A small group of us stumbled across this cafe whilst out walking the dogs, which meant we had to eat outside. Our toasted tea cakes and toasted sandwiches were fantastic, the best toasty I’ve ever had in fact (cheese, ham and onion, in case you’re wondering). Lovely coffee too, friendly service, clean and speedy. Overall a lovely little cafe \ restaurant..

This is a Promenade cafe with good views to the beach and the river. Nine of us visited for Breakfast one morning and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was decently priced, good sized portions, good quality and piping hot. The service was friendly and very efficient. The tables are a good size so no one is crowded when eating. Great Staff. Thank you to Jane and the staff for accommodating all of use with no prior notice.

What could be better, a stroll along Cleethorpes seafront on a chilly but sunny winter day, followed by a full English breakfast and a hot drink at the Hawaiian Eye cafe. We went this morning. Received a warm welcome and great service from the pleasant ladies on duty. Brilliant special offer breakfast with beverage, 2 for £10 .. Surely the occasional fried breakfast can't be bad. When ours arrived it looked exactly as the picture on the menu card, something not all well-known fast food emporia can achieve. Beautifully cooked and appetisingly arranged on a pre-warmed plate. And essentially, it left that fine glossy film of lubrication on the lips, a must following a full English. We highly recommend the Hawaiian Eye cafe and will make this a regular visit. Very well done ladies!

We'd just arrived for a day in Cleethorpes to wander along the seafront etc. Parked up near the pier - only the second car in the row - and then in for a cuppa before what will be a cold walk today.

The Hawaiian Eye is located on the seafront at Cleethorpes, just opposite the pier. I had a cheese & pineapple panini which included a small salad and crisps. I found the staff to be really friendly, the lady working on the tills was really helpful in choosing something suitable, she was a vegan so she made a few recommendations including a vegetarian burger and vegetarian sausages, but due to me having a bbq the previous evening I decided to stick with a panini. I recommend to vegetarians as Cleethorpes isn’t the easiest place to find a vegetarian option and this place offers a few things.

This place is a local icon. I first visited here as a brand new biker in 1976 when the local authorities wouldn't let motorcycles onto the seafront to park. Time definitely stands still here. All day full English is excellent but has no black pudding, toast or fried bread is marvellous. The cost per head will be a very pleasant surprise. Yeah OK, very transport cafe style but then this place has never ever been pretentious. If that is your type of eats then go elsewhere, you won't get pretence here. Staff are brill and pleasant usually with a really nice smile. Always at its best out of season. Love it !

This place is a fairly typical beach side cafe, basic but decent enough food. It has a small seating area out at the front which is relatively clean and nice to sit out watching the world go by.

I love the breakfast at this cafe. Although the portion size isn't huge the food itself is delicious. Whenever we visit Cleethorpes we always call in. However on the past three occasions the staff have been decidedly rude. Whilst deciding what to have from the breakfast menu at the counter we were asked "are you having anything or not?" In a very rude manner. The second occasion our food was literally thrown onto the table without the waitress asking who's was who's and with no toast forthcoming. The last time we visited was Armed Forces Weekend. Once again, no toast and a rude comment from the kitchen staff when we didn't hear the order number called. Also, I would expect a cafe to provide toilet facilities which they don't. Unfortunately , due to all these factors we will not be going there any more.

Myself and my parents had coffees and some donuts on Sunday at this cafe. When we were ready to leave I went inside to ask to use their loo. I was told that they do not have a customer toilet and I will have to go to the nearest public loos 5 minutes walk away. So Hawaiian Eye Cafe. Read up on customer laws and rights: SECTION 20 OF THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS ACT 1976 States that If a cafe or restaurant has more than 10 seats (you have far more than 10 seats) you HAVE TO PROVIDE TOILET FACILITIES. So, next time I come to visit Cleethorpes I hope that you have installed toilets for your customers or we shall have to have a word with my solicitor.

Me and my husband have been coming to this cafe for quite a few months now, we go once or twice a week and we've never been let down. The women in there are so lovely and always make conversation with you, they make sure your needs are met and the food never disappoints either, always so lovely presented and tastes delicious. Today I'm writing this review because of the Lasagne I had for lunch today.. I've never had this before as I usually stick to breakfasts, toasts and tea cakes but today I fancied something a little different, so I ordered the Lasagne, Chips and Salad which was one of today's specials. Now when it comes to Lasagne I'm a very picky person as it's one of my favourite foods, but after tasting their HOMEMADE lasagne I could not believe my mouth.. it was so full of flavour and every bite was amazing, real love and care goes into this cafe and It's food, definitely worth a try if your stopping in this little seaside town

This is the sort of landmark that is OK, nice to see, but that's about it. The concrete bird is so out of place, or maybe I just don't understand it. The waterfalls are nice, but hey please take a lesson from somewhere like the Chatsworth Gardens, where there are impressive waterfalls in small areas that have thousands of people taking pictures of it (not selfies), daily.

