Incredibly dissapointing. Decided last min to go for a roast and popped here. The carvery veg was all soggy and bland, the gammon was incredibly salty and the beef was somehow both very rare and very tough! The serving station was dirty and all the utensils were just piled at the end. We came last year and the meat wasn't great but thought we'd give it another go. Certainly won't be coming back.

El gerente fue muy servicial. La comida era excelente y con una excelente relación calidad-precio. Todos comimos el asador y terminamos con pudín. ¡El helado casero de pistacho fue increíble! Definitivamente cenaría aquí de nuevo.

El carvary que tuvimos fue realmente decepcionante, el peor que he tenido, si soy honesto, y mis amigos dijeron que no había nada La carne era todos los cortes, los bordes laterales y los trozos grasos, todas las verduras estaban poco cocidas y duras como una roca, también la lager era plana y la sidra no era la mejor, en general, muy decepcionante, nos dijeron que nos sirviéramos con guantes puestos y, sin embargo, no había guantes, solo una caja vacía, incluso no, simplemente abrieron, estuvimos parados unos 20 minutos esperando para ser servido incluso no, éramos las únicas personas allí, este lugar debería llamarse INFIERNO, no cielo, también la señora mayor detrás de la barra fue muy, muy grosera y poco profesional, y de regreso a la cena, ni siquiera querría dárselo al perro ! ! !

Kids both working, wife didn't want to cook roast for only 2 of us but still wanted roast. Managed to squeeze us in ,as they always do, and it was good as usual. Lots of vegetables including my favourite cauliflower cheese and a great choice of meats, all for a tenner. Great food and staff.

Nada particularmente malo pero nada sorprendente. Muy buena elección de verduras, etc. pero desafortunadamente muchas de ellas necesitaban reposición y no era lo suficientemente caliente, tal vez llegamos en un mal momento. Nice venue and really excited by the menu. Went with a party and picked our food beforehand but unfortunately it did not all arrive at the same time. Veg came out 5 minutes after the mains as did serviettes and cutlery

The food was really nice. It came out quick and the staff were friendly. I'm not sure how many children pass through the doors but I thought there was a lack of options for children. There was no child specific menu. I couldn't even get a bit of marg/butter on a toasted bap for my 6 yr old son as it didn't promote healthiness. I was also told as part of this health promotion there was no salt. There was clearly salt pillars on every table. Coca cola was served and so was alcohol. Which I consider pretty hypocritical. I don't generally visit many places without my children and I would like to visit again because I thought the food was really good. Just lack of choices for the kids lets it down for me.

haven't been for a while but on arrival same friendly welcome and great food. 4 choices of roast meat with over 10 different types of vegetables and all trimmings. Meat is carved for you and they definitely do not skimp. all the vegetables are piping hot and you can take as much as plate will hold. Probably the best carvery for the price in Plymouth

Lovely service from Adam great beer garden but marquee takes away from it a bit. Prices higher than other pubs

We popped in with two of our children after work and had a really enjoyable meal. Adam was a great host. The food was very tasty, good portion sizes and amazing flavours. Very reasonably priced and well worth it!! Would definitely recommend. We will be returning.

Booked here for the first time for Fathers day lunch. The food was excellent with a choice of Pork, Beef or Turkey and plenty of vegetable options to choose from the carvery. The roast potatoes were very nice indeed! For vegetarians there were home made Yorkshire puddings and stuffing but you will have to ask for vegetarian gravy. The staff were very good and friendly and couldn't have done enough for us. My only complaint wad that the restaurant was very hot and stuffy and the staff were unable to open the sash windows. For a restaurant of this quality air conditioning would be a welcome addition. We will be going back though as the food is amazing!

Our first visit was for a Sunday carvery, of which we have had many in and around the Plymouth area. We were both delighted, although the restaurant was busy we never felt rushed and the food was fresh and hot of special note as a carnivore was the superb joints of meat and the pride the chef took in carving the joint to our preference. We were welcomed at the door by Adam and the girls who took the time to ensure we felt looked after.

