Harvester Grange Park in Northampton in South Northamptonshire

Popped in after some Easter shopping, served promptly by Fran, we both had 3 course meals, each course came out with only a few minutes wait, all the meals were excellent and plentiful in fact we had to leave some of main meal to leave room for pudding, I had a 12oz Ribeye steak for the main and it was perfect, juicy and full of flavour my compliments to the chef it's the best steak I've had for a long time, the knife sank through it, and the sticky toffee pudding we had left room for was also lovely... 2 x 3 course meals and a couple of pints for just over £60 can't go wrong...

Popped in for dinner as staying in the area. The staff are friendly and know the menu well. All our food came out hot and well presented. The salad bar was a little messy however it was pretty well stocked with a good variety of options. I had 3 small plates which was more than enough. The only disappointment was the corn bread. The place is clean and would go there again when back visiting.

Asked for steak to be cooked a certain way, came out too under cooked for my liking. Asked for it to be done just a little bit longer, was not expecting it to take ages, took a while then chips and peas were cold, meat not really cooked all that much longer - so only really ate onion rings mushroom and little meat. Asked for steak meal to be the cheaper option on my birthday meal coupon ( knowing it was the expensive meal out of the two but seeing as I hadn’t eaten much) told no, then no offer of reduction either. First time I’ve had a bad experience at harvester..

Nice atmosphere and well laid out restaurant. Busy but not loud, and the wait time beat the estimated of 50 mins by a long way. We only waited 20 mins for our main course, which was perfect as it gave us enough time to get our Salad first. Our waitress was Maddy and she was brilliant! Really smartly dressed and she was polite, attentive, friendly and chatty. Top service from her!

Great food and sat around for hours. Easy and relaxed

We are breakfast regulars at the weekend and I wouldn't go anywhere else. The service is always friendly whoever is working and we are very lucky to regularly have Chris as our server. He even remembers our full breakfast order 😀

Went here as up this way for Japfest, got served by charlotte she was friendly and when I wasn’t sure on an ingredient she explained what it was. Great service and great food!

Ordered beef tacos was full of salad no meat and loads sauce . Mentioned to waitress and was told it was down to portion sizing . Never going back again . Was a shambles

Superb service from Chris. From the moment we got seated right upto us walking out the door. Table of 5, all fed and watered. Attentive and friendly. Nothing too much for Chris. He’s a credit to the company/restaurant.

Lily, my waitress was polite and courteous. Food was basic, but inexpensive - nothing I would have again. Salad was ok. The establishment looks nice, but is relatively cold inside. You're a bit stuck unless you want to drive out or eat in the hotels, which I guess provides it's main pool of clients.

The food WAS INCREDIBLE!!! So much choice on the menu and everything we had was very tasty, fresh, hot and good size portions. The server was really attentive and friendly. That was honestly one of the best meals out, and best value meals out I've had in a long time!!

After eating here, I got food poisoning. The food hygiene rating for this place is 5*, however, the last inspection was 2 years ago. Please be wary when ordering the Ribs and chicken. To the manager of the store: please thoroughly review the food standards in the kitchen. Poor food preparation has been carried out in the kitchen, and you must resolve it. I’ve never had food poisoning before this, and would only write a review if I felt it would benefit both the business and the public, because nobody should have to be violently ill after paying £45 for two meals and drinks.

Bar staff are excellent, ash and Caitlin get a special mention for trying to put a shamrock on the Guinness, the staff have been fantastic with us as we are contractors that have been here for over 3 weeks and not being the quietist bunch when the Guinness kicks been a very enjoyable stay and will be back if in this area

12 of us for my mums 80th birthday. Staff helpful and friendly. From the complementary salad bar to the desserts the food was all first class.

Visited as a family of 5. Excellent from start to visit. Got seated straight away at a nice spacious round table by the window. Our lovely waitress Caitlin was very efficient and friendly. Nothing was too much to ask. Drinks came quickly. We ordered started mains and enjoyed the salad bar. All food was good. Huge portions struggled to finish. My partner said the steak was cooked to perfection. We will be back 😊

Don’t bother- must say this was one of the worst breakfast I have had for some time. Poached eggs - hard and cold Bacon- burnt and only tasted of charcoal Sausages- cooked one side and not the other Beans & mushrooms- cold Stake- fatty and couldn’t chew it The only thing that was ok was the toast. We wondered why the place was so quiet, then you realise when the food comes out!! The only good thing to say was the young lad serving us was very polite and friendly, so 5 stars to Will. As for the breakfast chef, I couldn’t leave zero stars so we had to leave 1 star which is very generous. We only ended up paying for 1 meal but would rather have a decent meal and pay more.

