Haveli in West Dunbartonshire

love this place, recently part hired it for about 50 family and friends for my Sons 30th Birthday. Its a Buffet Restaurent which has a great choice of food, varied, Indian currys, starters, Chinese noodles, Pizzas, chips, chicken wings, ribs , and sweets with a chocolate fountain. Highly recommend here, the staff are so friendly, it is fantastic value for money.

We stopped here on the way home on a Sunday. I've passed haveli so many times before and I'm kicking myself I have not visited sooner. We were given a warm welcome and shown to our table. We waited a few minutes whilst the buffet was replenished. There was a great choice of starters, mains and desserts. Everything was fresh hot and delicious. Its by far the best buffet I have ever been too and will definitely go back. Also our 10 year old son ate for free I couldn't believe it...total value for money and can't wait to go back. 😀

Handy for station, just round the corner, and theatre as we were going to see a show and came from Glasgow

Haveli is a buffet restaurant & has a very gd selection of Indian & Chinese food,they also have Italian options,the food is very tasty & great value for money with very friendly staff

Jag & his team have a wonderful restaurant which is perfect for singles, couples, families or a party. A fabulous selection of food & I reckon there is something for everyone. Would highly recommend & they have made life long customers out of us, See you soon guys!

Absolutely terrible. Where do I start? We didn’t even eat we walked out before our drinks arrived… - place is filthy - waitress didn’t even greet us and didn’t speak any English - we ordered drinks and then went to scope out the buffet at which point we decided to leave to avoid the likely salmonella and e-coli.

Traveled 40 miles to this restaurant on Thursday from Falkirk as it’s definitely worth the trip. Food selection and freshness is amazing. You can pay for a drink that you can refill as many times as you like. Staff are super friendly and clean your plates very quickly. Huge selection of food and desserts even our very fussy 5 year old likes the food here. Keep up the good work Can’t wait to come again. Weaver family.

My husband & i visited for the first time & would highly recommend it,the food was delicious & being a buffet restaurant we weren't limited,dinner was priced at £13.95 each plus extra for drinks which we could refill as many times as we wanted,very gd value for money & the staff are lovely & friendly,we will definitely be going back

Had my 60th Birthday meal here on 15th May 2022. Fabulous afternoon with friends and family (40 people). Lovely staff and great selection of buffet food including Indian, Chinese, Pizza, etc.

I was amazed that on a Friday night at 18:30 this place was fairly empty! It’s a small ‘world’ buffet that caters for a variety of tastes. There was a warm welcome and a good variety of choice for a small place. The price was really good too. It’s not fine dining, it was tasty and plentiful. We all liked the haggis pakora! Probably wouldn’t got there if I was coeliac or had a severe intolerance due to cross contamination but we didn’t ask the staff how they could have helped.

This was only the 2nd time we had eaten here and both visits have been worth the money. Excellent choices of food, pleasant staff and comfortably environment. Recommended

Had my first experience in Haveli today and we were delighted. I had previously been put of by some of the reviews on here. If you're the same, I'd say don't be! The staff were very efficient, pleasant, and helpful. I noticed one of the staff regularly checking the available food and using a walkie-talkie to communicate to the kitchen. This might not seem like much but good to have a buffet place that is on the ball like that. Free soft drink refills too, including Irn Bru which is uncommon in other restaurants and a huge plus. The food was good and there was a selection of different cuisines. I would say that this is better than a lot of other buffets I have tried. There are also no other buffet restaurants in the area so it's a nice change. Only one thing that stops me giving this 5 star is more vegetarian/vegan options. I am not vegetarian or vegan myself, but looking to cut down on my meat consumption. Vegetarians will be fine - veggie pakora, pizza, chips, veggie curry, garlic mushrooms etc. Vegans might struggle a wee bit more. If you've never been - give it a try! You'll definitely be back.