Entramos en un restaurante silencioso, la música se puso por nuestra cuenta. Una taza grande de té 2 cada una, y un café con leche de tamaño normal 3. El signo de salida lado completo inglés 5. 95, el menú decía un desayuno de 5 artículos a un precio diferente y 1. 50 por 3 artículos más. Cuando salió el desayuno, estaba cubierto de hierbas. No nos quejamos en ese momento ya que la comida es comida. Pero no volveré de nuevo.

Después de una cálida bienvenida estábamos ansiosos por almorzar. Desafortunadamente, la comida fue tan decepcionante que no muchos de nosotros pudimos comer ni siquiera la mitad. Las papas eran anémicas y duras como las chirivías, la comida estaba fría y la salsa era insípida y acuosa. Había una buena cantidad de carne. Para 15 por cabeza era extremadamente caro para la calidad de la comida. Después de ver las buenas críticas no fue igual a lo que se presentó. Era el Día de la Madre, pero no demasiado ocupado, el personal y los clientes tienen que ir detrás de la parte de servicio, lo que no solo es un apretón, es peligroso. Mientras que en el taco tienes que moverte mucho. Uno o dos de los empleados eran lo suficientemente amables, algunos no lo eran. Las dos calificaciones fueron puramente para ese personal y no regresaremos, me temo. El servicio era deficiente, no nos ofrecieron más bebidas, preguntamos si la comida estaba bien y nos sentamos durante siglos esperando las primeras bebidas.

The carvery is the best I’ve had, so much veg and if your a meat lover you get a choice of various meats and he fills your plate. The staff is lovely. We have eaten here a few evenings also and the food is amazing, there is also gluten free meals.

Me and my partner decided to give this a try for a Sunday Carvery and we both glad we did. Everything from start to finish was excellent, nice selection of fresh vegetables and meat to choose from and they wasn’t to stingy like other places while dishing the meat out. Desserts was nice as well. Prices wasn’t bad either, compared to a lot of places we have been to

This is the best carvery in plymouth without question. Other menus are in Heavan also best in town. The food is served proffesionaly and tastes outstanding. The service I recieved and the manner in which I was approached was very proffesional and mannerable. The staff were very plesant and helpful. I will definatly be revisiting this Heaven Restaurant. Excellent dining experience. Thanks . See you soon.

This place gladly is in our my opion the best carvery in Plymouth, the head chef is very friendly but not overly, which was nice and the meats are all perfectly cooked the veg are all fresh, and taste of what they should do, not like some caverys that boil everything out of them till they taste bland, the beef we had was so tender it melted in our mouths, the food overall was great value and the service we had was great, we were met at door with a nice smiling face wishing us happy new year, so if your looking for a top notch meal I'd suggest trying heaven

The bar lady was very rude, bad atmosphere. Couldn’t of felt less welcome. I’d never return. Staff are key and here the staff are extremely sarcastic and rude.

my first time eating in Fuel today , didn't really know what to expect but the food was lush and so filling , I had beef and chicken ...and struggled to finish it , we will be returning , lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere :)

The details have been talked about for a short while but this week the local press has confirmed the owners announcement that the format, look and food is being changed to a healthy style and content in line with the off sale food business that has been up and running for some time. So far have only driven by and noticed that it’s no longer ‘Heaven’. Looking forward to giving the new version of this well established restaurant a go.

Beef was 'to die for', great choice of veg, crispy potatoes and baskets full of Yorkshire puddings! Staff attentive and friendly. Only one thing that we didn't like - too many tables crammed in next to each other.

