The Box Café in Cambridge

I went here for lunch after walking past it a few times. It did not disappoint. The jacket potato was huge, soft in the middle and had a crispy skin and was seasoned well with lashings of butter. My toppings of choice was tuna and cheese which were generously given. I was on my lunch break so it didn't take too long to arrive. I had the jacket to go. I couldn't fault it. One of the best jacket potatoes I've had in a while! Great value for money. I will definitely try more of their menu. No photo this time

Friendly service, cozy atmosphere. A nice study spot, when it is quiet. And the fresh squeezed orange juice was incredible!

This is a nice little place, tucked away from everything which can be nice but still quite close to the crowds. They have a great selection of flavours and types of food. They're a bit overpriced for what they offer, the drinks aren't the greatest.

Ozy at Box Cafe provided catering for an event we held locally. The food was delicious, commented on by many attendees, the fruit platter was beautifully presented. Making the arrangements was very straightforward, and easy for the event organisers. Thought went into reducing single use packaging. A very positive experience.

I have lived in Cambridge most my life, their mezze platter is the best dish in town hands down, I have probably eaten it over 30 times…

Freshly cooked authentic Turkish food. The meze was a wonderful mix of flavours. The staff are friendly and reasonably priced.

Lovely homemade food and great tasting coffee. The service here is always exceptional- such friendly and welcoming staff. It's a great little hideaway to get some peace and quiet away from the hum-drum of town! I love coming here to study in my breaks. Highly recommend :)

My new favourite hideaway! I've just started at Anglia Ruskin University and was looking for a place that sold good coffee- The Box certainly does that! I've also eaten here twice now and had a great experience both times. The food is really fresh and tasty and the service is excellent. I always feel really welcome. This is definitely going to be a staple place for me to come to on my lunch breaks over the coming 3 years!

Good food . Freshly baked . Some items were overpriced unfortunately. I decided to give them 5 starts because I liked the food and the owner is very friendly . They might want to reconsider the prices of some of their items though :) But good experience in general :)

This is a great place to have lunch. They are very flexible with your order and can tailor it to your requirements. As a result, there are lots of vegan and vegetarian options. Seating available both inside and outside. Staff are very friendly and they bring the food to your table.

Great place to occasionally come for breakfast. It’s tucked away next to the Grafton Centre and reasonably priced. If you’re looking for an interesting Turkish spin on breakfast, look no further! During lunch/early afternoon, it can get a bit busy and make waits a bit long. A bonus is the open studio art gallery featuring local artists that is within the cafe.

Loved it. Welcoming. Tasty. Feel great after eating. What more can you ask? Still marvelous after all these years.

SO good!! My husband and I stopped in here on our way to the train on our last day in Cambridge. The staff was lovely and the food was amazing! We both got the Menemen and a cappuccino, everything was fresh and flavorful. If we are ever in Cambridge again we will be back!

What a gem! Myself and friend went there last week and had a lovely lunch. The gentleman who served us was very welcoming, friendly and accomodating. The website's menu doesn't do the lovely cafe justice as they offer so much more. Theres jacket potato's, panini's, sandwiches and so much more. Plus for those wanting an alcoholic beverage they serve beer & wine. Lovely staff, food and venue. Highly recommended

Delicious Turkish meze and friendly, welcoming people.

We had an absolutely delicious mezze platter and aubergine stew. This is a total hidden gem for fresh, homemade food and the owners are very friendly as well. We will be back!

A remarkable little eaterie and a hidden treasure. The food is lovingly home prepared, delicious and very reasonably priced. Small meze platter had 6 items, a mix of hot and cold and so much more interesting than the usual humus and pitta affairs. Very good coffee and the fig and walnut cake was exceptional. Lovely owners who make you feel at home. It really is worth finding this place

Get the mezze platter: so many nice foods!

One of Cambridge hidden little treasures tucked away down a side road. I had a fresh cooked breakfast, good quality sausage and bacon, good size portions. A lovely coffee and a distinct medeteranian feel about the place. Reminded me of many a holiday. Good menu choice from light bites to evening meals. A lovely selection of sweet treats for those not counting their calories. Good service, friendly smile and competitively priced. I'll certainly be back.

Amazing Gluten Free Food. I walked in explained I was coeliac, the lady was delightful showing my all the GF cakes she had. She then offered to make up a Turkish mezze, that would be gluten free. It included aubergine and cauliflower 2 things I would normally avoid, it was delicious! I will be back. Fingers crossed GF Baklava is featuring 😋

The Box Cafe is great, we love it here! Lovely friendly staff and great food. Always cooked fresh. They have a good range of standard ‘English’ food, this is always tasty, and there are also the Turkish speciality’s too! Our choice for lunch when we are working! 😃

The Box Café on Norfolk Street Cambridge, is a real gem. It’s tucked away in a courtyard, so you can enjoy your cuppa in peace without the rushing of cars. It is owned and run by a wonderful husband and wife team, Ozzi and Fatima who are the most radiant and genuine people I know, who really understand how to put flavours together to produce excellent quality of beautiful food. Ranging from falafel like you’ve never tasted, to incredible desserts - catering brilliantly for vegans too, it’s some of the very best food in Cambridge!

great food twice both times now and the Team is absolutely fantastic. we ordered for a large group for lunch the day before an their main concern was to keep the food hot enough. highly recommend quality, service and taste.

The Box Cafe is a great new find for me in Cambridge. The staff is really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They have a wide range of gluten free and vegan options and they can tailor some dishes to your dietary requirements. The food itself was absolutely delicious. I will definitely stop by again on my next trip to Cambridge.

Got there for 8:00am and the gate was shut... I've heard good things but maybe they're not open during the school holidays? Please update website if this is the case.

They might have simple food (toast with butter and egg, or a tosti with cheese), but at least is it is delicious food. A great place to visit for lunch or breakfast if you want to get away from the busy shopping streets.

Honestly friendly run place and very warm atmosphere ! The owner looks a truly nice guy. Would probably have even more customers if was visible from the road, but that's why this tiny place is good as it is as its hidden and unique! Don't miss out if around . They serve breakfast, teas coffees They've got plenty of sandwiches option with different tipe of bread to choose from and salads. Only had toast this time, but exited to try some breakfast if back ! Kids are welcome as plenty of toys for them and a playground. Three rooms to sit or if u will outside too. U r welcome !

The King and Queen of Norfolk Street spread smiles that I struggle to compare with any level of customer service I've experienced. You will be treated as family as soon as you enter the great gates. I have never bought anything other than a Spicy Chicken Panini - I'm sure everything else is equally fantastic, but I see no reason to divert from the homely feeling of that damn great Spicy Chicken. Oh it's so good.
