Hawksmoor Air Street in City of London, Westminster

Birthday lunch for my son and I and we had a really lovely lunch. Susanna our waitress from Portugal was delightful and let’s not forget the Stunning Porter House we shared just YUM!!!!

Our food took quite a while to come out (around 1 hour 45m -2hr wait) however, our waiter David made all the difference. He came out with such an infectious smile and the most gorgeous personality. We couldn’t even be upset about the wait because he was just so lovely and accommodating. A real credit to the team!

Everything was good but not worth the money

Food was amazing. The staff outfits just bothered me. Some people were super casual. And for an expensive place, with beautiful interior, I just think the staff should be dressed smart? It doesn't really match the vibe?

We shared a big steak porterhouse which was lovely. Had creamed spinach, fries, mac and cheese as sides. Had the most amazing sticky toffee pudding ever for desert. Also had some ribs and steak pie thingy. All super. Would definitely visit again on our next visit to London. Prices were reasonable for this food I thought.

This was my second visit. We are from Atlanta, Ga. Based on my initial experience I made it a point to take my wife here for a leisurely and delicious lunch. We went soup to nuts under the direction and loving recommendations of our wonderful server, Faye. The atmosphere is better than any other steakhouse I've been to. and I've been to plenty of them. Be sure to ask for Faye. She will help you choose what is just right for you.

One of the best steaks i have ever eaten. A bit pricy but London quality always is. Great service, not rushed, and great atmosphere. Never felt over busy, but the place was packed.

What a fantastic meal! Started with bone marrow & onions, old spot belly ribs and langoustine scampi - all were delicious. Just look at that rib eye, beautiful cut and cooked for perfection! Beef dripping chips and macaroni cheese went great as sides. Will need to come back for their Sunday roast

Tonight we drank 1 liter of Lourdes water (£6.75) Crazy. Absurd prices!

This restaurant was recommended to us by the concierge at our hotel and was fantastic. It reminded me of a NY style steak restaurant. The food was excellent! As we were leaving, one of the managers engaged in conversation with us and ended up asking if we were celebrating anything. When we told him the trip was a ‘Birthday’ trip, he ended up bringing us all chocolate truffles with ‘Happy Birthday’ written on the plate. He really went out of his way to make our experience special.

A bit loud, but the staff did everything possible to find the most comfortable table

Been twice in one month and both times food was great. Lovely filet beef with fries and greens. And if you have any room left, I’d definitely recommend trying the sticky toffee pudding!

Went for lunch on Mothers Day and it was flawless as usual. I asked them if we could change the wine as the first bottle wasn’t really to our taste (entirely my fault when choosing) and the sommelier helped us choose another one, bringing us samples until we found one we really loved. It’s one of those classy Hawksmoor touches - you know they will handle requests like this with good grace. I didn’t catch the somm’s name but thank you from this fussy customer 🙏🙏 The food was outstanding as usual - almost goes without saying now for Hawksmoor.

It's a really delicious place, very close to the hotel we stayed in, Piccadilly Circus center, we ate meat, it was amazing, the waiters were friendly, the atmosphere was nice, there was a little too much noise, and that was due to the crowd... I recommend it

Acabo de cenar de vuelta en los siguientes asadores: Hawksmoor Airstreet, Smith & Wollensky, Cut at 45 , and 34 Mayfair. De todos estos, este fue el peor, pero también el más barato. Came in for a work lunch last Friday. The staff were incredibly helpful, polite and genuinely felt like they would do anything to ensure we had a great experience. Can't recommend enough. Thanks to the whole team.

Food was high quality and expansive menu. Good location near Picadilly. This is a global 13 outlet chain. It feels rather commercial.

Ordered the mixed grill to celebrate my birthday, only to be told that they didn't have some of the ingredients. It was a wednesday afternoon so I was surprised and disappointed. Two starters and two small drinks... £61 ouch!!! Too rich for our blood so it possibly did us a favour.

If you’re a tourist and don’t know the nuances of a good Sunday roast, then this is an acceptable place. If you’re a Sunday R connoisseur, then you’ll see through it quite quickly. Staff are great but the roast is max 3/5.