Went today for lunch, the veg was cold and the meat tough, big portions though!! We went in November and it was first class

Went here last sun for the first time. £9.95 for the carvery so a bit dearer than most places. However choice of 4 meats, sausages and about 11 different veg. So for the choice def worth the money. Some of the veg was still a bit firm for my liking but that is just my preference. I like my veg quite soft. The main thing that could have been improved on was the gravy. It was very runny. Again prefer thick gravy othewise it doesnt add anything taste wise to your food. Will def go back

First of all wanted to say a huge thank you to Becky, Mehdi and all the staff working for this company who helped us make our wedding a reality! We are from Birmingham and last October got married in Cornwall! B.E.D catering also known as Heaven Restaurant was recommended by our wedding venue and we are SO glad we used them for our wedding catering suppliers! From the first initial conversation with Becky, to all the phone calls and emails back and forth for practically a year leading up to the big day, to the visit down to Plymouth for the food tasting to the big day itself, I could literally go on forever! Becky helped me over the course of a year organise what was a smooth and stress free wedding reception and delivered everything perfectly! Nothing was ever too much! They catered and tailored EVERYTHING to our needs including all special dietary requirements and running a bar alongside everything else! They had options for children’s courses, vegetarian and even helped organise a vegan menu right at the last minute! They came early and left later then I booked for which shows true dedication to customer service excellence they are trying to achieve! The food was amazing (my guests were and still are constantly talking about how amazing the food tasted and was presented.) Genuinely couldn’t have had a better day without Becky and the gang, she is a true asset to the company! Can certainly understand busy periods put restaurants and catering companies under pressure but no matter what Becky would get it sorted regardless and (I am an organised worrier but so happy I put my trust in Becky.) I would recommend and I am sure my 100 guests would also recommend using B.E.D catering for there wedding caterers as-well as recommend them for all the other services they helped with! On top of everything else they are lovely people! We wished we loved closer so can visit them more! Thank you!!! Dee & Jonathan :-)

We went to Heaven for this years Christmas night out,and we weren’t disappointed,

I was really pleased to find out that Heaven serves wonderfully nutritious and healthy food. I have used the Fuel catering service which gives you high protein/ low fat meals for those who are looking to eat healthy. You can take meals away or eat in, the dishes are very tasty and fresh. A great way to stay on track when you are keeping fit.

I eat here at least once a week, sometimes more if I manage to get the carvery in too. the fuel boxes (healthy food) served 3 x daily are great and good value. Cannot go wrong, never had a bad one.

Well a lovely roast had today was plenty enjoyed the surrounding would come back with my family and friends.

My uncle and auntie arranged a baby shower here the food is always amazing and staff are very helpful would go back here a million times over with mehdi & his team x

Recientemente fui a una recepción en el Nuevo Barton graneros organizada por Haven. Tengo que decir que no era bueno. Me llegó tan tarde, eran tan desorganizado. El bar no estaba totalmente equipada o personal muy de madera. Se sirvió comida a las mesas equivocadas....

4 de nosotros disfrutamos de un increíble asados los domingos. 4 opciones de carnes. Muchos vegetales de manera diferente con sabor a elegir. Sólo una pieza de opinión que es que hubiera estado bien que se han preguntado si estábamos disfrutando de nuestra comida (que nos! ), y si queríamos otro medio camino a través de la bebida. Gran relación calidad-precio para la comida, volveremos.

on a visit to family in this lovely city my cousin took me to eat at this gem. we subsequently ate there every day. I have even brought home my next 2 days meals boxed up. Clean,friendly and very healthy,this guys start up story is worth a read to, due to his daughters health issues. Prices here donot reflect the taste ! its amazing valuefor money and food heaven.....only downside....its to far from my home.

Friendly staff. Budweiser on tap. Had Sunday carvery. Good choice of fresh meats very well cooked and juicy. Was given way too much meat but I'm not complaining. Veg was tasty very well cooked and a great choice. Not like your normal carvery where it's all bland this really was tasty and worth more than what I paid. Will definitely recommend this and I'll definitely be going back to taste the menu

I had a carvery, choice of three meats and various veg including leeks and cauliflower cheese. The stuffing was a free for all as was the Yorkshires which is unusual but made my soul very happy. My plate was piled high and I ate every last bit. The only thing is the staff are beyond miserable, they look like they hate their lives let alone their jobs. Being neutral is easy but to be happy or rude takes effort and effort was put into being rude which was odd. The food was worth the miserable staff.

