Haweli Indian Restaurant in Waltham Forest

Usually use this restaurant and spend a lot of money. Has gone down a lot so disgusting the service. Few times now they have forgotten bits of the order and tonight we ordered sheesk kebab main which is £7.50 and received the starter instead, called up said they would deliver it in 30 mins, 1 hr and ten mins later no show, called them was so rude trying to hang up on us and full of excuses again. finally turned up ( considering they are only 10 mins down the road) finally got to eat the food ( well most ended up in the bin) was bland cold and tiny portions considering the price. Never ordering again!

We have ordered from this restaurant before but tonight it wasn’t great at all. I’m sorry but the tikka masala tasted sour and old, had 2 pieces of potatoes and one cauliflower florets as main veg very poor, both the chapati and naan where cold and the meat in the lamb curry was so tough. Not happy at all with the food this evening . Sorry guys

I am a long term customer eating in the actual restaurant here! A first on a takeaway...we enjoyed the assorted dishes. I'd like to give 5 stars next time!!!

Slightly bland tikka masala. Costs 2 pounds more per main item than other restaurants which is unacceptable given blandness. Rice dishes also too expensive, for 4 pounds special fried rice comes in half sized box. Will not order again.

Perfectly edible but my search for a top notch indian in Richmond/Barnes/Putney continues....

This was the most tasteless and poor quality Indian I have ever had and it was expensive for what it was as well. It arrived late but that I could have lived with that if everything else was on point.

I said in a note not before 8.45pm - it arrived early before my kids were asleep so it was luke warm when I got it.

The mix grill should be listed under starters thats how small the portion is.

Food was average but still was the best part of the experience. Arrived 25 mins late, I rang and chased after 15 mins and got no apology. When it arrived there were no poppadums or chutney despite being charged for this.

Got Coke instead of Diet Coke like I ordered but everything else was lovely.

Had to call restaurant after a 20minute delay to delivery; told by manager that it was human error; I should have received notification from the restaurant and not had had to call. Manager was quite rude on the phone.

Not a tasty madras had huge slices of ginger running through the curry had so many I had to pick them out The onion salad was just onion nothing else These are completely different from any other curry house I've ordered from On the other hand I had great service, sadly food was a huge disappointment , will not return

Excellent excellent delicious chicken korma. Nice people. Daal a bit salty for my liking but did I mention how delicious the korma was? Best korma I have had in ages.

Good food and delivery time but slightly disappointed that adding a popadum to the order literally meant one popadum. Would have liked a note saying price is for one or something like that.

The prawn was burnt and there wasn't a lot of flavour in the food.

Was delivered really quick, they even phoned to say they didn't have a certain rice and would it be okay to have another, they rang when they was outside like I asked the only down side was one of the chicken portions was chewy but it was really tasty

It was OK, not bad. Chana masala a bit oniony. Naan lovely. Dahl of the more watery kind. Chicken Ceylon nice, sweet, tangy, not as hot as hoped. Stingy with poppdoms.

Normally excellent, but forgot 1 of our garlic naan breads 😢

Ceylon can be quite a hard curry to order. I'm pleased I've found a top quality place offering this dish. Food arrived bang on time (and on a Friday evening), and was really good.

Delayed delivery. 4 over cooked prawns in a £12 dish. Extremely poor value!

Very tasty lamb dansak. Ordered twice from here now. Authentic, good quality food, one of the best Indian deliveries I have found in the area. Only down side is they don't seem to do the common sag paneer vegetable side dish, which is especially odd as they do it as a main... But great food.

Absolutely terrible. The food arrived cold and was missing one of our items. When we rung them to ask for the item to be resent we were verbally abused down the phone and then hung up on. We had to ring just eat to sort it out and even then the 'restaurant' could not resolve the issue to our satisfaction. Terrible food, staff and service. Ended up cooking our own food to go with the watery curry they actually managed to put in our bag. Don't order from them, you'll regret it.

The meal was excellent and arrived very quickly. I know from past experience this restaurant's food can occasionally be not so good, but when it is good it is delicious. Definately worth taking the chance.

Definitely my favourite Indian takeaway, food is of a very high quality and delicious!

Everything I ate was fantastic! I was so pleasantly surprised by their food. The lamb biryani was succulent and flavourful, chapattis were soft and felt home cooked, lamb roganjosh was delicious without being overpowering. A far cry from the usual indifferent indian food takeaways. I will order from Haweli's again and often.

Coconut rice was very weird. Not even rice. Just seemed like an abundance of dried coconut. Curry and Naan was OK, but overall I was rather disappointed.

First of all this is the second time I have ordered from this place and it shall be the last as the first time all my food came to me cold and half hour late . But I believe in second chances and yet again my food was stone cold !!! When paying so much for the curry I expect it to be warm not stone cold were I have to reheat it and this time my korma so was so salty I could hardly eat it such a big disappoinmeant !!!

Tried a few different Indians since moving to the area and this one is definitely the best! Great authentic taste and quality, large portion sizes and exactly on time. Will be ordering again
