My favorite bar when in london. Prepared staff is very good at knowing how to indicate the best wines.

We have been coming here for many years when shopping in Selfridges. Its a great place to pop in for a quick drink and some delicious Tapas. The food is always excellent, we had a selection of small dishes and everything was cooked to perfection. The baked Stuffed Mushrooms and Pil Pil Prawns are some of our favourite dishes. Lovely staff, all attentive without being intrusive. A little gem tucked away on ground floor of Selfridges, opposite "The White Company."

Went out with my sister and mum and had a fab time. Lovely, lovely staff, fab food (had the seafood board and a few other bits with champagne) and a great, fun atmosphere. A stark contrast to a certain other bar/restaurant in Selfridges (*cough* Brasserie of Light *cough*). We’ve been a few times over 10+ years and so happy to have such a nice experience again!

Been a customer of Harry Gordons for many years always found good professional service and good food however the last couple of times the service has been abysmal. Good staff have left and the current staff lack customer service skills and are disinterested in their work. Will find somewhere else.

We decided we would like a drink and as this was near the drinks department in selfridges we thought it would be a good place. Sadly we found the service very lacking to the point we felt ignored by the staff. At no point did they make us feel welcome at all.

Met with a friend restaurant manager and quickly offered a table. Very nice choice of menu both food and drink. Ordered a mix of tapas dishes and all were amazing. Best I’ve tasted by far! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back!!

Really nice for a quiet bite and/or drink Nice tapas selection. Goats cheese and the chorizo were both very nice. And the champagne was decent too. Not cheap but didn’t expect it to be. Service was decent

Always worth a visit on a shopping spree in Selfridge's, Be prepared to pay as you always do in Departure Stores. But relaxed bar and does limited snacks .

The staff were so lovely and the meal was fantastic! The visit to this tapas restaurant was a birthday visit for a family member. Once staff knew, one staff member went out of restaurant to go buy a card and write it on behalf of the restaurant which was lovely! The staff ensured everything was good with our meal and overall experience. Because it was quite quiet, the staff chatted to us and made us feel very welcomed and was just a lovely celebration meal.

I love this bar. We always call in and have a glass of champagne when visiting London. It has a really cosy feel to it for saying it is within a department store. The food is beautifully presented and tasty. Would recommend.

On a stop over on route to Brussels we headed into London shopping and as usual ended up in my wife's favourite Selfridges. Visited Harry Gordon's for drinks and snacks and found the service and food was good. Can especially recommend the roasted cauliflower with salsa verde.

This is a nice bar tucked away in the basement of the famous store. It has a good selection of wines, and has some excellent cheese and meats. We enjoy the decor and ambience and we have been here a few times. It's definitely worth a visit and I'd reccomend it if your in the area, I could say it's slightly overpriced for what it is (in our opinion) and the service is sometimes a little cold and unfriendly, so we wouldn't necessarily go out of our way to visit it but if we were around and wanted a rest whilst shopping its definitely a nice place to Have a drink or some food if your feeling peckish.

The perfect place for a cocktail, glass of wine, beer and something light to eat, as a break from shopping, or just because one can. Good selection of single malts, gains and wines. It does get crowded this time of the year.

Per puro caso io e dei miei amici siamo capitati in questo bar un sabato pomeriggio: l'atmosfera e' molto familiare e piacevole, abbiamo preso una birra inglese alla spina davvero buona sotto consiglio di Antonio che ha svolto per noi un servizio impeccabile. Antonio e'ovvaimente italiano, ha scambiato 2 chiacchere con noi, ci ha consigliato le olive e le noccioline con tartufo per stuzzicare - buonissime - e davvero sembrava un angolo di italia nel centro commerciale. La sua simpatia, cortesia, gentilezza, ci fara' ricordare per sempre l'esperienza. Grazie mille per tutto!

Modern quiet setting with very good small bites from a small menu. Wine selection was excellent too.