We used Flying B.E.D. Catering run by Mehdi and Becky out of Heaven Restaurant for our wedding in September 2016.My husband and I were extremely disappointed with the service that we received and the sheer number of issues encountered.Prior to the wedding we had been very happy in our dealings with them, and felt confident that they would meet our expectations for our special day. We went to considerable effort and expense to ensure our wedding day would be memorable for all the right reasons, and would run smoothly. Unfortunately the complete lack of organisation and care was detrimental to this. Issues ranged from lateness, to not enough wait staff, to meal service, to the food that was served. Overall it was disorganised and unprofessional.We sent a formal complaint in writing after our honeymoon for which we received no response until several phone calls and emails later. The customer service which followed was really poor, we received no apology and there was no admittance of any accountability. We were made out to be liars which as an honest person I found really upsetting. We were told that our expectations were too high, and that this was the first complaint they had ever received so did not know how to deal with it. After a couple of months of many more phone calls and emails we received £200. In hindsight I would have much rather have not had any refund and used a different company.

Fantastic healthy food served to 34 of us all piping hot, the staff were absolutely brilliant, they really did a fab job in serving us all so quickly and efficiently. I had the salmon for starters and it's one of the best starters I've ever had. We will most defiantly be returning

A very large party of us went here for our Christmas meal and I was really impressed with the food. Their vegan options were really nice, it was such a relief to have a 'proper' dessert rather than the usual fruit salad. The waitresses were so friendly and everyone said their food was delicious. Will definitely return and recommend

Came here with my family,we sat in the old dining room.We all went for a carvery which was delicious! The portions of meat were massive, the veg fresh and yorkshires tasty. Would recommend for couples and families! Good value for money we will be gong back. Best to book a table first

As a party of 6 we celebrated a birthday with the 3 course meal special in the evening, The menu options were simple in as much as we had starters consisting of a meat, fish, soup and vegetarian options, the mains were a choice of 4 meats, a fish and a vegetarian option.A narrow selection made it easier to choose one and the dishes on offer were refreshingly different. I had the belly pork starter and the Cajun chicken main and the quality of food we had compared favourably to food prepared by Michael Caines, (particularly the lamb rump).We had a three course meal for £20 a head (the deserts could barely be finished, but they were incredible). The atmosphere was great, service attentive and prompt and the food was brilliant. I'll be recommending this place to my workmates tomorrow and will suggest next year's Christmas bash is held here. As for the negatives on here, I didn't experience anything like the service mentioned. We had a great birthday celebration at Heaven.

This is a fantastic place to eat for anyone who is health conscious, monitoring carb or protein intake or following an eating plan, but do check opening times as we got caught out by it closing at 7.30pm on Monday evening.My first impression was that it was quiet, clean, nicely decorated and the young lady at the bar was helpful and welcoming. She explained that the menu is called 'fuel' which allows you to choose a 'protein' - meat, fish or a vegetarian option such as falafel or halloumi, choose the spices for it to be prepared with and then add a healthy carbohydrate, like brown rice, pasta, rice noodles, spicy spuds and a choice of vegetables. Everything on the menu has its protein, carb, fat and calorific values shown, so that informed nutritional choices can be made. The food was served quickly, presented very nicely and I was amazed at the value. I had fresh salmon, with chilli spice, yam wedges with a rocket, spinach and avocado salad for £5.00. I also tried some 'protein balls' which are interesting, they taste a bit like snickers bars or salted caramel, but don't contain refined sugar.I would certainly recommend visiting if you are a health conscious person or like to 'eat clean'.

