The best customer service I have received in such a long time. I was visiting Blackpool for work and needed a quiet cafe, they gave me a seat in the corner. Staff were so friendly and the food was perfect. The lady with short blonde hair was so attentive, it’s so rare to experience such amazing customer service recently, also selling local produce, highly recommend to visit!

We just wanted a good cold fuzzy drink.

Organised a breakfast for 20 people, Jon was really helpful with booking everything in and working out the pre-order. Food was excellent + fresh! Coffees tasted great too! Thanks to the team for lovely service on the day too!

We came here for breakfast as our friends love it and as we’re new to the area we decided to give it a go. The lady (maybe the owner?) was very happy to help with my dairy allergy and helped me by cooking things separate and gave me vegan butter so I could have buttery toast instead of it being dry again. The food itself was good and I’ll be back soon.. for cake! Lots of cake!

Cracking food, lovely staff, nice inside with the fresh veg and other bits you can buy, owners are beautiful people.

Very tasty food with a great range of dishes on offer for everyone's breakfast tastes.

The prices were super high for such poor quality ingredients, the waiting time for a breakfast was super long considering there were only 2 other tables in use when we ordered and somehow everyone that ordered after us was served before us, and they ordered more complex food. The price structure doesn't actually show the truth, for instance eggs are included in breakfast but whenbyou order they charge you extra. Toast is not included but you get it without asking and are charged extra and a drink is not included, plus you have to beg for sugar. The order came wrong, twice, and I got a broken cup that was also dirty. And the staff didn't have a clue what they were doing with regards to how to address it. As for the atmosphere, the walls are covered in diabolical art that seems to be overpriced snd the only reason the place exists. And the grocers... General supermarket goods at triple the price if not more. All in, I will never go there again

Loved this place! Excellent food and coffee, staff were so helpful and friendly.

Liked the look from outside and definetly not disappointed when went in. Service 1st class. Shown straight to a table and given menu. Bit different to what I'm used to but both myself and wife blown away by choice & quality of what we had. Certainly go back next time in Blackpool.

I'm so sorry to do this negative review. When Hive first opened I thought it was the bees knees. Best cafe in Blackpool. Loved it. Came regularly. The staff, one lady in particular was the star of the place. I since moved to Morecambe. Popped back to Hive after 2 and a half years and I'm sorry but it's really gone down hill. It's looking really tatty and tired. We were shocked The upholstery on the green chairs is filthy and the once really appealing display of produce veg etc is now a one fridge affair at back of shop. When we popped in it was very quiet yet our wait for coffee was 20 minutes. The cakes we had had were not good but the coffee which we always loved was still lovely! Needs a total refurbishment.

Food and coffee amazing. Everything fresh and cooked well. Will be our new spot when we visit Blackpool from now on. We had coffees, eggs royale and ice tea. Would recommend.

Looks cool and is very clean inside, took 30 mins for two sausage butties and unfortunately the sausage was raw, shame because compared to some cafe's in Blackpool it looks superb.

We aren't local to Blackpool, but if we were Hive would be my regular cafe. The food is excellent, the staff are friendly and the coffee is amazing. Hive is everything I want from a cafe.

A little disappointing but probably better than any alternatives in the area. Food was decent but took way too long to serve. After spending £60 pound for breakfast (2 adults and 4 kids), was surprised to be told that toast was extra for the vegetarian breakfast and maple syrup was extra for the pancakes and strawberries topping that was ordered. I don’t appreciate all these extra charges for what I expect to be standard. Cappuccino was lukewarm. Overall the food was tasty though. I would come back if I knew the service was faster and that they didn’t stinge on ‘extras’.

