Had breakfast 2 days in a row which was good, standard spread provided. Friendly staff. Tables cleared promptly. Though they were short staffed so didn't do lunch service... No problem as the plan was to get to the city centre during the day. Got back to the attached Premier inn for the evening and planned on dinner dinner here. I discovered I couldn't do dinner as the card readers didn't work... I didn't find this out from a host but a black and white a4 sheet on a post while walking to the till after making a meal choice. Went to the supermarket to grab dinner instead. So not too great but food I did eat was okay.

I had a booking for 5pm. 4:13pm I get a call to say they're short staffed so will just do starters and burgers as options. I asked if they're literally only doing burgers as a main to which they said yes, so I said it's not really great considering both me and my daughter have dairy and soya allergies so can't eat burgers to which I was told that's all they can do. I said 45 minutes notice on father's day really was not good enough now being left with nowhere to eat for dinner. Absolutely appauled - I understand staff shortages happen but they definitely knew before 45 minutes before our booking and could have rung earlier 😡

Awful! We waited over 40 minutes to be served, 1hr 20min for our main to arrive and left before the dessert as we couldn't put up with wasting anymore time. Our drinks, again fed up with waiting, we got ourselves as they were sat on a tray warming up nicely on the bar! The food was grim; either bone dry and toasted or runny slop. We heard quite a few others grumbling during the evening. We don't expect much from Premier Inn associated restaurants, but this was a complete shambles. Avoid. STILL WAITING FOR OUR REFUND PROMISED!!

Despite all the issues, we still had a really good time. They close at 9.30 however the waitress offered to make us a couple desserts with her own fair hands at 9.46, this was to avoid a rollocking from the chefs however we think she was offering good service. Beer choice excellent, cider poor to medium. Ordered 3 chicken goujon “upgrade” with cheese, got two, no cheese, not arsed. I also appreciated that they kept so many tables free for walk ins but then didn’t allow any walk ins. Won’t be back but wish them all the best!

Let's start with a positive... the staff were friendly, welcoming and polite despite a notice stating that due to staff shortage, only pre-booked guests could be served. It's downhill from there, unfortunately. First, we were brought the wrong bottle of wine, an easy enough mistake to make... and rectify. My wife's burger arrived, complete with bacon and a cheese slice. Our suspicions about the food temperature were raised by the fact that the cheese had not melted at all. The bacon proved to be stone cold. We sent the meal back to the kitchen, and it returned, this time at an acceptable temperature. But now let's look at the decor.... The chairs were stained, the carpet threadbare and the hessian wallcovering hanging off the wall. And I could have written all this in the dust on the shelves! This place seriously needs refurbishment and ongoing maintenance! Even a decent clean would improve it!

It’s a great address! There were 25 of us arriving as part of a twinning committee. The ladies welcomed us with a smile. They have lots of things to do (there are only two of them) and when we ask them for things, it's always a beautiful smile that welcomes us! We really liked the setting, very pleasant. The ladies had reserved a room for us and it was really nice. We will come back to see you with great pleasure!

Highly disappointing service. We booked a table in advance, but had to wait quite a while before being seated. Didn't feel warm and welcome at all. The waitress (Sally C) was rude and clearly didn't want to be there - chucked the food down without a smile or a word and then walked off. My food did not come as per my order and was dry and lukewarm at best. We could hear other customers complaining whilst there.

We’ve recently been to Table Table to book a function room for my Nans wake, the restaurant & bar were very busy so we had to wait a while before we spoke to someone. They explained they only had 2 members of staff on at the time. We dealt with a young man called Ed & to say he is a credit to your company would be an understatement. He talked us through everything & we booked in. We are the type of family who like to make jokes & light of things and his humour matched ours. We were so happy we dealt with Ed & are gutted he won’t be working the day of the wake.

Breakfast is an unlimited buffet but disappointing in the low quality of the various food aspects. The menu promises orange juice, but it is labelled Tropical Juice and tastes horribly sweet. More like a squash that comes in a bottle that you add water to. Disappointing that the only decaf coffee is Nescafe sachets. No fancy cappuccino or anything like that.

Staying in the Premier Inn next door, I booked breakfast. A generous buffet, but the bacon was pretty soggy and tasteless and the fried eggs were hard. The black pudding was unexpected and very good indeed. My only contact with staff was when I arrived, and that was friendly and efficient. It met my expectations.

This is take 2 for me, was here last a couple of years ago and gave it 1 star, surely its changed...... far far from it, simply put...shocking. This is categorically the worsed premiere inn connected pub/reseraunt out there. 20mins waiting to be sat and a drink, 40 mins waiting for a starter just to be told there's been a problem and I can reorder if I want to...... where is the management when supporting these young staff if they are making mistakes? If you stay next door, they are great but do not rely on this pub for your meals. I would say, I hope this is a one off....but it hasn't been this is the second time. Whitbread....get a grip. Either get more support in here or get new management in. Something is deffinatly not working!