Decided to try somewhere new and was more than pleasantly surprised. From walking in through the door to paying and leaving Staff were excellent.The Carvery was one of the best we have had in plymouth. Good choice of meats and lots of it, like wise the veg.Will we be going again?YES It was that good

Arrived late ish on a Sunday afternoon, its a busy place, we only had 2 meat choices for the carver as they had run out, the broccoli was rock hard and inedible, the meat was fatty, overall it felt like I was eating in a friends house who couldn't cook but we were too polite and said nothing and just paid and left, the chef was rude and couldn't care if we were there or not. Its a shame as we were looking forward to eating there but we won't be going back.

We arrived for Sunday carvery ordered drinks first half way through our meal still no drinks went to the bar and mentioned it and was told it would be done straight away. Finished our meal and still no drinks. While waiting a group off 16 arrived for a party to be told they were not booked in. We decided to go and pay and they over charged us £2. I suppose they need that to go towards lessons in customer skills for their staff. Food looked good but not to tasty.

Well I really can't understand some of the negative reviews on here! Some people think they are royalty but want to lay low prices! This is by FAR one of the best carveries you will get in Plymouth! The amount of meat you get is amazing, you actually have to tell the chef to stop cutting, unless like me you love a lot of meat. The vegetable choice is superb and the Yorkshire puddings are home made and delicious. The chef even said use 2 plates if you want to have more and not all on one plate! Where else do you get that offer? I will definitely be going back for a carvery, it's superb value for money! Thank you

Been here 3 times on a Sunday for a carvery and you do not leave hungry. Offering no less than 4 meats and God knows how many veg there is so much choice. The meat portions are huge, I'd much rather ask for less or take some home than look at my plate and be disappointed which I have never been disappointed here. Chef is friendly, staff are helpful, good all rounder

The carvery itself was great with a good variety of veg but this place was really let down by its service and slapdash attitude. When we arrived the server looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights, when we were seated it felt like an age before someone finally asked if we wanted a drink, there was no check back during our meal and no offer to top up/replenish our drinks. This could do so much better if they just dedicated servers to certain sections

Love this place. Pleasant decor, attentive staff and a feast of food available. I piled my plate with all the meats on offer (Turkey, pork, gammon, beef, and pork crackling) and then loaded up on roast potatoes and other delicious veg. Everything was great, the meat was tender and the specially requested gluten free gravy was tastey. Extremely good value, and if I lived in Plymouth I'd be there every Sunday!

Been here 4 or 5 times now. Every time has been excellent. The set menu is excellent value for money,homemade, really fresh and well prepared. House wine is a great choice and again, value for money.

Recently had a private function at heaven for an family event and was left very disppinted . The food that was catered for was okay but was brought out with a large time frame between each dish , means that everything was sat there for a while before it was open, the good was lovely though. Unfortunately the service was appalling ! The waitresses came across like they really didn't enjoy their job and would rather be else where, making guests feel uncomfortable and unwelcome by staring rudeness and arrogance. There was one waitress imperticular but didn't catch her name. Can now see why their only busy on Sundays

Visited here on 15/05/2016 for Sunday Carvery for four adults one child , we were the only people in the queue for the carvery and waited at leas 15 minutes before the Chef came out , completely ignored all of us , started to bring plates from under the heater and wiped them off repeatedly before asking my Grandaughter what she would like . As i am a Coeliac i am always aware and ask questions , i was assured the gravy was gluten free , dinner was warm , nothing was hot !!! , Within 10-15 minutes of eating dinner i needed the bathroom ........ extremely poorly all through the night including vomiting , Son in law put in as soon as i felt unwell , the chef assured the gravy was gluten free , but had never heard and did not know about cross contamination !!!!! , never again , Coeliac friendly ........... NO , very poorly after this family dinner

