Hawksmoor serves good steak 🍽️. This particular branch is spacious, and very central. You walk in and go up the lift (or stairs, if you're into that) to the dining area. There are quite a few steak options to choose from, as well as a variety of sides 🤤. The bone marrow side is particularly nice! Salad portion is pretty small. Steak is lovely. They also have a bunch of cocktail selections 🍸. I think they go down quite nice with the steak. A bit of deviation from the standard red wine doesn't hurt. It's not excruciatingly expensive, but not cheap either. You get what you pay for. You can takeaway, if circumstances force you to, but only after you have "dined" your meal a bit i.e. taken at least one bite out of your food. Service is great, though when it's busy it can be hard to get attention. Overall, it's very nice for special occasions, family dine-out, or date night! Just check the menu beforehand and ensure it's within budget. ✨

I think it would be better to make a reservation in advance. I ordered Sunday Roast, and the meat was good, the bread was delicious, and the fried potatoes were especially delicious. If it's your birthday, if you tell them in advance when you make the reservation, they'll prepare a birthday dessert.

The steak was amazing. I got the rib eye. The star of the show is the bone marrow gravy.

Did not eat. Came in on a Friday late afternoon and it was only about 30% full. On our way to our table, a mouse was in the dining room. Despite the emptiness of the restaurant, we were seated RIGHT next to the bathroom. Both the bathroom adjacent seat and mouse were enough to convince us to not spend hundreds of dollars eating here.

I had the pleasure of dining at Hawksmoor Air Street last night, and I can confidently say that it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect, striking the ideal balance between being welcoming and giving us the space to enjoy our evening. The food was exceptional. The medium rare Chateaubriand was cooked to absolute perfection—tender, rich in flavour, and seared beautifully on the outside. Every bite melted in the mouth, reaffirming why Hawksmoor is regarded as one of the best steakhouses in London. The accompanying sides were just as impressive—from the indulgent potato mash to the creamed spinach and the perfectly seasoned bone marrow gravy, each dish complemented the steak flawlessly. The drinks selection was equally fantastic. The wine pairing was spot on, enhancing the flavours of the meal, and the cocktails were expertly crafted, balancing bold flavours with just the right amount of finesse. The bartenders truly know their craft. What really stood out, beyond the quality of the food and drink, was the impeccable service. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our experience a memorable one. They took the time to ensure that everything was to our liking and were more than happy to accommodate a request for a slightly more secluded table, making the evening even more enjoyable. This visit was a special occasion, and I sincerely appreciate the effort made by the team to ensure it was an unforgettable evening. I cannot recommend Hawksmoor Air Street highly enough. If you're looking for a top-tier steakhouse in London with impeccable service, incredible food, and a refined yet relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to go. A huge thank you to Alicia and the entire team—I will most certainly be returning!

Just a fantastic night....can't say any more.

After a long day of walking, we were starving and went to this beautiful restaurant. We had the Sunday Roast and ordered sides as the kids weren’t too hungry. Sunday Roast - the potatoes were amazing and the steak was good. The vegetables tasted super delicious and my toddler kept eating the carrots. Sides We had mac and cheese- it tasted expensive and did not taste like the unhealthy and cheap mac and cheese Atmosphere The atmosphere was amazing. Fully packed but we were very happy. Service Was on point. Even though the place was packed we had a designated server who served us the entire time here and it was very pleasant.

Been here many times over the years, but this was awful. Turned up and put next to a table with a crowd drunk and loud. It’s fine I get it, it’s not Michelin star and steak. BUT when the waitress can’t hear us and we can’t hear ourselves maybe move us to another table. When I raised was told pick a quiet hawksmoor next time. Disgusting, I’ll never go back. The brand is not what it used to to be, save yourself the cost and pick somewhere better than this rubbish.

Food really good staff friendly food atmosphere

Had a booking for 14 people. Ridiculous rules about all having to have the same type of steak. Service was very slow. Over an hour before our pre ordered starters arrived. Another hour+ for our main course. Many of the steaks were chewy and full of gristle. We cancelled our dessert order. Very over priced for what you get. I will not be going there again

Beautiful place, but the cheeseburger didn't even remotely satisfy me!