I usually trying to go to very good pup and test different cocktails. I had a really good experience at Harry Gordon and Florent who is working at bar he really surprised me with his service and his drink. Please try GIN #2 it’s amazing.

Nice break from the heat of Oxford street. Very attentive service, especially from Jason who was lovely. I had the chicken sliders which were a yummy snack.

After being a regular at Harry Gordon’s and enjoying its Mediterranean tapas for a couple of years it changed its menu to what appeared to suit a heavier palate. We revisited recently but unfortunately its current menu is much less appealing us.

Great venue - small but fantastic at the lower level of Selfridges in Oxford St. Excellent choice of sparkling, white, red and cocktails with tapas/small plates. Servers always happy to recommend if you ask. A lot of the wines can be had by glass (small/large), carafe and bottle. Great for both a pit stop during a marathon shopping spree or a by choice visit. I always tend to nip in for a quick couple of glasses of wine with some nibbles. Never disappoints and always look forward to my next visit. Certain recommended.

Hubby and I popped in here, yesterday. We’ve been in at least five times in the last couple of years and enjoyed it every time. The staff are beautifully pleasant and the choice of sharing platters, rustic breads, cheeses, meats and the cocktails and coffee are always delicious without being too heavy. It worked logistically too! I wanted to express that on this occasion there had been a change in the food offerings and the crab lunch was somewhat lacking in crab! We both came away thinking that it was priced too high for the quantity. I will say, the gin and tonic I had was exquisite, but Selfridges, please increase the crab content of the crab platter and we will be made up!

Puedo pasar horas en Selfridges, pero por casualidad estábamos cerca del bar y decidimos parar para tomar una bebida rápida. Es un pequeño oasis tranquilo en un frenesí de compras. Teníamos una copa de champán indulgente que era muy relajante. Vale la pena una visita si estás allí.

Prima wijnbar voor een drankje en hapje tijdens het winkelen. De bar ziet er modern uit, je wordt naar een tafeltje begeleid. Maar dan gaat het mis... er loopt best veel personeel rond, alleen ze zien je niet. Dus duurde best lang voordat we konden bestellen. De wijnkaart is heel uitgebreid, mooie wijnen! De tapaskaart is ook prima... of ik terugkom? Nee dan kiezen we toch voor een andere bar.

Erg fijn om tijdens het winkelen even rustig wat te kunnen drinken. Er staan lekkere wijnen op de kaart, redelijk betaalbaar ook. Tapas zijn eenvoudig maar prima. Voor een ‘bar in een warenhuis’ echt heel prima allemaal. Bediening mag wel wat vriendelijker en ook hier werd je glas direct weggehaald zodra je de laatste slok net had genomen... of ze er op staan te wachten. Bijzonder was dat je £1 als extra donatie op de rekening krijgt ( naast de 12.5% vaste tip).. het gaat niet om het bedrag maar om dat zo standaard op de rekening te zetten.. bijzonder. Leuk om es geprobeerd te hebben maar heb intussen een betere (champagne) bar in het warenhuis gevonden...

Located in the basement at Selfridges, this is a great find. Small menu but great and tasty tapas dishes. Large selection of drinks and a brilliant Bloody Mary. Average prices. Great place for a snack while shopping.

Ideal para una parada rápida entre compras. Tienes que esperar para entrar pero no mucho. La lista de vinos era genial. La tabla de quesos tenía muchas opciones, todas muy agradables. El plato de queso de cabra también fue excelente (aunque mucho ajo!). El servicio fue rápido y la comida llegó rápidamente. Ideal para tapas.

Spotted this whilst in Selfridges with the family, a bit hidden away but perhaps all the better for it. Had a selection of Tapas and some good worldwide craft beers. A good little sanctuary if you ever need to find one..

A bit crouded but really bad service. The waitress knowlegde was low but the wine and food was OK. I will choose another place next time

Enjoyed fresh raw oysters on the half shell with a spectacular Martini. Service was great, ambiance was excellent and the appetizer and drink were spectacular. When shopping in London, go to Selfridge & Co Department store and find your way to Harry,s for a light bite to eat and drink.

