Came for lunch, staff very inattentive didn't come to the table. Served very poor potato soup, taste terrible and thin like water. Expensive lunch for small grated cheese sandwiches. Need to do much better, seemed overstaffed for no one actually being there apart form us. It must be jobs for the boys on NT.

Popped in for lunch while walking at Haddo. It was quite busy with about 10 people in front of us in the queue for lunch but we decided to wait anyway. After about half an hour we were wishing we hadn’t as we were still in the queue but reluctant to leave now after waiting so long. Two people were at the front taking orders and making coffees, while others were seen in what I assume was the kitchen making orders. When we finally reached the front of the queue we were told they had no soup left, we decided to order paninis and we’re told it would be another 15-20 minute wait, I also wanted a coffee which I asked the older woman working if I could get this with the food, her response was “it will be cold” she was making it now regardless. By this time there was only about 2 or 3 people behind us in the queue. I had no option but to take the coffee then which was obviously finished when the food was eventually ready about half an hour later. In the end the food was average, can’t go far wrong with a panini which was served with a mediocre salad. We won’t be visiting the cafe again, although the house and grounds are great. After leaving we realised there was Mrs Smiths just beside the car park where we could have bought baguettes for half the price.

The yellow split pea soup was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous. Cheese scone also excellent. The staff member who served us was lovely. Only negative - the ambience is a little bleak. Maybe a warmer colour for the walls would help.

Always need a coffee, scone and lemonade when visiting Haddo. The Service is great. Nice to sit both inside and outside. Be sure to get a coffee or tea to go while walking the grounds. Highly recommend!

Myself and my wife ordered the Macaroni for lunch it came with a loose leaf salad and Crisps. The macaroni was tasteless it required seasoning and the cheese was stringy and also no flavour. Coleslaw had very little mayo and was bland. The loose leaf salad was very fresh but on asking for a dressing we were told they didn’t have any. This cost £17 for two macaroni’s and two waters, certainly not worth the money. We noticed that Mrs Smiths was busy…..!!! Need major improvements before the tourists arrive.

Dropped in for a coffee and cake after visiting the House . Warm and welcoming ,light and clean with friendly and helpful staff .A nice array of home baking was available so our party decided on the fruit scones and the Teabread . The Teabread was an absolute revelation moist and full of flavour ,simply superb and fruit scones were good too. There was a small but attractive lunch menu which we will try next time we visit .

Right next to where we stayed this little cafe was calling out for us to get coffee and cake. The cake offering was very good with lots of choice and the same with the drinks. Both were delicious - however, the service was so slow due to there being one member of staff trying to manage everything with a queue forming outside and orders coming in on an app. There needs to be more people helping.

Went in for a quick take away ice cream for me and the kids. There were 2 young girls behind the counter. 1 person was paying for their sit down meal and a mum and push chair were at the ice cream. Seemed to be struggling with Apple Pay and took an age to serve the ice cream. The other staffer was making coffees. A queue started forming and the mum left. Unfortunately I was ignored and the person who just walked on got served. I walked out and got served instantly next door. Not the first time happened in there. I won’t be back

Amazing pub! Brilliant location, where Peaky Blinders and the remake if Whisky Galore was filmed. Lovely friendly staff, great atmosphere and the locals were so welcoming. Served a great pint of Belhaven Best too!

Stayed here for just 1 night while exploring Balmoral and the local area. Room was lovely with a stunning view over the Loch. Even had time to try the golf which was a nice little course. Found the owners to be nice and friendly. Would stay here again.

Was having a family Christmas lunch there were 4 adults and 2 children, we were welcomed in,all proper procedures were adhered to, server asked about allergies before we ordered great but went down hill fast from there 3 of the adults had carvery we were asked what meats we wanted 2 wanted all 3 1 wanted gammon and turkey that was all we were asked. When the meal came she did not know what was on plate.Potatoes, vegetables etc were already on plate not in dishes to take what you wanted (as we were not asked what we wanted) the food was not even look warm and there were very full plates went back, it was not even asked when the server saw the full plates if there was a problem, as this was a Christmas family lunch and £60 we were very disappointed and would think twice about visiting again.
