Harvester Grange Park in Northampton in South Northamptonshire

I've lived in Grange Park for 6 years and this is only the 2nd time I've visited here after bad experiences at other Harvesters in the past. The overall atmosphere is what you'd expect really however the food was really nice and good value for money, but the main reason I've given 5* was the service. Our server Frankie was brilliant. A really lovely girl and great with the kids and even went out of her way to get some colleagues together to sing happy birthday to my wife and boy. I will definitely be returning!

Visited this place on 16th May. Quickly shown to a table and given enough time to check the menu out. Our server was Chris who was very polite and helpful. Food arrived promptly- had the gammon steak which was delicious. We have visited this Harvester on numerous occasions and never had a bad experience. Well worth a visit.

Excellent for allergy advice, great service I would recommend.

Maddy, our waitress was really attentive and worked so hard. It was a busy night and she worked so hard. The food was delish and we’ll definitely be back.

I have been staying in a hotel next to the harvester at Grange Park in Northampton for a few weeks with work and will be for the next few weeks and I have to say I have been in everyday and will continue to do so while I’m here. The service from everyone has been great but I have to mention that I have only left my review due to one member of staff Chris he has always gone above and beyond with his service, personality and banter, makes me feel like I’m in my local while I’m working away

Awesome food as always, the hot honey corn bread is a delight.

We visited yesterday and I wanted to compliment the young lads that work the kitchen, salad refills and restaurant kitchen area (chefs) I was impressed with their funny banter and guest rapport. Hard working but also fun. You are lucky to have these lads. I also noticed the Manager let us have his seat in the corner appreciated. Actually we preferred the bar in the end much quieter We did learn next time to ask for a salad bowl first and don't order until your ready for Dinner or it goes through and comes out quickly before your starter and salad. Next time I'll order separately each course. Appreciated the free parking. Next time I'll come when it's quiet at 3pm. Overall what I expected from Harvester in 2025. Bit of portion control and increased prices. The huge meals of the past are gone. I do recommend only go when you get a good offer. And remember to order separately. For example salad bowl 30 minutes later starter 40 minutes later ordering main course and a drink maybe tap water then 1 hour later pudding.

Do you still offer the 4.99 early bird deal with free salad bar before 5pm

Extensive menu with great veggie options. Portions generous (don't be tempted to supersize the chips!). Very friendly service.

This is the best Harvester I've been to. We regularly come here as a family. The manager is a nice chap and he clearly runs the place in a way that the staff enjoy working there - a rarity these days. Great salad selection and always fresh. I like the new menu and loved the tandoori chicken skewer - please keep It on the menu! The food was delicious and piping hot, no delays. As I alluded to, the staff here are always well organised and friendly - big shout out to Chris today for being pleasant, down to earth and super helpful. The only negative with this Harvester is they designed it without air conditioning. It's too hot to sit inside when it's hot weather. Not sure who made that decision - but anyway besides that the place is absolutely top drawer. Highly recommended.

I met a friend for breakfast and I have to say the service was excellent. Our main waiter was Chris and he was polite, informative, helpful, courteous and funny. Excellent service and a great breakfast. Loads of parking and great facilities.

We were served by Chris who was very friendly and helpful. Food was classic Harvester grub. Salad bar always hits. Prices abit steep for what you get.

We had an excellent meal on a bank holiday evening. Frankie was a superstar- thank you! 🙂

We was made to feel welcome the minute we walked into the restaurant the young lady that served us was very helpful very well spoken an absolute joy..

Popped in after some Easter shopping, served promptly by Fran, we both had 3 course meals, each course came out with only a few minutes wait, all the meals were excellent and plentiful in fact we had to leave some of main meal to leave room for pudding, I had a 12oz Ribeye steak for the main and it was perfect, juicy and full of flavour my compliments to the chef it's the best steak I've had for a long time, the knife sank through it, and the sticky toffee pudding we had left room for was also lovely... 2 x 3 course meals and a couple of pints for just over £60 can't go wrong...

Popped in for dinner as staying in the area. The staff are friendly and know the menu well. All our food came out hot and well presented. The salad bar was a little messy however it was pretty well stocked with a good variety of options. I had 3 small plates which was more than enough. The only disappointment was the corn bread. The place is clean and would go there again when back visiting.

Good location and the service was friendly, however. a little hit and miss even though the restaurant wasn't that busy. Biggest disappointment was the salad bar which was poorly maintained to be honest i.e. no bread, butter, several of the items with hardly anything in them. Had to ask waitress to stock which shouldn't be needed. Apathetic is the only way to describe it.

Asked for steak to be cooked a certain way, came out too under cooked for my liking. Asked for it to be done just a little bit longer, was not expecting it to take ages, took a while then chips and peas were cold, meat not really cooked all that much longer - so only really ate onion rings mushroom and little meat. Asked for steak meal to be the cheaper option on my birthday meal coupon ( knowing it was the expensive meal out of the two but seeing as I hadn’t eaten much) told no, then no offer of reduction either. First time I’ve had a bad experience at harvester..

Prompt service by Zara, who was extremely nice and smiley, the food was very good and we are planning on coming again soon.

Nice atmosphere and well laid out restaurant. Busy but not loud, and the wait time beat the estimated of 50 mins by a long way. We only waited 20 mins for our main course, which was perfect as it gave us enough time to get our Salad first. Our waitress was Maddy and she was brilliant! Really smartly dressed and she was polite, attentive, friendly and chatty. Top service from her!

We are breakfast regulars at the weekend and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The service is always friendly whoever is working and we are very lucky to regularly have Chris as our server. He even remembers our full breakfast order 😀

Went here as we could walk from Holiday Inn Express Northampton South. Food was just what to expect from any Harvester! Unfortunately, hubby said male toilets were really grubby … I didn’t venture into the female ones to find out!