Este es un pequeño gran descubrimiento escondido en la planta baja de Selfridges. Vino agradable y selección de cervezas y tapas es dos. £12 por 3 buenos platos tamaño de tapas es un buen precio para dos. Incluso vino viene en botellas de medio (15 libras. 50) o £31 por una botella llena DE NUEVA ZELANDA savignon blanc. Estupenda manera de romper con su tarde de compras. Altamente recomendado.

Detenido mientras compras en West End y este es un buen lugar para comer tapas y bebidas. Patatas con chorizo picante excelente con chiles en escabeche. Las bebidas son bastante caros.

Disfrutamos de tapas y un vidrio de vino o dos delihtful sudafricana. La comida y el vino eran de excelente calidad y el servicio era eficiente y amable. Todo por un precio razonable. Vale la pena romper de sus compras.

Stopped here for a couple of drinks after browsing Selfridges on Friday afternoon. It's not cheap but it was great, friendly, efficient service. The cocktails were fantastic, I recommend the "Mr Selfridge". I would definitely re-visit.

I admit that we didn't actually partake in the food menu, but we chose to close our day of shopping and walking in Harry Gordon's by sampling the cocktail menu.Considering that HG's resides inside Selfridges, I was actually pleasantly surprised by the prices and as such we chose to stay there for a couple of hours sampling and watching other stressed and wanting shoppers go by. The options were varied and notably excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive without being intrusive, offering able advice when needed.A pleasure to have wiled away a couple of hours there to be honest!

Selfridges is a massive store that has always been a London must. I'd say even better than visiting the "other store" in Mayfair.But it is so big, and it is on a street that is so busy that you look for a place of respite. Yes there is a huge dining area upstairs, but it can be full of people and loud. Now this spot by the wine section is another story. Kind of a gastropub/Spanish tapa place. They have incredible draft beers only available there. Mixed drinks and of course wines.You can eat a full meal or just enjoy some appetizers. Seating is very comfortable, and you won't be surrounded. Service is friendly and prompt.I recommend this place many times over! Don't miss it.

Harry's has a wonderful range of wines and a relaxed, wine bar atmosphere despite the fact that it is in a department store. We enjoyed the cheese platters and share plates - the food was of a very high standard. We enjoyed it so much we went back again a few days later. Considering we were only in London for a few days - this says a lot. I'll go back again.

How can bar at selfridges ran out of their own label of rose, selfridges selection rose and make me order some other labels which seems a bit overpriced for selfridges. They said they are labeling the bottles maybe they should relabel their name

Fantastiska drycker och underbar personal! Vi tog charkplanka med rött Malbec Argentina, i glasen. En härlig oas i en stressig omgivning! Här laddade man batterierna innan man gav sig ut på Oxford Street igen!

I would like to give Harry Gordon's Bar five stars but it lost one for inattentive service. Also the cava on the wine list was no longer available and that should have been indicated on the list.However, we found the bar very intimate, a haven of calm in a busy store. My aching feet were only an excuse for us to stop enjoy some bubbles. It was a special occasion. Our barman was very friendly but the same could not be said for some of the other waiting staff. We were not eating here as we had a table booked elsewhere but the food coming from the kitchen looked excellent. Good quality and well presented.

Vi beställde två glas champagne. Helt ok, det enda var att servicen var väldigt långsam. Det tog tid innan vi fick en meny, det tog tid innan vi fick beställa och när vi väl fick varorna bestämde vi oss för att betala direkt.

Popped in here to rest my aching feet & to sip on a cocktail. Wow the cocktail was beautiful red berry fizz I think & my partner's red wine was tasty too! Lovely little atmosphere & the tapas was tasty too

I've visited this place on numerous occasions and have to sing its praises!When shopping gets too much then this place on the lower ground of the department store on Oxford street, is perfect to get a light bite, taps, charcuterie, washed down with some nice wines, cocktails or spirits!Just be careful as time can go quickly once you get here!!Thoroughly recommend!

