Lovely friendly staff. Very welcoming atmosphere. We had breakfast and thought that the pancakes were a little stodgy and could do with more toppings so unfortunately not 5 star on the food taste today.

Just the average taste, unfortunately they ran out of rotisserie chicken and the salad bar was almost getting closed, at this occasion wasn't good, but have had great food from other locations.

We had booked a table for 5:00pm but arrived slightly earlier at around 4:40pm. Upon arrival, we waited approximately 5–6 minutes before we were even greeted by a member of staff. After being seated and provided with menus, we waited around 20 minutes before anyone approached us to take our drinks order, at which point we also placed our food order to save further delay. Unfortunately, the wait continued – it took another 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and about 35–40 minutes for our food. We noticed several tables that were seated after us being served ahead of us, which only added to our frustration. When the food did arrive, my partner’s rice bowl was cold, and the rice had congealed together. He politely asked if it could be replaced with a fresh meal. The waitress took it away without issue, but unfortunately, even after we had finished our meals, his replacement dish had still not been brought out. After waiting a further 20 minutes, we decided to ask for the bill and leave without him being able to eat. The rice bowl was not added to the bill. In addition to these issues, we noticed paperwork left at the “Please Wait to be Seated” stand, which detailed the restaurant’s daily targets, previous day’s sales, and focuses for the day – a few of which was supposedly “Quality of the Food.” “Gain compliments/reviews. Given our experience, it was disappointing to see that this standard was clearly not met. I would also like to add that I previously visited your restaurant for breakfast a few years ago, which was so poor that I had not returned until now. I decided to give dinner a try, hoping for a better experience, but unfortunately, this visit was equally, if not more, disappointing. Our family meal out was meant to be an enjoyable occasion, but it fell well below the standard we expect when dining out, particularly from a trusted name like Harvester.

Visited Harvester Riverside with my partner and son, and the experience was just down right awful. We waited ages to even be served, and people who arrived after us were getting their food before we’d even placed our order. When the food did come, my rice bowl was stone cold. No effort was made to offer a children’s menu for my son either, which just added to how poorly we were treated. The service was slow, disorganised and gave the impression they just didn’t care. Won’t be returning.

Pop in today for lunch. And was very disappointed. Service was very slow we sat down for ages without anyone taking our drink order we had to call a waitress over just to place an order after we got fed up of waiting. Then after half an hour more waiting the food finally come and everything was over cooked to the point it was burned. We ordered 1 ribeye steak (my wife is pregnant so she ask for it to be well done) it wasn’t well done it was charcoal, I ordered rack of rib and it’s was over cooked and dry. They even manage to over cook the kid fish finger my daughter ordered, god knows how. Told the staff when I was asked if everything was ok and her response was ohh ok.

Came in for lunch, amazing food and service was nice and quick. Grace did a great job and my waitress getting my food and drinks with a smile

Didn't even get through the door, apparently there were too many of us to seat, most of the food was missing off then menu. Wr clearly weren't welcome, thank the server kept saying she didn't have items till she got to 1 to make us leave

We made our order and were going to the salad bar but all our bowls were dirty and we had to ask for fresh ones, the food was not great, we ordered a steak and only half of it was edible, we ordered a pudding which included fresh strawberries but when the pudding arrived not a strawberry was to be found, asked for a salmon rice bowl but was told there was no salmon, the service was slow even though the restaurant was nearly empty, the toilets were absolutely grim and definitely hadn’t been cleaned recently. Won’t be coming back anytime soon

I was served by Joanna who was welcoming and knowledgeable. I wasn’t sure what to eat and she went through dishes with me and recommended what were most popular and what she personally liked. It was lovely to be greeted by such a friendly and helpful member of staff.

I came in today for breakfast with my children, Ria went out of her way for my childrens fussy requests and helped even when they made a mess. The breakfast was tasty and unlimited coffee was a good price.. would definitely return.

I had a wonderful experience at Harvester today during breakfast, I was served by a young lady Ria and she was more than friendly and helped with my young daughter.. Would recommend, the restaurant is cosy and food was very quick out!

