Food good, opted for rotisserie chicken. Ordered specific Pinot Grigio, got brought a cheapo version, challenged and was replaced. Good value as we used the wife's birthday voucher.

Exceptional service and food as always. Yvonne is always so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Food was piping hot and delicious.

It was ok! Food quite good, but onion rings burnt and hard. Parking terrible, not enough room. Waited a long time to place order had to go and fetch someone in the end. Not enough bowls for the salad for our party. Waitress went to fetch some more but they were straight out of the dishwasher and very warm! Not good for a cold salad. We were stuck on a table on our own behind the fireplace!

Rooms are plush with large TV's. Free wifi is a big bonus for when you have that extra bit of work to do. Excellent menu and the oddcask ale.

Shocking place. Walked in and could smell burnt food, waited 10 minutes to be seated. Got our seat and could visibly see smoke across the restaurant. Initial service was ok then they seemed to forget we were there. Got first drinks and had to go change a glass as it was dirty. They pulled 4 glasses out before they found one they weren’t ashamed to give me. Food came out and was nice food. Cutlery again dirty had to change the fork meal came with a steak knife. My wife then went to the bar for another drink as nobody was around, they looked to be all taking breaks. Waited 5 minutes at an empty bar then gave up and decided not to waste any more money in the place. Finished our food got a takeaway dessert for the kids which came with there children’s meal and left. Will not be returning.

Harvester often has good deals, I recommend subscribing to their emails or getting the app.

Great place, friendly staff, and good food. They have a rewards scheme for those with a smartphone. You can download their app and collect vouchers for rewards. Booking is advised, due to how popular it is, if you want to guarantee a table. They update the menu regularly, so you shouldn't get bored with their selections. The salad bar is also very nice with a good choice of items. [Edit (4/3/25) : after many years of coming here for family events, special occasions and just my wife and I sneaking away for a romantic meal. We have never had an issue that the staff on duty couldn't fix. The quality of the food and professional service has always been amazing. I highly recommend this venue]

Go to the Harvester Yeoman quite often. It’s a nice lunchtime dining place with friendly staff & it can be very good value when they have offers on.

Went in for a meal today with some of my family, had the lovely Kacey as our server. There was an issue with the kitchen equipment being broken, but was handled in the upmost professionalism and food was delivered quickly. Fantastic experience all thanks to Kacey, she is a great asset to the team

I was disappointed with the rotisserie chicken which was overcooked. The skin was burnt and the flesh was dry. Shall have to find another eatery

Let down a little today, usually brilliant food and service. Seated quickly and salad was great, but 45 mins after they took salad bowls away, we were all still waiting for our main courses. Ice cream on rocky horror dessert was ice cream flavoured soup today. They did compensate us for waiting but only because we complained. They'd already had the problem with another table and weren't proactive in informing us of any delays.

Set lunch meal price was great. Staff and service was good, friendly, approachable. Food was delicious

Had birthday dinner with family. Bit more expensive than we thought. But couldn't fault meals. Plates could have done with being warmer. Meals went cold quick.

Our waitress Yvonne was really great, made us feel welcome and comfortable as we was there. Also made sure my allergies were catered for. Thank you Yvonne. The food was spot on and tasted really nice.

We came for a family meal, 3 of us, 3 generations. Our server Ross was fab. He asked about allergies, my son is allergic to tree nuts, and he sorted that. He answered our questions and made us feel heard and well served. Food was good, wine nice, a carafe of water offered. All in all a very friendly place with a well trained and enthusiastic team. Food staff and atmosphere was great, my only problem was that I am registered blind and had to use my magnifier to read menu and had problems with print, thankfully a friend helped. Obviously problem specificly with regard to me. The food was really nice and well cooked

Prompt service despite the restaurant being busy, steak was a bit chewy but other than that, meal was great. Caitlin was very helpful.

How disappointed we were today when visiting one of our favourite places to eat. Bread tasted stale. Had to ask someone to change the pineapple on the salad bar as it had other food in it. Our food arrived, and my sweet potato fries were overcooked. A poor little boy on the table next to us waited 40 minutes for his pudding!! Standards have sadly dropped. Won't be going back any time soon.