From start to finish an incredible meal, Wine was divine, steak was juicy, potted beef starter was out of this world, definitely regretting not getting dessert 🍪 Will certainly return, Pre theatre menu is incredible value for money. See you again soon ✌️

Very welcoming staff, happy to explain items and to have a brief conversation. The food is exquisite, and is presented well. The atmosphere is eclectic and seating options vary to suite. I visited alone but could well see the appeal of a pre theatre visit, or for other special occasions.

There are a lot of people and the food is delicious, but there are a lot of menu items that are not available in the evening... Even though I couldn't make a reservation, they treated me kindly and it was nice...! Cocktails were just ok

Excellent value lunch. Air street, with it's art deco style, has to be the most attractive of Hawksmoor London restaurants.

Came to celebrate for my significant other’s birthday dinner. It all went downhill the minute we were sat down. Our waitress never came back to take the order for so long that in the end we had to stop someone else to take our order, and the food didn’t even come out until over an hour and 15 minutes later. We ordered scallops and mussels for starters which were nice, but the porterhouse 800g was a disaster. It was overcooked and very rough, as if we were chewing a chunk of rock. It was very dried out for a medium rare and so tough that we cannot chew. We jokingly said to each other that the only thing enjoyable about our mains was the chips since the steak was not edible. We told the waitress about the steak, but she insisted this is how it should be. I have been to many other steak places, including hawksmoor (which I enjoyed before hence I decided to come back), which never came out medium rare to be this tough and overcooked but we were completely ignored. A celebration experience completely ruined.

Really lovely. Came for Lunch on a Saturday and it was really relaxed and empty. Service are very friendly and attentive. We ordered a couple glasses of very nice wine, the Caesar Salad, 400g Sirloin, Bone Marrow add on, and sides of Garlic Mushrooms, Macaroni Cheese and the Bitter Leaf salad. We were too full for dessert, but this was the perfect amount of food for 2. Would look forward to coming back to try a Sunday Roast!

Beautiful food with an amazing service

Visited on a Sunday to try their Sunday roast the restaurant was very busy and it's a big restaurant I would suggest booking in advance it's also very loud we were shown to a table in the loudest part of the restaurant we asked to be moved to a quieter part of the restaurant which they were very happy to do. They have a good selection on the normal menu. We did have starters and the roast which was all presented very well I like that fact the server asked if you prefer well done or rare for the beef it came with all the trimmings except for stuffing which we did order but they had run out. A nice selection of cocktails. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch yes it's a bit on the pricey side but worth it for a special occasion. We will go back.

First time visit to a Hawksmoor restaurant . Dined with friends as part of a London trip and what a fabulous experience it was . The art deco surroundings were stunning and the staff extremely friendly . Had a great vibe , early evening bustle. Would thoroughly recommend

Service was not good. Steak itself was nothing very special at all unfortunately for the HUGE cost. Vegetables with the roast were very bland and plain Jane. I won’t be returning as there are far better steak houses out there.

I was slightly disappointed. Where we were sitting was very cold, a cold breeze from a door at the end of the restaurant. It was a full restaurant. For me there was no atmosphere it just was a very large room and very noisy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our chateaubriand was chewy. We didn’t complain as we didn’t want to wait for another one. The sides we chose were very good, mac&cheese, mushrooms and fries. Reasonable priced for London we thought.

We had a lovely Sunday roast in a great atmosphere. Our server was perfect and generally the staff was so friendly. The portions are generous and the roast was delicious. Only downside is a slightly dry Yorkshire pudding but the perfect sticky toffee pudding at the end compensated for it.

The price reflects the quality of everything that is necessary for a good dining experience, including the service, the atmosphere and the food's quality. A lot of people are involved in ensuring a wonderful dining experience after all. I paid a grand total of £222 for 600g of fine steak, some wine and even two courses of dessert. I'm not into fine dining, but upon our food arriving, I wasn't worried about how much I would pay, that's how good the experience was. Highly recommended!

