We ordered 2 chicken shawarma and one chips Honestly the shawarma is so delicious and portion size is big enough The garlic sauce is light and tasty The shawarma is filled with pickles and garlic and onion also tomato You can ask them to remove anything you’d not prefer.. The restaurant is small with few high seats so you can have quick delicious meal and go or you can have it for take away 100% recommend and I’d absolutely come back when I crave shawarma

Disclaimer: I profess I am a huge Hajars fan. With a few venues in the city now it’s becoming a bit of a Glasgow institution. Although I fully justify my bias on the delicious Lebanese food they serve. From his roots at the Shawarma King this chain is mr reliable. Authentic and consistent in its offering, it might not be pitch perfect but it’s also fail safe, delicious and great value for money.

Get the mixed shawarma wrap, you won’t regret it. They toast it, really elevates the texture. The sauce is just perfect 10/10. I’m a little toasted myself but that’s exactly what kebab at midnight is for 👍🏽👍🏽

place took ages to make up chips and cheese almost 20 minute wait, and not many customers in! Went up to ask when it would be ready and no one came to the desk but looked directly at me, ignorant behaviour! 😠😠

Just ordered the Fatoosh Salad and it was actual barking. Usual a big fan of the Hajar Shawarma franchise and being a regular customer, it was genuinely shocking how bad this salad turned out with way too much vinegar and non fresh veggies. Shouldve just got the shawarma instead fs.

Absolutely disgusting. Worse food I’ve had in my life. There is no word to describe how disgusting it was. The smell the taste and the texture was very off putting. The service couldn’t even help. The guy serving was ignorant and rude. Unless you want to make yourself ill then don’t bother coming here

What’s good Glaswegians, as a Fellow Edinburgh local, this fine establishment had the finest food and customer service. The young lad had jokes and said the food wasn’t halal when we all knew it was, lil Muslim banter for us, very enjoyable and created a happy atmosphere full of laughter for the lads and I, much appreciated. As for the food itself, fantastic burger, fantastic chips, and a lovely bottle of fresh Highland water to quench my thirst, All in all definitely 11/10, would definitely come again. I traveled to Glasgow to have a fantastic day with my friends. We had a great evening and decided to come here to end the day. Unfortunately the meal I bought genuinely ruined my day. Greasy, sour and old. The brother charged me £10 and looked me in my eyes and told me to enjoy. Deceived.

Fast, delicious food. Sober or otherwise

Slow delivery, freezing cold food, tiny portions and missed order notes. It’s not hard to add salad and sauce to wraps when requested. Kofta kebab was so dry and tough. Straight in the bin. Save your money and head 2 minutes along the road to shawarma king where they actually take pride in what they do.

I orders chicken shawarma WB and chicken shawarma wrap but that was sooo bad. Chicken was totally dry, I couldn’t eat any of them. I spent £20 and waited 1 hour to get the food and got this. Thanks for this kind of service. Thanks

Shwarma tastes authentic, not like every other swarma in glasgow. No matter where you get a swarma from, they all kind of taste the same... Hajar's has a taste that is very much what you would expect from a swarma in the UAE... so yeah, give it a try. Swarma itself might not be as loaded with meat like all other shwarma places but tastes awesome...

Definitely one of the top spots for shawarma in Glasgow. Falafel were really good too.

If you are going to take 40 minutes to make a simple wrap it might help to tell people 'there's a 40 min wait right now' we waited and waited and staff were rude when confronted came for fast food.

The food was totally uncooked properly, asked for it spicy got it normal, NO NAPKINS AT THE PLACE, THE GUY WORKING THERE IS SO AGGRESSIVE AND ANGRY ALL THE TIME , THE STAFF WERE FITTING TOGETHER SHOUTING AT EACH OTHER, SUCH A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE NEVER AGAIN.

Hajar Shawarma is a good destination for shawarma and grill lovers, as well as falafel. The restaurant gives you options to either have the shawarma with bread or with rice and 2 sides. He also has a beef or chicken burger. The restaurant has its patrons and fans, as it has 4 branches, 3 in Glasgow and one in Edinburgh. The food is not bad, hummas is bad tast . And the staff are friendly. And the service is fast. Had the chicken and rice box tonight and it was delicious would 100% recommend. Good portion size also

We had opted for the lunch menu (between 12:30 to 2:30 pm, they serve the lunch menu). The portion was decent, and the food was delicious. We had one veg lunch -Falafel, moutabbal, hummus and Halloumi in non-veg -chicken shawarma with fries, jalapenos and rice. They served the dishes with a spicy sauce. We enjoyed. Ambience-wise, the restaurant is average.

Kebab turned me into a bulb of garlic.

