Ordered takeaway whilst staying at Dovestone Lodges... food was delivered spot on time and was packed and presented really well! All dishes were excellent! Salt n Pepper Squid was top notch as was the kung po pork and all other dishes 😋 It's not cheap but it's really good 👌

Terrible ordered takeaway took money and then cancelled order left waiting days for refund and no food. Rang up to be told there was nothing they can do and it’s a problem With the system. Doesn’t give much hope for ordering again! BEWARE!

Our order arrived within the hour however was a disappointment considering it cost us £60 for 2! The food was luke warm and the salt and pepper squid was dreadful. ( a soggy mess) We also realised we had been sent the wrong sauce, after a quick call, we presumed considering we live 4 mins away in the next village it would be a quick resolution however 40mins later and still nothing arrived. We then called up to say don't bother bringing it as we had eaten the Chinese. They explained they would send the driver back with a refund for the missing item. We are still waiting.. We won't be a returning customer. Extremely disappointed.

Hot Duck is a gorgeous little restaurant. great food, service, and nice ambience. will definitely be back for more

We went to Hot Duck, which is their upstairs restaurant after having a takeaway via derliveroo which was pretty good. The restaurant has good atmosphere and decor. The food comes out when it's ready rather than in courses which is fine also. We had chilli beef, some ribs which were lovely however the jasmine rice was wet and not as good as I can make it at home, and I am not that good at making it. The problem was the service, despite the small restaurant size and having ample staff we had to flag them down, they are not attentive and seem to be avoiding you attention. It was funny because they were only attentive at clearing the table which they tried with some of the dishes we were half way through and even my wine. As I said the food was not bad and the atmosphere good, however we probably won't go back. Also prawn crackers should never be £5, they are not that price down south or even in central London.

We came to Hei Hei’s after a huge walk and starving. We originally ordered to takeout but were kindly given drinks vouchers and so ventured to the bar upstairs. As we were waiting the lovely staff asked us if we would like to eat in the restaurant instead. We explained we would love to but our dog was waiting in the car. Mani and the other manager then said it was no problem to bring our pooch in! They treated our pup to chicken and pork before bringing us a delicious feast! The atmosphere and music was relaxed and ambient and the food was fantastic. I can’t recommend this place enough for both service and food. Needless to say, we can’t wait to return :) Recommend: the best curry sauce I’ve ever had

First time try and will definitely be back, home made dumplings and they were incredible! Great service and great food!

Not great went to try this place for first time and loads items sold out on the menu think I’ll have give it miss.

I went here during the band contest last weekend and safe to say I was disappointed. I understand the streets were busy but there were only 2 other customers inside waiting to be served excluding myself. I ordered salt and pepper chips with a tub of curry sauce. For starters they weren't even 'chippy chips' and they were chips straight out the bag you buy is a supermarket!!!! Also, there was literally just a few strands of onion and even less peppers. Chips were over cooked and not edible at all. The curry sauce was extremely salty and not edible. Very disappointing.

First time ordering, and for us, never again. We had the salt & pepper chilli chicken, with egg fried rice, chips and curry sauce, our usual so we always have high expectations of this dish. However, there was just so much salt it ruined the meal, and we ended up throwing the majority of the meal away. Very underwhelming and waste of money.

Crispy chilli beef was unreal! Super crispy which is how we like it. Speedy service delivered to our door and all food was piping hot. Chow mein different to how Ive had it before but packed full of veg which was a nice extra!

Only recently discovered Hei Hei, had 4 takeaways now, each time a different dish, every single one has been delicious, tastes really fresh and light, no gloopy, greasy sauces. Absolutely spot on. Won't go anywhere else now even though it's a 6 mile trip for us

Just had our first takeaway from Hei Hei and have never had a better Chinese takeaway than this. Really tasty and generous portions.

Ordered my food and despite numerous phone calls and being told it will be any minute now 2 hours later I still don’t have my order. Terrible service. Avoid!

Impromptu take out on way home from a walk - glad we did. Absolutely delicious. So glad to see they are on Just Eat - definitely be ordering again. Thanks guys!

Lovely Food, top notch. I tried the Dim Sum tonight, Sui mai and Har Gow. Definitely worth the price, will be ordering again soon.

Had a tasty delivery via JustEat from Hei Hei last night, vegetables with cashew nuts and noodles and hubby had beef in black bean with steamed rice. Both very fresh and light, the veg and cashew could have done with a little more heat maybe but overall delicious!

Have been enjoying takeaways from Hei Hei's for a number of years. Tried the new Dim Sum menu today (steamed bao and dumplings) which were very good. Food always tasty, consistent and great portions sizes.

Worst food ever could not swallow a mouthful totally laced with salt a bit worried that what they where serving was kosher

Just don't order Chinese from here! simple as that. The worst food I have tasted in a long time. Not very often I order a takeaway so it was a treat. Total waste of money.

So very disappointed tonight...salt and pepper ribs just too fatty and could have been cooked a bit longer..chunks of white fat... horrid..Bin! Bao buns nice but the slice if duck meat was rock hard???

