Harvester Grange Park in Northampton in South Northamptonshire

Party of six dining weekend at 12 for lunch. 5 adults 1 child. Greeted at the door in a friendly manner and shown to our table which we had pre booked. Nice and spacious, and had lots of room. Very quickly we were offered drinks which is excellent as most places can take a while and take both food and drinks orders at the same time. Was nice to look through the menu whilst having a drink. We ordered our food and headed for the salad bar. Unfortunately, someone had forgotten to put the butter out for the rolls, so we had to find someone to get butter. Salad bar area, however, was clean and well presented, and all the food looked fresh. When our mains arrived, they were of good portion sizes. Chips didn't have a normal fresh look, and my peppercorn sauce had split and went cold very quickly. Rump on both our meals was a bit tough, but to be honest, Rump is hit and miss in all venues. The chicken was amazing, succulent with lots of flavour. The vegetarian options were great, and the 2 dishes that came out looked amazing apart from the chips. We ordered desserts as it was mine and mum's birthday that we kept quiet. Wasn't till I got home that I realised that my crushed oreos were missing. Bit disappointed, but to be fair, the dessert was banging and generous portions, so have a break before ordering to fully enjoy. Had a nice expresso to follow and chilled whilst my bro and dad left for the Rugby. Go, Saints.... Charlie was our main server, who got a bit tongue tied at one point but was great and very polite. Check back was a bit on the slow side, hence why I didn't complain about the sauce, etc. Would I go back here again. YES... probably order chicken dishes or vegi next time as they looked the best options, and next time I get a dessert, check the spec. Shame a couple of things lost them a star, but all in all, a good place to take the family for a nice meal.

Was served by a lady called Naomi, don’t normally write reviews much but I have to for this occasion, what an absolutely lovely lady harvester has working for them, she was kind, put our needs first and gave everything she got for us, not often u see this kind of service nowadays but she really made the place feel really safe and comfortable and welcoming, ik this is a lot to say lol but she really is a credit to this place she made our experience absolutely amazing and will definitely be coming back again!! Thank you again Naomi I hope you get the recognition u deserve :)

Service was slow this evening and the food had been left in the window for a long time as food had gone dry and plates were extremely hot.

Food good, when it eventually arrived. Service was slow. Lots of servers rushing about, but little apparent action. 'Bottomless coffee' difficult to get hold of, and not worth waiting for.

Before I could finish my salad my starter came out before I finished my starter my dinner came out felt rushed all night didn't enjoy at all.

Popped in after being disappointed somewhere else nearby. Managed to get us in on a busy Friday night. We had a mixture of steaks and combos, all were cooked perfect and I will definitely be returning.

It took very long to sit as no one was there at entrance. Family before us was so upset that lady had to go in and had to call someone out.. But service by Millie was great..was friendly and also kept checking on is.. thanks to her.

We sat in the bar as our table had increased to 5 and i had only booked for 4 and there was not a table for 5 available. However, that worked in our favour as there were too many noisy children in the restaurant. The staff made us feel welcome and were professional throughout and did more than they needed to seeing we were eating in the bar.

Decent 4/5. Nice staff, free salad and great menu selection. Problem - steak is not well made. It tastes very bad, so bad I cannot physically chew and swallow. Try chicken - amazing chicken!

Oh dear. What has happened to the Harvester build your in breakfast? It's all gone wrong at this particular branch of Harvester and as a result we'll be looking for an alternative breakfast venue. Sorry team Harvester but that's my personal opinion. What we had was eatable, no wait, we had to sendcthe steak back it was in edible/too tough but the rest was average, wr also had to ask for butter with the toast. Bit of a basic bish there guys. Look, it's not awful but it used yo be so much better and that's probably down to head office missives and tinkering about with a menu that was perfectly OK as it was. Booked at this Harvester, as the one nearest us was full. Realised on arrival that I’d accidentally booked for 2, instead of 4. No problem though and the host managed to quickly seat us in a lovely booth. The staff were super attentive, checking if the food was ok, if we needed more drinks etc. Food was fresh and tasty. There was a slight delay on one of the mains, the staff were so apologetic and put a discount on the bill without us even having to ask. All round, great customer service!

Standard Harvester fare . Whilst it’s hard to criticize this restaurant there’s almost not much to recommend it’s covering ? It’s been some time since i visited a Harvester but the majority of my dining was rather bland and uninspiring Halloumi fry’s lacked seasoning as did my burger Both could be improved enormously with some seasonings The free salad was probably the most tasty thing on the menu Ok but could be much better

Another great experience at harvester grange park today. We were served by Grace who was very polite and welcoming and recommended us some desserts. Food was fresh and arrived quickly. Will be visiting again soon :)

I have been to Havester a couple of times recently and both times have been excellent. Staff are nice, friendly and professional and the food was tasty, nicely cooked and good value. Naomi was great, very helpful and deserves a mention.