Hawksmoor serves good steak 🍽️. This particular branch is spacious, and very central. You walk in and go up the lift (or stairs, if you're into that) to the dining area. There are quite a few steak options to choose from, as well as a variety of sides 🤤. The bone marrow side is particularly nice! Salad portion is pretty small. Steak is lovely. They also have a bunch of cocktail selections 🍸. I think they go down quite nice with the steak. A bit of deviation from the standard red wine doesn't hurt. It's not excruciatingly expensive, but not cheap either. You get what you pay for. You can takeaway, if circumstances force you to, but only after you have "dined" your meal a bit i.e. taken at least one bite out of your food. Service is great, though when it's busy it can be hard to get attention. Overall, it's very nice for special occasions, family dine-out, or date night! Just check the menu beforehand and ensure it's within budget. ✨

I think it would be a good idea to make a reservation in advance. I ordered a Sunday roast, and the meat was good, the bread was delicious, and the fried potatoes were especially delicious. If you have a birthday, please let us know in advance when making a reservation and we will also prepare a birthday dessert.

Did not eat. Came in on a Friday late afternoon and it was only about 30% full. On our way to our table, a mouse was in the dining room. Despite the emptiness of the restaurant, we were seated RIGHT next to the bathroom. Both the bathroom adjacent seat and mouse were enough to convince us to not spend hundreds of dollars eating here.

The steak was amazing. I got the rib eye. The star of the show is the bone marrow gravy.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hawksmoor Air Street last night, and I can confidently say that it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The wine pairing was spot on, enhancing the flavours of the meal, and the cocktails were expertly crafted, balancing bold flavours with just the right amount of finesse. The bartenders truly know their craft. What really stood out, beyond the quality of the food and drink, was the impeccable service. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our experience a memorable one. They took the time to ensure that everything was to our liking and were more than happy to accommodate a request for a slightly more secluded table, making the evening even more enjoyable. This visit was a special occasion, and I sincerely appreciate the effort made by the team to ensure it was an unforgettable evening. I cannot recommend Hawksmoor Air Street highly enough. If you're looking for a top-tier steakhouse in London with impeccable service, incredible food, and a refined yet relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to go. After a long day of walking, we were starving and went to this beautiful restaurant. We had the Sunday Roast and ordered sides as the kids weren’t too hungry. Sunday Roast - the potatoes were amazing and the steak was good. The vegetables tasted super delicious and my toddler kept eating the carrots. Sides We had mac and cheese- it tasted expensive and did not taste like the unhealthy and cheap mac and cheese Atmosphere The atmosphere was amazing. Fully packed but we were very happy. Service Was on point. Even though the place was packed we had a designated server who served us the entire time here and it was very pleasant.

A delightful experience as always at the Hawksmoor, we always dine here when visiting London. The location, venue & Team are superb & the food sublime. I highly recommend the Chateaubriand, but everything I've eaten here is has always been top notch. Highly recommended.

Been here many times over the years, but this was awful. Turned up and put next to a table with a crowd drunk and loud. It’s fine I get it, it’s not Michelin star and steak. BUT when the waitress can’t hear us and we can’t hear ourselves maybe move us to another table. When I raised was told pick a quiet hawksmoor next time. Disgusting, I’ll never go back. The brand is not what it used to to be, save yourself the cost and pick somewhere better than this rubbish.

Food really good staff friendly food atmosphere

Had a booking for 14 people. Ridiculous rules about all having to have the same type of steak. Service was very slow. Over an hour before our pre ordered starters arrived. Another hour+ for our main course. Many of the steaks were chewy and full of gristle. We cancelled our dessert order. Very over priced for what you get. I will not be going there again

From start to finish an incredible meal, Wine was divine, steak was juicy, potted beef starter was out of this world, definitely regretting not getting dessert 🍪 Will certainly return, Pre theatre menu is incredible value for money. See you again soon ✌️

Very welcoming staff, happy to explain items and to have a brief conversation. The food is exquisite, and is presented well. The atmosphere is eclectic and seating options vary to suite. I visited alone but could well see the appeal of a pre theatre visit, or for other special occasions.

There are a lot of people and the food is delicious, but there are a lot of menu items that are not available in the evening... Even though I couldn't make a reservation, they treated me kindly and it was nice...! Cocktails were just ok

Fantastic steak and great atmosphere. Excellent service and amazing cocktails. Bit pricey but worth it for a special occasion. We bought a box of Rolos to take home and they were delicious.