Great steakhouse bit it’s just not a great value for money It’s pricey to a point you think of all the alternatives in the city and I wouldn’t send there anyone

The table we were seated at was not great next to the servers counter and there was quite a bit of noise as a result. Also the decor is quite disappointing compared to the other Hawksmoor locations.

We attended for a celebration and our waitress was perfect: informative, friendly, funny and accommodating. I wish I remembered her name. The food was sublime. The Bloody Mary cocktail was the best I’ve ever had. The food is on the pricey side but it was worth it for the experience. They made an effort for the celebration, which made the night unforgettable. Thank you Hawksmoor for making our evening

Went for a Sunday roast and the vegetarian wellington Sunday roast - beef was good but slightly under for 'pink', so it was hard to chew at times. Flavour of the beef was excellent though. The sides were a bit bland unfortunately. Wellington - half of the Wellington was overly salty and basically inedible. The other half was tasty though! Service was friendly but the food took ~45 minutes to come out after ordering. UPDATE: We went back following an invitation from the manager. We had the Sunday roast and this time it was phenomenal - beef was perfectly cooked, all the sides were delicious, and the food came significantly faster. Very generous portion. It was one of the best roasts I've had. Service was lovely as always. Would recommend!

Wait time of over 40 minutes was unacceptable - particularly given the table next to us, who seemingly knew the staff, were being served courses much more quickly. £52 rib eye was a terrible cut and what you would expect to receive from an average pub, not Hawksmoor.

Wow what a night. Was an incredible meal start to finish. Everything was cooked beautifully. Starters were fantastic the Vietnamese oysters with pork belly which was fall apart tender. The main event was a great cut of rib-eye which was cooked superbly. Overall service was fantastic and just a wonderful evening. Would certainly recommend.

My eldest son and I have had a celebratory drink and dinner there for a number of years now and this was his 40th birthday. Really sad, the food and service were as good as all the previous times we had been before. That is until the staff decided to have a little gathering at the bar and ignore us and the handful of tables left, that were still eating. As a result 20mins or so after we had ordered our after dinner drinks, they turned up and I informed them it was too late. Usually customers are treated respectfully and acknowledged on arrival and departure. This time just ignored and the "manager" looked at us with an unambiguous expression of disdain after we paid our £340 bill with service charge. Just thought, even a friendly wave goodbye if she didn't want to move from the bar would have been something. Never again. Any recommendations for quality steak with matching service and courtesy, gratefully received. X

We were a party of 4, ordered our starters & mains. There was a mix up with the steaks we ordered, which wasn’t the best start to a very hungry me. However Alicia, the manager came over to resolve the issue. She handled herself professionally, apologised for the mix up, and assured us our food is on the way & being cooked as we spoke. She kindly came over again after we’d finished our meal to check everything was ok & apologised again, as we had to wait for our food. The food was delicious, steaks were cooked to perfection & we will definitely return! She was lovely & couldn’t have done more for us.

One of the best dining experiences I had in London!! We arrived a group of 8 people and everyone was very satisfied with the food and the service. We were served by lovely Alexandra who did above and beyond for one of us who was not happy with her steak, and tried her best so everyone will be pleased. The meat was delicious and the desserts were amazing. Had a great time, would love to come back again next time I visit London.

Had a lovely evening however, I'm a celiac and was gaslit into thinking I wasn't poisoned by gluten. I ended up having a severe allergic reaction with the manager Joseph O leary commenting "it's just hot in here" and I quote, verbatim "I get like that too" when I had to question everything we were severed because everytime something came out I had to double check on account of the lack of knowledge surrounding the allergy. We paid full price and when assured I was fine (even though my face went purple and my breathing became laboured) they denied anything cross contaminating my dish... yet they took a single round of drinks off the bill. Worst part of the entire affair... it was my birthday meal. If you cannot cater, just don't.

Great Sunday Roast. The food was excellent. Seated for our reservation promptly and staff was very good. The dining room was a bit loud to have a discussion…. More of a “buzzy” feeling than a traditional pub.

A very busy restaurant, but we were seated in a booth which has the bonus of not being in the middle of the room. Staff were very good, and the food was excellent as it usually is. Scallops and steak tartar followed by chateaubriand for two with spinach and a baked sweet potato left us full and not wanting pudding. The peppercorn sauce was delicious so don't miss that off the order!

