Hatton Court Hotel in Stroud

A great hotel just outside Gloucester. A friendly welcome on arrival. We were allocated a room on extension but asked for a room overlooking Severn valley which they happy obliged. So worth it as views amazing! The room was modern and looked like it had been recently updated. Bed, pillows, duvet lovely. Shower over bath great. We had a great meal in the restaurant, perfectly cooked, lovely atmosphere and attentive service. It was part of offer so we had £50 credit, this would not cover two people having two courses but the standard of food was worth it. All to often hotel restaurants can be left wanting but we were more than satisfied. Amazing breakfast menu including Shakshuka, kippers along with usual options. This was all part of a two night package including 2 free drinks and an afternoon tea - great value One little quip would be the carpet in the extension where we were first put - so needs changing. We would definitely go back 😁

You need to be very careful who you choose front of house and who represents your hotel.

The behaviour on the programme 4 in a bed from the two ladies was disgusting and it would put me off from going near this place with the scummy behaviour and dirty comments on the show

Pricy but good accomodation and food

The receptionists could have been a little more welcoming, but other than that, a clean bed and room and peaceful night's sleep.

As with previous reviews, rooms are dated but clean enough. The staff though I can't say enough about. Nothing is too much trouble, they are amazing and a credit to the hotel

Very pleasant stay, good service and meals.

First of all the views of the surrounding countryside are outstanding, the rooms seem clean and well maintained, I had a room in the annex which had been decorated to match the main house. The food is good, slightly expensive, however the staff and service are excellent. I had the squid to start, which was nice but generic, the fish special for main which shone through. The seabass was cooked perfectly, delicious, and was recommended by the server Valerica, an excellent choice. For pudding had the filo wrapped banana with salted caramel ice cream, which was delicious. For the price the hotel and rooms seem fantastic value for money, the food at dinner was expensive but good and the service was excellent. Would recommend.

Lovely quiet out the way hotel. Perfect for relaxing.

What a beautiful hotel filled with amazing staff who went above and beyond to make my short stay very pleasant. The high location of the hotel gave a breathtaking view and I was fortunate to enjoy the vista on the outside terrace for dinner and breakfast which was peaceful. My room had lots of character with exposed beams and a fantastic countryside view. Everywhere was clean and the staff in every area of the hotel were welcoming. ***** high recommendation

Lovely place and great staff...We like to just come for a drink and sit outside on the terrace.

Very nice charming hotel with lovely views. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our original room had a heating issue i.e. was too hot but they changed and upgraded us to another room. The hotel is in need of some upgrades, decorating etc but the great news is that is why they can currently give some really good deals.

Stayed for one night as was bought for a gift for myself and my other half. Really glad we chose this hotel. From the moment we checked in to the second we checked out everyone was so polite, kind and friendly. We had dinner and breakfast here and the food was great. Fresh and came out nice and quick. Rooms clean to a nice standard and in my opinion brilliant value for the price they charge. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely stay here again.

Four of us went to this delightful country house for 2 days (March 2024) and I cannot praise it enough. Fabulous, comfortable beds & rooms but the people are what really make this break so wonderful. They cannot do enough for you. Plus fantastic value for money. They deserve to do so well. Zak was a treasure who helped us at every opportunity. Thank you Hatton Court.

I have not stayed at this hotel, which is a shame because it looks very nice.My reason for now ever wishing to stay there is witnessing the appalling way the 2 juvenile girls put forward to represent t9he hotel behaved on their feature on 4 in a bed tv programme. Apart from being a programme ro entertain, it is also a programme to showcase the establishment to encourage people to sta I'm sorry but the 2 girls were enough to make me think there are a lot of other hotels to stay in I'm glad thier gross underpayments failed in thier obvious atte mp to win the competition. They had the audacity to complain about a complimentary breakfast!!!!!

All in all really poor experience and even hair in my breakfast

Worst place I've ever stayed AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Had a fantastic overnight stay at Hatton Court Hotel as a 1 night Honeymoon, we were welcomed by Sam who was very friendly & helpful we were given room 6 which is a lovely room with an amazing bath , our room was lovely with a 4 poster bed , our meals were delicious (evening meal & breakfast) Claire on reception was very friendly & helpful too . Lovely hotel definitely highly recommended

Really nice old hotel. Lots of parking. Good sized rooms and very good food, though a little expensive.

Had lovely stay here, rooms were excellent and hotel was immaculate food also very good, great location too thank you.

Lovely hotel it a nice location. The bar area was very cosy, with an open fire and the food was very good in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The staff were friendly and welcoming in all areas. The only let down for us was the noisy room, (room 5). The room is directly above the bar so there was naturally some noise, but the window is directly above the entrance / exit, pull in for taxis and delivery vans. We heard everyone leaving from the function, every conversation, door slam, shouting across the car park, taxis pulling up and then in the morning the reverse bleeper of the delivery lorry at 7.30, who then kept the engine running through the 30 mins he was delivery. The windows are not double glazed so unfortunately the noise disturbed our stay.

Been here a few times..rooms are very nice and clean..the food is very delicious..great location..