Perfect spot for a break. Nice Staff good service and small Tapas for the time between lunch and dinner.The food was good, on time small green peppers and a gorgeous aioli with potatoes in chili pepper.The prices are okay for an in selfrideges Bar for that you have real cutterlies and a good napkin. Not the regular cheap ones.Definitely a place to recommend - we will come back.

The title says it all really. One of the best cocktails I've ever had. Accompanied by some great service and some damn good tapas! Staff were really helpful too; asked if there was any chance I could see the recipe for the cocktails and they were more than happy to show!

Taking a break from shopping my wife and I had lunch here whilst on a birthday trip to London. Service is very efficient and food excellent we had a platter accompanied by bread and a portion of Lamb Stefado all of which were excellent.

Niet onmiddellijk verwacht dat er een leuk restaurantje zou zitten in Selfridges. Gezien we na wat rondlopen toch wat honger hadden leek ons dit wel een leuk plekje om te stoppen. De voorgestelde wijnen waren niet goedkoop maar wel heel lekker. Dit in combinatie met een Spaans tapasbordje was perfect. Niet enorm veel plaats maar wel een goeie bediening. Geen aanrader met kinderen.

Enjoyed charcuterie and tapas boards here with carafe of red wine. Obviously these dishes does not require much cooking but still, everything on the boards were tasty quality products. Service was good.

Great little nook in Selfridges to rest up after hours of retail therapy. Order the charcuterie platter to share and the lamb tapas. We had to wait for a table as the seating area is limited but absolutely worth it. Lovely rest for my tired feet...chomping on iberico ham, divine olives accompanied by a glass of bubbly...

My first time here, the bar is located in the basement area, the entrance is slighty hidden but what a great place when you do get inside. They have a nice selection of cocktails which did 'hit the spot', some excellent wines which we accompanied with the charcuterie platter of assorted hams and a bowl of olives, the bar is very busy, the staff are really good and deserved their tip, will certainly return when l am next in Selfridges

We had a great time on a Saturday evening after shopping - tried 4 different cocktails and they were all amazing! The charcuterie board was great too, as well as service. Can't wait to come back!

Looking for somewhere to have a late evening snack and popped into Selfridges. Eateries on every floor but headed to the basement and came across this bar serving tapas. The selection was varied and after a lot of deliberation chose six dishes. They didn't all arrive at once which was nice but they were all lovely particularly the prawns and the lamb cutlets. My friend had the oysters as well for the first time and really enjoyed them. The service was great, thank you Flaminia and so was the wine! Great spot

We stopped by for pre dinner drinks and a quick snack. The atmosphere and surroundings were nice but the service was very slow and we had finished our food before the drinks arrived. We ordered some oysters and they were a bit milky. The drinks were good though.

For a department store this is a very good place to have a nice glas of wine and a few plates of tapas. We went for the meat platter and for £12.00 made for very good value. The wine selection was limited but not too expensive. Very friendly and efficient service. As it is relatively small it has a very relaxed atmosphere and not noisy so one of the few places you can actually have a good conversation. Restaurant keeps to store hours so closes early.

Great little wine bar with snacks at Selfridges. A hidden gem. I think I tried a Rioja and it was good. Nice wait staff. Try a meat plate or share some snacks with friends. Good place to rest and re-fuel before you shop till you drop.

We had a quick Sunday afternoon snack at Harry Gordon's bar and the charcuterie platter was very nice as well as the three tapas we took. Selfridges NZ Sauvignon blanc was really nice and the red wine, Mixed Thing Maple wasn't bad either according to the person who had it. The Espresso, on the other hand, had never been even close to Italy, it was a pure nightmare. So advice to other visitors, stick to the wine, beer, water and avoid the coffee. Fairly quick service, some waiters friendlier than others.