Popped in for a take away after a walk and have to say it was some of the best Chinese food I have had in ages. The char Sui was lovely and tender unlike 90% of take aways. Great value too, the portions were very generous. We will be back again

Too salty, the ribs and chicken were dry, even the dog sicked it back up again. Spent £70 and half the food went in the bin, disappointing.

The table up at the front door does not make sense. Too restrictive

SALT SALT SALT.......First time we've ordered! Won't be ordering again! Chicken in garlic and butter! No garlic, no butter just small chicken pieces in a batter so SALTY it was literally inedible. Same with the salt and pepper ribs. SALTY to the point of crystallisation! Nice rice though! Fillet steak is more like shoe leather.......STAY AWAY!!!

Not used for a very long time. Very easy ordering and delivery options. Food is back , on tonight's offer, to it's very best. Enjoy

Always found Hei Hei very hit and miss, and so quite often reluctant to order as they’re on the pricey side along with a £3 delivery charge (hence only 4 stars, not 5). However last night ordered a delivery and it was delicious, arrived early and hot! Salt and pepper ribs were amazing.

Ridiculous amount of salt on the salt and pepper ribs ! Had to throw them away Everything else was ok but had a few bad experiences now so going elsewhere for Chinese

I have been a vegetarian my whole life, ordered some vegetarian dishes alongside some vegetarian spring rolls, half way through the spring rolls we found they were filled with what I assume was duck. The restaurant apologised but blamed us for giving the wrong information over the phone. We in fact made the order online and had email confirmation of the correct order. Definitely won't be ordering from there again.

Most of the dishes on the menu are inedible

Eddy is the worst server in there. He doesn’t listen to what you’re asking for despite being a paying customer. He doesn’t even look up when you’re speaking to him. The food is hit and miss, sometimes good sometimes bad. The order from Remi is usually really good because she listens. Eddy could take a few notes from her. Don’t go in when it’s busy though because you’re food will be rushed and order will be wrong. Food not always cooked properly with cheap ingredients and if you have food allergies and speak to Eddy you’ll probably be poisoned.

In general the food is amazing....however the salt and pepper wings are so bland compared to what they used to be....not a one off either.

Took over 2 hours to get my order delivered with an estimated time of 45 minutes. When I called to check on the whereabouts of my order I was told it was cooked sat waiting for a driver twice. When it got here it was evident it had been sat there for an hour everything that was meant to be crispy was soggy and luke warm. We used to go here weekly but after a few dodgy visits not again

ALLERGY SUFFERERS BEWARE!!! We told them about daughter's egg allergy and at least 3 times discussed this with them. " No egg in anything please" we said. The guy at the desk did pass this on to the chefs, we heard him. 2 of the dishes we explicitly changed from egg noodles to vermicelli (no egg), But when we opened these dishes at home, they had stirred egg into them! Luckily we noticed before our daughter eat any of these, or it would have been A & E. This is not the first time we have had this problem here, but it is the last time we will eat there. It is up to you if you want to risk it.

Best Chinese take away in Oldham by far. Never a bad meal.

Poor everything too salty. My wife couldn't eat her crispy beef (tasteless and overcooked ). Absolute rip off . The only positive were the ribs.

Vegetable chow mein is delicious, with baby pak cho, mushroom, beansprouts, onions in a felicious sauce and noodles. Kind of homemade feel to it...

Best takeaway in Saddleworth. Top quality Chinese grub. Not your average Chinese chippy, these guys care about their ingredients. Always fresh, aways tasty.

Absolutely disgusted ! After waiting 1 hour 40 minutes the dishes where delivered with the rice missing and stone cold ( one was a prawn dish which I was afraid to stick in microwave to reheat ) I was charged £20.50 for 2 starters and 1 main and chips which going off online menu totalled £17.60 so obviously been charged for rice I ordered .. I phoned to complain and was told I did not order rice and they did not want to know not touched any of it returning it tomorrow as they are now not answering phone and want my money back

Me, my husband and my daughter had food poisoning for days after eating there. Took a week to fully recover for me and mt daughter to recover but my husband got admitted to hospital for 3 days with the same thing. Tests, drips, samples says it was the food we ate. BEWARE

Best Chinese Food in Saddleworth:

Dry, tasteless and fatty. We have just rang to complain and we have told we can have money off our next order but we will not be eating there again! Avoid!!! My husband took one of our meals back and demanded our money back and he was told that his boss who is not a chef cooked our meal!

Bought a Take-away from here 30.8.2015 with another 3 people in the group. I ordered strips of chicken strips in garlic and butter erm! sounds lovely. Had to wait a long time for the food to arrive, the staff really don't speak much look very miserable not a good start! Whilst waiting for our food my sister asked if they had a toilet she was told "in the back" on her way there she slipped and fell on the grease on the floor and gentleman who was waiting asked if she was ok not from the staff! She informed a guy behind the counter must have fell on deaf ears! nothing was said or done, disgusting I thought. When I arrived home I took my food out and omg It was not strips of chicken but dry battered lumps of chicken with onions bit of carrots absolute horrible, in the bin that went. This is not excitable you should get what you order going off the description on the menu. I will never ever go to this takeaway again nor will the rest of us. I cannot believe in a tourist attraction village there is not one nice place to get your take away supper........
