The food that was cooked by Neil was very delicious and the service from Inês was absolutely spot on, the orders were done very well and to our preferences.

Fabulous place Neil the chef is top notch and Katrina couldn't be more attentive. Will deffo return. All staff polite and smart.

As usual Excellent. My wife and I and our two grandchildren had breakfast and as usual, food and service was excellent. The waitress (Martina) and (Chelsea) were and are a credit to this Company. Both were quite busy yet still had time for servicing our table. Nothing was any bother to them. Missed seeing Jack? Who is always a pleasure to chat to. Thanks again from Chris and joy.

I've been coming here with my friend for lunch for a while now, and it’s always a great experience. We've tried other spots in the area, but we keep returning because of the friendly, welcoming staff and consistently good food. The menu offers a wide variety of options, including healthy choices, and we especially love the unlimited fresh salad bar. The space is spacious and comfortable, so you never feel crowded, with quieter areas available if you prefer. Parking is also convenient. Overall, it's a fantastic spot with excellent food and service.

Very good food and pleasant service. We visited the restaurant twice on vacation. We had excellent roast ribs, skewers, chicken and fish and chips. A salad from the salad bar can also be added to the meal.

Breakfast was amazing as usual, service was quick. Martina was lovely and always came to check on us to make sure we had everything we needed!

Came out for a family meal for new year, the service and food was top class. Liam our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, and nothing was any bother. The food was all piping hot and tasty, great portion sizes as well. Hats off to the chef Neil. We will definitely return soon.

Quiet atmosphere, quick service, Madison served me, very professional and polite, Halloween so she had her spooky makeup on and looked amazing! Michelle was my chef and the half chicken was amazing, also hot honey cornbread was very good although quite sweet. Will definitely return again

My wife and I and our 16 month old grandson booked a table for 09:00 for breakfast. The guy who was on and the girl were excellent employees. They couldn’t have done more for us. So attentive and the waitress playing peekaboo with our Grandson. Breakfast was fresh, hot and delicious. Grandson’s porridge was walloped over the throat. The pair on this morning 23/10/24 @ 09:00 were a credit to the Company

Popped in for a coffee initially after a walk and decided to stay for lunch, lots of healthy options and alternatives. Ellie was very accommodating and friendly and quickly asked about any allergies, food was fresh and very good quality, service was quick.

The Harvester in Halbeath is our "go to" place to eat for good food at a good price. Service is always great. Tonight our server was Ines and our chef was Michelle. 10/10 to both. We'll see you again soon. xx

The Harvester Dunfermline, is our go to restaurant before a holiday. Today’s service by Liam was excellent, we were seated and served promptly, asked about food allergies etc. The food was delicious. Liam is a credit to this restaurant. He made sure all the customers had excellent service. We love eating here

Great experience. Had Hannah as our server, really friendly and despite many tables coming at once, she took our order promptly. The lady who sat us gave us a choice of table and was also really friendly. The man who brought our food out couldn’t have been more helpful. Food tasted really nice! Overall a great experience.

Went a few days ago, booked on line everything OK. Meal was lovely but I got my order mixed up I thought I ordered original combo however I got a triple combo. The food was too spicy for me. When the waitress her name was tasha came to see if everything was OK I told her.no bother she said it get you ribs put on right away. And not too long after out she came with them, nothing was too much bother really made our night. All staff were very pleasant. Will be coming again soon.t

Just been in for our monthly breakfast visit and as always staff were amazing. They accomodate me each time with a comfy couch being disabled it makes things a lot lot easier. The service is absolutly on point not to pushy and very very friendly. Liam has gotten so used to my order he inputs it without asking me what i want as i always order the same thing chicken bacon and waffles breakfast with the waffles substitued for pancakes and without syrup. Today was soooooooooooo juicy and the chicken fell to pieces with just the touch of a knife, the hash browns i ordered to go along with it were delicious i have never found another play who can make hash browns and they dont taste oily except here in harvest halbeath. Visited here with family to celebrate gran's birthday and was not disappointed! Staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive, Tasha and Jason were fantastic. Food was delicious, all meals arrived at the same time with hardly any wait time. Highly recommend!

