I have been going to this restaurant for nearly 35 years and it is still top class. The food is fresh and tasty with enough spice and there is lots of choice/variation. Service is always courteous and speedy and I look forward to our next visit.

Was recommended to Hawali and it certainly did not disappoint. We live out of London and can't get Indian food like this. One dish was packed with subtle spices, another was hot with difference spices. The rice and dhal were amazing and the naan was the best we'd ever had. Friendly, efficient waiters and excellent value. We'll be back!

Apparently it is James May's (of Top Gear / Grand Tour / My Man in Japan / Oh Cook / etc. fame) favourite Indian restaurant. Anyway. The food is always good here, and the staff are always quick to advise on heat levels (mild <--> blow-your-head-off) as the chef is more than capable of bringing it 'authentic' levels of heat. Great selection and range of food, and it's among some of the best Indian I've had!

We walked into the Haweli restaurat at 6pm just at it was opening. We were in a hurry and this was the first Indian restaurant on the street we came across. We took a chance. We ordered the chicken jalfrezi and sizzling chicken shashlik - usually safe bets. The former was bland, the sauce lacked any depth of spicy flavor and was poorly seasoned. It was a similar story for the shashlik . It was also very THIN on flavor. Both dishes indicated to us a complete lack of care in their preparation. The accompaniments of poppadums' + dips starter, the rice and peshwari nann were fine. No complaints. But we don't go to an Indian restaurant for the accompaniments....we go for a tasty curry and on this occasion Haweli failed miserably. The service charge of 10% automatically added was not justified. We'll walk right past Haweli next time.

"Asian" seems a bit misleading, this is, as far as I understand, solely Indian restaurant. But a good one, definitely. Butter chicken was excellent.

Super kind staff and pleasant atmosphere. Food was delicious but portions were too small. It doesn’t match the price

I ordered a couple of times from Taste of Punjab when I was staying in London and they never let me down. The food is delicious! Very tasty, very spicy. Garlic hari mirch chicken is sensational. Tarka Dal with an intriguing blend of spices. Keema (aloo) really good. Naan excellent, in many variants. Thank you, Taste of Punjab, you made me happy!

We had the most delicious curries here - tender fall off the bone EXMOOR LAMB SHANK.. ground spices, yoghurt and fresh coriander with excellent pilau rice. The monk fish curry was so flavoursome we needed a 2nd bowl of pilau rice. My Pimm’s was most enjoyable Overall highly enjoyable and highly recommend