Having checked the menu on the internet and the reviews on tripadvisor my boyfriend & I booked for Friday 29th April. However I wish I'd read the poor reviews first!Our table was booked for 19:30, however we arrived a little earlier and that's where the disappointment started. We were not greeted upon arrival. So I headed to the bar where I notified a member of staff that I had made a reservation. She asked for my name, then shortly after asked how many it was for. To then realise we wasn't even booked in. We were then finger pointed to a table and was asked to go sit and someone would be over shortly. Ten minutes later our 'waitress' came over and asked what we wanted to drink. We didn't have any idea what was on offer - as there were no menus to be seen. So I went with a safe bet and asked what flavour ciders were available. Our answer was red or purple. My boyfriend and i just looked at each other with total embarrassment. I noticed the couple opposite us were drinking kopparberg - So we both just went with that.Our menu (a sheet of paper - covered in food) was then placed on the corner of the table fifteen minutes later. Not a great selection to choose from and I had to ask our waitress if this sheet of paper was a set menu as there was no prices to indicate the offer.We then placed our order with our waitresses - she didn't seem to know anything about the menu, every question we asked she disappeared to the bar and by the time she came back to our table she forgot the answer. There was no eye contact, she looked like she didn't want to be there. Regarding the food, it was okay. Took a while for each dish to arrive. Nothing to shout about. Portion size was average. My dessert came out stale. I took a mouthful and left it. Whilst my boyfriend politely tried to finish his, the waitress blamed it on a chef - whose day off it was. By this time, I just wanted to leave. I'm sorry to have to write this however I was so annoyed at the experience. Overall Heaven lacks the basic hospitality skills.. Smiling. Greeting. Providing assistance. Memory and listening skills and looking after their paying customers.

This was my first visit. The decor is okay but I was glad we didn't need to sit in the marque. The menu including the specials board was varied and there was a lot of choice. The service was good and attentive. The food however was really good, I went for three courses and all were really good. The portions are very good too. Overall, a very tasty meal and very good value.

We have visited 4 times now and have never been dissapointed. We are very good cooks ourselves so when we eat out we aren't satisfied with just average food. This place is far from your average resturant. The food is always fresh and hot, sourcing local ingredients. The carvery on a sunday is exceptional with usually 4-5 different meats available, lots of different veggies cooked fresh & the cauliflour cheese is the best! (Its the best carvery in plymouth) it is always busy so its best if you book a table in advance. We have been for evening meals also and have thoroughly enjoyed. Good choice of dishes. You can have 3 courses for around £17 so extremley good value the drinks are very reasonable also, a good bottle of wine costing around £13. The resturant is always clean, lovely atmosphere and pleasant staff. They are also doing healthy fuel meals which i want to try for after a gym visit! I cannot rate this resturant highly enough, you must try for yourself!! The sticky toffee pudding is amazing by the way!! :)

Came here on a Sunday afternoon about 3pm so didn't book ahead - but we probably should have as it was very busy! Which was a good sign really, because we had heard so many great reviews. They let us sit in the function room out the back which was set up for an event later in the evening .. The heaters were on so it wasn't cold, but we still felt a little bit like we were just stuffed in the overflow area to get more customers in.. So we came for the £8 carvery, & we were not disappointed! It was bleddy lovely. Potatoes were crispy, meat was soft, & they had unlimited pork crackling & Yorkshire puds - which would normally be a win, however the puds were all burnt & the crackling was like a bag of pork scratchings :| the veg was nice though.The girls that were working were nice enough, but there was one that was working who seemed in a right strop & it was noticeable, which isn't very professional or inviting! So overall it was a decent roast & I would probably go back to see what it's like in the evening there.

Had a carvery the food was cold. One of the bar staff was extremely rude. The toilets were dirty and the marquee area was disgusting.

Good choice of food friendly waitress and reasonable price. Had the two courses for £14 set menu, good portions I didn't expect, we were all happy. Food was well presented and really tasty, the appeal was the variety on the menu. Will visit again.

Had a table of 11 in the Private Dining room. Excellent food and service was very friendly. So good we have booked to go again in May !