We had heard a few things about this restaurant and not very good. I must say we had a great meal with plenty of choice right across the range of Italian, Chinese and Indian food and I can say they were all very good, well cooked ant tasty. Great ambience in the restaurant and good music. The only thing which let them down was the toilets were not the best and could be a lot better. Why not try it out we did and it was great

Came in from a bright sunlit street, venue felt a bit dark inside. It was a fairly typical world food buffet restaurant, with most Asian, Italian, British and American tastes catered for, but very much on a budget. Some of the dishes were more sauce than meat, but there was plenty of flavour. The dessert were a bit of a let down, some of them were obviously supermarket bought like the individual apple pies. The price was about right for what it was.

Went here with some of my work colleagues on a Saturday night. For the four of us it wasn't that expensive and we opted for soft drinks as they came with unlimited refills. The selection of food is second to none! It's great quality and is replenished constantly. The chunks of chicken tikka are particularly tasty. Great choice of Curries, Pasta, Pizza and starters. Also an amazing desert bar featuring a Chocolate Fountain, Ice Cream selection and various cakes and chocolate bars. The service is excellent as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Going to make it a regular occurrence.

Lovely calm atmosphere, low level music. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. There was a good selection of starters and salads. There were so many choices for main courses that a return visit is a must to sample all the available dishes. There were also plenty of deserts, cakes, ice cream and a chocolate fountain. Tea and coffee was also included in the price.There were only a few little negatives, in my opinion. Most of the dishes were made with chicken, there could perhaps be a little more variety. There could also have been some more vegetable dishes.

My wife and I decided to give this local restaurant a try as the price seemed really good and we were looking for somewhere local to eat. This is not somewhere we had heard anyone talk about so went in with no idea what to expect other than the cuisine types.The food on offer included Indian, Italian, Chinese, Turkish and had an offering for children too. I personally only tried the Indian offerings but found the food to be tasty, filling and of a decent quality. I enjoyed the vegetable pakora and chicken pakora which both had a good taste and some spice but the main event for me was the curries on offer as I tried a chicken chef masala, chicken chasni and chicken korma amongst others and found whilst not as full of depth of flavour that I have had at other Indian restaurants the curries were all tasty and had good size chunks of chicken that were well cooked. The chicken in the korma I did find a little bit less moist than the other curries but it was by no means tough.The restaurant does also offer a dessert buffet as part of the price and this offered up a little something sweet at the end of your meal without paying more which you can’t really groan about.One of my favourite things here was they offer free refills on large soft drinks which is great but what I loved even more was the self serve dispenser at the bar. Many buffets make their money on the drinks so to find this alongside a large buffet which is good value really is excellent.

I was extremely impressed by this restaurant, the staff were all friendly with a great attitude and a smile. Anyone looking for outstanding food and great variety, I highly recommend you come along. Me and my family will be returning and are considering making it our new go to place for functions, parties and birthdays

Was really nice food was hot and things like pizza and other thing got made fresh for us was very nice big bits of chicken lovely will be back the only down side was when you just finish your last thing on plate then it gets taken away too fast apart from that

Its buffet only and its awful and cold and the food is worse than you would buy from asda! They don't leave the heaters on under the food so its really cold and tasteless. It looks like a fantastic place but do not be fooled. Won't EVER go back!

Went with my family for my brithday. The food was well presented hot and lots to chose from. Staff were very friendly. Kids loved the chocolate fountain and were pleased that they can help themselves to ice cream etc. Looking forward to our next visit

I nipped in here this afternoon for the dinner buffet and I have to say I'm less than impressed. The worst buffet I've been too actually.

Lovely sort of world buffet place. It had Indian, Chinese, Italian and British carvery food. There was a small area for kids too.

I was between trains getting from one end of the West Highland Way to the other. I had enough time to get into Dumbarton centre to find some lunch but as I came out of the station I immediately found Haveli, an All You Can Eat Buffet Restaurant. It was going to open with enough time to eat so instead of using my spare time looking for food in the town I was able to explore the town itself. I was back at Haveli before opening time but the door was open while they brought food out to the Buffet, so I went in. I was welcomed to make a start with whatever was already out. For just £6.95 I could have my fill from a wide range of starters, main courses, desserts and tea/coffee. The food was good, the staff friendly and the price brilliant. I gave them £10 which was still a great bargain for me and clearly appreciated by them.

Went for a meal with friends and was pleasantly surprised! I think the deal was something like buffet + 3 alcoholic drinks for £18. This equated to a bottle of wine, in our case.

