Happy Beans in Wakefield

We have been customers for years. I don't know what's happening but the last 4 deliveries have been so late, tonight 2 hours late. Not good when you order at 6.30 pm and have to be up at 3am for work... Order wrong, hoisin was gravy ! Mixed veg was raw.... Shocking service and food recently and we're finished using you now.

Order was an hour late and instead of chicken curry I received sweet and sour chicken… also chips taste and look like they’ve been refried from day before.

order food a 5.45pm and waited 3 hours and still hasnt turned up tryed phoning then over 80 time with no answer 😑 fuming i have hungry children who qlso should be in bed and now having to cook 😤

I got a takeaway from here via Uber Eats and the driver made me pay in cash on delivery saying my card hadn’t been charged. This was a lie and they took payment on my card aswell. Tried to call the restaurant (Uber Eats wouldn’t help) and was assured a manager would contact me but obviously they didn’t. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I was very disappointed with tonight's meal,I ordered sweet & sour chicken balls with fried rice and it wasn't very nice at all,the chips and rice were over cooked and the chicken was like rubber, won't be ordering from here again as the last one wasn't very nice either,I don't know if they have changed cooks or what as used to be gorgeous food from here

Although we live five miles away this chinese has become our first choise, the food always arrives hot and you can tell they use good quality ingredients. The ribs have more meat on them than some chops I've had and seriously melt in the mouth. A nice selection on an extensive menu we've found them very accommodating if we want this with that or extra whatever, nothing seems to be a problem. We are happy customers.

ordered tonight two mixt grilles no liver no bacon hardly any stake cheap shosage no pees and payed extra for onion rings that where frozen i will not order again.

Food could be better I did not enjoy my meal didn't taste nice at all I would not go back there if you paid me

I went with my son for my family some tea got my children ×2chips , sausage gravy salt and pepper chips, large fried rice and salt and pepper wings , The gravy wasn't Chinese gravy , we asked for salt and pepper chips but got normal ones and also the salt and pepper wings was tasteless and bland , really disappointed

The spare ribs from happy beans are always great, some of the best around. When I ordered to collect though I arrived 15 mins after ordering paid for my food then it only just started getting made. I waited a further 15 mins. Was still nice though, an easy mistake to make. No worries lovely ribs.

Always fantastic food never order anywhere else its cheap but food is always really good and you get plenty of food for your money

Delicious as always!! Always a firm favourite come treat night. Set meal with salt and pepper chicken makes this our only choice for Chinese takeaway. Absolutely faultless on taste, quality and best if all price!

I have ordered from here 4 times in the last 2 months. I am very fussy when it comes to Chinese food. But I can honestly say. Food has been spot on everytime. Plenty of meat in the meals and always delivered hot. I would highly recommend. If there had been 10 stars. They would get a 10/10 from me.

Absolutely amazing food we all really enjoyed our meals

Delivery took about an hour which is what the expected time was but for example jumbo house only take like 20 minutes tops. I ordered chicken and mushroom and there was only 4 bits of chicken in my dish but what I did get was as expected. Overall alright

Usually really happy with these but I had some fried rice missing, tried to call and was asked to wait a second, 5 minutes later I hung up as they had clearly forgot about me and couldn't get through again despite trying for 20 minutes after that.

I will definitely order from here again. Really nice food and very good value. Took a chance with a Mongolian dish and the fried bits were way too over cooked. So would try something else next time.

First order with Happy Beans, and I was a bit worried because Chinese restaurant are rarer in that area, which means lower competition. However, we were absolutely stunned by the quality of the found, the quality of the meat and we had an absolute stunner of an evening. Would definitely reorder again.

Food arrived on time, nevertheless the quality of the food was very poor. Not only the food was lukewarm it was also tasteless. The bag of prawn crackers was turned into crumbs due to it being squashed in the bag. Beef curry, the sauce was very watery and thin. Paid a small tub of hoisin sauce - wasn't in the bag. Overall very dissatisfied customer... Will not be ordering again. I'll stick to magic wok in future (closed today). 🙄

Ordered from here tonight part of order was a chicken and mushrooms dish. on delivery just a tub of mushrooms came so I called them and the insisted I had only asked for mushroom witch I didn’t iv ordered since the day happy bean opened and have always made the same order there attitude on phone was discusting to say were loyal customers who spend between £20-£30 every time we order won’t be ordering again that’s for sure food we did get wasn’t nice at all the place has really gone down hill

Been ordering since happy bean first opened made the same order tonight as I have always done and instead of reciving a chicken & mushroom dish I recived just a tub of mushrooms in sauce phoned them up and told them I it was wrong they then decided to insist I just ordered just mushrooms and wasn’t willing to rectify the problem attitude on phone was totally disgusting to say we’ve been loyal customers for many years always spending between £20 and £30 every time we’ve ordered definatly won’t be ordering again

have ordered from here before and the food was nice the first time, not so great this time around, my dish was tepid by the time I got it home (5 mins away) I collected this time after waiting 2 hours for delivery on our last order and they brought the food out immediately, however as I said it wasn’t overly warm and didn’t taste as nice as the last meal we had. don’t think we will order from here again.

Happy Beans is probably the best Chinese takeaway food I've had, can't fault it.

When choosing a chinese it isn't even a question anymore, happy beans is the best. My friend initially recommended this place and it very quickly became a go to for myself and my family

Bit disappointing. The duck was nice, however, the meat in our main dish left a lot to be desired

Food arrived slightly late. However when opened up the chips were cold along with the crispy chicken meal. Freebies were flat cold . Contacted them and told them to return and collect. Had to go through this site to get a refund. 1st and last time for me

Waited an hour and half for 2 meals in a tray from gappy bean for it to arrive and they are an absolute mess...been tipped upside down curry sauce n gravy all over both tubs hardly any sauce in them and a pool of it in bottom of bag... And I waited an hour and half for this shite...having said that the food was nice and would have gotten it 5 star if delivery driver hadn't ruined it.... Update.. So a few month have passed and I h Don't think it fair that a review is only written after a bad experience. We ordered from happy bean and had very prompt delivery and execution of food upgraded from 3 star to 5

Well what a surprise! Last minute decision to order from here and it was fab! Arrived earlier that stated which is a bonus! Only let down was the satay sauce I found a bit watery but apart from that everything was spot on! We certainly will be ordering again :)

It was delivered very quickly, was very hot and the food was plentiful and tasty and there were lots of freebies included with our order. There was an item missing from our order but this was resolved very quickly and without a problem. Can highly recommend the homemade dumplings - spot on! Will reorder from here!
