Very nice meal, nice relaxed atmosphere. Grace was very, very helpful.

Our waitress was very friendly and chatty. Service excellent 👌.

All of our meals were really nice, the salad bar was all nice and fresh, the waitress was very nice and polite, The toddler we had with us had made quite a bit of mess on the floor which we offered to clean up before leaving, but she said she would do it, definitely visit here again

Went here due to it being close to the hotel I’m staying in. Service was very unenthusiastic and to be honest a little rude. Asking questions and just no answer from the lad at the bar. Food was nice though although starter was served with no cutlery… when the main came still none so I asked and you had to get it yourself. Would have been nice to be informed about this but with no conversation possible at the bar when ordering I guess that was a long shot at best. It was ok but I wouldn’t likely go back to harvester based on this as I like good service and I can find it in most other places.

Excellent service, staff are superb and meals well presented, good quality and fairly priced.

The food came promptly, the quality was very good but we had to ask several times for the bill. The atmosphere was OK, just very generic for a Harvester and nothing special about it.

I'm not used to a harvester. I arrived to find everyone busy on phones. Asked about food at the bar to be told no problem, no menus available. I was told to go to the front door and order. Food delivered without cutlery or napkins, bod was back behind the bar so I found a table stacked with napkins and helped myself. Didn't have my first order so swapped for something else after payment. I can imagine if I was in the restaurant side it would be quite a different experience. I hope

A little dirty and run down. Waiter failed to listen and bring me the correct order. And didn't know key info about the menu. Possibly just new but could have offered to check. Also over zealous asking if I was finished when I had knife and fork in hand putting food in my mouth. Very pleasant person but doesn't have the knack for the job.

Salad bar was sad and small, rolls were stale. Kids chicken was grey and dry. Rotisserie chicken was nice and moist but ribs had hardly any meat on them. The new corn bread is disgusting, wrong taste and texture and oily. Server was rude and not at all friendly and service was ridiculously slow especially considering there was a maximum of 5 tables seated. Really really disappointing

Excellent would recommend and with young children. Emma our waitress was excellent has a lovely smile and welcoming way with both adults and children. She's a credit to your business.

Brilliant food, brilliant service.

We meet up with friends here about once a month as it is half way house initially. The food is fine for all four of us. We all have varying tastes but can always find something that is suitable for us all. The prices are good and there are regular special offers. We all live the help yourself salad bar. Sadly however, the doors are about to close . It appears that it is going to become a steakhouse. Think we are able to get one more visit in , then that will be the last. We don’t like steakhouses.

Well 11 months later we go back ..... atmosphere great, food amazing, and outstanding service. Last time we went we felt rushed ..... this time it was chilled and relaxed seemed no rush nice gap between coarses. Food as said absolutely amazing ..... defo going back .... and soon ...

Really lovely place, with wood fire on entrance, very homely. Was served by Tehya, really bubbly and friendly, could not have been more helpful. Food was really good, and good sized portions, free salad cart was an added bonus. Will definitely be returning and would happily recommend.

Excellent service as always! I had the simply chicken and my partner had the dirty bird burger. Was cooked to perfection and both meals were very tasty. The macaroni cheese was not greasy and you could really taste the cheese without it being too overpowering. A big thank you to Courtney, she always makes us feel so welcome, her customer service is amazing, and makes our experience so much more enjoyable going above and beyond! Thank you from Jess and Bobby, we will be back again!

It was busy but still very cosy and calm and the service was great. We could see the waiting staff were rushed but they were all so happy and positive and friendly. Standard harvester food cooked well and nice and hot. My son made a kebab out of his chicken burger 🤷‍♂️😁

Staying at a Holiday Inn next door and having just checked in, we booked to eat at 2100 hrs on the Harvester app. When we arrived on time, the member of staff who greeted us was incredulous that we had actually been able to book for 9 pm as the "kitchen closes at 9". He checked with the kitchen that we could be served and showed us to a seat. We felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome and were reluctant to spend money on a rushed meal. We left and I explained to another member of staff that we were leaving and that we didn't feel welcome. We ended up with pie and chips from a local chippy.

