Hajar's Shawarma - Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow City

I eat Falafel and hummus all the time, THEY HAVE THE BEST HUMMUS IVE EVER HAD and a generous portion. I asked for extra salad and they gave it to me. 100% recommend the hummus and homemade falafel with homemade bread for £7.50 absolute bargain for a great meal

Fantastic Kebabs, kind and professional staff.

I didn't like the food. We were hungry, looking for halal food. Then we went to hajar shawarma and ordered 2 lamb shawarma but all the meat was raw, there was not proper salad in the shawarma. I didn't like the food at all. I couldn't even eat half of it.had to throw these in the bin.foods are very expensive there. Never recommend this restaurant to any one.

Absolutely unbelievable shawarma!!!!!!!

Extremely poor customer experience. In fairness it was 1am but I ordered a Falafel Shawarma and recieved a mixed meat one! Service was slow and unfriendly. To say the mixed shawarma I received was ‘underwhelming’ would be generous. Would not recommend unless you are absolutely desperate for food!

The driest, stalest, chicken shawarma I’ve ever had. Genuinely almost choked on my food because of how dry it was. If possible I would give it 0 stars.

Food was banging, filling and reasonably priced for the quality 🔥 Shout out to the legend behind the counter, we felt welcome and it was nice to experience staff making sure we were happy (asking if we wanted more sauce, napkins, etc), especially on sauchiehall street where it's often busy with drunk peeps

Chicken Shawarma wrap was a bit rubbish. I’ve tried the Hajar’s down in the merchant city, which was decent. The wrap here was a bit bland, hardly any salad or sauces, chicken was kinda dry. Wouldn’t come back to here.

Ordered Mix Shawarma wrap 🌯, shockingly very cold food. What's the point paying £7.99 for cold, not well cooked food.

Their shawarma and Mince kofta kebab's are one of the few bests in town. However, their Gallogate branch has better taste than this Sauchiehall one.

On Thursday, January 30th, I had an excellent dining experience. I sincerely appreciate the gentleman with glasses for his great service—he was kind and professional. The food was fresh and delicious, making the experience even more enjoyable.

I’ve been there today with my family. We had the BEST shawarma in Glasgow and the biggest moistest (in a good sense) falafel ever. They have fresh made-from-scratch wraps. Sooooooo goooood. I’m definitely going to eat here next time

Bad place, AVOID! Cold food, workers are rude and just a very bad place to eat! Overly priced

The front staff were completely dismissive and rude,racists and acting like we were an inconvenience from the moment we walked in. We waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged, even though the place was nearly empty, and when we finally got seated, our server rolled their eyes at our basic questions about the menu. I noticed the behaviour is same with all the customers, and left feeling completely unwelcome and frankly, embarrassed with such untrained and illeterate staff. Avoid this place at all costs." I have come across other reviews and most of them were about the poor customer service. Hence, I request the owner of this restaurant to change the staff specially a guy with dull complexion(as I don't know his name, i need to mention his physical appearance) who is a bloody racist and he was treating all others very rudely.

I had warp shawarma, and it was very greasy. There was hardly any salad in it. I mentioned the salad to the staff at the counter, but they ignored my concern and did not acknowledge it. This was a very superficial approach. Overall, we had a terrible experience, and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Needed food after a gig at the hydro, midnight and this place came up on Uber eats. So glad I ordered, the halloumi and falafel wrap was so so good. Chips and cheese wer extra cheesy I wasn't a fan of the hummus it was a little bit tangy but still 5 stars for this place as the wrap was so good.

Chicken shawarma is brilliant and staff are friendly.

The sandwich was small and expensive, £6.99, but that is not all, there is much worse than the price.. I asked the worker to divide the sandwich into only two parts for my two children, and he told me that I had to pay an additional pound for the division!!.. However, the sandwich was full of oil. With a strong, stinky smell... I will never repeat this experience...

The first in the world of shawarma

Honestly laughable. Waitress literally couldn't understand what we were trying to order, even when repeating it a few times. STILL ended up with the wrong order! Didn't include the can of coke. No fork or napkins provided. Can you please get someone.who understands English? Thought this would be common sense! Food itself extremely disappointing, lamb chunks (not shwarma) was very fatty and cold. Chips were also cold and had obviously been cooked earlier. Over priced garbage. You should be embarrassed of serving this type of food to the community! Wouldn't recommend and definetly won't return.

Chicken shawarma wrap gave me food poisoning. Specifically, the bacteria from undercooked chicken.