Have 3 young children so we wanted to go somewhere family friendly (total of 8 of us including a baby). The team here couldn't be friendlier. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. The food was really good and we all had a lovely afternoon out. One of our group didn't like their steak (chewy), but the waitress couldn't be more helpful in rectifying (Ava I think), the rest of us really enjoyed our meals (my kids actually ate all their meals!). We'll definitely be coming back here. Highly recommend for great service and value for money

Decent food, very helpful with it being located right next to the hotel opposite, and very friendly, smiley and attentive staff members.

Staff are very friendly but unfortunately the place had a very bad smell from around the toilet area, the lazy Susan on the table looks like it had never been lifted up to be cleaned,(years of dust and crumbs), but breakfast was the major let down. Items missing on all but one breakfast out of 5. Ps No HP sauce!!. Update! Hi Peter, thanks for your reply. The best Xmas eve dinner ever.... had my mum and kids visiting from South Africa and treated them. But it was more of a treat for me as we had the freshest, tastiest and excellent service from Warren at Grange Park. We ate like Kings and Queens and don't get me started on the pudding/desert.... WOWWEE absolutely 💯 % amazing. We are most definitely going to book every year. THANK YOU ❤️

Hannah was an exceptional waitress. Very friendly, polite and so helpful in making the right decision for our food. She even recommended a starter which originally we had no intention of ordering. Her attention to her customers were fantastic. Even when I heard her serving a table close to us who were very rude towards her requesting meals that were not on the menu. Hannah stayed very calm and professional throughout the conversation(very rare these days) Hannah is a great asset to the restaurant and will definitely come back because of her good service offered to us by her. Well done for training her and look forward to eating here again

My son and I came for Christmas Day dinner. Although my son’s choice of steak and ribs was lovely. My traditional dinner was rather disappointing! For £60 the portion size was measly. No mash, just dry, hardly roasted potatoes and a small serving of cabbage peas and sprouts, maybe served with mash scoop for size. Plenty of Turkey which was the best part of the meal!

I had fish and chips .fish was dry and batter was dry . Service was good nice lady

Pretty good food from a pretty standard Harvester. Good salad bar, hot and reasonably pleasant chicken. Charlotte was a good waitress, and was polite and patient. Recommended.

Food was as you would expect from a family style restaurant. The ribs were cooked to perfection and fell cleanly off the bone. The salad bar was fresh and regularly restocked. Service was good. One of the better harvester restaurants. Unfortunately head office have changed the app for allergies lumping all items together eg tomato soup contains gluten - it doesn't but the bread roll it comes with does. Staff were very helpful and checked ingredients for me. Disabled toilet by bar - radar and key behind bar. Good access just remember to put car registration in tablet by entrance for free parking

Been using this as a lunch venue for some time now and never disappointed. Great service and food. The only area of the restaurant that could desperately do with improvement is the stairs to the restrooms. Very off putting to say the least!

Booked for a Santa's breakfast weeks in advance only to receive a call two weeks before we were due to say it would not be going ahead! An apology was given but no offer of finding me an alternative at another Harvester or anything so now have to find an alternative location, not impressed.

We visited Harvester for dinner last night. I had a Sirloin steak my friend had the bird, surf and turf. They were very nice! Our waitress Ava was amazing! Highly recommend to everyone!

I just wanted to leave a quick note that I had dinner at the harvester in Grange Park end of last week. Food was nice and came out in good time. The service from our waitress Hannah was really good, friendly, efficient and was great with our two voys. All in all a good experience.

My friend and I went to Harvester for a quick lunch today. We both had the chicken flatbread. It was good. The service was exceptional! Eva was very sweet! We'll come again if we're in the area.

Visited after a meeting in nearby Northampton. Maybe because I'm from the North East but Coors lager tasted completely different and frankly awful so Carling it has to be. Food was OK, ordered chicken platter which tasted of garlic (not advertised as such) . Was staying at Holiday Inn next door so yes I would return to Harvester but only if i was staying next door again

Food was absolutely garbage, didn’t match with what I ordered. However our server Frankie was superb so much crap to deal with but shone throughout and dealt with it well, shame on Harvester for allowing young and good employees to face this criticism

Booked a table but when we arrived it wasn't available so we were seated by the kitchen area not really an issue, given menus and decided what we both wanted only to be told there was no chicken available this is at 8.30 on a Saturday night! The salad bar was awful with loads of missing items and empty bowls and spilt food everywhere. The tomatoes were wrinkly and not fresh ,the coleslaw looked a funny grey colour. When our mains arrived they looked like everything had been thrown on the plate and someone had played football with the corn on the cobs . Also a visit to the toilets wasn't the best the carpets up to the toilets looked absolutely filthy like they hadn't been hoovered for days inside the toilets was worse they were filthy with one of the cubicles having excrement or vomit on the floor.