Was in the other day for lunch and was served by Tasha, Her service was great and the food was lovely! Tasha helped out with the covid restrictions and made us feel at ease about them! Will visit again!

Came here on Monday with a group of friends and what a delight it was. Rebecca was our server and she was so attentive and lovely to speak too she is a credit to the team as nothing was too much trouble for her even though you could see she was busy, she made it a lovely night to end our day. The food was fanstastic - the brisket was to die for, and the Sunday’s - oh my these were huge but delicious. Will definitely be back.

Not much to say about this place other than the waiting staff were very attentive and friendly. Big menus with limited selection. Quite dark and dingy. Although Covid protocols were OK, I often wonder why they place people relatively close together when there are tables sitting empty.

We visited Harvester for lunch and had a lovely meal. Our server Liam was brilliant and made sure we had the best service whilst still seeing to other tables. Very please and will be back again soon!

Had a great experience today, out with my husband for the first time since lockdown. Liam was our server and he was great! Very chatty but professional. A credit to the company!

We were finally able to go out for breakfast with restaurants just opening this week! It was great to be able to safely to this with friends, Harvester have put in good safety measures. All table service at the moment and our server Martina was very attentive and looked after us well, as did all staff on shift. Food was delicious! Service was good and speedy, great trip all round ☺️

Went along today for Christmas lunch with my sister meal was superb as always normally go with The express group and never had a bad thing to say great atmosphere and we was served by a very lovely chap named Liam couldn’t fault him very polite and even tho he had other tables to see too still made time to make sure everything was ok with our meal couldn’t have asked for a better waiter and couldn’t have asked for a better meal definitely recommend one of my favourite places to eat out even tho I don’t do it often

Liam was our server and treated myself and my elderly grandma with the upmost respect and patience. Had such a nice manner and it created such a lovely atmosphere. This was my second visit recently, Tash and Liam made me want to return. Thank yous again

Had lunch here today and was served by Martina, who was absolutely lovely and friendly and attentive ! Felt very welcome, even though it got busy she was still very calm and didn’t forget about us haha. We had the rump steak and a steak sandwich which were both delicious and the gravy was v tasty xx thank you :)

Absolutely outstanding service from the team as always, but a special mention to Jason. Not only was he an attentive waitor but after overhearing us talking about how we were celebrating our anniversary Jason organised a complimentary dessert to make our evening that little more special. Such a kind and unexpected gesture and was greatly appreciated.

I came here for breakfast the other day and it was lovely. The staff were so welcoming and friendly (I was served by Jason) which made it all the more enjoyable. I highly recommend the veggie breakfast! Great food, great service, great prices. Will definitely return.

Having been served by Martina, found this to be an excellent lunch, working under the constraints of covid climate had a good sound knowledge of keeping both staff and diners safe with minimal disruption to the diner. Well done.

Had the chicken, bacon and waffles with maple syrup. It was reminiscent of times I’ve had it in florida! Absolutely delicious and with a side of chips just tops the meal off. Hubby had the katsu chicken- looked like a smallish portion but was more than filling- would be good with a portion of chips on the side or even a mini naan. Liam did a great job as a server, welcoming, informative and friendly. No photos as we were starving!

We visited here 4 times and 3 times it was excellent. The food was excellent and the service brilliant. I note this was for lunch. The 4th time was for dinner and felt at 5pm the staff wasnt interested and the portions was substantial all less than lunchtime for the same cost. Left me disappointed.

