Happy Dragon in Lancaster

This is the only Chinese takeaway we will use. Before moving to Lancaster we used to drive 16miles round trip )didn't do deliveries to my area)to buy.. Staff are very friendly and very hygiene consideration from handling money. Now living in Lancaster it's by far the best in Lancaster/Morecambe area.

We ordered special chowmein to be delivered and I can honestly say I have never tasted one so bad my wife and mum-in-law aggreed ? It was just as tasteless soggy mess with noodles even the bean sprouts were soggy 🤮🤮 will never order from there again its was absolutely apauling stay well clear.

Salt and pepper chips are just chips with five spice on they were disgusting. BBQ ribs weren't BBQ sauce but something weird. Spring rolls bland as hell and dumplings inedible. Don't buy from here. So overpriced.

While staying in Lancaster at my friend's new apartment, we decided a Chinese takeaway was needed - what with the night out the previous evening and the long walks during the day. We ordered via Just Eat and the food came surprisingly quickly. The four of us tucked into chicken and egg fried rice, beef chow mein, vegetable spring rolls and salt and pepper chicken. My personal favourite was the chicken fried rice dish which was full of intense flavour. The salt and pepper chicken was nice but a little spicy! We were all left content and full after our meal. It was was also reasonably priced which is always a bonus. My only complaint? The order didn't come with any free prawn crackers. Overall, it was very, very lovely. I have had my fair share of Chinese takeaways in Lancaster and I would argue this is the tastiest one.

We eat here regularly definitely best Chinese food in Lancaster highly recommend chicken and cheese rolls and salt and pepper ribs are beautiful. Excellent service lovely people

I have tried several local Chinese restaurants over the years but none have come close to Happy Dragon. The food although slightly more expensive than most is ten times better than the rest. The portions are also much larger than most other Chinese places. Whenever I fancy Chinese, I automatically check that Happy Dragon is open so that I can order from them. The staff are also lovely too & delivery is always extremely resonable even in bad weather - Lancaster is prone to flooding.

I get headaches from every Chinese i eat apart from here! The best in the area.

Our food didnt arrive until an an hour and a half after ordering which was half an hour past the supplied delivery time, when we called the lady said it would be there in ten minutes, we called 15 minutes later and she said 1 minute, it didnt arrive until 5 minutes after that. Wouldnt normally moan but we were treating our kids and this put them way passed their bedtime which caused issues and we also asked them to let us know if it was going to be longer than they suggested so that we could feed the kids something else quickly but instead they lied to us. Credit where it's due however the food wasn't bad.

Food was great as usual. It was indicated that the food was on its way about 10 mins before it was due; which is about the time it takes to get to mine. 20 mins later or so, it was indicated that the food was already delivered. It finally about 10 mins after that the food arrived. Please do not indicate the food has been delivered until it has been given to the customer.

The spring onions and ginger were huge - which makes them unpalatable. The other dish - Mixed Vegetables, is not particularly tasty. Delivery person not very friendly or well-mannered, either.

Their Salt&pepper squid is yumcious...my advice is to try a few of their starters...won ton is all that and abit mote chibese

Parking was tricky to pick up food due to restrictions for residents. Once ordered, food arrived very quickly which was good. The quality was poor though - ribs had a 'mushy' batter on them and just tasted really strongly of vinegar. Won't be back.

Excellent quality food and delivered in an hour - during the World Cup semi final they were probably very busy! Accommodated all my requests r.e allergies too. Delivery man was also super friendly and jolly which was nice.

Food didn't turn up so called restaurant - they had tried to deliver to wrong address. When food eventually delivered, was told it was my fault for not answering phone and that I was lucky they came back. Food was cold and congealed - barely resembled food. Crispy beef was chewy. For a takeaway that charges £1.10 delivery plus an automatic 50p "service charge" this is a joke.

The food came 20 minutes early which was nice. The food its self, special fried rice, salt and pepper chicken and curry sauce, was decent quality. The prawn crackers were terrible especially at a price of £1.80 for something that is usually FREE. Overall decent.

Stir-fry vegetables were horrible! Just bean sprouts and mushrooms in a sauce that looked like a runny stew. No fresh or decent vegetables no broccoli, cauliflower or carrots a pack of frozen mixed veg would be better than what I was given. Egg shell in my pork egg dish, by far the worst thing when eating eggs. Chow mein was nice however. Wouldn’t order again.

I was made to go outside and meet the delivery driver at his car to collect the food. This has never happened before with them so maybe a one off? but for a young woman this didn't feel very safe. Food is always good but me and partner are veggie so you can't really mess up vegetables.

Food was on time, they delivered to the hotel which was good. The chips were about average and the fried rice was quite basic. The food prices aren't cheap for what you get. Personally would expect more for what I paid for the chips/rice and curry meal. The curry was super spicy and quite dry, not really the best but still all okay, we didn't order much so I cannot comment on their Chinese cuisine but I don't know if I would order again if I was in the area again, I may be willing to try their Chinese meals.

I’ve ordered from here a few times but in the future I’ll avoid “busy” nights. I ordered under the premise that the food would be here in an hour, and the restaurant pushed that back to an hour and a half. I gave them the benefit of the doubt because it was a Saturday night but in the end I waited 2 hours for the food - this is not acceptable.

Quick delivery but wow has the food gone downhill recently. Maybe they're too busy, but there's only so much you can handle soggy salt and pepper chips!

I won't order from here again. Items that my husband expects with sweet and sour pork were missing and the fish and chips were inedible. The batter was soggy, the fish didn't taste like fish and how difficult is it to cook chips.

Battered fish was quite soggy and didn’t seem fresh but the salt and pepper chips were lovely. delivery time was spot on and the delivery man was well mannered.

£2 pound delivery charge already in place then an extra 50p service charge then a phone call for an extra pound because it’s morecambe which I didn’t mind but then delivery driver arrives and says £2.... then the food is not as nice as usual and tastes like a deep fried left over from last nights business ..... I don’t leave bad reviews on here before trying to contact the business so please know I rang twice with no answer

Happy Dragon, you're lucky your food is as nice as it is because waiting nearly an hour for a bottle of coke to arrive is a bit much. I'll need to forget this happened before ordering again but I will end up coming back

The delivery woman was so rude over the phone and in person, never been spoken to like that by a delivery person and it was disgusting. Highly recommend avoiding them, especially the woman who delivers the food and calls you on your mobile to have a go for no reason. Awful service never again.

Cantonese style prawns weren't what we expected and were not nice. The spring rolls and prawn toast were soggy. Chow mein was top.

the delivery driver was rude to my parter. also I asked for no fish in main meal and I found multiple prawns so I was unable to eat the meal as I have a severe fish allergy.