We have frequented this wine bar many time since it opened. However, this time around, disappointing in that we thought that the prices had gone up especially on the food platters with smaller portions than before. Despite this, it is still a great place to relax and enjoy a good glass of wine/champagne

Good thing I found this place to review. This is a wine bar located in the famous Selfridges on the Lower Ground floor. This establishment is right next to the wine area so after day of tired shopping, you can come to the lower ground to have a glass or bottle of wine. After that, you can walk out of the bar straight into the wine section in Seldfridges to buy wines and drink more at home.This establishment has a very good wine list. They are slightly on the more expensive side but it does reflect on the kind of wine they offer so I think they are reasonably priced. As this is mainly a wine bar, the food that comes along with it I felt was just a bit mediocre. I feel that the food there is just to complement the wines so there is nothing to shout about them. All of them are tapas style small plates for you to have when sipping your wine. Definitely come for the wine. Very chilled and relaxed atmostphere.

We stopped here to have a drink and a natter whilst we waited to get our train. Great staff who gave us a lovely table. We decided not to eat as we had finished lunch late but the drinks menu was lovely and I opted for Moonshine Gin and tonic. My sister had a strawberry champagne cocktail - she loved it so much she had another. Very easy just to sit there and watch the world go by and no feeling of being rushed. Would recommend this to anyone as somewhere for a drink whilst shopping

Todo lo que hay en esta tienda es exquisito. También caro, los precios en este lugar parecen fuera de serie, pero también lo es su calidad y consistencia. Altamente recomendable.

I found this little oasis while shopping for a present for my wife on a recent trip to London. Exhausted and parched after wading through the endless sea of make up counters I stumbled across this paradise island.A cheeky Hendricks and tonic sorted me right out and I was able to enjoy a second.Lovely little bar and resturant situated on the lower ground floor. Great menu choices and professional friendly staff.

My mum and I came here the other day, having not been in over a year and my God, I know I will be rushing back! This restaurant is a little hidden gem on the basement floor in Selfridges. The staff are lovely and the tapas is delicious. I highly recommend the oysters with chorizo dressing, the chicken thigh and the charcuterie platter and the tomato crystal bread! Come here!

Shopping has never been high on my priorities, unlike eating! So on a recent trip to Selfridges London I found refuge in Harry Gordons in the lower ground floor.I treated my self to plateful after plateful of some of the best tapas I have had in London all washed down with several large glasses of finos sherry.Shopping but not as you know it!!

We visited the store and met up with friends in this bar on the lower ground floor. We enjoyed a very nice bottle of champagne and some excellent platters were available. A great venue to chill and take a break from shopping - just difficult to go back to the retail therapy!

Ok, Selfridges isn't really hell for me, although I understand that some people absolutely hate shopping, especially in big department stores. I like Selfridges; it's not as pretentious as Fortnums, nowhere near as touristy as Harrods, and just that cut above John Lewis.If you find yourself beat after traipsing 'round the mega-store, then a quite cocktail here offers some welcome respite. No idea about the food; it looked good, but what we needed were G&Ts and Campari sodas. Served in nice glasses. With a smile. Mmm.

Visited Selfridges for the first time ever and stopped here,it was for my birthday and we just wanted a drink.The waiter was very nice and friendly.We ordered champagne and he even asked me I.d,He commented I did not look over 17 nice compliment I'm 25.But really in general I will return its very friendly and that's all you need.The champagne was nice to.

Being regular visitors to Selfridges when we are in town, it was a great little unexpeted stop off at Harry George's for an impromptu lunch. With a fairly limited, but mouthwatering menu, we opted for tapas and sandwiches along with red and white wines from a substantial wine list.....this little gem has something for everyone. If you are ever in Selfridges doing a bit of shopping, it is well worth stepping in to this little gem with lovely, friendly staff in a secluded little secret in the basement of an iconic department store. We will be back!

Wonderful atmosphere, fabulous service, fantastic tapas. I am from New Zealand and was just in awe of the hole selfridges store. My husband and I throughly enjoyed our dining experience at this restaurant. Very tasty Sadine tapa.