My husband took me for the set 4 course meal on valentines night and the food was out of this world. well presented as always , friendly staff that are always on hand if you need anything and such reasonable prices . The set menu i think for 3 courses is just £17 and the food is top quality . id highly recommend

Unfortunately from the moment we walked in things started to go wrong, our table had been given to someone else, which was eventually sorted but not before witnessing some disagreements going on between the staff. The service was poor as we had been there over an hour and still only had our starter, when I was called to the carvery to pick my vegetables to go with my sea bass,finding that the plate had been in the oven not only was the plate so hot neither myself or the waitress could touch it the fish was over done, and trying to carry it back to my table was a challenge. We also witnessed a waitress rolling her cigarettes at a work station in the middle of tending tables. The family next to us also were unhappy with the service but stated you get what you pay for, I totally disagree you expect a certain standard at any restaurant but unfortunately the standard here was poor in all areas, it wasn't until we left that we realised we were over charged too, so as you can gather I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.

Went here with my family for after Xmas get together the staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was excellent we had a selection of meals and they were all very good also went here for a healthy lunch with my sister and her husband in February and was again was really impressed

My family went there for a Sunday Carvery and was not very impressed, the waitress was friendly enough but another thing with the cook/chef who seemed not interested, the food mediocre, will not return. Maybe better for a midweek lunch but who knows.

I was staying 2-3 miles away on 9 February and fortunately decided to drive out to find a restaurant. Came across Heaven by accident and called in. It was a very quiet night but the food and service were excellent. Would definitely return again if in the area.

I visited this restaurant with a group of friends as we had been planning a meal out for a while know and decided that we would give this restaurant a try. Originally we were supposed to be a party of 8 but 2 people dropped out so went down to 6. The staff were very helpful and understanding. Excellent service was provided considering it was a busy Saturday night and several large parties were also booked into the restaurant, Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a friendly informal meal for a great price, Will definatly be visiting again

We visited as a group of 3 & found the whole experience to be a delight. All of us enjoyed the food, one had lamb, one the rib eye and I had the vegetarian curry (brave statement but the best I've ever had). The service was extremely good and nothing was too much trouble. 10 out of 10 for Heaven Restaurant!

From the minute we arrived to when we left we were all made to feel welcome,even my four tear old grandson.The food was first class there were twelve of us we all had different meals and all said they were first class.I would go as far as to say this was one of the best meals I have tasted and I have eaten all around the world. Me and my friend didn't book but the Marquee part was opened. We were seated promptly and served drinks. We had the carvery. A choice of 3 meats and loads of different veggies and other roast accompliments. Very generous with the meat and food was of good quality. Very good value for money for £8 on a Sunday. A slight faff with paying but all good.

Went here on Tuesday 8 December for a staff Christmas meal.To start I had the five spiced pork with crackling, quite tasty! This was followed by monkfish with a few veggies wrapped in a veggie circle, all very nice although I personally thought the lovely fish was overcooked as it was quite chewy and dry. I have had monkfish several times so I do know the texture of the fish. I finished off with the sticky toffee pudding and even though I don't have a particularly sweet tooth, it was lovely. A bottle of Rose was £15, not bad I thought. Coffees were about £2.50. Very long time between courses but they were very busy and perhaps I'm a bit old fashioned expecting to wait only 10 to 15 minutes between courses. I wonder what the "norm" between courses is these days? All in all a nice evening with overall tasty food but don't expect big portions.

We booked Heaven for our staff Christmas party on Friday 27/11/2015. We had a private room to house all 23 of us and the staff were brilliant. Always making sure our drinks were topped up and serving the food promptly. We all opted for the Christmas set menu and the food was fantastic!! They even added an extra started for us. Well done to all the team at Heaven for making our Christmas party such a great success. We will be back.

What an amazing night we had for my daughters Hen night there 24 of us and we had our own private room the food was amazing as were the staff and such good value ! I have very high standards when it comes to quality, presentation and flavours and all I can say is WoW! Thank you Heaven once again for helping us make such happy memories

Four of us called in before leaving Plymouth for home in South Wales, we all had an excellent meal, with a good choice of meats and quite a variety of vegetables,the staff were very friendly and helpful, the only bugbear was a dreadful draught coming over the door and as we were all very cold before going in we were just about frozen coming out, we would go again but only in the summer ...