Recently stopped here for breakfast with a friend and found it very disappointing.Food: I ordered a large breakfast with no tomatoes and subsequently got one with tomatoes. This was changed when I pointed out the mistake. The plate was cold, the two fried eggs cold and very overdone (totally solid all the way through with black edges) and the sausage tasteless with a strange texture. The hash browns were soft and a little mushy.General: The whole cafe felt a little run down and drab, I appreciate that they need to clean but to be giving everything's a good wash with hot soapy water whilst still cooking breakfasts is not ideal. There are better places to eat for the same or less money.Sorry Hawaiian eye but I'll not be back.

Love this place! Proper homecooked food like you'd expect from a good cafe. Discovered it one morning when we were looking for somewhere to eat breakfast, then kept coming back for lunch and dinner as we were impressed by the quality. Hawaiian Eye is directly on the sea front at Cleethorpes a couple of hundred metres from the pier. It is a cafe not a restaurant. It is cheap and cheerful. Some recent reviewers need to acknowledge that and get over it, perhaps? In no way is it set up in competition with the Pier. Completely different market and Prices much higher on the pier and so you expect better decor and better quality produce !!! Isn't that obvious???It is cheap and cheerful and the owner / staff warm and friendly. Go on that basis and you will enjoy it- particularly if u are running to a tight budget when going to the pier Isnt going to be an option. It like saying I am off to Harrods because the food is better than tesco's !!! If u do go and u don't like the tea- why not tell them and give them the opportunity to put it right by offering an apology and another cup of tea ??? Too easy to complain to everyone else. Place gets my vote anyway !!

Recently visited this cafe in cleethorpes and ordered a small English breakfast which was only just ok . Bacon was burnt , a tasteless sausage and a greasy fried egg yuk! But worse was to come , the cup of tea was disgusting and I could not drinki it , it tasted stewed and as if the container used to boil the water was furred up . Won't ever go to that cafe again, over the years I have visited it many times and been satisfied . Staff need a shake up and learn how to make a proper cup of tea and to taste it themselves to find out what rubbish they are charging people for . Will in future go across the road to the pier where they do a excellent cuppa

We called here for a quick bite of lunch. It was cheerfully decorated and the staff were friendly. It was good value and the food was well presented on the whole. The main reason for only giving two stars was the quality. Cheese on toast was melted cheese on bread, the cheesecake tasted a bit 'old' and wasn't very 'cheesy'. The coffee was wet and warm so served its purpose. So this place is literally cheap and cheerful.

Ordered drinks for myself and 2 year old grandson. Had to sit outside as they were cleaning the café prior to closing. Before we had finished our drinks my grandson needed to go to the toilet. I asked where it was and was told to use public toilets around corner. I asked if they would look after our drinks until we returned. We came back after about 5 minutes and they had removed our table and chairs although there were still other people sitting outside.. I retrieved our drinks from staff but we had to go across the road to finish our drinks. Whilst standing at the counter my grandson banged his head on a menu board which was fixed to the wall under the counter and which protruded about two inches just at toddler height. Not a very good experience, will not be back. To top it all my coffee was obviously very very cheap instant and not particularly pleasant.

Ok so firstly, for a greasy spoon type of cafe this is a good find.Myself and my partner visited for lunch and we enjoyed what we had.The service was with a smile and welcoming. The only comment I would give is, I don't usually eat deep fried things and as much as I enjoyed my meal I was left with the 'deep fried' aftertaste for a couple of hours. This would probably not be a problem to most that eat fried food more often.I will visit again but choose from the Panini menu next time instead of scampi and chips.

Great lively place great music BUT oh dear me the bar staff need re training. The are two bars and lots of people waiting to be served you cannot just serve the person stood in front of you or just walk away into the other bar. Any bar staff worth their salt know who is next or who has been stood the longest. Surely the manager allocated certain staff for each bar. Although it was New Years Eve it wasn’t particularly busy.