Had a lovely meal with brilliant service from Grace. Would definitely come again.

Toilets were disgusting 2 out of 3 had not flushed enough to put you off lunch the place needed a good clean food not bad

Good variety on the menu. Staff were attentive and nice lay out of the restaurant. Had a lot of other families there that created a nice atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. Food was all cooked well and it was good to see the chefs cooking on the grills. It will be a shame when it isn’t a Harvester anymore as it is an ideal family place, rather than the expensive steak restaurant that is going to replace it.

Fantastic meal at the harvester this evening, last minute decision as we couldn't get a table down the road but so glad we didn't. Food was lovely, hot and well presented, very good value too and salad was lovely and fresh. Service was excellent, thank you Gee. We will return.

Everything was good , only downside the fish was overcooked too much. The service was very good and efficient, the waitress was excellent.

I recently went for dinner and here and I was really impressed, I had a young girl as a server named Grace and she was beyond lovely, she was quick to take our order and super smiley. I had a the classic rotisserie chicken and it was delicious

I had an amazing experience in this restaurant with the best host cherelle she went above and beyond for us making sure we had everything we needed she really made us feel welcome and she would definitely be the reason we would come back again. A good restaurant, service is very good and so is the atmosphere. They now have a new menu and it has a lot of better choices.

Geraldine was excellent today, clearly had a number of tables to look after but felt thoroughly looked after. This included completely understanding that it was our lunch hour and so efficiency as well as service was important to us.

As always Geraldine is one of the best staff members at the restaurant, she’s always very polite and takes care with everything, the food is 99% faultless, and when there is an issue it’s solved quickly and efficiently. Once again been a pleasure visiting!

On Thursday, the 2nd of January we had a meal at this establishment and this time it was so so different. This time the food was tasteless. The pineapple on my gammon steak was tiny and I’ve never seen a pineapple look like that before. My daughter had the meal called the dirty one which is a Southern fried chicken in a brioche burger bun. The southern fried chicken was bone dry and the brioche roll was hard with one piece of lettuce. My wife had chicken breast and vegetables and most of the vegetables were left as they were tasteless. The kitchen was opposite where we were sitting and the cooks seem to have plenty of time to be very vocal laughing loudly and giggling and generally not very professional. We could see one cook was constantly touching his face and beard. The room was cold. We sat there with coats on and there was a breeze coming through the wall where the wood cladding was falling off. All in all it was a disaster and we doubt we will be going back.

Such a great place for dinner with family and friends.

delivery was fine. but the food was stone cold. considering the location is 2 mins away, I'm not happy that cold food was given to the delivery driver

Christmas day dinner. Disappointed as part of two meals were left off the plate. Roast potatoes and Sprouts. Informed waitress but no action taken . This meal was such a let down.

Breakfast was excellent, service was abysmal. Went for the Santa breakfast, won't be doing that again.

Great service. Salad bar was a good start. Meal was quick but not pushed on us before we were ready, and pleasant. We ate here on a quiet Sunday evening. Geraldine gave us great friendly service and brightened up the dark winter evening with her friendly chat and help to order.

Seriously! Never ordering from here again! No bun with 1 burger, how someone made this and didn't realise is beyond me! No sauce on either of the burgers, bacon added at additional cost but not added to burger, gravy and pig in blanket missing and food was almost cold (restaurant is less than 5 mins away). oh and no free salad but we've never been lucky enough to get this before anyway, so that was expected.

