Hanover Hotel & McCartneys Bar in Liverpool

Decent room , clean and nice . Big bathroom . Excellent choice for a short stay . Great central location , very good price , nice English breakfast , clean . Yes it can be noisy Friday and Saturday but overall great value for money , really enjoyed my long weekend there . Will return for sure

Didn't use the hotel just the bar

It's a charming local hotel with a pleasant bar on the ground floor. The location within the city center is excellent and it is very reasonably priced. I plan on going back here whenever I need to visit Liverpool.

Visited Liverpool for the pantomime and Christmas Market. Popped in for a drink. The barman was very efficient and friendly. He put great faces on our Guinness. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Prices not too bad.

Another great stay chalked off, such friendly staff who go above and beyond and an excellent free breakfast! Perfect location between train/parking/main tourist hotspots!

This is a budget hotel with no frills. Perfect for an overnight night stay in a great location. Fabulous & friendly staff. McCartneys bar below the hotel was welcoming and the bar serves the best breakfast I’ve ever had, to hotel guests.

Very strange bleach smell in the whole place. You will need to sleep with a window open to be able to breathe. Not all rooms have windows though... Also, very loud but this is to be expected. Awful breakfast

In the heart of Liverpool. Comfortable and clean room. Very friendly and helpful staff. Although there was quite a festive atmosphere outside, you could rest without any problem.

Grand simple, clean rooms. Decent breakfast served to table. Bar closed very early as till software crashed.

Untastey food. Mussels with gralic was very bad taste, not fresh at all.

Absolutely horrible because of the thunderous noise from the pub on the ground floor. The wifi comes and goes, rather it goes more than it comes. Hotel to avoid

Great place and not overly expensive. Lovely staff, you feel your custom is welcomed, and the breakfast is top notch too. Rooms are clean and tidy with a good, hot shower and tea and coffee facilities. You're also right in the city centre and 10 to 15 min walk from everything from the docks to Mathew Street to rail and metro links. Highly recommended

Excellent located on Hanover Street 2 min from Liverpool Central. Less than 10 min walk to every central attraction. Wifi ok. Room has an old smell, but is clean and staff cleans up and ad on every day. Good sleeping comfort. Very good full English breakfast in pub below. Booking on their homepage give you excellent value for your stay. When coming back next time from Norway we definitively stay here again.

Party of 6 friends asked to leave hotel after complaint about breakfast orders being wrong by a very aggressive manageress, had to wait 40 minutes for breakfast to come 3 off the party had a 15 min wait, asked about other 3 25 minutes later, to be told she and her staff were stressed, every order was wrong , and when I complained that my egg was under cooked we were asked to leave there was no customer service at all only wish I had read previous reviews on trip advisor about aggressive manageress and the way she has treated other paying guests

Second stay and as good as ever, basic rooms but clean and comfortable, staff are fantastic and breakfast is amazing. Highly recommend if you want a central location and a great place to stay

No frills rooms(Good price weekdays if you avoid football nights for reasonabley priced rooms which include a great full English Breakfast).Bar/Pub downstairs has a good selection of Competitively priced beers.

recently had a two night stay , & so good all around , friendly staff on reception , room clean & comfy beds ,,, had a twin room at the back of the hotel , & no noise at night ,,, the only fault was , even though the full English breakfast was more than we expected , it would have been much better if it had been hotter ,,, we told the lady on the second day , & yes , it was an improvement , but still not piping hot ,,, no big deal really , just something for the cook / chef , to consider ,,,,

Not bad boozer. just nipped in for a pint and to watch the footy