The food nice, but for our last 2 visits the food has been Luke warm or cold and sent back and for some reason they are serving hot food on freezing cold plates!!

Meal for one while away with work is never exactly a joyous occasion, but the service was great (shout out to Rob - thanks for looking after me) and the food was good for the price, would come back if I find myself back in this neck of the woods again

Visited earlier 27th December 2024,waited over an hour to get our main meals wish we hadn't of bothered,everyone's food was cold and overcooked,a couple that came in after us had there meal before us,paid and left and we hadn't received our food.Yvonne the waitress was a nightmare it was as if she didn't know what she was doing.We will not be visiting again we shall go to the chase in higham lane as food is better quality and more value for money, the service is also second to none compared to the harvester.

Amazing breakfast! Eggs benedict was perfectly cooked. Lovely service from Yvonne so helpful and attentive.

Yvonne was brilliant as usual. She was on her own running round serving and taking orders. All this and still smiles.

Again, chicken was cremated. Small portions. Don't forget the price on the menu is without VAT added.

Minimal vegan options, salad bar was not refilled

Really friendly and polite staff. Food was very nice, and the sauce selection was vast! Portions on mains could've been a bit bigger for the money, but enjoyed. The atmosphere got 3* just because our side of the restaurant was cold. We asked for the heating to go on but it didn't. Around the open fire side it was lovely, but we were placed elsewhere and everyone our side on other tables had their coats on. Also the salad bar wasn't kept topped up, honestly it was the last scraps both sides, and there was no choice. We'd 100% go there again dont get me wrong its a nice place, but we'd move if in a draught.

We decided to celebrate a birthday at the Harvester on a Friday evening, looking forward to a joyful gathering with friends and family. My first encounter with this establishment dates back to the late 1980s. Despite living just across the road, I rarely ventured into the pub area, as it always felt somewhat unwelcoming. Unlike other pubs where one can immediately feel at ease, this Harvester had an air of discomfort about it, as if the ambiance had been frozen in time. The building, constructed in the 1960s or 1970s, bore the weight of its years; the carpet looked remarkably similar to what had been installed decades ago, and the decor felt outdated, lacking the warmth and charm that would invite patrons to linger. For our large group of twelve, the service turned out to be one of the evening's few highlights, with our waitress displaying remarkable attentiveness and willingness to ensure we were well taken care of. When our meals finally arrived, they came out simultaneously, a feat that is often challenging to achieve for such a large party. Unfortunately, many of us were met with a disappointing surprise: almost every dish was served cold. As I sliced into my chicken, I was disheartened to find that while the outer layer appeared cooked, the inside was cool. The same went for the chips that accompanied my meal, which echoed the sentiment of my fellow diners. It became clear that the kitchen lacked a salamander or any means to keep the dishes warm, a crucial oversight when serving a table of twelve, as the preparation time can stretch all the way to ten minutes. I know what its like as in my earlier years I was a chef for several busy restaurants. In all honesty, given the experience, I don't think I'll be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

Owen did a great job on table service and very friendly. Real hard worker and a credit to the Harvester. However, manager needs to ensure comms between kitchen, bar and front of house works better as food came out cold and drinks service was slow (not the fault of Owen).

Breakfast is incredible. Value for money is spot on and Yvonne worked her socks off and still managed to be polite, courteous and take a few seconds to have some conversation. Disappointed Harvester have her working alone when the kids have broken up from school. You’d never know though… a lovely attitude from the off.

The service was OK and the food was OK not great and not something I would urge others to go to. Feel it's lost something since last visit. Shame

Absolute crap ordered for collection for 8pm eventually came out 35 minutes later then i checked my food the chips was stone cold dry and like cardboard and the garlic bread was burnt to cinders .. will never go here again

Gravy was watery, if I was in the restaurant I’d have sent it back. Asked for Sage and Onion chips, didn’t get them. Asked for no Jalapeños on the nachos didn’t get that. Wouldn’t recommend for delivery.

Came here last Thursday to take advantage of 40% off mains. Was very busy but food came out quickly and cooked to perfection. We were asked straight away if we had any food allergies and a drinks order taken. Not sure of servers name but sat by the lovely Lacey. Thankyou!