Food was ok as was the atmosphere but what made the visit much more enjoyable was the service provided by Serena. Absolutely delightful young lady who was extremely helpful and above all confident and with a great mannerism.

The welcome was friendly, considerate and informative. We were shown to our table and the menu and options were explained. Our waiter was charming, appropriately amusing, and attentive. He was most professional. The new menu is terrific. When the food arrived we were all very satisfied, great food, well presented. We had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Popped in after being disappointed somewhere else nearby. Managed to get us in on a busy Friday night. We had a mixture of steaks and combos, all were cooked perfect and I will definitely be returning.

Declining Service is at its all time low. Had to waiting at the waiting area for about 5 mins before I got seated. Restaurant was laterally empty. Lady (Harty or Herty) that came out to seat us eventually, was so rude and condescending. Total disregard for the customer. Just pointed us to the table with a smack on face, didn't tell us who will be serving us etc and walked away to continue her chat. I have frequent Harvesters over the last 20 years and I would say this is the worst experience ever. Big Cheers to our waiter Charlie, he saved the day. He was amazing.

Lily our server at Grange Park Northampton was so lovely !!!! Nothing was too much and she went over and above to ensure we had a brilliant time !! Give her a promotion asap !!!!!

I never give 5 points, but compared to other restaurants in UK, I can say harvester is one of the most quality once in UK. And grange park one is also perfect service. Thanks.

Arrived for Christmas dinner with family told to wait outside after twenty minutes they said the table was ready but had sick all over floor took them further 20 minutes to get a young lad who cleaned it up with no gloves then went straight to the bar to poor drinks. After a hour of waiting finally got a starter to then be wrong for my niece so waiting nearly 15 minutes for a change of soap I’m writing this as I’m sat waiting for my main already absolutely stunned nothing really said about being sorry don’t eat here

Fry up was pretty good though they missed off ingredients. Waffle was way over priced at 7.50 for a single waffle 6 banana slices and a tiny drizzle of chocolate. Very dry. Asked waitress for extra banana and she seemed quite put out. Not the warmest of service. Don’t think we saw her smile once. When paying I did mention that we only got 1 mushroom and half a tomato, she said we should have said something, but to be honest after her reaction to us requesting more banana, decided not to bother. Milk for tea was served in a drinking glass and the bread and butter was put on top of the breakfast and not a side plate. Silly things that don’t normally bother me but added to the overall experience it did on this occasion. Was looking forward to going there, it had been recommended but our experience has put us off. Won’t go back again.

Don't know what to say other than a great place to have a meal, the staff are nice, service is quick, the food is tasty. You could do a lot worse and most of all the price is very reasonable. Thank you for the great service we had yesterday, you showed great flexibility for larger groups, the kitchen also coped well.

Food was nice but very small potions, I had the mixed grill, hand ful of chips, spoonful of peas and 2 quite small onion. our server pleasant and didn't rush us. Atmosphere was a little dull, that might have been due to wher was sitting, felt a little isolated though

We Italians have different eating habits from the English, but I must say that I was satisfied with the food consumed in this place. the mixed grill was very good, the salad buffet was excellent.

We went into the harvester for some tapas and salad - after visiting a number of different restaurants this branch has the BEST salad bar I have seen. The selection is vast and super tasty and it was all full and very clean. The whole area around the help yourself section was very tidy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thanks all

Had a lovely breakfast Saturday morning, delicious food and amazing service from Fran, really went above and beyond for us!

Stopped here on our way back up the country for some food breaking up our travels. Can guarantee what a Harvester is like and easy. Had a lovely meal for 4, friendly staff and quick service. However....... at no point were we told about PARKING charges or having the register a vehicle. So we have now got a £100 parking fine come through the post days later. NOT HAPPY.