Finding out this was our 23rd visit to Air Street was a surprising start to our evening . Wonder what we’ll get for our 25th 🤔? The restaurant got very busy, which gave it a great ambiance, but did hit food delivery a little. We took a while to settle on the best option for the three of us. Assad was very patient and helpful while we settled on the steaks. The food was good as usual. Our niece really loved the Mackerel Salad. And I personally hope the Langoustine Scampi never leaves the menu. Still a great place to go, even if the wallet takes a bigger hit.

A very large restaurant with around 200 covers. Very busy indeed. It is impossible to distinguish the staff from the diners as they are not wearing any uniform or anything that may identify them as staff. That confuses when one wants to order. The restaurant is very clean. We ordered, for starters, the Mackerel with potato. It was extremely salty, I left most of it. My wife ordered Potted beef. It was also very salty. She left 80% of it. Pawł, the waiter, was informed about this issue and kindly removed the dishes from the bill later. We ordered Zinfandel wine and Syrah wine, they were ok. For the main dish, I had Hake fish and vegetables, macaroni cheese. This dish has 5 different cheeses. I found it very hard to taste these flavours. My wife had for main course steak and chips. The steak was fine but uninspired. It was very odd that no sauce for the steak was not provided; the waiter did not ask if my wife wanted any! Also, we had to request ketchup for the chips. None was offered. In general, the service is good, the Restaurant has a nice vibe, and the decor is nice, but the flavours were just not there. Kat, one of the managers, did come to speak with us and apologised regarding the saltiness of some of the dishes. She also followed up with a very professional email. We shall try the Restaurant again, and hopefully, it will receive a Very Good review rather than an Average.

We had made a booking for lunch and arrived 5 minutes early then needed to wait 10 minutes for the table. Normally this wood be a very good sign but not so much this time. The starter took 25 minutes to arrive and then the mains came in a timely fashion. The steak was cooked well exactly as ordered but the meat quality was poor. The wine list was not great and the staff worked well as the restaurant was very busy. Not the worst meal I have had in London but not planning to return.

We enjoyed the express set menu, three courses for £35. Each course was well presented, substantial, ingredient focused, and delicious. The wine list, offered by the glass, included a range of wines from around the world. It was our first night in London and our wedding Anniversary, a lovely treat was a box of house made Tributes chocolates. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowlegeable about the food and wine. The tables and seating were comfortable and allowed space between guests that was comfortable for dining

The food and drinks as always were great, and the building is beautiful and it’s a lovely environment to eat in. The service at the bar and in the bar area was really excellent but this didn’t follow throughout the whole place. So a good 7/10 but service could have been better in parts. The reception could have also been friendlier.

Three of us went to Hawksmoor. I and one another had filets which were great. My other friend had a rib eye which had too much grizzle and was chewy. He left most of the steak. To be fair to the manager, Hawksmoor reimbursed the cost of the rib eye from the bill. The reason for my rating is that the waiter accidently knocked a bottle of red over my friend as well. His jacket, trousers and shirt were ruined, drenched in red wine. In the circumstances I thought it would have been good for the restaurant to offer my friend say £20/£25 for the dry cleaning bill - but he wasn't offered anything. We also weren't offered anything for the 1/3 of the bottle of red wine which was wasted. Not great service by any stretch.

We really enjoyed our experience dining here, it’s a fun location and the food was delicious. My only complaint is that they really pack the tables in there to fit as many people as possible and it felt a bit crowded and got pretty loud. I would definitely recommend the potted beef and bacon starter, it was amazing.

Poor service. 50 minute wait on a quiet lunch. Steak decent but not exceptional, particularly for the price. Don’t believe the hype.

This is my go to lunch spot when I’m errand running in the city. The food is good quality and service is excellent. I had Kos as my waiter during my last visit he was charming and attentive. The level of professionalism you expect from a far more expensive restaurant.

Was quite disappointed. I've been here numerous times and usually have a great experience every time. This recent time for my Sunday roast with friends the beef was not prepared properly. Usually it is tender, easy to cut. This was hard to cut and chewy. Truly a disappointment for the price you pay.