I would advise you to book especially if you go on the weekend. Had a really good breakfast which is a buffet style breakfast. Lots of options including fruit, cereal, pancakes, toast, and cooked English breakfast. Asked about allergies and after mentioning my gluten allergy was given the allergy book to look at what I could and couldn't eat. A wide selection of Gluten free and offered to cook it fresh as well. Only reason for not getting a full 5 stars is the staff looked rushed and understaffed, but they did do an excellent job.

Place very dated and needs a face lift. Toilets well you literally have to sit on the toilet to open and close the door and not clean. Visited again Dec 23 with relatives. Seats dirty. Food appalling. Nothing cooked properly. Roast potatoes looked like mash. Chocolate pudding tasted foul and not even appreciated by my grandson. Toilets disgusting still. How is this place passing hygiene approval 🤔

Had a meal last night with hubby Waited ages to be sat down. After sitting down for a few minutes we were moved to another table. We were. told that someone would be with us. Advantually someone came to take our order. The poor girl serving us was her first shift ( wonder why she wasn't with someone) When are food came the chips were cold. We were given another portion of chips but this was after we had finished the rest of our meal. I'm not blaming staff there, obviously doing their best, but maybe more support is required.

We booked a table for 7pm for 8 of us including 2 children. When we sat down the Manager told us that food may be a little longer as they had just had large group order food. Not too much of a problem for us, so we ordered our drinks. 3/4 of the drinks came out, the waitress took our order but the rest took ages to come out. Our starters came out an hour later. Once we'd finished our starters no one came to collect our plates. And over an hour passed and still no mains arrived. We hadn't seen our waitress since she brought our drinks out. Eventually our mains came out. I told the waitress that our plates hadn't been cleared. She went back to get a tray and move the plates off the table then she gave us our mains. She nearly dropped our mains in her haste to clear plates and give us our food. To be clear I don't blame her at all, it was her first shift and clearly management are not scheduling enough staff. The food was was disappointing to say the least - my food was barely warm, my niece's chicken was rock solid. My mother in laws chips were cold. Other family members food wasn't hot. Also by this time we weren't particularly hungry as we had waited so long since our starters for our mains we didn't enjoy our meals. I feel the food was left waiting for ages before it was brought out which was why it was cold. By this time it was getting late and the kids were getting tired so we didn't order dessert God knows how long we would have waited. Other diners who has ordered their food left before the food came out. We raised our concerns with the manager and raised our concerns that they needed an additional member of staff. He gave us a discount on our food but we will not be back. I don't blame the staff they are doing the best they can with limited resources. TableTable this is not good enough. You lost money because of poor service the manager gave us a discount. You lost money because we didn't order dessert due to the wait time on food. You lost repeat custom we will never return here. You lost Premier Inn money because we will never stay at this Premier Inn. You will lose money due to word of mouth and our friends and family won't visit here. It is very shortsighted to not schedule enough staff to give your customers good customer service. It isn't fair that your staff have to take criticism from your customers for what is out of their control. We felt so sorry for her. We visit your Bournemouth branch regularly and our experience couldn't be any more different so clearly you can give good customer service.

The location is fine, and the staff are friendly, but this place is very badly managed. I booked a table for 5.30pm and was quickly seated and had a drink delivered 10 mins later. At the point that my drink arrived, I ordered my food. 1 hour later I had not received my food, nor an update or apology from the staff. I decided to leave at 6.40 and ended up buying a sandwich from the nearby garage due to time constraints. I won't be returning here for food again, it's not worth the hassle.

It's a pleasant building and quite typical of the chain. Update: The return visit in June was very poor. No food in the evening as the chef was ill or there was a gas issue depending who answered. Told to go to the hotel next door as they had a list of takeaway we could order from and eat in the restaurant. That was a great idea but the hotel had no idea what that was about. Oh well, at least we were told the day chef would be in for breakfast. Except, that didn't happen either. Clearly it was chaotic and hard to manage but the staff were nice throughout. 4 months later and it is still poor!!! Breakfast products good but cold bacon, eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms. In the evening, they completely forgot the dessert despite being reminded after 45 minutes. After an hour and a quarter I just left. For a major chain questions must be asked at regional manager level as to how poor this had been for such a long time.