A great 3 course meal for 2 for less than £40! Well cooked and lovely server who looked after us to perfection. Ideal stop off on the way in to London and extremely good value.

The prices have shot up. No more corn on cob. Overbaked potatoes that were cold. Boring vegetables. The best thing is the salad.

Went in Sunday night for a team meeting. Food was lovely and especially quick service. Caitlin’s service was top notch

The staff were lovely. Husband and daughter enjoyed their food, unfortunately my steak was not. Asked for medium rare, got rare but very strange texture. Sent it back. Didn't end up having a main course. The young girl serving us was lovely. I didn't want to cause a fuss. Was refunded the cost of the meal. Could have offered a voucher for a return visit.

I recently visited a Harvester pub that was advertised as family-friendly, but I had a very disappointing experience. While there, a woman walked into the men's toilet, and when I brought it up with the manager, she seemed completely unconcerned. In fact, she claimed it was "absolutely fine." It's shocking to me that a family-oriented establishment would allow such a blatant disregard for privacy and common decency. The toilets should be a safe and private space, and allowing someone of the opposite sex to walk in like that is unacceptable. What's worse is the management's indifferent attitude towards the whole situation, showing a lack of professionalism and concern for customer comfort. If Harvester wants to maintain its reputation as a family-friendly pub, they need to address issues like this seriously, rather than brushing them off. This experience really affected my perception of the place, and I wouldn’t recommend it until they sort out their approach to customer privacy and safety.And to Peter the manager it was a woman who walked into the male toilet not a man stop trying to change your storie you even said it was a woman on the cctv to me in the morning when I came to see you they was alot of witnesses aswel and you said you feel scared to challenge this !!

We came in on a very busy saturday night, we booked in advance and got sat straight away. Our server was caitlin, she was very polite and very caring for our needs, she reccommended the wing n wave combo which was amazing. Very quick service for a saturday night. We will definelty be returning. Thank You!!

They forgot to bring fresh fruit for the child, but it wasn’t bad.

Abysmal place, avoid it if you can. Food is mediocre, we all know its comes cooked frozen, grilled/heated glazed and served. Salad bar is a joke..premade or from Tins opened & drained and put on a bowl. Now to important bit..Service is horse manure at best. Forgive me those 2-3 young & new staff member who were working hard, but the oldies are in there era & zone of there own, probably working 30 mins in there 8 hr shifts ( why would you, when you have youngsters to slog ) ..No customer service, no decency..would be much better to have counter service. This kind of restaurants with this kind of service usually close down in major and decent towns, alas they found a spot , nestled between 2 three star hotels and off M1, So no choice for most punters unless they dig and find some excellent gem 15 mins away..Aka the Telegraph Moulton, or The Artichoke Service doesnt deseve Any stars.. .probably Negative 5

Like so many of these types of restaurants steaks are a big failure. Sorry to say if l had score out of 5 it would get a 1.5 my steak was 5mm thick. I feel the tread in these restaurants is doulbe the price and half the quality, disappointed 😞

Everything was perfect. From walking through the door we were greeted, service was excellent, food was excellent. Certainly not a "whip it quick" place, very relaxing, inviting atmosphere. Ordered 2 rack of ribs, simply salmon, Bird Surf & turf for party of 4. Choice is good, however would have liked to have seen, sea bass or swordfish on the menu, however guess there's not much call for that. Caitlin our server was attentive, relaxed and made us feel welcome. A certain credit to the great team there. Will certainly visit again, hopefully soon!

Easily the best harvester we have ever been to, our lovely waitress (who I think was called naomi) really went above and beyond, all the staff were actually fantastic and the food was spot on as usual!

Huge disappointment. Kitchen staff clearly don't care about the food they put out. Either that or they're working on a very strict and uninspired cooking method. Food was either totally and utterly bland, relying on their small range of boring sauces, or it was overdone to the point of being inedible. Sent back two meals immediately, massively overcooked pizza was rock hard. Don't bother. We just spent £60 on absolutely boring meals propped up by a dull salad bar and overpriced, entirely sugar free 'bottomless' drinks. Miserable. Never again.

Plenty of parking which always helps. Remember to register your vehicle when you enter though. Good was cooked lovely with a good variety of options being available. Attentive staff without making us feel rushed.
