We were lucky enough to be gifted a brewery tour for my partners birthday and it did not disappoint! Dave made The tour interesting and fun and you could see how passionate and knowledgeable he is. All Staff were friendly and helpful and the beer and food was 5* we will be returning with our family.

We had a brilliant night at Hanlon’s brewery for a tour and dinner. Dave, one of the brewers gave the tour and was a knowledgeable and generous host. They even remembered it was an anniversary present for my husband and added a few special touches for us which was incredibly thoughtful. The tour included a meal and beer, making it really good value. The food really was delicious. The best burgers I’ve had in a long time. Lots of other drinks available if beer isn’t your thing and gluten free food options too.

We’ve been here once before but not for a while and as it was my grandson’s last day at school we decided to treat him. I’ve always known they do amazing burgers but they also now have ribs, pulled pork and a bigger choice of food. Everything was so delicious! My grandson shared a ‘Buddy Holly’ platter with his dad which was huge, ribs, wings, pulled pork, steak, sausage etc (you get the idea) I had ribs and wings, the ribs are very meaty and it just falls off the bone and the other 2 in our party had burgers. We all had way too much food but surprisingly it seemed to disappear between us. Plenty of drinks choice and very friendly staff, I would highly recommend.

It was my son's 21st surprise birthday and all the staff truly went the extra mile. I cannot recommend this fabulous little hidden gem just outside Exeter more highly. My son and his friends are all at Exeter University and it was the most perfect boys night out. Starting with an extremely informative and enjoyable chat in the brewery where we got to see the workings of the brewery and understand how their top quality and extremely reasonably priced beer is brewed. Then into one of their cozy sheds for some of their delicious burgers and selection of gourmet chips. All quite exceptional. Not to be missed. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for giving us such a special evening.

The burgers and fries here are delicious. All really good ingredients expertly prepared and service is excellent. Loads of places try to do American style food like this and don’t quite get it right. BFK nails it.

We did the brewery tour and food - the tour was good but could do with some streamlining, I felt 90 minutes to stand in 2 different locations was slightly too much, an hour would have made more sense, although was generally interesting. The food was superb and the 3 mini burgers were delicious. Drinks were also very reasonably priced, and portions were huge. Would definitely recommend the whole experience, especially for the money!

Great for meat lovers, not so great for vegetarians. Veggie options are beyond burgers... burgers that look just like meat, so if you are vegetarian because you just don't like meat, these are not a suitable option. Only other alternative is to have a plate of chips with some jackfruit on top. Extremely disappointing after being a big fan of this place and their bean burgers since they opened. Other family members love the burgers though.

Came here as a family of 5 for food and drinks. We managed to get in one of the sheds and were given a speaker so we could enjoy our own music with our food and drink. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced! The staff were very attentive and the place had a really atmosphere too! Can’t wait to come and visit again

We cannot rate this place highly enough! The food is absolutely incredible not to mention the beer. Such a wonderful little gem of a place. The staff are friendly and the service exceptional. As for the food. Incredible. Tasty, mouth watering, delicious and absolutely worth every penny! Be sure to make a trip to the brewery shop too.

A great venue. We did the brewery tour, boy does Dave know his beer. Then free tasting beers in the loft. Then sliders in a small cabin. - such fun !!

What a brilliant evening we had at Hanlons Brewery. We booked this as a works social event as we wanted to do something a little bit different. As none of us had been there before I decided to email them and see what they could offer us as a group of 10 as we ideally wanted to have a tour of brewery, some food and obviously a few beers. I received a quick reply from Sam who suggested we booked one of the Smoke Shacks which could seat the group. Sam also said they could offer a tour of the brewery with some tasting samples and suggested we have a keg to enjoy whilst we had our meal, so I went ahead and booked it. We were so pleased we went ahead with this booking. He had a great tour of the brewery which was given by Dave Sandercock who was very knowledgeable and kept it interesting and fun the entire time. It was lovely to see someone so passionate about the job that he does. After the tour we had our meal in one of the smoke shacks the food was absolutely amazing. If anyone is looking for a night out and want to do something a little different then I’d definitely recommend visiting Hanlons. We certainly had a brilliant time.

Booked a smoke shed for a family get together. Lovely and comfortable. Our server was attentive and polite. We ordered a sharing platter from the big smoker and various sides and burgers. Food all came together and exceeded expectations 😋 All elements were of great quality and our party were very happy. We even bought some stout from the brewery on the way out. Would recommend to absolutely anyone and we'll certainly return.

Caught up with a friend down in Exeter and thought we’d try the BFK at Hanlons. Food was excellent. We ordered the sharing platter and to be honest we couldn’t manage to eat all of it, which is saying something. Beer was also excellent and able to try a taster of the different beers to pick a favourite. Staff were very attentive and great service. Would certainly recommend and go back.

A very large group ~30 of us had Sunday lunch here - they opened specially for us. before the meal you could buy alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks but they didn't do tea or coffee. A choice of non alcoholic drinks was served with the meal. I had the smoked fish and chips which was really nice but everything looked and smelt good, although for me personally it could have been a bit warmer but I put that down to the size of our group. We came here for dinner with family. The burgers were delicious! I really felt for the staff as the evening we went was exceptionally hot! There are tours of the brewery and also a shop where you can buy lovely gins, craft beers and cider.