Never got to try the food as they had stoped serving well before their closing time. Understand that they have to close the kitchen but the staff saw us come in and then hid or pretended not to see us. After being ignored for ages we asked if they were closed. Awful way to treat customers, we got the point and never went back even though we were stopping locally

From the minute we stepped into the restaurant to the time we left, we were looked after by the amazing Grace. Our son has autism, high anxiety and tourettes, he struggles to feel comfortable in some restaurants but Harvester Alwalton is his favourite. Grace and the team have always accommodated our needs and made our family's experience eating out an enjoyable one. Excellent service and we will be back 👍

I would like to give this place more than 5 stars if that were possible. The service on this visit was absolutely amazing. Our server was so friendly and efficient with a great sense of humour from the moment we came through the door to the moment we left. Every member of staff was so friendly. Our food was perfectly cooked. My partner and I both went for the belly pork, which was absolutely delicious. Great portion size (Even had to force myself to have a desert ....) Congratulations to the management team and company for having such a great restaurant and such a great team in place a perfect combination. So well done to the kitchen staff and serving team. If you are at the location with Evie as your server, then you are on track for a great visit.

Not a pleasant meal,fish and chips,the 'cod' was not cod and not very pleasant. The menu does not have a very good choice,too Americana.The chicken on my partners pasta looked as if it might have been road kill,and very small.

Have not been in the Harvester for a while. Seated quickly, greeted by Tehya with a smile and took our order quickly. Food was very tasty and did not wait long at all. Tehya was a delight to be served by.

driver couldn't figure out where I was but anyway the food was great isn't fault it other than the size of chicken was tiny but other then that all good

First time in for probably 12 months as a last minute date night. Booked table online, no issue. Ordered the 1948 and chicken was lovely and moist, and ribs great too. Also chips dipped in the gravy topped it off. Service by Tehya brilliant. Won’t be waiting another 12 months to return.

Wasn’t nice at all got our order wrong so had to wait 40/45 for a fresh one and steak was raw and not cooked how asked service was shocking not coming back

No complaints here. Service and Geraldine was absolutely flying about... Cleaning then bringing food out and then taking payment..... It did look like a bit much for the staff but they did a good job. Food was very good, my peri peri chicken skewers were very good, not too spicy but extremely filling. Chips were decent too which makes a change these days. The skewers had peppers and white onions on and had a bit of a crunch. The salad bar beforehand was fresh and varied in choice but the bread rolls are certainly not what they use to serve in a Harvester... I remember they were always warm and so fresh in taste.... These were not. Overall very good and I wouldn't hesitate to return... Good value for money too.

Place is filthy, mens toilet shocking,food all over the floor and food not very hot.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the service but the food was so sub par, for the cost you get next to nothing and it's really poor quality. Hate complaining about food but that was a genuine waste of 40 pounds.

We had an enjoyable breakfast and coffee. Service was fine although we were warned we would have a little wait for breakfast as they had received a large order just prior to us arriving. The atmosphere on a dank, misty October morning with only us eating in the dining area was a bit flat but that wasn't particularly the fault of the restaurant.

The waitress was superb, can’t remember her name but she was running around everywhere accommodating all her customers. We sat in the top part of the restaurant where you enter and to the left. She was non stop attending tables. The food was good, I had rack of ribs. The downside was the salad bar, looking very tired with empty trays.

We recently had a team meal at Harvester, and it was a fantastic experience, thanks in large part to our wonderful waitress, Geraldine. From the moment we arrived, she made us feel welcome with her warm and friendly demeanor. Geraldine was attentive throughout the lunch, making sure our drinks were topped up and that everyone’s order was just right. The food itself was excellent, with a wide variety of choices to suit all tastes. The salad bar was fresh and well-stocked, and our mains arrived promptly and perfectly cooked. Geraldine handled our large group with ease, keeping things organized and ensuring that even special requests were accommodated without any issues. Her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on, and her upbeat attitude really added to the overall atmosphere of the meal. We all left feeling very well looked after and thoroughly satisfied. Overall, a big thank you to Geraldine and the team at Harvester for making our team meal such a positive experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

Pretty disappointed with the order. Instead of showing the half chicken wasn’t available they let me order it, then called me stating it’s unavailable. So instead I got fries and three southern fried chicken. I paid £18 odd and didn’t even get my money’s worth. I understand paying more for half a chicken because of the size. But for what I got it wasn’t £18 worth. Might as well order from KFC for less money. Pretty disorganised with availability and puts me off ordering from here again.