Came to celebrate for my significant other’s birthday dinner. It all went downhill the minute we were sat down. Our waitress never came back to take the order for so long that in the end we had to stop someone else to take our order, and the food didn’t even come out until over an hour and 15 minutes later. We ordered scallops and mussels for starters which were nice, but the porterhouse 800g was a disaster. It was overcooked and very rough, as if we were chewing a chunk of rock. It was very dried out for a medium rare and so tough that we cannot chew. We jokingly said to each other that the only thing enjoyable about our mains was the chips since the steak was not edible. We told the waitress about the steak, but she insisted this is how it should be. I have been to many other steak places, including hawksmoor (which I enjoyed before hence I decided to come back), which never came out medium rare to be this tough and overcooked but we were completely ignored. A celebration experience completely ruined.

Really lovely. Came for Lunch on a Saturday and it was really relaxed and empty. Service are very friendly and attentive. We ordered a couple glasses of very nice wine, the Caesar Salad, 400g Sirloin, Bone Marrow add on, and sides of Garlic Mushrooms, Macaroni Cheese and the Bitter Leaf salad. We were too full for dessert, but this was the perfect amount of food for 2. Would look forward to coming back to try a Sunday Roast!

First time visit to a Hawksmoor restaurant . Dined with friends as part of a London trip and what a fabulous experience it was . The art deco surroundings were stunning and the staff extremely friendly . Had a great vibe , early evening bustle. Would thoroughly recommend

Visited on a Sunday to try their Sunday roast the restaurant was very busy and it's a big restaurant I would suggest booking in advance it's also very loud we were shown to a table in the loudest part of the restaurant we asked to be moved to a quieter part of the restaurant which they were very happy to do. They have a good selection on the normal menu. We did have starters and the roast which was all presented very well I like that fact the server asked if you prefer well done or rare for the beef it came with all the trimmings except for stuffing which we did order but they had run out. A nice selection of cocktails. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch yes it's a bit on the pricey side but worth it for a special occasion. We will go back.

Sunday lunch… everything was perfect! Roast beef all the trimmings and the desserts were perfect

I was slightly disappointed. Where we were sitting was very cold, a cold breeze from a door at the end of the restaurant. It was a full restaurant. For me there was no atmosphere it just was a very large room and very noisy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our chateaubriand was chewy. We didn’t complain as we didn’t want to wait for another one. The sides we chose were very good, mac&cheese, mushrooms and fries. Reasonable priced for London we thought.

Service was not good. Steak itself was nothing very special at all unfortunately for the HUGE cost. Vegetables with the roast were very bland and plain Jane. I won’t be returning as there are far better steak houses out there.

We had a lovely Sunday roast in a great atmosphere. Our server was perfect and generally the staff was so friendly. The portions are generous and the roast was delicious. Only downside is a slightly dry Yorkshire pudding but the perfect sticky toffee pudding at the end compensated for it.

The price reflects the quality of everything that is necessary for a good dining experience, including the service, the atmosphere and the food's quality. A lot of people are involved in ensuring a wonderful dining experience after all. I paid a grand total of £222 for 600g of fine steak, some wine and even two courses of dessert. I'm not into fine dining, but upon our food arriving, I wasn't worried about how much I would pay, that's how good the experience was. Highly recommended!

We attended for a celebration and our waitress was perfect: informative, friendly, funny and accommodating. I wish I remembered her name. The food was sublime. The Bloody Mary cocktail was the best I’ve ever had. The food is on the pricey side but it was worth it for the experience. They made an effort for the celebration, which made the night unforgettable. Thank you Hawksmoor for making our evening

The table we were seated at was not great next to the servers counter and there was quite a bit of noise as a result. Also the decor is quite disappointing compared to the other Hawksmoor locations.

Went for a Sunday roast and the vegetarian wellington Sunday roast - beef was good but slightly under for 'pink', so it was hard to chew at times. Flavour of the beef was excellent though. The sides were a bit bland unfortunately. Wellington - half of the Wellington was overly salty and basically inedible. The other half was tasty though! Service was friendly but the food took ~45 minutes to come out after ordering. UPDATE: We went back following an invitation from the manager. We had the Sunday roast and this time it was phenomenal - beef was perfectly cooked, all the sides were delicious, and the food came significantly faster. Very generous portion. It was one of the best roasts I've had. Service was lovely as always. Would recommend!