Where do I even start? I hate leaving bad reviews, especially since it might’ve just been a rough day for the staff, but my experience at Hive was seriously disappointing. My partner and I were in Blackpool for a couple of days and thought we'd give Hive a try—it looked cool, and we were craving a good coffee. We showed up around 10:30am on a Sunday, so we knew it would be busy. When we got there, they told us there’d be about an hour wait for food. No big deal, we figured we’d have a coffee first anyway. We ordered two flat whites, but they basically came out as lattes. Not ideal, but hey, the place was busy, so we let it slide. We ordered food around 11am and were reminded of the wait, which we were still okay with (50 minutes to an hour). About 45 minutes in, some guy and his family were upset about their food and the guy actually stormed into the kitchen to yell at the chef. Totally uncalled for, especially since he’d already gotten a refund, so we were pretty confused. After that drama, we were about 50 minutes into our wait and starting to get seriously hangry, but we kept waiting. We saw food being brought out, but nothing for us. After another 15 minutes, I finally approached one of the staff members. I felt bad after what had just happened, but by then we’d been waiting way too long. The staff member apologized, mentioned they were short a chef, and said it’d be another 5 minutes. They offered us some free drinks (two oat flat whites that were actually a bit better this time). Our food finally arrived at 12:36pm (after a 1 hour and 36 minute wait), and by then we were starving. But the food was such a letdown. The avocado was black, the portions were tiny—a spoonful of beans, a spoonful of mushrooms—and everything was drenched in oil. For a £10.50 vegan breakfast (plus 75p extra for toast), I expected way more. I’ve worked in hospitality, so I get that things can spiral out of control, but this place felt like a sinking ship from start to finish. I really hope it was just a one-off. We left feeling pretty dissatisfied but thanked the staff anyway.

In Blackpool for a couple if days and was recommended this place as it was dog friendly. Food was good, staff were very friendly. A very relaxed atmosphere and we were made to feel very welcome

Food is really good very tasty. A little bit expensive and the portions arnt very good if am being honest was a little disappointed by that. Lady on the till was very friendly and great with my six year old. Would return again would be great if the poritons sizes improved.

Had the full English. Spot on. Misses had the veggie full English, said it was the best veggie sausages she had ever had.

Indeed a great quality cafe. We got premium breakfast for a rather highly priced £10.95 a plate. Quality of ingredients is so much better than the cheap rubbish used by other cafes in comparison. Still, we were quoted a 45 minute wait (!!!) to receive our ordered food. This is really not good enough, we thought our stomachs were going to implode waiting for the food to come out. I even considered popping out to Greggs to get something to tide us over. I could see only two people working in the kitchen, it really wasn't a surprise why service was so consumer confoundingly slow. It needs 3 times the number of people to produce a timely generation of food from the kitchen. Big improvement needed there. That being said, there is a focus on things made there in the shop itself. Even the brown sauce and ketchup are inspired. Cakes are homemade and taste like it. Again prices are very, very high Unbelievable for Blackpool really. Interest rates are coming down and prices are beginning to fall, hopefully we can see a reflection of this in pricing on the restaurant and leisure industry.

Visited with friends on a busy Saturday. Coffee & cake. Nothing to fancy, just right. Even a gallery upstairs, just a little different. Nice time.

Fab staff, comfy seats I had the passionfruit cheesecake delightful.

Ok good but can not cook a soft egg asked on 3 separate occasions for soft eggs all were hard, shame.

Great customer service can’t doubt that but the cafe itself needs some TLC. It’s abit too expensive for what you get and waiting time was 30 minutes.

Just had a really nice breakfast here. Lots of bacon and perfect fried eggs. The best thing about the place though is the staff. Friendly, efficient and remembered us from the day before. Highly recommend if you're in Blackpool

Saturday brunch, was extremely busy which speaks to the quality of food on offer. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. We did wait around 40 minutes for our food, but we were warned upon arrival that this would be the case. The food was well worth the wait. The menu was extensive with options for all tastes and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

A regular stop when in Blackpool, only had coffee this visit, which is much better than the big coffee chains. Busy as usual but the staff are are all friendly with a nice atmosphere. If you call in, check out the locally grown produce for sale inside the shop.

