Their poke bowls make a nice healthy lunch, and the cafe has a pretty atmosphere with the cherry blossom decorations.

Pretty good. You could personalise the food, so a medium sized menu became quite big. I had fried udon with katsu chicken, wood fungus (this is a slightly chewy and very flavourful mushroom) and egg. The egg was hard boiled, so it was slightly over cooked, but otherwise a very nice meal. It was very inexpensive. They also had a range of homemade cakes on display.

Great coffee with a very accommodating and graceful lady serving it. Would recommend the chocolate chiffon cake which is light and airy, made all the more enjoyable sat by the window people watching with the sunlight streaming in.

The food was perfect! Gyudon, matcha, and dianhong red tea exceeded our expectations. On top of that, service was amazing!! A very friendly owner kindly recommended us which meals to choose and provided additional info on the nutritional benefits of the food.

First time trying this place, located on Burleigh Street. This is now a halal food establishment, however we have been informed they will be serving alcoholic drinks in separate glasses. The service was friendly, food came fast. Portion size was good. The build your own poke is a best seller and we could see why, great size portion with good choices and healthy option. Good flavours and fresh. Chicken Katsu Curry came nicely presented with rice and sauce. For me, it needed a little bit more seasoning. The boys enjoyed Chicken Katsu Sandwich and Prawn Katsu sandwich. The atmosphere was lacking, the decor is nothing special, a little tired. Overall a bit expensive, especially for lunchtime. But definitely worth trying, especially for the cute ice moulds in the drinks.

Delicious poke bowls and we were encouraged to sit and enjoy our (lovely) red tea for as long as we wanted, with as many top-ups as we wanted. Great place to sit and chat in peace!

I absolutely ADORE this place. I never leave reviews but I feel like I have to because the people working in it deserve to know! it’s always so quiet in there when I go in so I really think they need some visibility and love. A small cute cafe that has food/drink and desserts focused around Japanese food + poke bowls. Everytime I’ve eaten here, the service has been amazing and they’re always so friendly. When I’m ordering takeaway, the lady I see mainly working the till area always gives me a glass of water while i’m waiting. Really really nice people! The food is always amazing, I’ve tried almost all the main things (not the poke bowl yet) and I can’t fault it other than I wish there was more because i’m greedy lol. I need to know what dressing they use on the cucumber salad because I’m OBSESSED!! Shop atmosphere and music is so cute and relaxing. Comfortable to sit in and just chill and listen to the music while reading or whatever. Definitely going to come here for my lunch breaks or whenever I’m in a work meeting/phone call as it’s just a 2 minute walk away. Shop looks so good and cute too. I love it so so much. One more thing… Look at the absolute care they put into takeaway customers. a FABRIC bag!!! cute stickers for their containers. It’s so thoughtful, the bag can be reused and when not being used can easily be folded into your usual bag as it’s small and thin and folds nicely. I hope people read this and try them out because they deserve more visibility. Do come and try the food and have a chat with the lady at the till, you won’t regret it! ps. I will be trying to get the name of the dressing on the cucumber…

The food was absolutely delicious and comforting but when I was given a drink with a small cute cup it was dirty. But the food makes it worth, it would definitely come again!

Fresh and easy dishes. Poke bowl seems to be the main offering with a build-your-own approach. There are also chiffon cakes, more airy and light than a mild summer breeze. However, the atmosphere and service are stand out. More soothing than silk bedsheets, the service was welcoming and easy going.

My first time trying this delightful little Japanese café. Great choice of breakfast, I opted for the veggie breakfast which was delicious with a nice mix of spinach, halloumi, cherry tomatoes, hash browns , mushrooms, beans egg and toast, plus strawberry jam. £11.95 which was fantastic value. While eating my breakfast I perused the menu ,the poke bowls look really good ,im going to have to come back and try one. The service was wonderful, I was served by a lovely lady who was very polite and attentive . I don't know why I haven't been I here before but I will definitely be back. 🥰

Truly a lovely experience, with a brilliant bakery selection as well, specifically as a birthday treat. Delicious range of food, flavours and drinks. Will definitely be coming back here for more. 🪷

A very lovely cosy restaurant, where Asian-fusion food is being served right in the heart of a bustling shopping area; Grafton, Cambridge. Affordable and high-quality food, and not forget; exceptionally tasty, and it's being served by kind-hearted staff. We will definitely come back and eat the Hawaiian Poke bowl again.

I don't tend to post much, but it is so nice to find a rare quiet and nice cafe/restaurant like this nowadays in a world full of franchises. I had the large poke; very fresh ingredients, big portions and good quality. The service was caring and polite. I will come back for sure.

Very new place in cambs but damn the poke bowl are very good. I like the atmosphere and the music fits the cafe style well. All in all... A great option to have a bit to eat.

