Always a delight to visit here. Since we discovered it by accident over a year ago, we have been back regularly and have sampled most of the menu by now. Especially fond of the breakfast omelettes with delicious side salad. Tip: Phone ahead and book a table to avoid disappointment at busy times.

Called in to the gift shop and decided to stop for a quick lunch bite. Never eaten in here before but what a revelation. Ordered a Coronation Chicken sandwich - and I have to say it was the best sandwich I’ve had out ever! They can be very lack lustre but not this one - really fresh brown bread - top quality filling and plenty of it and served with a tasty side salad and a few crisps. If you get the chance pop in here - you won’t be disappointed.

What a great little cafe! Right in the middle of the Main Street in Hagley. Great coffee and food. My friends and I only had coffee today. The table next to us had amazing jacket potatoes. The presentation looked lovely with a huge amount of filling and salad. We will definitely be popping back for lunch another day. Very clean cafe and toilet. Staff so helpful, big smiles and polite. I think it’s the hub of the village!

If they have a hygiene certificate it needs reviewing urgently!! Hygiene of staff not good visited for coffee and cake lots of outside space but not very big inside and they allow dogs in. Whilst there we witnessed 2 members of staff petting one particular dog they both continued to serve food without following hand hygiene. One particular staff member continued to do this a further 3 times including picking the dog up kissing it and burying her head in the dogs fur she then sat at the table and proceeded to fold napkins at no point did she wash her hands nor take off the fleece she was wearing whilst holding the dog, she then continued serving food and making drinks for customers. The woman who brought the dog in clearly didn’t have control of the dog and at one point the dog entry the food prep area as the lead was too long she also dropped the lead and the dog wandered off. Don’t need to say won’t be going again too expensive not that good and hygiene is sadly lacking.

I often visit for lunch with different friends, sometimes after a long walk, and have sampled various things from the menu over the last year or so, depending on my hunger levels! Everything is lovely and fresh, attractively served and garnished and very good in terms of quality, quantity and value for money. I have a particular love of a good tea cake and the cafe delivers, along with the best raspberry jam, which I am told is home-made. No hesitation in recommending this place.

I’ve been past this cafe numerous times but it never looked that exciting so I didn’t try it and would normally go down to the fig and favour instead. A couple of weeks ago, nursing a slight hangover and needing to kill an hour, I popped in for lunch. I Just ordered a cheddar sandwich on granary and they kindly accommodated my request for chutney. It was top notch. Served with a really nice kettle style chips on one side and a delicious dressed salad on the other. Bread, freshest I’ve had in ages and generous filling. Cant fault it and went back again a week later and it was as consistently good as my 1st visit. Keep up the excellent work :) staff also very friendly.

Called in for a coffee on a busy Sunday morning with people having breakfast. I am not surprised it was busy because the breakfasts smelt, and looked, delicious. When visiting relations, they brought us here for a Sunday morning cup of coffee. What an extremely good cafe this is. Covid regulations are observed; there's hand sanitiser available on arrival, face masks have, and are, worn when not seated, the tables inside and outside are socially distanced and are cleaned after every use. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The coffee was delicious. There was a good choice of breakfasts, and other snacks, on the menu and the food that we saw being served looked well presented. It must have tasted as good as it looked because all thefinished plates collected were empty. Wheelchair and family friendly I would certainly recommend The Hagley Cafe.

I have visited this cafe on several occasions and the food is always good. Breakfast, snack lunch or just a cup of tea. In my opinion place is nicer than the nearby Fig and Favour although it doesn't have such a large menu choice. The staff are usually really friendly. One lady in particular who usually seems to be there on a Friday always has a smile on her face and is so cheery! I wish other Cafe's had such nice staff. All in all, its a very pleasant place to visit and highly recommended. Cleanliness was really good too with the lady I mentioned paying particular attention to cleaning surfaces down. Well done!