It was such a lovely café! The staff are some of the nicest I've ever seen: cheerful, extremely welcoming, lively, and very attentive to you. I went twice to work on my computer and it really is the perfect environment and the music is minimal so perfect for concentrating. Also the hot drinks I had were great! I highly recommend this place. They put you in a good mood in the morning.

I Habe to share my view on here as I have been before to this cafe.was most annoyed at the one person,see last Nov ,who openly criticised this cafe .the owner works tirelessly and the staff ,all of whom are very friendly there was a great selection of everything .I would have had a cake had I not long had breakfast.for me this is a very popular cafe and will always come here when I'm in blackpool.well.done to you and youre lovely staff

We waited 45 minutes for our food. The service was fine. Food was bland and hadnt been seasoned. Stand out star was the home made brown sauce.

Hive is a must visit for us when we’re in the area. The whole family love the menu selection and the white hot chocolates are a hit with the kids. The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. It’s the perfect place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The desserts are amazing too. A real treasure in the town centre! Highly recommend that everyone visits, especially as the prices are so reasonable too. You’re missing out if you don’t visit!

Also doubles as a little farmers market with a huge variety of fruit, veg, pasta, sauces, chutneys, wines, syrups and loads more which is perfect for any home chefs! always a friend of hive, one of the best spots in blackpool.

Excellent gluten free options. Not obvious on the menu but ask and you find out they have gf swops for sandwiches and bagels, Gf quiche and cakes.

I find Hive a unique blend of coffee, light dining (including cakes) and art. I often call in for a coffee and if rushing will take a bag of ground away instead. I particularly like the art collaboration with the local community, and connection with the gallery upstairs. I could sit in the window seats all day and watch the world go by!!

Two builders sitting out the front told us it was the "best scran in Blackpool" and they were as good as their word. The food, the drinks, the staff, the decor, all outstanding. It's a long return trip from Melbourne AU to Blackpool U.K. but I kid you not, we'll be back here first morning for breakfast.

Lovely food and great to have a good amount of vegan options. The wait was incredibly long, but was made aware of this when ordering. Not sure if cakes were Vegan, but they look fabulous. The coffee was also great. I'd definitely return, however, maybe earlier on a weekend

Been twice - yesterday 17/11 I went, nobody to greet before sitting, staff were too busy to seat people - they were also too busy to clean tables - I had to clean my own table yesterday Yesterday Ordered vegan breakfast and coffee Never got the coffee so I asked for a refund Went today 18-11-23 - asked for my mushrooms and the sausages to look “well done” Received the order and the sausages and mushrooms looked “anaemic” Please listen to your orders! The alternative coffee is charged at 40p Another 35p if you want it hotter for say a baby chino 75p for a piece of toast Had a word with the manager chef guy - as already coffee is not expensive and profits are made well over - so to charge 40p for alternate milk but you don’t charge for dairy? Instead of your expensive overheads - more time and passion needs to go into your general service, the quality of your listening and the quality of what you are serving - £10 plus for a breakfast…. Not recommended I’ve had better breakfast in a 2-3 star hotel I won’t be returning again - I think twice is enough

OK but talk slooowwwwwly so the staff will listen and get your order right. Wrong order brought to the table and then removed. Wrong coffee, no milk served (2nd attempt). Cakes fresh and ok. 2 coffees and 2 cakes (£13.70). May give another go but….

Called in for a drink ,met. At door by a young guy who was very welcoming. Showed us to our table ,explained how to order .drinks arrived. I had hot chocolate, absolutely delicious. Husband had a latte.great selection of cakes .also sold fresh veg and eggs .Will definitely call again .

Had a great breakfast here around 10am on a Sunday. Nothing was too much trouble and food came quickly. Olivia was very helpful when she brought the order and even laughed at my friend's cheesy jokes

Usually a very good experience at this cafe, regularly visit and never really experienced any issues. Unfortunately the last two visits have ended in us walking out, after spending 20 mins choosing what to order and then queuing to only be told it will be 40 mins wait for a bagel is ridiculous. If they knew all food orders would be a 40 minute wait, why not let us know as we were being seated?
