The totally disinterested member of staff behind the till should have been a warning sign that all was unlikely to go well. In fairness the drinks were okay. However, the chocolate chip cookie which we were advised was gluten free, certainly could not have been, based on the subsequent reaction. Also, the same dopey member of staff should really have been clearing cups and plates from tables rather than being attached to her mobile phone.

I WAS TRYING TO FIND MY FRIENDS LOCATION BUT MY PHONE LOST BATTERY AND I CHOSE TO FIND A COFFEE SHOP TO RECHARGE AND TRY TO CONTACT HER. I WAS SERVED WITH A WONDERFUL COFFEE WHILST MY PHONE CHARGED AND I WAS ABLE TO CONTACT MY FRIEND. MEANWHILE THE TWO WONDERFUL YOUNG LADIES SERVING ME HELPED AND GAVE ME DIRECTIONS. A TRULY FRIENDLY AND CARING EXPERIENCE WITH GREAT COFFEE AND SNACKS. FORGET THE OTHER CHAIN COFFEE SHOPS NEARBY AND GO HERE. SO VERY PLEASED I FOUND IT AND WE WILL ALL BE GOING THERE AGAIN. TOP NOTCH SERVICE AND COFFEE. THANK YOU.

Excellent addition to Farnham, was nice to see a H and H here with my two daughters after using Guildford Tesco for so long. Staff are lovely and the building holds so much character

The standards have slipped! Firstly my partner was in the queue when 2 young lads came in. One of the lads walked straight behind the counter and started cooking him and his friend food, he hadn’t washed his hands or anything just boldered in and done what he wanted, I would like to think he works here at least. My partner saw the photo of the porridge and thought that would be nice for breakfast but when it arrived it was in a large mg with a few oats swimming in a puddle of milk. Overall a poor experience. We have had many a nice time in here but today was below par for sure

Coffee great but let down by the tables not cleared and the toilets very dirty. Really shame, staff really lovely especially Molly.

This was a lovely place when it originally opened, but has sadly deteriorated. Service very slow, tables not cleared, with crumbs & bits of food on tables, floor & seating. Overall very unpleasant.

Lovely atmosphere and environment- the cheese on toast and pesto and veg baguette was really nice, also it looked very Christmassy

In a nutshell: Friendly service at the counter. No atmosphere. Tabkes uncleared. Needed a good clean and the loos were filthy. Such a great missed opportunity.

Very disappointing coffees, the espresso was sour (over/under extraction, I can never remember) and the decaf long black was cloudy and way too 'long'

Like others I found this place to be seriously lacking....lacking staff, cleanliness, organisation. I went with my daughter (she called the service "chaotic") and we ordered coffee. I managed to find a small table, the only one not being used by customers or full of used cups and plates. It was dirty and covered in crumbs. Where are the staff?? Clearly severly understaffed, the toilet had not been checked (despite the obligatory form on the door which I assumed should be filled in by the cleaner). This place could be very good with some thought and more effort by the staff. Simply wiping a table and clearing dirty cups, the impression was they didn't care and I am sure they do. Improve or fail I guess.

2 members of staff, one doing all the work one looked like they were on a different planet. Tables were full of used cups and plates, had to ask space cadet to clean them. The toilet (only 1 for whole cafe) was the worst I have ever seen, floor was dirty, not just recent dirty, ingrained grime from months of zero cleaning, toilet paper scatered everywhere, empty cardboard toilet roll inserts scattered around. Sanitary bin overflowing with used sanitary products. Cleaning rota not signed for 3 days, and it looked like it could have been longer since a decent clean. Will never go back.

All the things people have been complaining about this place I find are upsides, the slightly untidy and unkempt feel leaves a lovely atmosphere and the fact they have a small little balcony really made mine and my girlfriends afternoon! Coffee was great , pastries were lovely. Will definitely be a recurring customer

Such a beautiful building and lovely friendly staff. Great coffee and a fantastic food display! You really eat with your eyes here. A wide variety of places to sit all with different ambiences so something for everyone. If you use the loyalty app too then it’s definitely worth it, as it’s more generous that most others with free drinks etc. Despite being very busy, clearly a local favourite, the staff are efficient in serving everyone and consistent in their high quality and personalised approach. Highly recommend!

I have been to the Farnham branch on 3/4 occasions now and its always been great. Sometimes the tables could do with a bit of a scrub rather than a wipe but the staff have always been great. Coffee is good and they offer a few Gluten free bits which does not happen often in a coffee shop.

Pity we didn't read reviews. This place has not been cleaned in months. Floor was disgustingly dirty. It's a Sunday morning and you can tell the vacuum cleaner hadn't been used for days, possibly months but being a place the serves food, you would think that hygiene standards should be high. Not that one would eat off the floor, but to sit here and see the grime, puts me off my coffee! Can't you either wash cups or buy more. Not even that busy and we have paper cups too!

Sadly the cafe is under staffed with long queues at busy times. Today the place was cold with very few tables due to poor layout and few areas to sit. Tables were left uncleared and the place looked unclean. Such a shame as it’s a great location and building but not a great experience.

It’s a beautiful building, but oh, why haven’t they furnished it and put some heating in?! It’s barren and freezing with hardly any comfortable seating. The only redeeming feature is the coffee and cakes.

First visit and initial impression was how shabby it looked, poor decor and a general untidy look. It is such a lovely building it could be so much better, either the owners don't care or they lack imagination. The coffee and cake were OK but not good enough to tempt me back; there are plenty of better places in Farnham.

This is a very atmospheric coffee shop with a great ambience. Coffee is presented well and tastes good. Highly recommended.

First time to this new venue. Total disaster. I ordered a coffee to drink in. No table service, carry your own. I went upstairs to the seating area at the front, not only were at least 1/3 of the tables uncleared from previous clients the remaining ones looked "grubby" at best. I then ventured downstairs to the front area and it was the even worse. I sat on a small sofa sharing with someone who didn't seem to be drinking or eating anything. I had two sips of my coffee and decided I should leave and return to an old faithful venue in the town. It really was a big disappointment. Whoever manages this venue needs to take a good look at the way things are running as Farnham has some fine coffee shops and will not tolerate such a poor performance.

Spend your time and effort making a really nice looking cafe and then unfortunately have it run by people that, I can only assume, have had no training. Sunday lunch time, ordered a regular milk coffee. All good at that point. 20 minutes later I am handed my coffee, people next to me asking for a refund, people complaining everywhere, proper disaster. Not a great way to get a reputation in a cafe laden town like Farnham. Won’t be coming back, especially with the host of other Hipster cafe’s in town. Such a shame as the cinnamon cookies are to die for.

They ran out of mugs so they put the coffee in a take away cup, I asked for it to be replaced and the member of staff reluctantly put the medium coffee into a large mug. Cakes are all exposed by the counter which put me off as people are constantly leaning over them and breathing all over the cakes 🤢. Seating is comfortable which is a plus. Coffee was okay maybe a little on the hot side.

Good coffee here and very good atmosphere. Pleasant service and a splendid range of coffees, teas and cakes