We were a party of 4, ordered our starters & mains. There was a mix up with the steaks we ordered, which wasn’t the best start to a very hungry me. However Alicia, the manager came over to resolve the issue. She handled herself professionally, apologised for the mix up, and assured us our food is on the way & being cooked as we spoke. She kindly came over again after we’d finished our meal to check everything was ok & apologised again, as we had to wait for our food. The food was delicious, steaks were cooked to perfection & we will definitely return! She was lovely & couldn’t have done more for us.

One of the best dining experiences I had in London!! We arrived a group of 8 people and everyone was very satisfied with the food and the service. We were served by lovely Alexandra who did above and beyond for one of us who was not happy with her steak, and tried her best so everyone will be pleased. The meat was delicious and the desserts were amazing. Had a great time, would love to come back again next time I visit London.

Wait time of over 40 minutes was unacceptable - particularly given the table next to us, who seemingly knew the staff, were being served courses much more quickly. £52 rib eye was a terrible cut and what you would expect to receive from an average pub, not Hawksmoor.

Wow what a night. Was an incredible meal start to finish. Everything was cooked beautifully. Starters were fantastic the Vietnamese oysters with pork belly which was fall apart tender. The main event was a great cut of rib-eye which was cooked superbly. Overall service was fantastic and just a wonderful evening. Would certainly recommend.

My eldest son and I have had a celebratory drink and dinner there for a number of years now and this was his 40th birthday. Really sad, the food and service were as good as all the previous times we had been before. That is until the staff decided to have a little gathering at the bar and ignore us and the handful of tables left, that were still eating. As a result 20mins or so after we had ordered our after dinner drinks, they turned up and I informed them it was too late. Usually customers are treated respectfully and acknowledged on arrival and departure. This time just ignored and the "manager" looked at us with an unambiguous expression of disdain after we paid our £340 bill with service charge. Just thought, even a friendly wave goodbye if she didn't want to move from the bar would have been something. Never again. Any recommendations for quality steak with matching service and courtesy, gratefully received. X

Best bone marrow I've ever eaten.

Had a lovely evening however, I'm a celiac and was gaslit into thinking I wasn't poisoned by gluten. I ended up having a severe allergic reaction with the manager Joseph O leary commenting "it's just hot in here" and I quote, verbatim "I get like that too" when I had to question everything we were severed because everytime something came out I had to double check on account of the lack of knowledge surrounding the allergy. We paid full price and when assured I was fine (even though my face went purple and my breathing became laboured) they denied anything cross contaminating my dish... yet they took a single round of drinks off the bill. Worst part of the entire affair... it was my birthday meal. If you cannot cater, just don't.

The service is outstanding. The steak was ok, but the rest of the food (crab toast, monkfish, tiramisu, chocolate tart, prawn cocktail) and drinks were superb. 100% recommend.

Great Sunday Roast. The food was excellent. Seated for our reservation promptly and staff was very good. The dining room was a bit loud to have a discussion…. More of a “buzzy” feeling than a traditional pub.

We enjoyed the express set menu, three courses for £35. Each course was well presented, substantial, ingredient focused, and delicious. The wine list, offered by the glass, included a range of wines from around the world. It was our first night in London and our wedding Anniversary, a lovely treat was a box of house made Tributes chocolates. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowlegeable about the food and wine. The tables and seating were comfortable and allowed space between guests that was comfortable for dining

Finding out this was our 23rd visit to Air Street was a surprising start to our evening . Wonder what we’ll get for our 25th 🤔? The restaurant got very busy, which gave it a great ambiance, but did hit food delivery a little. We took a while to settle on the best option for the three of us. Assad was very patient and helpful while we settled on the steaks. The food was good as usual. Our niece really loved the Mackerel Salad. And I personally hope the Langoustine Scampi never leaves the menu. Still a great place to go, even if the wallet takes a bigger hit.

A very busy restaurant, but we were seated in a booth which has the bonus of not being in the middle of the room. Staff were very good, and the food was excellent as it usually is. Scallops and steak tartar followed by chateaubriand for two with spinach and a baked sweet potato left us full and not wanting pudding. The peppercorn sauce was delicious so don't miss that off the order!
