I have no words to describe this facility! Food tasted store bought (promised to be home cooked), I was going to book myself, my husband and my three children (all under 10 years old) for Christmas dinner but was shocked to find the price being £55 EACH for adults and £29 for children under 11. Me being a mother of three young children I know myself they all wouldn’t eat a lot so why is their price so shockingly large?! That is more less £200 on a carvery which will be located in a small, out dated, stuffy room room which looks like a 19th century’s school! The music is unbearably loud and it is always the same, it is old school country which I have even found that most of the older customers cannot stand. The staff is poor quality but I believe that many are under aged, the young girls are often seen running around like headless chickens with no help, once or twice I’ve heard management be rude and disrespectful also adding they provided the workers NO HELP! The food can be ok at some parts but like I’ve recently wrote, tastes very branded and not homemade. Once or twice the utensils I’ve seen have had old food stuck to the handles and water stained marks. Going into a restaurant which is meant to be ‘classy’ and ‘well took care of’ I hate to think that the cutlery isn’t being washed correctly. Serious need of inspection needed!

We went to Hanover house on Sunday to check the place out as we were considering booking for Christmas Day. The car very has a good spread although the deserts seem to be frozen and not handmade. The service was extremely poor and slow, we were not asked if we wanted drinks although their was orange cordial on table, table is preset with a knife and fork and spoon that is it, you need to reuse your starter utensils for diner. There only seemed to be one waitress on which would explain why it took so long to clear table between courses. The car very itself was very messy. The tables seem to be very squashed together in hall. I would not recommend

Actually, probably the only place to eat in Coagh! But despite having no opposition this restaurant gives a great meal for a minimum of cash. Three of us went in for lunch, not having booked in advance. Not that this would have mattered as the place was empty when we arrived. It is an old place in a quaint setting- right next to the river (Ballinderry River?). It is also a fairly old building on the edge of Coagh. There is access down to the river and there is a child play area. The food was good but the fried egg tasted slightly greasy - not enough to make it uncomfortable eating. This was more than made up for by the volume of food. The side salad to the Hanover Burger was a meal in itself. In fact, my daughter ordered the prawn salad and was unable to finish it. I have read some bad reviews about the setting, but we found it quite charming. There is a large comfortable dining area. Service was good. The parking area behind the restaurant is more than adequate. My daughter says that she wants to go back with her husband and two kids - so she must have been impressed. Overall a cheap place for a gigantic meal in nice surroundings.

Where do you start?? Upon arriving at the car park and seeing how busy it was we were looking forward surely somewhere so busy must be good. Sadly that was not the case. The website advertises this as fine dining which I can honestly say has to be the most polar opposite of what this place is. The decor is terrible and furniture is very very dated. The large room where we sat for the carvery was laid out like a school dining room all very perculiar. We were there for a 5 Course Carvery which is more like a Buffett with a carvery course. The food was not good at all. The meats on the carvery which the website stated were cooked to perfection were awful. The beef was that dry it was inedible the same can be said about the pork and turkey. I requested whether they had any beef that was a little moister and more on the medium side rather than a texture more dry than a cream cracker. This was request was met with a response of this is how everyone likes it. The veg was poor, the only positive was the cauliflower cheese. The Yorkshire puddings looked frozen rather than homemade. All in all not a fine dining experience at all. If this was produced by a proffessional chef it’s questionable??

We go there every few weeks and it's always amazing. As soon as u walk in there's a warm feel about the place and u are seated there and then with no mucking about . Drinks order is taken and with u in mins , u can order whatever u want and they are even willing to mix and match side orders . Chips are proper chips and the Gammon is to die for . They also do brilliant burgers and fish is large and very tastie. Overall a great resturant and bar with a very warm welcome . Staff are marvellous.

Went today for a carvery, have to say the roast beef was so dry and over cooked. Veg was tasteless, overall tho it's a cheap place to eat - you get what you pay for.

Atmosphere and service ok but not the meal. there was no cheesecake left so we had trifle which had come straight from the fridge. It was sponge and tinned fruit in jelly with ready made custard poured over the top and the price....£3.95. Do not go here if you want a decent meal at a sensible price.

We went on a Friday early evening, and were the only people in the bar area, apart from a loud woman (with child and pensioner) complaining loudly about alleged maltreatment on her holiday by foreign police etc. Anyway, not to bore you like she did to us, the place is a bit old fashioned, but I put that down to Hanover/18th century etc connections or something. Anyway, what I ate was good I thought, but those accompanying me were rather less than impressed with what they received. One had a rather 'overdone' omelette. The other ordered the special of fish and chips which he said in his many years on this Earth was the worst he had ever had. But then why not complain? Well, the waiter/manager person was so friendly and nice, it would have felt cruel to complain to his face. However, maybe we should have as the prices were high enough.