Have to say we've had many birthdays here and also their other restaurant they used to own called bed.the food was always outstanding,and the staff and owners was always happy to happy and help deal with our requests .The venue at heaven is an excellent choice for a party and canopies and food served has been excellent Well done to the owners and staff Steve & claire

Went to this restaurant with a group of six friends. Firstly, the location may seem strange for a restaurant but it works. Inside is very pleasant, with a couple of restaurant areas together with a bar and relaxation area. Decor is good and the staff very pleasant and welcoming. But the food was something else. We had three courses, each beautifully cooked and very very tasty. The price was very reasonable as well. Living in Plymouth, I have past this restaurant many times but not thought of going in. I now live in Cornwall and will certainly drive the hour to go again. What it lacks in a view is certainly made up with quality. Thank you.

Often have Sunday lunch here, you can choose from the menu (5 or so options for each course) or the carvery. Great selection of fresh vegetables and large portions. Family friendly and welcoming staff. Recommended.

First time at this restaurant but wont be the last. Food was really good and good portion sizes. Prices are really reasonable and the staff very friendly. This is a basic restaurant but nicely laid out. The location may not be great but easy to get too and plenty of close parking. All in all I'd highly recomend this place.

First time here and not disappointed. The food was superb. Great value for money. Pleasant surroundings and very friendly staff. Can see this being a popular venue for special occasions and parties. Freshly made food so obviously a small wait is required, however, the wait is most certainly worth it. Definitely coming back in the future.

We visited Heaven for the first time last Friday evening. I initially made the booking over the internet, but when i didn't hear from staff I telephoned to confirm.On the evening our party was 6 in number. The food was superb. The service could have been better but we muddled through.

Food is great, Medhi is a star and always wants to make sure that his guests are well catered for. Easy to get to, just a short walk from the Barbican, serves a good selection of wines, spirits and beers.Food is superb !!!

The carvery here is very good indeed with an exceptional choice of vegetables. The portions are huge and you won't leave disappointed or hungry. The only reason i have given 4 stars and not 5 is there were loads of noisy children underfoot. But once they left it was nice and quiet.

Came here for a meal on a Thursday evening and ordered the set menu. £17 for three courses! Amazing value for money. There is so much choice and even 2 extra specials for each course changed daily! I had the scallops to start, the fish for main and the pannacotta for dessert. The food was absolutely delicious! The starter was served with warm sun dried tomato bread and the main with a bowl of fresh vegetables. The portion sizes were generous! We were extremely satisfied! Our waitress (Becky) was fantastic! So friendly and attentive! We didn't feel rushed at all unlike other restaurants. There is free parking just outside the door after 6pm so no worry of having to pay! We would recommend anybody to try this restaurant and we are already planning our return!

We had our Xmas meal here last year. The service was good, food was tastey. Little expensive on the drink side. Overall nice place for a function

The waitress that served me was extremely rude and unhelpful her attitude was disgusting. On top of that my main wasn't very nice as it had been over cooked. On a positive note my dessert was delicious. I won't be coming back.

Went here - just the two of us - on evening of 18th August 2015 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was okay, bordering on average, certainly nothing like I had expected from reading other reviews on Tripadvisor. Husband had the Garlic Mushrooms and I had the Liver Parfait. Both generous portions and tasted fine. Then came our mains - oh dear. Hubby had the Glazed Chicken and I had the Haddock - both were overcooked and dry and I left most of mine. Desserts were okayish but I expect an Apple and Summer Berries Crumble to be a proper crumble, not something that has a sprinkling of crumble mixture on the top, and my husband's Caramel sauce was missing from his Chocolate & Orange Fondant (which didn't have any taste of orange). The waitress/server was very friendly and service was quick. However, overall, we were quite disappointed with the lacklustre food. Perhaps the usual chef was on his night off?
