Kings fish bar in Nuneaton and Bedworth

Our favourite local fish & chips takeaway. The staff are lovely & friendly, the shop is always spotless & the food is delicious! *Update* My other half highly recommends the chicken kebabs, he can't get enough of them ... they're a good size & very tasty! **UPDATE** Aug '24 .... Still our favourite chippy with the best staff & the best Cod ever, we highly recommend Kings Fish Bar, all the food is excellent, never felt any need to complain about anything. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had a great bit of fish it melts in my mouth and had the best service

So asked Ben to go to Kingswood road chippy for me only to be charged 4.40 for this , it’s £2.40 for the chips and because we wanted gravy on the chips he reakon a he put a large gravy on it , well when I found the paper in the food ( why would u put paper under wet food I don’t know ) I went down and politely explained there was paper in the food and asked why he had been charged for a large gravy too , the older man proceeded to raise his voice at me after me repeatedly asking him to calm down I was not shouting so why was he the young lad was very polite and tried to calm him , I always use this chip shop but won’t be gain especially when you try to rectify your food you’ve paid for to be shouting at a woman too is just unacceptable #avoid

I'm giving a a low rating as they are a rip off. On more than 1 occasion have paid for chicken thighs and received a chicken drumstick which is cheaper but charged for the thighs. Totally unimpressed would never go here again I need to say it was chicken breast ordered which is more expensive and on 3 occasions I've received drumsticks.

My name is Petrah I always pop around my all time fish and chips shop get what I want to eat with my little princess and I can say the food is amazing 👏 😋. I can never get enough get chips make masala chips or cheese chips and they cone out amazing 👏 u would recommend all people to pop and try the amazing food.....I love how cheap its is a family of 3 we eat £12 or less.

A lot of grease and not a lot of taste We had the kebab, chicken meat, savaloy and chips. Everything was dripping in grease and had barely any flavour, really disappointing considering the good reviews this place had. Chips were okay but nothing special

The guys are friendly and quite quick when taking orders and serving. Been going here for years and the quality is still the best if not better. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 5⭐️

First time at King's, massive fish, had to cut it in half to get it on the plate, good prices and friendly service. Large sized portion of chips too. Would definitely return

large cod and chips was delicious!! Very generous with portion sizes.. mushy peas needed a little salt but the rest was great!

Our first time using this chip shop as we were in the area so decided to try it out. Will stick to our usual place, as the portion size was so small hardly any chips. The food was nice, just very small portions compared to other shops for the money.

The fish and chips were nice but the peas are full of not needed colorants. There is no way peas have that colour naturally.

My food was delayed and still half hour late! Food was I've cold when it finally was delivered. Ice cold and looks horrible NEVER AGAIN!

If I could leave no stars I would the scallops are basically just batter with the thinnest potatoe I have ever seen ... sorry I will not use again left it on counter and walked away after only 1 bite

Ordered chicken kabab with salad and chips twice. I got 2 tandori chicken kababs with no chips. Charged us through the nose for our meals. We just moved to the area so thought we would try the place an i can say i would gladly travel to go to my old chippy than to order from these. Avoid at all costs. Con artist.

Highly recommended defo use these all the time get more than enough for yr money . I know delivery abit slow on a friday night but its understanding with these guys working so hard defo worth the wait I'll be ordering every friday night beauitful tea delivery driver very polite good team keep up the good work guys.

Delicious food, great service, all round great atmosphere

Worst chippy in Nuneaton. Food was over an hour late. After calling them and they told me it'll be 5 mins and it still took them another half hour to deliver. Once it got here the food was cold and has to reheat it just to eat it

Awful service. Over 2 hours for food? It was like they were actually catching the fish and growing the potatoes for the chips. I can't tell you what the food was like because after 3 hours I gave up but I'm guessing it's as bad as their service

We have cod chips and curry sauce most Fridays. Not had a bad lot from here yet. Plentiful hot and very tasty. I would recommend to anyone.

Nice food the only thing I personally didn't like is that sometimes you have to wait for your food to be cooked while you wait apart from that would recommend kings fish bar

Delicious! We went to Kings after reading reviews and were not disappointed! Staff were so friendly and chatty, kebab meat is bloody good, big portions too. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next day! Highly recommended!

Took way to long, 30 minutes wait for donner meat and chips. Was offered chicken instead, my husband did say yes, instead of waiting. But we were still left waiting for donner meat.

This is the first ever review I have written , the reason being I feel I have been over charged and ripped off , I have always used this chips shop which has been fairly priced and good portions however today I was charged a £10.30 for battered sausage & chips with curry sauce plus chips with just kebab meat we had to wait at least 20 mins for the kebab and then when it came to eating the food the size of the portions where ridiculous , gone down hill since change of management

Chips are good and you get a good size bag for the price and kebabs are big.

Very good also serves big portions

Yesterday I bought 2 large fish and a cone chips, there were hardly any fish and over done with batter, the chips were tasteless, that cost £9.90 and we did not enjoy this at all, hopelessly to much batter on the fish.