Stopped by for an early breakfast after completing the weekly food shop for the family. Well, this establishment has certainly got its act together! Entry is via complimentary hand sanitiser, best to book in advance and your table will be waiting for you. The new decor looks fab, and the staff haven’t lost their cheerfulness and look truly glad to be back at work. Face masks/visors are worn to deliver food and whist eating I watched staff wiping down tables and chairs after diners had finished. Waitress service is very efficient and as usual food is lovely and freshly made on ordering. My avocados with poached eggs was delicious - couldn’t believe they offered a full menu when so many establishments are offering a more restricted choice. Hats off to the Hagley cafe - can’t wait to bring the mum-in-law for lunch next week. I wanted to test the waters for bringing a 91 year old for lunch but feel entirely confident after today’s visit that all will be fine. Finally, be aware you will need to leave a contact number when booking in line with the government’s test and trace policy ..... but if that’s all it takes to be able to enjoy life again, then I don’t think it’s too much to ask. All round a fantastic experience, cant wait to return next week!

I would love to rave about this cafe because I live in the village and was looking forward to the new cafe opening. The ingredients are cheap, cash and carry deep fried bacon and sausage when there is a butchers right next door, I can only presume that price comes before quality and his meat is expensive? The cakes look great but the breakfast is a definite no no, I haven't tried lunch. I hope the chef takes note, there are 3 great local cafes, fig and favour, potting shed and hodge hill so there is enough choice and they all offer quality ingredients.

My partner and I stopped off for a quick bite to eat, it was 2:30pm and very busy. Ordered a jacket potato with chicken tikka and a prawn granary baguette. No jacket potatoes and only 1 white baguette left. This wasn’t a major issue to be honest. I understand when eating establishments get busy they will run out. The main issue is the rude staff, the girl with the dark brown hair in a pony tail will not be winning employee of the month, ever. When you work in a customer service based role you have to constantly be smiling and happy because this reflects on your workplace. Anybody would think we were asking her for a million pounds. She was so miserable and provided only blunt one word answers to the lady behind the counter with short hair. We then settled for a prawn sandwich and I had the remaining white baguette with chicken tikka. The prawn sandwich was a little soggy. It’s nice to know they wash the prawns but maybe dry them before making a sandwich. There was no sauce, that could be tasted either so very bland. The chicken tikka is not chicken tikka. My baguette consisted of tikka style mayo spread on thinly and then some brown chicken. I expect brown meat but not all of it. It was visually unappealing and taste was no better. I asked the rude girl when she put the baguette down if it was chicken tikka. I asked this because I could not see the minimal amount of mayonnaise at the time so looked just look like plain chicken. To which she glared and just replied yes and walked off. I left my baguette and we promptly left the cafe never to return.

Our lunch came with a nice side salad and some crisps to finish off the plate. All in all, a nice place for lunch and great value for money.

A happy small spot for a cofee call, breakfast or lunch. Get in early for this. Summer sees tables outside.

We come from bearwood most weekends for breakfast. Its always freshly made. Piping hot. Served beautifully. Always clean and welcoming and very fairly priced. Makes eating out a lovely experience. Usually order a bacon a black pudding sandwich and a small breakfast no egg. Breakfast for kings!

I reviewed lots of places to go for breakfast before choosing here. I live in Stourbridge so this is within 5 minutes. I didn't want to go to a pub chain for overdone breakfast so went here. We arrived at 09:30 on the dot and ordered drinks and 2 large breakfast. Drinks came immediately and the food 5 minutes later. It was all fresh, no grease and tasted superb. By 10:00 it was jam packed and there were no tables left. I will definitely be using this place for breakfast and lunch again soon. Thank you for great food and great service!