Huge fan of Hawksmoor and we always visit when are in town; this time my daughter’s birthday! We had been in December and had a disappointing visit; however the manager reached out and we were invited back to rectify.,Today’s visit really was superb; in fact we said it was probably the best roast we’ve had at Hawksmoor yet. The service was great, we were well looked after, water always topped off, friendly server. When the wine i’d ordered was not available, the lady suggested another, which I was a little nervous about but it was a good alternative and very palatable. The meat was excellent; great helping of vegetable, we got some extra potatoes as my daughter loves Roasties and we ended up sharing and endless jugs of gravy was no issue. This really reminded us of why we love Hawksmoor and it was absolutely worth making a return visit; it was superb! Thank you team!

Victorian Gin Tasting: Had a blast with history, fun facts the gin tasting itself as well as a fun and delicious cocktail making class. Our host July was awesome: funny, kind and very knowledgeable! I really recommend going with your significant other or a group of friends!

Nice welcome, able to get rid of coats and bags at the door. Surroundings really good. We had a table at the back of the room. Service was top draw the food matched it. Still very pricey for a Sunday dinner though

Hawksmoor is always reliably excellent. This was an impromptu dinner after one challenging week which turned out to be the tonic that was needed. Great food, team, drinks and atmosphere as always.

It had been over a decade since I last visited this branch, which I remember very fondly for its excellent food, great staff and welcoming atmosphere. Alas, this wasn't to be the case for our recent visit. The food, when it arrived after an interminable wait, was excellent (no change there!). But everything else about the experience was really lacklustre/disappointing. After being seated, we waited 15 minutes for our server to arrive, who introduced herself by complaining about the oppressive heat in the restaurant. And she wasn't wrong, it was unbearably hot in the space! When our drinks came after another 10/15 minutes, we ordered food and it was yet another 40 minutes before this was finally served. This wait, although not ideal but perhaps understandable given that it was a Saturday night, would have been fine it wasn't for the noisy hubbub and chaos in the dining room space. Between the loud music and members of wait staff darting in-and-out between tables at breakneck speed, it was really unpleasant being there. The space is definitely far more cramped than it used to be. It does seem as though more tables have been added to increase diner capacity, certainly since I was last there in 2015, which has impacted the atmosphere of the restaurant––making it feel more like a TGI Fridays than a decent steak restaurant. To add insult to injury, we waited 20 minutes to get our bill––having to resort to waving at our server at her station to signal for it. She later apologised because she had "spaced out in the heat" but this wasn't acceptable either. This meal was a special occasion, an anniversary, which was greatly let down by the overall experience in your restaurant. UPDATE: the manager responded to my complaints & very kindly offered a complimentary meal. Not sure I’ll be able to avail as seldom in London, but appreciate the thoughtfulness of the reply & makes me suspect that our bad experience was anomalous.

Delicious and perfectly cooked steak. Shared a 700g chateaubriand, which while pretty pricey, was exceptionally well seasoned and cooked to perfection. We were celebrating a birthday and had a nice sweet surprise at the end of the meal. The restaurant would benefit from some partitions throughout, as the dining area is enormous and noise levels were quite high. We were there on a Saturday night and it was full. If you’re looking for an intimate dinner for 2 you might need to request a far table or one of the booths.

We had an amazing first experience at Hawksmoor Air Street and will definitely be back. From the moment we stepped inside, we were warmly welcomed. Arriving early, we enjoyed a drink at the bar before being seated right on time. The restaurant’s atmosphere was spot on—low lighting created a relaxed and inviting vibe. Every staff member who passed by greeted us, and our waitress, Lenca , was exceptional. She guided us through the menu, steak sizes, and prices, helping us choose the perfect sides and desserts. Even the manager stopped by for a friendly chat. Without a doubt, this is my new favorite spot, and we’ll be returning soon!

Reserving at the bar is for a table, not a seat, which is something I was trying to avoid as a solo diner. This restaurant is exceptionally loud, my steak was cut unevenly leading to one end being way overcooked, and the Caesar was bland and inedible. Service was decent as is the wine list.

Excellent food and service as always - a most enjoyable experience.