Went here as up this way for Japfest, got served by charlotte she was friendly and when I wasn’t sure on an ingredient she explained what it was. Great service and great food!

Ordered beef tacos was full of salad no meat and loads sauce . Mentioned to waitress and was told it was down to portion sizing . Never going back again . Was a shambles

Superb service from Chris. From the moment we got seated right upto us walking out the door. Table of 5, all fed and watered. Attentive and friendly. Nothing too much for Chris. He’s a credit to the company/restaurant.

Lily, my waitress was polite and courteous. Food was basic, but inexpensive - nothing I would have again. Salad was ok. The establishment looks nice, but is relatively cold inside. You're a bit stuck unless you want to drive out or eat in the hotels, which I guess provides it's main pool of clients.

The food WAS INCREDIBLE!!! So much choice on the menu and everything we had was very tasty, fresh, hot and good size portions. The server was really attentive and friendly. That was honestly one of the best meals out, and best value meals out I've had in a long time!!

After eating here, I got food poisoning. The food hygiene rating for this place is 5*, however, the last inspection was 2 years ago. Please be wary when ordering the Ribs and chicken. To the manager of the store: please thoroughly review the food standards in the kitchen. Poor food preparation has been carried out in the kitchen, and you must resolve it. I’ve never had food poisoning before this, and would only write a review if I felt it would benefit both the business and the public, because nobody should have to be violently ill after paying £45 for two meals and drinks.

Bar staff are excellent, ash and Caitlin get a special mention for trying to put a shamrock on the Guinness, the staff have been fantastic with us as we are contractors that have been here for over 3 weeks and not being the quietist bunch when the Guinness kicks been a very enjoyable stay and will be back if in this area

12 of us for my mums 80th birthday. Staff helpful and friendly. From the complementary salad bar to the desserts the food was all first class.

Visited as a family of 5. Excellent from start to visit. Got seated straight away at a nice spacious round table by the window. Our lovely waitress Caitlin was very efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask. Drinks came quickly. We ordered started mains and enjoyed the salad bar. All food was good. Huge portions struggled to finish. My partner said the steak was cooked to perfection. We will be back 😊

Don’t bother- must say this was one of the worst breakfast I have had for some time. Poached eggs - hard and cold Bacon- burnt and only tasted of charcoal Sausages- cooked one side and not the other Beans & mushrooms- cold Stake- fatty and couldn’t chew it The only thing that was ok was the toast. We wondered why the place was so quiet, then you realise when the food comes out!! The only good thing to say was the young lad serving us was very polite and friendly, so 5 stars to Will. As for the breakfast chef, I couldn’t leave zero stars so we had to leave 1 star which is very generous. We only ended up paying for 1 meal but would rather have a decent meal and pay more.

Popped in after being disappointed somewhere else nearby. Managed to get us in on a busy Friday night. We had a mixture of steaks and combos, all were cooked perfect and I will definitely be returning.

Declining Service is at its all time low. Had to waiting at the waiting area for about 5 mins before I got seated. Restaurant was laterally empty. Lady (Harty or Herty) that came out to seat us eventually, was so rude and condescending. Total disregard for the customer. Just pointed us to the table with a smack on face, didn't tell us who will be serving us etc and walked away to continue her chat. I have frequent Harvesters over the last 20 years and I would say this is the worst experience ever. Big Cheers to our waiter Charlie, he saved the day. He was amazing.

Arrived for Christmas dinner with family told to wait outside after twenty minutes they said the table was ready but had sick all over floor took them further 20 minutes to get a young lad who cleaned it up with no gloves then went straight to the bar to poor drinks. After a hour of waiting finally got a starter to then be wrong for my niece so waiting nearly 15 minutes for a change of soap I’m writing this as I’m sat waiting for my main already absolutely stunned nothing really said about being sorry don’t eat here

Fry up was pretty good though they missed off ingredients. Waffle was way over priced at 7.50 for a single waffle 6 banana slices and a tiny drizzle of chocolate. Very dry. Asked waitress for extra banana and she seemed quite put out. Not the warmest of service. Don’t think we saw her smile once. When paying I did mention that we only got 1 mushroom and half a tomato, she said we should have said something, but to be honest after her reaction to us requesting more banana, decided not to bother. Milk for tea was served in a drinking glass and the bread and butter was put on top of the breakfast and not a side plate. Silly things that don’t normally bother me but added to the overall experience it did on this occasion. Was looking forward to going there, it had been recommended but our experience has put us off. Won’t go back again.

Don't know what to say other than a great place to have a meal, the staff are nice, service is quick, the food is tasty. You could do a lot worse and most of all the price is very reasonable. Thank you for the great service we had yesterday, you showed great flexibility for larger groups, the kitchen also coped well.

Food was nice but very small potions, I had the mixed grill, hand ful of chips, spoonful of peas and 2 quite small onion. our server pleasant and didn't rush us. Atmosphere was a little dull, that might have been due to wher was sitting, felt a little isolated though

We Italians have different eating habits from the English, but I must say that I was satisfied with the food consumed in this place. the mixed grill was very good, the salad buffet was excellent.

We went into the harvester for some tapas and salad - after visiting a number of different restaurants this branch has the BEST salad bar I have seen. Stopped here on our way back up the country for some food breaking up our travels. Can guarantee what a Harvester is like and easy. Had a lovely meal for 4, friendly staff and quick service. However....... at no point were we told about PARKING charges or having the register a vehicle. So we have now got a £100 parking fine come through the post days later. NOT HAPPY.

Burger just okay, chips small portion undercooked and only warm .

Generally good, but please clean the ice machine properly, it’s covered in black mould.