So disappointed.booked a table for 4 and on arrival was taken to a table and ordered drinks .no drinks menu but took guesses what would be available.opted for bottomless.went to order food when drinks had been served and at this point if we didnt already have drinks we would have left.tried to order rotisserie to be told it takes 2 hours to cook so not available.second option was surf and turfYet again not available as rump steak is unavailable for a whileAt this point she realised she had seated us and forgot to mention steak and rotisserie not available.ok so asked if i could have the chicken and prawns minus steak,not possible.ok so opted for fish and chips.worst mistake as batter was so over done it shattered when cut into.the little bit of fish left inside batter was so dry and i assume disintegrated.the potato skins starter was obviously re heated as cheese was rubber and inedible.ordered refills on 3 drinks and 20 minutes later still none and we were overheard when said would ask where they were and she came back with 2 of them .shocking service and prices are not cheap for the quality of food .definately wont be back and a shame as would have been every week as just moved into area and it was recommended.

We visited the restaurant for the first time since lockdown .We booked ahead and were impressed with the safety precautions .The service was a bit slow and it was obvious there were not enough staff on .The young lad meeting and greeting was also serving and seeing to the salad bar which meant a wee queue forming with arrivals . He is certainly worth his weight in gold as was seeing to everyone . It is a good menu but we decided to try a couple of items we would not normally have ordered. My partner took the Salmon and dill fishcakes which tasted of Dill and nothing else and I took the Steak on a brioche Bun which was pretty tough but I worked my way through it. These looked sensational when they came to our table but did not come up to our expectations

The staff were friendly & very helpful, in light of the current coronavirus. The restaurant felt safe and well planned to comply with Government restrictions. The menu had a good selection and we were never rushed when choosing our meals etc. Service was good, we ate there every evening of our stay as well as a breakfast treat & we will definitely return should we be in the area again. The atmosphere in the Harvester felt awful. As I approached the salad bar with a member of staff I was told off for being a few inches outside the circle whilst ordering my salad (with my mask on!) i did say that this seemed fine as I would be moving away in a few seconds" As on so many occasions that I have frequented this restaurant there are so many choices listed on the menu that are apparently "not available" when asked for. As it was tonight, the usual response when ordering chicken was that "the rotisserie isn't working" In the past, it has been my unfortunate experience and I have been told - that "rice is not available", "ice-cream is not available" and even "long grain rice is not available" for some dishes!Whilst visiting the Harvester last week (early September 2020) we were told that next week from the 14th September they were doing 25% off their main meals so I decided to go with my partner to enjoy this discount. We ordered the food and also drinks and were offered waitress service at the salad bar (which was very abrasive). As previously mentioned, the attitude of the staff was in my opinion was very clinical in its approach and did not appear at all friendly. We sat for at least 20 minutes after finishing out meal with our dirty plates in front of us before they were cleared away and were not offered coffees, deserts or any more food. My partner asked for the bill which was the full price, bearing in mind that we had previously been told that tonight was 25% off the meals and soft drinks. At no point during our 1 and three quarter hour visit to the restaurant were we ever informed that we needed an app in order to get the 25% off that we were promised on our previous visit, I feel that this is discriminating and doesn't take into account that diners are not informed in advance that the only way they will get the discount is to have downloaded the app! How convenient is this for the restaurant to avoid giving the discount to all their clientele by not giving our this information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2the rotisserie

Came for food with my family during the 50% off and it didn’t disappoint food was lovely and hot, well presented and the staff was excellent!!! COVID measures are perfectly in place for our safety. Would definitely recommend and will be returning soon!!

Staying overnight locally we decided to try this place for evening meal and were so pleased we returned for breakfast. The staff were wonderful and totally in control in the present situation. A big thank you and I hope they get the compliments they deserve passed on to them..

Table pre-booked but menu items very limited. About 70 percent of the menu had sold out probably due to the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. Appeared to be very short staffed and unable to cope to clear up the tables let alone keep them clean. Staff not wearing masks here, no temperature checks are done at the door, social distancing very poor and I’ve very little confidence that cleaning is actually being done properly here due to short staffing issues. Would not be surprised if a COVID outbreak happens from this restaurant. Waited ages for our drinks and about a hour for our food, which I think is due to being under staffed. On saying that when the food came, it was served piping hot and tasted good. But I don’t feel confident to return here anytime soon. Think I’ll avoid coming here unless an immediate improvement is done by management.