Delicious shawarma (wraps), but the chips was a little under-seasoned and soggy. The food took a little while to be ready, but the it was tasty! Make sure to get the sauce as well for the chips. The surrounding area (St Enoch square) can be a little sketchy at night. A couple of chairs to sit inside, but people mostly order for takeaway (to-go)

Nice, delicious food and good services

I've been buying from here for many months, but have noticed a decline in portion sizes - so lost a star for that. They do cheap delivery through Deliveroo so it was usually my regular treat but again the poor service from the riders (refusing to go up stairs) has forced me to reconsider any orders from now on - lost a star for that too. Shame really as Hajars used to be good. I'll be going to Shawarma King from now on. They're amazing!

Ordered the usual shawarma from this place and was shocked about how small the portions were, I work across the road and come every day to the street for lunch, decided to try it and was very disappointed, if the owner just realised that there cheapness has deterred me and a whole office of 12 people to come for lunch every other day because they are trying to save the pennies!

Do not order a kebab here. It was hardly edible. Honestly the worst kebab I've ever had. I ordered a wrap. The bread was no good. The meat was dry. I requested garlic, and chili sauce. And there was hardly anything on there. I felt like I was eating a Chinese egg roll. I was looking forward to having a kebab this evening, this ruined my night. Fix your bread, and your meat, and add sauce when the customer asks.

I’ve eaten shawarma in different places around the world. This is right up there for me. It’s around the corner from where I am staying so it was the first thing I tried. Wow! I’ve had (shared with a colleague): 1. Lamb Shawarma Wrap (had as a warrany wrap - with chips) 2. Mixed Shawarma Wrap 3. Kofta Mince Kebab Wrap 4. Shish Tawook Wrap 5. Lamb Warrany Box with chips, naan, and garlic sauce I liked the wraps much better than the box I felt the wraps were well balanced in flavour, juicy meat, and just perfect overall. I felt the box was nice (we call them a halal snack pack in Sydney aka HSP for short!) but it wasn’t as good as the Warrany wrap. You can sit at the bench which has 5 chairs if there is space. The service is what I expect in Sydney, Australia. Culturally, some people may not like it but it is what I grew up with and worked in Auburn, Sydney, Australia. When I went back in the second time, the guys behind the counter recognised me and smiled. Each visit was more and more friendlier. Don’t expect restaurant quality service. If I wanted that, I’ll go to a restaurant. I noticed that they would speak to regulars they knew much more relaxed, especially if they spoke their language, than to strangers…like we all do. Some of the reviews about the service might have been bad luck but I had good service. Only 2 guys serving freshly made Shawarma means that when there are orders in front of you, you’ll have to wait. I think it is worth the wait. It seems pricey to me but it’s right in a central location so everything seems pricey to me, especially with the exchange rate. I don’t mind paying for good tasting food. I would like to see the introduction of a meal deal that includes a can of drink - I think that would be popular to be honest (it would be expected back home) but I am not from here so maybe that’s why. At home, this is best eaten late at night and that’s when we got these - for “dinner” or a late night meal. I was happy to see it open late like back home. I hope to return to Glasgow and try some other food but I will include this Shawarma on my lift of places to come back to! Thank you!

Amazing food very tasty one of the best shaorma in Scotland

Had Mixed Shawarma Warrnay wrap and I would say it was decent. I think it is very expensive at £7.5, I would recommend going for the wrap only at £5.99 if you're not in the mood for fries. Sauces can be asked upon request so I don't know why they highlight Warrnay wrap are served with chips and sauce. Good place for a quick snack.

Horrible service! Passed by and wanted to have a look at the menu. Within 2 seconds 2 men came out of the takeaway screaming at me to get away from their bikes parked right in front of the menu card in the window. Im partially blind and at night I need to get up close to see details, but despite my protesting about wanting to see the menu only, a server from the take away came out screaming to take my picture ( I can only assume that they thought I was wanting to steal their bikes). Just wanted a kebab cause their Sauchiehall Street branch looked great but now I won't bother. Avoid if you have disabilities.

Sehr nettes Personal. Mir hat es gut geschmeckt. Nur leider halte ich die Preise für übertrieben zu teuer. Für eine Box einen Preis von 11,99 Pfund zu verlangen ist schon krass. In Deutschland kostet ein Döner 6 EUR und beim Thailänder kostet Ente süß-sauer 9 EUR. Was ich noch verbessern würde: Soßen zeigen und eine Menu-Karte (ggf. auch digital). Ich würde auch etwas mehr Kräuter anbieten, ansonsten schmeckt es zu sehr nur nach Fleisch.

I'm afraid the whole 'breads freshly made every day' claim is a complete scam. The wraps are not freshly made but come out of a packet. They are quite nice but this is extremely bad and misleading business practice.