In terms of quality the food is standard Harvester fare. Not the best food you'll ever eat but perfectly acceptable for the prices charged. Availability of rotisserie chicken is a major issue for this branch. Twice in our last three visits there has been no rotisserie chicken available which for a restaurant chain whose menu is predominantly chicken based is not great. This branch can get pretty busy especially at weekends and service tends to suffer as a result and ends up being a little chaotic. We were advised by our server to order any starters to be served with the mains, however both starters ordered ended up being served separately, one 10 minutes after the mains were served and the other another 10 minutes after that.

Michelle was amazing and a great salesperson! She managed to get us to order dessert when we were really not intending to! Had chicken skewers, really nice.

Went today for the Mother’s Day set menu and was really looking forward to it as 3 years prior it was amazing! We were seated and the young girl who served us was lovely and very helpful however was not impressed with the food at all. Wasn’t great at all. I had ordered my 1 year old food off a separate menu and took around 45 minutes for the adults desserts to come. I assume they had been forgotten about as I had to ask a member of staff twice how long it was going to be. We had finished our desserts and my daughter’s fruit bowl still didn’t arrive to the table for at least another 5/10 minutes. As stated I was really looking forward to eating here for food again but left feeling disappointed with the quality of food and the service.

Harvester in riverside Northampton salad bar is great we come regularly for lunch the ladies who serve us are always friendly and polite especially Ruadhan and Leah. Nothing is ever to much for either of them it seems when we go in. Would recommend

We have just had a delightful lunch at the Harvester, Riverside, Northampton. Food was delicious, service was excellent, Baily could not have been more helpful. Food took a little while to come but, that was fair as it was freshly cooked. I would rather wait and have freshly cooked food. Well done Baily and Harvester.

Anita was amazing! She was very attentive and really looked after us during our visit. We will certainly be back as this was an excellent first visit.

Not so impressed with my last visit. 50 minute wait for food. My chicken flatbread was poor and my raspberry lemonade was 50% ice. ☹️

Service was slow - stood for 5 minutes before being seated. Then say down and waited for about 15 minutes before we were even asked if we wanted drinks. When food did come, it was ok - nothing special and I didn't eat it all. Best thing was the toast. For a Saturday mid morning (10.30am), there were 3 people waiting and 1 x more turned about about 11am, which in my opinion and for how long we were kept waiting wasn't enough. We then asked for the bill, waited (again) and had to ask another server again for the bill Won't be rushing to return.

Disgusting food and poor service. Was here valentines day and my husband witnessed one of the chefs drop steak on the floor and put it back on the grill. And then plated it for a custome. NEVER WILL I EAT HERE AGAIN. The salad bar had no bowls it was a horrible experience

Me and my partner went last night and was served my Anita was a great server and the food was amazing.

Waitress was real nice and helpful but waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for food witch was stone cold and wasent verry nice .

The food was nice, but the service was really really disappointing, it took the server ages to come to our table to get our order, the time for the food to come was absolutely fine, my partner ordered desserts , my sons came but we waited half hour and his one didn't turn up, I was then asked a weird question as to whether we were splitting the bill when it was plain to see that we were a family, me, my partner and our son, behind us there were a older couple (grandparents) with a small child and across from us were another 2 couples men and women and when there bills came they were not asked that question. Overall not the best experience I had at that harvester

We had a lovely meal.....food was great. Salad bar was taking a long time to restock so the manager Shanice let us take a salad each home. She is only a young lady but amazing customer service. We will be back soon.

Salad bar was filled while we were getting salad, watching the chefs grill is also great, meal prices have increased over the last couple of years, but we go every year for my sons birthday

35 min from the moment I walked through the door till someone came to ask what I'd like to order. All staff were more interested in having chats by the till than servicing customers. Funny thing this happened at 11am on Wednesday morning, barely anyone was at the restaurant at the time. Food was alright besides the fact that I've ordered medium ribye and god well done. Couldn't be asked to ask for a new one considering how long it takes to get anything done.

Food was cold apart from chips and there were missing items from my order. First time that happened from this restaurant but it was really disappointing.

Had a great meal here with family, it was a big table and we were looked after by Ruadhan who did an amazing job! Thank you so much, we will be back!