The food was the best, serving staff were the best. Always are.I don't get why businesses wouldn't have their serving staff wearing masks to gain customer confidence during a pandemic. Why wait to be forced to by the Government on Friday? The fact the serving staff weren't wearing masks ruined it for me and made me uncomfortable during my visit.My favourite place to eat in Dunfermline, but the fact it's a 1-meter distance and the lack of masks by staff and many Customers, I won't be back until we're not in a pandemic.

Good gosh! Where do I start! Dirty, smelly and unclean place. Hardly anything left on the menu to order. About 2 staff running around a large number of customers, clearly understaffed.The gammon steak was over cooked. The best part was exiting the door way.Never be back here again.

On our shopping trip to Homebase we dropped in here for a bite to eat. As usual at time of writing covid rules were in force. Although we hadn't pre-booked a table we were lucky enough to be taken to one. Again as in other places you had to register yourself. We ordered chicken burgers and drinks. It was table service only and we were escorted to the salad bar prior to the meal being brought to the table. Food and drinks were ok. The server at our table was polite, prompt and well presented. No masks were needed whilst inside the restaurant. We paid for the meal at the table. If you are in a large group best to pre- book.

We went for a family lunch here. Food was not great at all. Partner and I had mixed grills- steak was cooked as ordered but the quality of the cut was terrible. Gammon was very dry and not nice. Fried egg was overcooked. Overall a large portion but just not worth the money quality wise. Daughter asked for the chicken wrap without avocado but it came with it on it. Best part of the meal was the free salad bar which still was bland. When the waitress cleared the table I mentioned about the poor quality of mixed grill but she didnt even apologise or anything. Worse £52 I've spent, unfortunately wont be back.

Today, my Wife and I went to this restaurant.I ordered the Pork Belly and trimmings. The description was that the Pork Belly was slow roasted for 4 hours.First thing that was not good was the presentation of the dish.Next thing and most important the Fat on the Pork Belly was difficult to cut through and the meat (what there was of it) was very tough. Considering they had given me a steak knife it was a real effort to cut through the fat and especially the meat.Lastly, another waitress lifted my Wife's plate while my Wife was still eating.I must say the veg was okay and our original waitress was okay also. She asked if wanted to speak to the manager. I declined because I really didn't want any put on apology or sympathy from him/her.I will not be back.

Love eating out here. the staff are always warm and friendly and know their regular customers well. Service is very efficient and we are never rushed. Good selection of well cooked food. Always happy to visit this restaurant.

i visited this restaurant with my family this week as my brother is vegetarian and we had heard good things about their veggie and vegan options and boy were we not disappointed! we were served by a young girl called Megan, who was polite, friendly and knew a lot about the menu to help advise us on what to order. would greatly recommend Harvester, Dunfermline.

My daughter and I had the misfortune of eating in this pub a couple of days ago. I ordered a vegetarian moussaka and my daughter had a vegetarian pasta dish. We were served by a young woman who clearly was not a professional waitress. While we were waiting for our main course, we were given bowels and told to help ourselves to the salad bar. I tried but could not find anything that I thought looked fresh. Eventually, I took some grated carrot only to discover that is smelled of mould. When our food arrived, my moussaka was cold, and we found a piece of plastic in my daughters’ dish. When we reported it to the waitress, she told us that would report it to the manager. A few minutes later, the waitress came back to us and told us that the manager had shouted at everyone in the kitchen. After some time, the manager came and told us that she would have offered us free ice-cream in compensation, but as we already had our coats on that clearly wasn't acceptable to us. Then she said that she could only offer us 20% off the bill in compensation. At no time did any of the staff say that they were sorry for providing us with cold and contaminated food. One more thing the waitress seemed to find my English accent worthy of ridicule as she mimicked how I spoke to another member of staff.