6.15pm booking on a Saturday night, table of 4. We phoned ahead about 10 minutes earlier, because the place we were going to had a maintainence problem, so it closed. They had plenty of space, so we got a table and got there at 6.10pm. Very friendly front of house staff member showed us to our table and took our drinks order, and then a very lovely waitress took our food order, all around 6.20pm. It was a long wait for food, and we didn't have any update on how long it would be - not to the fault of the staff, the 4 people we saw on duty were all rushed off their feet and were very polite to us at every interaction. But we could tell all the tables around us were also waiting on food. We finally got our food at 7.20pm, a whole hour later. Food was lovely, albeit my chips were cold. But everything else was delicious. My parents had the fish and chips, and it was a very decent portion, a huge piece of lovely fish. So, can't fault the food. Though we did get our food earlier than another table we overheard complaining they'd been waiting over an hour and a bit for theirs. Not sure why we got ours first, but hey ho. It was just a case of waiting a very long while. But like I say, very lovely staff doing the best they can, while I assume being understaffed in the kitchen, maybe? The actual restaurant was hardly packed out either, one side being completely empty. Almost as if they are running low on staff, so they can't run at full capacity. I think a lot of companies are suffering at the moment, though, so no complaints from me, just the way things are for some places at the moment. Anyway, long rant over. But yes, very long wait, however majority of the meal was wonderful, staff were very polite and friendly, and restaurant and facilities clean. Also, remember to register your number plate when you get into the restaurant, to receive the 3 hours of free parking.

You could understand this if it was a independent restaurant but not a chain. Judging by other reviews I think we dodged a bullet, I just feel sorry for people who stop in the Premier Inn and unable to eat there. Will not be trying again..

It's a very big place. Nice and cool. Indoor and outdoor eating. Unfortunately the day we ate there it was dead and people got turned away due to very low staff numbers. Although glad we stayed as the food was nice and the service receiving the food was also good. But felt like at the beginning they didn't want anyone there due to low staff numbers. Shame really as it was a nice place, no way could they have coped if it was busy though. I would even say it was nicer than the table table in Poole. Mad as it was a bank holiday weekend. So usually places like that are heaving.

A good chain pub, with good service and fair food for the price. We had the lunchtime menu, don't expect anything too big or complex, but it was good food, well cooked and served with a smile and importantly affordable for those with less bulging pockets right now. I will visit again.

There was only one member of staff to deal with the food area and the bar, and she preferred the bar. So after waiting 30 minutes to be served, we left, as did a few others.

Lovely continental breakfast or cooked breakfast. Plenty to choose from and lovely fresh fruit too. Help yourself to as much as you need. Don’t let your eyes be bigger than your appetite though lol.

We're staying at the Premiere Inn and after reading the reviews for the restaurant, we were reluctant to try it. However, it was convenient so we signed up for the dinner/breakfast meal deal. The food was good and hot. We didn't wait an unreasonable time for it. The staff was wonderful; helpful, attentive and knowlegeable. We would return. Give it a try.

Food preordered as for 13 of us for an 80th, nothing was ready, 12 roast dinners and 1 lasagne!!, easy hey, nope, took well over an hour to even start coming out, the Scottish waiter was great but could see he was embarrassed, when food come out, it was luke warm and by the time last one came out the 1st couple had finished without even gravy on the table, hich had to ask for, absolutely awful, don't ever dine here if more than 2 in a party

Took my mother here for mother's day. 45 min wait for our orders to be taken. Our main arrived at 2.10.. we arrived at 12.30! The meat was tough. The sprouts were frozen sprouts full of water, the sausage in pigs blanket was barely cooked, the plates were cold. All in all very bad. I write this reluctantly because I want the place to do well, but they need to up their game.

I always hit a 'Spoons' when working away as they tend to be pretty consistent, it is what it is and doesn't try to punch above it's weight. I found a window seat so I could people watch, and the table was clean and not at all sticky like so many others! Beer festival offers were great. £1.79 for a pint of 6.9% ale! Fantastic and great quality. The katsu curry (with a drink) was tasty, hot and a decent portion, but the onion bhaji's (tiny) and veg samosa were not so great so probably best avoided. Tonight I'll try something else off the menu as its always good value. I might well end up in here every night of the six nights I'm in Trowbridge, especially as most other pubs and restaurants don't all get decent reviews.

Picked up my order, got it home to find parts of it missing. Phoned up to ask for the missing meal to be made ready for pick up as I had paid for it. The lady on the phone accused me of ordering it wrong. I read off a list I had everyone write what they wanted on it. The missing meal was on that list. She read my order back to me which was correct. Went to pick it up. The lady accused me of not talking loud enough. Now, anyone who who knows me , knows that it is not possible for me to talk quietly. Long story short, the food was cold. My daughters chicken fried rice was bland. sweet and sour was pure sugar and the black bean very acidic. Shame its gone downhill since its been taken over. Used to be really nice. The staff pleasant, now they are just rude