We recently dined at the Harvester in a large group of 8. We were served with impeccable service by Anita. Being a large group, it can be quite testing on staff, however Anita was patient with us and ensured anything we requested was well looked after. We booked twice in two weeks since we had a money off voucher. Specifically asked for a booth and they placed us in no problem. Both times Michelle waited on us and she is a credit to the company! Such a lovely lady made us feel really welcomed and comfortable had a laugh with us and was super friendly towards my 1 year old daughter. We go out a fair bit and she stands out as one of the best servers we've had very personable. The food was just as amazing! Massive burgers and a delicious salad bowl it's my favorite place to eat. Very child friendly and a wonderful dining experience.

Despite an issue with one of the meals, our server Anita went above and beyond to create a positive experience for us. Anita ensured our visit was one to remember… she was the talk of the car during our journey home, thank you Anita!

Forgot to book no problem lovely young lady on the door sat us no name ( tattoos ?) And Anita also was friendly & helpful.We actually used to come quite a lot but service and the waiting time had got really bad 😕 But presently surprised today it was steady but little wait between salad and main was just right for us to enjoy a drink.We only ate mains today which was delicious and good portion no room for dessert.But we will come back as service and food was excellent 👌

Visited with the wife on Thursday 2nd January for the Breakfast. The worst i have visited for cleanliness and if i wasnt there to complete my review we would not have even say down down to eat! The glass windows and doors were all smudged and the floors had debris all under the tables and on the seats. For a reputable chain you would expect higher standards (see photographs).Every eating establishment should be cleaning after every service. My wife had to place her coat on a bag to avoid the crumbs on the seats! It was obvious and clear that there are no regular cleaning schedules in place! This is poor management and if the public can see it is dirty then so should the management team. If you walk past this kind of clear dirty areas, then this is your standard and you are not leading or driving the cleanliness of your restaurant. The service was very good, and i have to say the food was tasty. We both went for an English breakfast, which was well cooked and good ingredients. I did complain and received an email back from the assistant manager stating that they would ensure the place was cleaned and introduce a rota for cleaning. All the floors were thick with dust and the salt and pepper pots caked in food waste. Under every table there was dirt! Why was this not already in place? Based on this being the dirtiest restaurant visited so far, i will go back in a few weeks to assess the level of cleanliness and see if they have improved. Guys, hang your heads in shame, because this was not acceptable by anyone`s standards. The whole place requires a deep clean and maintenance. So i have completed a return visit on Saturday 18th January to see how the cleaning was and if it has improved. Sadly i have to report, apart from the windows being cleaned it is still filthy and disgusting. The assistant manager assure me she was introducing a cleaning schedule and rota? This has not happened because there is food debris under every table so blatant lying about cleaning and shame on the management team for allowing this to happen, obviously this is your standard and level. We will not be returning to any Harvester ever!! Worst i have visited. dont go here!! Also not professional for staff to be eating behind the counters as you can see and it wasnt just this girl, there were others!!

Came in for dinner. Had the half chicken, was cooked lovely. Salad bar was clean and fresh. Atmosphere was good. Was served by Paul who was wonderful. Will be coming back again.

Nice food, salad bar could do with a few more choices but overall OK!. Food off the menu was nice abit pricey these days for what it is, but what place isn't. Waiter we had was paul and he was great 👍. Would return in the future.

The cold, the hot and the pink! Went here after going to the riverside with two kids, thinking it would be a quick dinner. Seated quickly and service started attentively, although once the food was ordered was a good 45 minutes before it actually arrived! On an average Saturday night in a not so busy restaurant. Food came, I ordered the triple combo, with one piece being cold, one being hot and the other pink! Sent the food back with the waiter who then sent the manager, who then came over and was unsure how to deal with it who then sent another manager, who then proceeded to tell me, it's all fine is all been checked, although this was barbie pink inside, not even a slight tinge, this was full on pink. Proceeded to talk to me as if I've never cooked or eaten chicken before. I find it ironic, he oversees all this, yet my partners kebab, which was cuts of halloumi and then raw onion, obviously that one slipped through too... They removed it from the bill which was fine, but not the point, the chicken was obviously sub par, yet tried to palm it off as fine.

I never write reviews but I really want to give props to this place, the consistently delicious food and how great the staff always are, especially Zara as she's always friendly and never keeps me waiting on my mixed grill!

We were greeted on arrival with options for seating, no fuss and drinks followed quickly . Waitress was pleasant with a calming demeanor . Our party did not feel any intrusion but cared for at the same time . Only negative was the freezing wind when other customers arrived or departed. Outer door was fixed open !. Fully recommended.