Served by a girl named ellie morrison yesterday who welcomed us to our table , food came quickly and was delicious ! couldn’t fault the Harvester everything was spot on :) and service was great thanks to our waitress

Nice atmosphere, friendly service and excellent food. So good we went back the next night rather than try somewhere else in the area we were visiting. I highly recommend the combo meal with the sweet potato fries it's delicious.

A fantastic afternoon spent with friends at Harvester with what was only meant to be a 30 minute coffee catch up but turned into a meal, chat & drinks.

We went into the harvester for my husbands 65th birthday and had written a booking note to let the restaurant know. We were greeted promptly by Chelsea and taken up to our table where they had put up a banner, balloons and had written a card from all the staff. We were served by Tasha who was lovely and constantly busy. Food was served hot and fresh, salad bar was fully stocked and had lots of variety. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff.

I visited this restaurant this morning with my wee niece and nephew, we come in for Breakfast to be greeted and seated by Chelsea who explained the breakfast bar and how things worked to us. We were then served by Michelle who was very lovely and made us feel very welcome as of Chelsea did too of course. Michelle was very attentive and made sure everything was okay for us. Sam arrived with our meals to which he also made sure we were all good and asked if we would like anything else. I definitely recommend visiting Harvester and I shall be returning. Fantastic Customer service.

This is our family ‘go to’ place, as the food is always good, hot and a reasonably priced, the salad bar is fresh-clean and checked regularly and the service is fab. Always lovely staff who are efficient and friendly and when they get to know you, incredibly kind and caring. It’s local; we can always get parked outside and it’s informal. We had a lovely meal here again this month, reliably hot and well presented and even chatted with the chef for a moment who had come out to temp test the salad and again, friendly. Loads of good offers if you download the App; what’s not to like? It’s perfect for birthdays when the kids are with you and the free refills are a hit with everyone. Thoroughly recommend this place!

When we stay at the Travelodge nearby we have breakfast at Harvester. As usual the staff were brilliant and the food was nice. I was particularly pleased with my veggie breakfast and the fruit salad was surprisingly good quality for a breakfast buffet. The thing that lets this place down is the decor- it really needs a refurb. I hope that someone higher up the chain reads this and gives them the go ahead for a tidy up. The carpet is terrible, walls scuffed and dirty, curtains have holes and the view outside is just weeds in gravel. This place could be booming if it looked better. It puts me off returning.

On a three day visit we came numerous times to eat here, we were served by Callum and rebekka who were extremely good to us, we had a dog that they fussed over and brought water for, they were very friendly and attentive obviously very good at their jobs so a big thank you guys from the family with the wee man and the dog

I rarely leave reviews for restaurants I visit; however, I felt it was justified after I visited today with my wife and our 9 year old son.

It’s not often me and the family (partner and 2 kids) get out altogether for a bite to eat. So we decided on harvester simply because we were in the Dunfermline area and we like the one in Livingston.

My wife and I went to Harvester Halbeath Park on the6th August for lunch.Initially we were ushered to a seat by a girl wearing a white t shirt and black jeans-I assume she had a front of house role as other staff were wearing green outfits-she obviously does not merit this role. The seats we were given were directly opposite the kitchen doors and were not comfortable and as my wife was suffering from a sore back we asked politely if we could move to more comfortable seating. However the girl retorted in an abrupt and brittle manner "yes you can sit there but you can't sit there" and she appeared to be really angry . From this point onwards she proceeded to ignore us and when we were trying to get her attention as we wanted another drink she blanked us although she was standing at the next table taking an order. Therefore I had to go to the bar and order another drink. Another member of staff brought our meal. When we had finished our first course after approximately 20 minutes no one had cleared our plates or brought the dessert we ordered. My wife was feeling uncomfortable and unhappy with the awful service and wanted to leave due to the unbearable atmosphere as the girl kept ignoring us.As a result I paid the bill and the dessert which we never had and left. This is not the experience you expect to have when you visit a well known restaurant and I would like to make sure others are aware of this appalling treatment. Additionally we complained directly to Harvester and still no response therefore if you do need to complain don't expect them to deal with it!
