So... great location, lovely friendly welcome greeting, great tasty sunday roast... then.... we were ghosts... left for 30 minutes before table cleared and dessert menu offered... then nothing.... other tables cleared, other folk served, no one came to take our dessert order despite us being visibly ready to order .... we paid and left!

The views are nice, though it can be hard to find a seat. The place is friendly to animals and really green which is a plus. Acceptable space between tables helping with privacy. It was hard to get our order in and the some of the food was no good. A couple of us got fish and chips and soup which were not good, but I'm told the pizza was acceptable. In my view the prices are on the higher end, maybe undeservedly so, given the service and food standard.

Had a very disappointing meal at this pub last night but thankfully everyone in the party enjoyed the get together. I follow a Plant-Based diet so wanted a bottle of red wine to have with my meal. Unfortunately no Vegan red wine available. There was no starter labelled as Vegan but was told the Soup of the Day which was spiced butternut squash was vegan and it was nice but then served with dairy butter for my bread. The main courses were a real let down. I chose the only vegan option on the menu which was the Potato and Dhal curry. For me a Dhal should be packed with lentils but this was a very watery curry with prob 2x small potatoes cut in half and a handful of lentils. The Naan and poppadoms weren't served with the curry. We had to wait for them. I recognised the small Naan bread they were very similar to the ones at Aldi (Garlic and coriander) and tasted the same. My sons pepperoni pizza was obviously bought from a supermarket prob Aldi again as it had the pin holes in the base. He agreed it tasted like an Aldi pizza which was priced at £14 I believe!! I asked a couple of others about the their meals and they also said it was 'ok' WE weren't expecting fine dining but we did expect proper home cooked food. For dessert there was no Vegan option on the menu so I had to settle for fruit salad which was just a few slices of apple strawberry and orange segments. Don't know what more you can do with a fruit salad but I've had far better choices at other pubs. The waitress service was great though shame about the food. I also emailed the pub a few days before visiting to ask them what vegan options were available and they didn't reply!!

I went here for a family dinner, and with it being an old pub, I had the thought in my head that the food would be fantastic. However this was not the case. The first thing was that on a Saturday night, there was no grill options on the menu, so no burgers, steaks or other typical pub foods, but they did have some nice sounding pizzas, so I opted for one. I had the calamari for starters which was very nice, small serving but nice. Then the pizza came, and I nearly laughed out loud because even without tasting it, you could visually see that it was a frozen store pizza that had just been heated up. I’ve never been to a pub that has sold pizza THIS bad before, and to charge £14 for it is ridiculous. The dough was dry and was the easiest indication of it being store bought frozen pizza. The pepperoni was burnt on top so had little to no flavour, and the cheese was obviously just ok but again was obviously just a frozen pizza. I then tried my dad’s curry with some of the naan bread, and the naan bread is the EXACT one you get from Aldi. It was dry, the coriander was way too pungent and they were cold inside. The other food I had tried was the butternut squash soup, which was very nice, and the dhal curry was also nice. But overall just very poor for what they were charging

Previous comment Edited with hindsight: something of huge note, the upgrade on the beer garden is top notch, and a quick google search will show you how great it has become for any size group… One of the best in Cheshire, winter or summer! And the beer is great too, Ine of the few places I have ever found Veltins on tap.

The Harrington Arms very kindly hosted us for a few hours after our wedding ceremony. They organised a buffet, presecco and space for us to toast and cut our cake. We were really lucky to have wonderful weather so were able to make use of the lovely garden! The staff were all so lovely, supportive and accommodating. We didn't really want to leave for our evening reception! The team were really helpful when we were organising the event and made the whole process super easy. Thank you so much! Our friends and family loved the time we spent there and it was such a perfect part of the day being able to walk to the pub and enjoy a few drinks and yummy food after the wedding ceromony!

Arrived and ordered at the bar with drinks, opted for 2 hot beef sandwiches with gravy which came with chips, also a couple of drinks. Drinks were fine but the food was something else. So disappointing, we had to ask for the table uk be cleaned and it was sprayed then wiped with a beer towel, it was wiped but not cleaned. Chips had a home made look about them but seemed to have been frozen at some point, they looked pale and just not appetising at all - needed a few extra minutes in the fryer, they were awful. The sandwiches were on bread that had been on a hot plate as it wasn’t toasted but the top piece had a toasted feel about it. The gravy was like something out of a packet with a bit of cauliflower and broccoli mixed in. Truly revolting, sadly nobody came back to our table to ask if everything was ok and as there was a 60th birthday in full swing we didn’t feel it was appropriate to complain at the bar.

Finally revisited after a long time & ordered my usual meatballs & my friend had a halloumi baguette. They take card payments now, which they didn't use to pre-pandemic & the waiter was a tad snarky when we asked if they did. Food was served quickly & freshly-made. The meatballs could do with more seasoning & the side salad wasn't the best, but the chips were nice, hot & crisp. Overall, Konak hasn't changed much. It's still a popular place for lunch.
