there. However the kebab meat it's self was uncooked/raw and literally pink. I have taken pictures of this to remind myself not to order from there again. Would not recommend at all

Food was outstanding... we use Heighington Takeaway often, last nights food was the best by far a++++ whoever worked last night can they please work every night. Awesome. Very happy returning customer.

Food used to be outstanding however the standard has dropped over the past few months. Only place we use and it's a shame that the standards have dropped.

Heard the shop had new owners so thought I would give them a chance as previous meals had been terrible over the last few years. Anyway it’s a big thumbs up as the meal was very tasty, the chips are much better.

Chips were dry and near stone cold, cold. Chicken was barely warm. Paid for a large chicken kebab and portion was tiny for the price!

I always order from here, the food is delicious, the staff are very polite and friendly and they deliver on time or early. Been everywhere else with nice results, but heighington are definitely the best!

Although delivery was later than anticipated, it was worth the wait, and as always we enjoyed our food, thank you.

New staff and new chefs means the food here is much better in 2019! Julia is lovely and cares about the food quality and the customers. Service is now faster. The Chip Shop has a LONG History of over 100 years serving the locals. New chefs makes amazingly fresh tasty pizzas and the Parmo's (double decker) are magnificent! Chicken and Donner Kebabs also much fresher than last time and very tasty. Discounts available too if you ask. Chip Shop and Takeaway is getting better and better, with tasty food and some specials available.

delivery was 15 minutes or so late but expected as was just before christmas. food was still hot, beautiful as always!