Have visited this restaurant on a few occasions now and it’s becoming one of my favourite restaurants. The staff are all so polite and helpful and make sure dirty dishes are removed from the table quickly. Absolutely love their food too. Such a wide variety including Chinese, Indian, European, and Italian. They also have quite a good selection of desserts. They also do free re-fills on soft drinks.

This restaurant exceeded my expectations, the staff were polite and friendly and the food was great and at 10.95 per adult this is good value for money, we could not fault it at all. The decor is modern and tasteful and the restaurant is spotlessly clean. There was plenty to choose from Indian , Chinese, Italian and the food was all hot not just warm like some other buffets. Kids also eat free on a Sunday which is a bonus if you are wanting to take the kids as there is plenty for them also. There is a big chocolate foundation, ice cream, marshmallows and even tablet!

Been a couple of times just incase our first visit was a blip. I feel that they cook far to much at the one time meaning that when you go for the buffet the things are warm or just a slight heat. I think it would be better if they cooked to the amount of people in at the time. Personally I like my food hot.

went to clydebank swimming with the kids dropped them off to go for a bite to eat my good lady suggested we go to haveli for the buffet. the food was absolutely superb especially the lamb bhoona it was a feast of delights from start to finish very friendly and helpful staff and will be going back again in the near future highly recommend you go and try it you wont be disappointed

Attended a work Christmas night out last Friday(14th) and the food was good, service ok.

Surprise birthday buffet with my daughter and grandsons. The choice and quality of the food was great. It was all hot and very tasty. The children were well catered for and the chocolate fountain was a big hit. Looking forward to going back when next in Dumbarton.

Xmas night out with work colleagues but unbeknown to some of us that the vodka being served was actually water!! They must’ve thought ‘drunk folk won’t notice’... well it was noticed and proved as one of the staff drank from the bottle straight once we challenged it and quite clearly in his own words stated it was indeed water!! He said their suppliers provided the bottles and the seals were not broken, ermmm I don’t think so! Will never visit again and will also be advising others via social media to not visit this place ever, complete disregard for their paying customers and totally unacceptable.

Visited here twice in a fortnight it was that good! Great value for money especially the free refills on juice, also liked the help yourself as it was so convenient! Good selection of fresh, tasty food and the pizzas were lovely! Really nice restaurant loads of space and very cosy, handy as it’s right next to the train station. Staff are lovely-if you’re looking for great food and great value definitely give it a try!!

Apart from doctoring the vodka ,need to ask what they may have done with the food?

10 of us went on Friday for dinner. All food was lovely and hot and constantly refilled and ice creams etc were quickly rotated to new tubs when they started to get empty. Plates were taking away instantly making way for clean ones. Staff were friendly and really efficient at their job. Would Def go back.

After many successful visits to this amazing restaurant I recommended it for our Christmas night out for the work. As always we were greeted by very friendly staff.

Christmas night out last night with about 18 colleagues ...the food was actually really nice and fresh...however.... vodka was 100% water....not even watered down..just pure water in the vodka bottle on the bar. Hoping people wouldn't notice. Well it was noticed and we took our 18 wee pairs of legs, and our money off elsewhere and will not be returning. Makes you wonder where else they are cutting corners?!

It was a Sunday night and I took my grandchildren and their dad for dinner.

Been a few times, kids love it. Does what it says on the tin, more Indian food than any other on offer but also does macaroni cheese, lasagne, pizza, Thai, Chinese and salads etc. Loads of different sweets, ice cream and the obligatory chocolate fountain for the kids lol. Staff polite and helpful, spotlessly clean throughout also. Self serve fizzy drinks included in buffet. Only minor complaint was that my little one loves the macaroni and goes specifically for that and once we went and it had been sat for a long time and was completely dried out. However this could have been an oversight and we didn’t ask for a fresh one which I’m sure they would have done for us if we’d asked but there was plenty other food on offer which she had instead. All in all a great addition to local restaurants and extremely affordable for all budgets.

I was told of this Buffet Restaurant by some friends who have now moved to that area and decided to give it a try .
