Halima Indian Takeaway in Chichester

Just mooved to the area . Ordered a chicken pattia. Rice and nahn bread and onion bhagis. Ive eaten currys most places in between bognor to Portsmouth and this was a nice meal. Good value also 👍

On holiday and fancied a take away. Don't bother. Told half hour to forty minutes ... make that an hour. Food order was wrong. What came was bland and tasteless. Phoned to pay as they forgot the card machine and mentioned one of the mains was wrong. Getting shouted at and hung up on was not what I was expecting. Rubbish food rubbish service. Only called back as they where going to charge the site we are staying at !!

terrible service left my food on somebody's step not mine . Called them they told me its on the step and put phone down very rude called back and they told me goe and collect it from strangers step 1 hour after it was delivered 😆

The taste was okay/average for any Indian takeaway, however the food was over oily and portion size was too small for the price.

Sorry to say Halima seems to be on a downward slope. Has always been fantastic in the past. Twice recently I have collected phoned in orders and got home to find items missing. The chicken rezala is top notch I must say, but the main course Veg curry was mainly potato peas and sweetcorn. Onion bahjis over cooked and cold and Aloo gobi was lots of aloo and a few scraps of cauliflower. Spent £40 (Inc 10% discount) and not seeing good value here at all. Very disappointed.

As a local this is our nearest go to for a curry, the food is really good especially their Chicken Naga for spice lovers. Their food tastes fresh not reheated. The only thing I would say is their delivery service can take a while, we live in Bracklesham but delivery has taken well over an hour and half when we have ordered. The curry is worth it but I would say make sure you order it sooner than other takeaways.

Quick friendly service, amazing food. Always had excellent service and food! Until a year on and how things have changed. Couple of weeks back asked for a delivery only got some of the meal. They said they wouldn't charge me for the missing items next time fair enough! Today told 45min wait before delivery. Phoned after hour quarter abruptly told they are about to leave. After over 2hrs got no food and no explanation 😑. Very disappointed indeed!!!!!

I have been fortunate enough to eat Indian foods around the Uk including Leeds, Birmingham and London. In my opinion the food at Halima Take away in Bracklesham Lane beats them all. We always look forward to one when we come to visit. Thanks 🙏

Don’t be put off by the shabby shop front. The food is the important thing and this places produces great curries. Friendly staff, generous portions, reasonable prices. 👨🏽‍🍳

Poor . Wrong orders delivered, 20 mins late , food was not hot .

Late delivery, wrong order, tried to call but constanly engaged, best bit was the delivery driver, never order from there again

The food was an hour late. We called and were told it was on its way (already 20 mins late) then took another 25 mins to arrive (7mins from ours to them) called again to find out where it was and got a very rude man who then hung up on us when we asked to cancel the order and refund the amount. Food ended up arriving 1hr late. No compensation for our awful experience. Lamb was tough, chicken was sweet, cauliflower bhaji was awful. All in all, stay away from here.

We had a good meal from them tonight. I especially liked the onion bhajies

An hour after ordering food for a delivery, very late in the evening they cancel the order and say they couldn’t deliver. Appalling service S they would have know me when we placed the order they couldn’t deliver and waited until the last minute to cancel.

I'd ordered a chicken madras and a sag panir. The madras was very watery, not especially spicy and flavoursome. The chicken had a weird taste like it was past its best. The sag panir look as if it was made with chedder cheese, which was hard after leaving it for 10 mins after it arrived. It only took 30 mine to arrive which is nice for a Friday night. Not too expensive but quality waspoor and I could've made a better curry myself. Poppadomsand mushroom baji were okay

pretty awful, order mixed up with items missing, food half cold, meat chewy, overall very bland , staff seemed disinterested and uncommunicative , will not be returning , if this is what locals eat I am glad I am not resident !!!

Amazing food best I've ever had, service is excellent .must have a try. Havnt had food like this in a very long time. 10 outa 10 staff also very friendly. Will recommend this place :)

We have used Halima for a few years and the quality has never faltered, Prices and food quality are excellent. Definitely the best curry place for miles.

Staying at holdens caravan site with our grandchildren age 10 and 7. Just had the most amazing takeaway meal delivered to us.

By far the best Indian in bracklesham. The food is soooooo good and the owners and staff are really friendly. I wish you could ate in there as well.

Nice food. Chicken tikka masala was too much like a Korma for us but the rest of the food was great. Chicken nagas was v nice. Would use again.

Starters were poor, the lamb in the mixed starter was very chewy and the chicken pakoras were left in deep fried too long.The chicken bhuna had no taste, good job I had mushroom rice to help this dish out. Lamb biryanis was tasty but the lamb itself was dry

What a fab curry, I had chicken garlic chilli delight and hubby had chicken tikka madras, sag aloo paneer, veg nan and onion Bhajis, it was honestly one of the best curry I’ve had for a long time, in Berkshire there’s curry houses coming out of your ears!! They were very polite and delivered to our campsite too, very happy

I ordered a single meal of two parts but this seemed to cause a maths problem, however the meal arrived out hot and plentiful. The meal tasted awesome. Pricing was at the expected level

We ordered a takeaway to be delivered tonight to Ellscott ( a caravan park where we were staying). The driver called to say when he had arrived and I have to say we will be ordering again! I had chicken dansak and my husband had chicken Pathia. It was one of the best Indian takeaways we’ve had. Thanks. Alison and Graham

Been looking for an Indian place that does delicious curry, came across halima and I think I’ve found my curry house. Moved here few weeks ago and have tried other places however halima takeaway is the best so far and I will be sticking to it :D.. would recommend!!

Most Indian takeaways taste the same. Not here. Will only use ths place as each dish tastes different, not just the chille heat. Will deliver local. Friendly. Great food.

Have never considered using Halima before but after reading the reviews thought we would give it a go. We weren't disappointed the food was very tasty hot both in terms of cooking and spices. Very good value for money. We collected paid cash and got 10% discount winners all round. Give it a go.

Delivery arrived 30 minutes late. Delicious food, very tasty, but shame they forgot the 2 naan breads. We were promised a cash refund but it never arrived. A very mixed experience, but disappointing overall

We wanted an Indian takeaway and Halima was recommended by the guy on reception at the camp site. Having taken our order they were well organised, a phone call from the delivery driver to say he was on his way so we could meet him at the reception area within the time that they had said.. Food was excellent, piping hot and plenty of it. Best Indian takeaway I have had in a long time. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

We have uses Halima several times and always found their prices and standard of food to be very good indeed. Halima is a far better Indian style takeaway than those in nearby East Wittering. Highly recommended.

The prices were far higher than all the other establishments so we were expecting top notch food. At £10 above the average for the same meal, we were looking forward to the quality food hugely.

The starter sundries were tasty. Excellent samosas with a delicious bite. Sadly, the chicken and lamb tikka massalas were almost inedible. Far far too sweet and without enough bite to balance it out, it completely ruined it for us. No idea why so much sugar needed to be added. I ended up leaving most of the main meal as it was drenched in sickly sweet sauce. The first time I've ever eaten an Indian meal and felt hungry afterwards. Sadly had to throw away the leftovers. I'd like to support this local business. But can't again. It really feels like we were ripped off. And I say that with a heavy heart.

A small takeaway that serves simple but tasty food. Willing to change fixed menu and cook one offs.

Just had the best onion bhaji's I've had in a really long time! Everything else was delicious too, with friendly and efficient service & delivery.

Only had onion bagee and chicken balti but I reckon it's the best I've had.. Blooming lovely guys..
