Papa John's in Darlington

We placed an order @ Friday 10 May 2024, 22:43, order was accepted, then order tracker @ 11.30pm informed us our order had been cancelled. 12pm, no food, no email / further confirmation of our order been cancelled, who knows? will it come, won't it?? not a game I can spend playing on a Friday, after already waiting 50mins. Best wait for my refund and order elsewhere before everywhere else actually shuts. Very Disappointed...

Absolutley spot on ! Had a bbq chicken pizza , potato tots with 3 cheese , tandoori chicken bites & philli cheese steak papadia . Can’t fault it 😁

What has happened, Papa ? food is shocking now . How can you make a bad pizza ? It's very hard to do, but thank you for doing it base chesse and toppings a child could make it . I will not be back again after a few bites. It's rotten. Something tastes so bad . HONEST ITS THAT BAD . I loved your food before what has changed ? Will let you know if I get ill.. Thank you, Papa johns, for the worst pizza I gave ever had .

Stuffed crust with no cheese in crust, garden party with no peppers came with peppers half and half American hot and fajita chicken 4 bits of pepperoni 3 bits of chicken hardly any tomato or cheese Shocking

My partner ordered us a pizza over an hour ago, they have taken the money and have not updated the status of the order. I tried calling the restaurant 10 times, they won’t pick up. Honestly SHOCKING. REFUND YOUR CUSTOMERS or update them! Never got our food.

I got food poisoning symptoms after eating here last year, didn't review as can't prove it but response from management was disgusting. Other reviews have mentioned food poisoning and even workers boasting about not washing hands so wanted to add my experience so you can see it seems to be a pattern and probably not fake complaints. Used to love PJ before i lived in Darlington, now I'll never order again.

Delivery coming Late, food cold.Not recomended.

They sent the wrong pizza and when I called to complain they said accused me of lying and hung up on me. Worst pizza and customer service in town! Order at your peril!

I didn't get what I ordered, Pizza arrived with toppings missing and was Luke warm and squashed, the cheese that was on it was thin and patchy. I phoned the restaurant to ask for a replacement and was disrespectfully refused, the guy didn't care he told me I had to request a refund online if I wasn't happy with the food?? Like this is how you treat customers? Look guys my opinion is you avoid these rip off merchants at all costs, they charge a fortune and are poor quality.

Only ever tried here once and the pizza was fine and the in shop service was fine but if you want to order delivery by phone forget it. They tell you that you must download their app. No thanks.

It is a pretty decent takeaway pizza place & I have tried quite a few of the varieties that they have on their menu. Among them, I would rate the BBQ Meat Feast as the one that I liked the most. The others were ok & the service was quite on point in terms of time.

Gave a child and myself severe food poisoning hospitalising the child. They couldn’t care less offering a free drink the next time we go in. Avoid at all costs if you value your health.

Finding a decent takeaway is like finding a decent car mechanic; you trust them to do the job but never quite sure what you're going to get. This was by far the best takeaway pizza I've had in a long time. The customer service was excellent too. Outstanding.

Absolutely awful quality pizza, zero hygiene, have spoken to several workers and they openly boast about not washing their hands.

First time I've visited has we were from stockton but I was very impressed top pizzas 🍕 highly recommended 👌

Usually go to Dominos, been wondering for ages whether Papa Johns was worth a go. It wasn't. Possibly even pricier than Domino's (but not much in it) pizzas were exactly like those terrible cheap rubbery ones from standard little takeaway. Except twice as expensive of course. Ingredients were barely detectable, the cheese was flat and rubbery and my jaw started to ache after ploughing through the third slice. If I didn't live 15 minutes away I would have taken it back. Oh, in the interest of balance, the little marmite and cheese doughball kind of things were OK. Back to domino's for me that's for sure.

Absolute joke ordered 15 of 30 for home delivery, then when the email turned up it was for collection only.... No phone calls after a hour no food, rang and all I got was we rang you brother we rang ten times brother, very poor poor service... Never again!!!!! Stay clear!!!!! Brother is not how you talk to a customer!!!!!!

We made an error on the order with the sauces (of all things) and they wouldn’t let us pay for more and pay for delivery which I don’t understand. I then rang because they sent a pizza with the wrong type of pizza base and they refused to acknowledge it. Just because the order said original base doesn’t mean that what was sent was actually original base. It wasn’t. The man on the phone was extremely rude, and said ‘I’m not answering if you ring again, bye’ and hung up.