It's only small and homely but the locals obviously love it, it's always busy. We have been for breakfast several times and the rule seems to be whatever you fancy we can do it, all at a reasonable price. The staff are very friendly, the quality is excellent and the atmosphere is of welcome. Really good. Try it. I have attached a photo of the normal breakfast (larger is available)

Mandy from the Hagley Cafe catered for our Golden Wedding Anniversary party last weekend. We had 40 people of various ages in our garden, with a vintage style tea. We supplied the crockery, as we wanted to use real porcelain, but Mandy did the rest. It was a wonderful afternoon, the cakes were tiny bite size as we wanted, tiny freshly made scones and sandwiches. The food was excellent and Mandy and her helpers could not do enough to accommodate our complicated requests, both before and during the event. The service was second to none, prompt, efficient and courteous. All was wonderfully cleared up afterwards. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Went here recently with some friends for breakfast. Absolutely fantastic range of things to have on the menu and the prices were very affordable. In the end went for a bacon/sausage sandwich and a cappucino and both were excellent. The three people I was with also had a lovely breakfast. The place itself is cosy and chilled-out, perfect for a lazy Sunday morning!

Called in for a Sunday morning breakfast and a pot of tea. Really enjoyed a quality breakfast, super service and relaxed atmosphere, more importantly nothing was too much trouble including ordering Gluten Free!... this included gluten free toast and mixing of breakfast items. Top service, will be back.

Eaten here a few times now for breakfast which has always been lovely Recently didn't fancy full breakfast @£5.50 So looked at the poached eggs and something on toast I had beans and mushrooms @4.95 which reads as in the menu Only to be charged more than a breakfast ???? Was told £4.95 is just for poached egg on toast anything else is 30p per item which isn't how menu reads ??? Surely this is not correct on many levels .... If they insist this surely breakfast would be priced the same when clearly not ? Only 55p more for bacon & sausage tomatoes ???? Shame as nice cafe good quality breakfast non sensical pricing

Nicely decorated, compared to it's closest rival it's more intimate, nicely space tables and doesn't have the high noise volume.I thought it was a little over priced for what it was, but I suppose it's the area. Unfortunately despite being quiet my toast arrived cold. I had a pot of tea with only one tea bag, I don't like strong tea but even the last cup had barely any colour to it. The toasted teacake was very small, which wasn't reflected in the price.I went because the photo of French toast on this website looked delicious, but it wasn't on the menu. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Went here for breakfast. Service is slightly slow for drinks - table next to ours got their full English before their pot of tea. Kitchen made a mistake on our order but staff couldn't have been more contrite & it was quickly remedied. Quality of food was excellent. Would definitely eat here again.

This place is good for breakfasts but do not stray away from these! Ordered Fish cakes and was very disappointed. Expected for the price fluffy potato and fish instead they were small and greasy. The portion was very small too.

A well run café providing excellent food and drinks. We visit Hagley Café at least once per week. It has a busy atmosphere and excellent service from the staff who make you feel at home there. "As good as it gets" as the saying goes.

We visit The Dry Spy quite frequently for in my opinion, the best Sunday lunch locally. Last night, along with friends we visited on a Wednesday evening to try the fixed price midweek special menu. Absolutely brilliant, plenty of choice, great to have option of 1 = £12, 2 = £15 or 3 =£18 priced courses, all good size portions. The steak on mains is fabulous, as was the fish & chips. Staff so welcoming & attentive.

Well what can I say! Finally got the chance to try this lovely cafe. Went with a friend for breakfast, the menu was great, lots to choose from, we had the Courtyard breakfast which was lovely, this consisted of 1 sausage, 1 bacon, hash brown, mushrooms, tomato’s, beans and toast and I’ve got to say it was top quality food and made fresh. Fantastic little cafe. I will be returning to try the afternoon tea. Highly recommended! 👍

This place has been closed for a few years now due to the owner sadly passing away unexpectedly. She was a lovely lady and in the short time that she owned the place, she transformed it.

Absolutely fabulous food at very cheap prices. Proper homemade food, including homemade chips! Eaten here a couple of times and both times have been amazing