I’ve ordered online on Deliveroo and eaten in store. They delivered it themselves and were soooooooo kind and careful with the food. Which was AMAZING! We had the poke bowl and the chicken Katsu! Honestly 100% recommend. Great food and fantastic staff!

I came here once just after they opened and got the Udon at the time. I thought it was mediocre at best, but have it another chance today. The service was very good and the atmosphere nice too, but the food was s bit disappointing. I tried the Gyudon, but it really wasn't great too and not very appetising. The beef was very rubbery and the dish on general was bland, the rice seemed overcooked.

Really low key restaurant with the friendliest staff. We had poké bowl and chicken udon soup and they were both spot on. The broth of the soup was full of flavour and really appreciated being able to choose what veg/protein were added to the udon! Definitely going to be back now we've found you Hanami!!

Very chilled atmosphere, with a great aesthetic and simply incredible Japanese food! We stumbled in by chance and ended up staying all afternoon to sample as much of the menu as possible. The cake and the poke bowl were standout must-trys. We'll definitely be back!

Delicious udon soup noodle bowls! Good filling portion size, broth was yummy and the shiitake mushrooms lovely and there was a cute teddy bear ice cube bathing in my drink - an added £2.40 to the £9.90 meal. Love this place for a chill homey vibe with warm food!

Can’t recommend this place enough. Lovely little place to eat, friendly and welcoming with a calm atmosphere. I usually have the udon soups, choosing different ingredients each time. The cakes are so light and delicious, a wonderful way to wind up a meal, and I’m always offered a refill of my pot of tea. I keep coming back.

Went on a Sunday, it was quiet but lovely. Good food and drink, interestingly different from classic café fare. We'll come back to try the whole menu.

The staff were so lovely - I just went in for the Hanami Breakfast and it was beautiful! I will definitely be coming back! The atmosphere was also very relaxing and there were blossoms over the wall 🥰

The staff/owner are very nice and welcoming, the atmosphere and decor are great. We were surprised to see them with no guests on Friday night while other restaurants nearby were packed. Hoping we found a hidden gem and encouraged by positive reviews, we decided to give them a try. Unfortunately after the food arrived we found out why they had no guests. We had a udon soup with shiitake, tofu, egg and carrots and a prawn curry. Sadly, neither was very good. Udon tasting like reheated from a package, rice overcooked, little flavour. It is possible that their Poke bowls, coffee or cakes are good, but I don’t think we’ll be back to try.

We didn’t feel welcomed with 2 pushchairs staff was constantly chatting between each other in their own language and looking at us. I understand its a small place anyway we didn’t stay long just had drinks and left.

Such a lovely little venue! So unassuming from the outside, but lovely and cosy on the inside. The staff are wonderful and friendly, the food is brilliant (their poke bowl is excellent), so much choice and the portion sizes are great. Highly recommend them and I will be back for more! Pictured is a regular salmon poke bowl I ordered for take out, to give you an idea of the portion size.

It was a great experience. Cozy place with amazing food at a good and honest price. The ingredients of the poke bowl were fresh and delicious. Also, the staff is so so so kind and lovely, you couldn't ask for more! Plus: in the background I heard the piano version of Howl's moving castle 😍

A quiet unassuming place amongst the crowd. Nice and chill atmosphere. Friendly staff. And very nice poke bowl. Lots of options to choose from.

I never leave reviews, but this hidden gem will now forever be a place I will recommend! We were a big group that came in to eat in and the owner and staff were just so so lovely, caring and accommodating. Everything there is halal which is the biggest bonus, and the food there is so comforting and amazingly priced.

Best Poke bowl in Cambridge! Very reasonable price and so many options to choose from. Honestly cannot emphasise enough just how excellent the quality and freshness of the dish was. Cannot wait to go again!

Popped in to get some cake and a drink with my daughter. We shared a delicious matcha chiffon cake and some fresh macarons. Espresso was nice and smooth. Lovely people run the restaurant cafe. Will definitely return.

Beautiful place- onigiri and macaroons made fresh and are delicious. Coffee, food, all just wonderful. Vegetarian options and halal. All tables have outlets which was great. Super friendly and helpful staff- cannot recommend this place more. A gem in city centre right by all shopping stores.

Stopped in when we saw they were halal. Had the udon soup with beef and stir fry. Also had a (huge) side of fried chicken. Food was very tasty, and very filling. The owner, Karen, was a lovely host. Made us feel very welcome there. We look forward to returning soon!

Excellent Japanese fare: fresh, well-balanced and well-presented. Local menu items, such as fried chicken and chips, meet the same high standards. Atmosphere is friendly and chill. Reminded me strongly of cafes I visited in Kyoto.