Delivery time is very quick. Food is always hot and excellent quality. Delivery staff are always so friendly. Would reccomend.

Unbelievable. 16 minutes from ordering to having it delivered to the door. Piping hot fresh pizza and sides. Must be a world record?

We decided on Papa Johns as normally the food is nice. We ordered 3 pizzas and 1 side (came to a few pence under £30) The pizzas arrived quickly but that was the only positive. We ordered a Hawaiian pizza but changed the pineapple for BBQ drizzle, turned up with no BBQ sauce on it. We wanted to double up on the dips and get garlic and herb instead of the freaky special garlic but the online system wouldn’t let us order unless we had a pizza sauce in the double up offer! The other 2 pizza’s hardly had any toppings on and cheese was only half way up the pizza, each slice had one of each topping at the most, some just had a bit of cheese and nothing else! jalapeño poppers were cold and 2 dips were missing. For £30 I would expect decent and correct food

lots of pizza fillings to chose from and the staff are on the ball to serve you what you want. fair prices and your tummy will be full with what you order

Pizza is just average, not worth those money. But special Garlic sauce is disgusting, worst I ever tried it should be called “margarine” sauce.

i know people have to have a break but a worker smokes outside then says to me what can i get you? er um er um i passed. i want clean food. sorry guys

This has become our first choice for takeaway pizzas, the service is excellent with deliveries usually within thirty minutes of ordering. Drivers are always polite and friendly. My only criticism would be they no longer do the Spicy Italian Pizza which was my favourite

Great pizza with friendly delivery

We don't have a local Papa John's that will deliver so I had my order delivered to work and then headed home with it. It stayed nice and hot through to when I got home, which is great.My wife and I enjoyed a large "all the meats" pizza with piri piri chicken bites. Was a very nice meal at a price that's slightly over the top.Still, a nice treat every now and then.

Papa Johns pizza are full of flavour with plenty of cheese and toppings. Delivery is always quick and pizzas are usuamly fresh and hot my favourite pizza in Darlington.

Las tres últimas veces que he estado, el nivel ha bajado significativamente. Nos recoge una orden, el colega abrió la caja, comprobamos la etiqueta y nos dio, llegamos a la casa y estaba completamente equivocada, pero la etiqueta fue correcta, cuando se quejaron que no lo creo, y nos dijeron que teníamos que esperar 45 minutos antes de que pueda ser recogido! Es la segunda vez y la tercera vez, siempre nos dan mitad y mitad, no estoy seguro de que está haciendo las coberturas pero que no están familiarizados de matemáticas, debe ser '2 tercios y un tercer pizza".Conseguir lo básico mal hace mucho, duda que volveremos! !

I got a pizza this week from here and it's the most disgusting pizza I have ever had ,for a start it was supposed to be a thin based pizza and it was no where near a thin base and topping was just sloppy mess in top not a very nice tasting base,won't be going there again.

Este lugar es increíble!Sopla las preferencias de Domino's Pizza Hut y salida del agua y el queso y tomate pizza es uno de los mejores que he probado.Siempre caliente, siempre fresco y sabroso.La única pega es que Pepperoni pizza de Papa John's no es un parche en Pepperoni la pasión de dominó.El chapuzón de mantequilla de ajo es muy agradable, pero algunos resulta un gusto adquiridos, siempre se puede pedir intercambio!

He tenido tres entregas desde Papa John's abrió en Darlington y tiempo de entrega ha sido menos de 30 minutos en todas las ocasiones. Creo que los comentarios de pizza a ser muy variado debido a mi preferencia personal, pero creo que la pizza de Papa John's muy agradable con un montón de ingredientes. Preferimos cada base delgada y algunas han sido bastante gruesos, pero esto no ha impedido me re- pidiendo.

Really looking forward to the opening of Papa John's in Darlington as I am a pizza lover and regular buy from Domino's and Pizza Hut, although as Domino's has stopped making my favourite pizza I am now just a Pizza Hut customer. The pizza from Papa John's was a large, 50-50 Pepperoni and Vegetarian which was surprisingly average, but what took me aback was the garlic dip that came with the pizza. It was very yellow and tasted like rancid butter! So I'm afraid a thumbs down for Papa John's and I've put the rest of my special offer vouchers in the bin as I will defo not be using them now. Very disappointed.
