Such a cute little place! The food was lovely (love the free water station) The staff were really nice and made me feel very comfortable. Would definitely come back ☺️

Wow what a find, worth the walk from the Young V&A. Excellent vegan cafe, great staff and service. Good selection of drinks, cakes and food. Given an extra slice of cake as the first slice was apparently too small, I would have never known. Great prices and menu.

I was pleasantly surprised to see that this place has gone entirely plant based. The atmosphere is casual and everyone was really nice. The food was a 10/10 as per usual.

The cakes were nice but everyone stared at us as one of the staff shouted at us at the table.... this is inconceivable, customer service ruined the food. Should have read reviews before coming as many of the reviews talk about rudeness of staff and unfortunately this was our experience

Nice portion of food however very long wait for food, had gone cold, rude staff don't look like they want to be there. Feels uncomfortable to approach them to ask for things. Did not complain as did not feel comfortable to approach staff.

We just came with my friend ordered our drink and we were waiting for our food when the manager or whoever this loser guy is, shouts at us telling us we can’t use our laptops when there is no sign that we can’t use our laptops but even then who does he think he is to be shouting at people.

This place is great to spend the afternoon eating vegan treats and working in your computer. Looking forward to spending more time there!

The menu here is a total hidden gem for vegans! Really reasonable food and coffee and the team are lovely. Vegan eggs Benedict was a rare treat and the sandwiches are also great.

Lovely community cafe with ambient vibes and friendly staff, would recommend for food, coffee and laptop work. Celiac-friendly too! I recommend the pink pancakes! 🦩 Also, the (non-celiac-friendly) mac and cheese was recommended by a glutinous friend. 🧟‍♀️

Excellent vegan options, at affordable price. We had the home made salad from the bar, a sandwich and coffee/matcha. All highly recommended!

me & my girlfriend enjoyed our breakfast & coffee. not the cleanest cafe in the world but it was fine. 2/3 hours later my girlfriend spent the next 4 hours hugging a toilet bowl in boxpark shoreditch - i’ve never seen her that poorly. as she was completely unable to catch a tube, i trekked across london back to our car, drove an hour back to boxpark to pick her up, then proceeded to make the 3 hour journey back home. this wasn’t a pleasant journey for her, & we basically lost an entire day of our london weekend away. now we’re back home & i’m the one who’s feeling rough. i would advice caution visiting gallery cafe - it isn’t worth it.

Seriously poor experience that felt like a failure of quality control. We had the pink pancakes 2 with poached apple (they ran out of poached pear) , almonds and agave, 1 with gooseberry jam and coconut yoghurt. The pancakes were disturbingly dry, the poached apple tasted mainly of vinegar with a bit of spice, and the swamp of almond flakes and agave on top added nothing to the, just wasted money and wasted food. Please taste your dishes before they go out, this could so easily have been Improved. get rid of the almond agave, and keep the berry and yoghurt option, halve the yoghurt and jam and add some fresh fruit can be seasonal but could just be just 3 strawberries cut in half, even better ditch all the jam and add a spoon of raspberry coulis, a tiny sprinkle of flaked almonds to finish off don't drown us. make the pancakes fresh and they are less likely to dry out, don't rely on syrups or jams to make pancakes moist, rely on things that are actually moist.

I went here earlier today as it was recommended by Google for Bethnal Green. I had the Mac and Cheese which was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely.

Lovely little café - nice food and friendly service. Especially great to visit in summer since the outdoor area at the back is gorgeous on a warm sunny day.

We visited for lunch after going to the Young V&A and I'm so glad we did! The food was all delicious and portion sizes were great. Children are well catered for and we even went back for the doughnuts too. Such a great find and we'll definitely be back!

Wonderful vegan restaurant, fantastic food every time. Unfortunately most of their savoury food was sold out by the time we went there and when they changed over to the lunch menu, one of the mains sold out instantly. Hopefully they make more of the savoury food at the weekends. Regardless of things selling out, I would go here every time I'm in Bethnal Green

Great food, best ambience you could get in Cafes around east London

What a cutie! This was our first choice to have brunch on a sunny Saturday in London. The English breakfast was beyond perfect with the grilled tempeh, scrambled tofu, the spicy potatoes crunchy and soft with the fresh tomatoes on the side… yummy. Also, we asked the bread with the tofu and hollandaise sauce and, I cannot describe it better than: marvelous. To finish, we tried the blondie and the lemon cake. The blondie was delicious without a lot of sugar which was a huge highlight for me 🌱💚

The best chai tea latte I've ever had! It tasted homemade for me. Loved the back garden especially during the warm weather last Saturday. The staff are very nice and friendly.

Great vegan cafe with nice 'healthy' options. I chose a small salad plate food where one can add 4 options - these are limited though and would be good to stretch it out (the large plate has falafel and other extras you cannot choose on the small). Was a good lunch, but could be tastier with sauces or more seasoning. The cake my friend had was a bit on the dry side but fine with the nice latte.

The garden is amazing, the vegan food is amazing (love the full English breakfast) and thy have vegan pastries! Also is a really nice place and it is always full. One of my favourites choices for vegan brunch in east London. Try to go all the time

We had super healthy and delicious salads. And the chai latte was really nice sweet and spicy.

I am glad this place survives: it is a good addition to the neighbourhood. I had a full breakfast here, and it was hardly exciting. The muzak was too loud and seemed to comprise rap. Why, I wonder, do places like this think we all want intrusive background music?

Always a wonderful location to visit. Been eating here for over 20 years at least. Returned after a long time this weekend to discover it thankfully remains the same and not devoured by local developments in Bethnal Green! Super tasty food choices, all healthy vegan options. Sat outside in the garden and felt a world away from the hustle of everyday life outside on the main streets. It's a wonderful little mecca to relax for a moment. I love the large salads and cakes. Yes, I can't resist the sweet treats :-)

Spent a day here with some colleagues working from their beautiful garden out back - really lovely and just a great place. My vegan friend was happy to be able to order anything off their menu and the service was wonderful.

Bit of a shambles. Ordered a coffee which hadn't been made 20 minutes later and the staff clearly couldn't keep track of customers or orders so I just left coffeeless and £2.80 poorer. Also don't sit by the windows in the rain, they leak.

Best vegan breakfast I’ve ever had!

Sloppy cooked breakfast, awful tempeh slabs would be better replaced by quality vegan sausages. Everything super salty. Pancakes like sponge, bitter chocolate sauce with a whole chopped up pear on top. The kids refused to eat any. Wish I'd saved £40.

The woman that served me is a true angel (thank you again 🥺)! The place is great, i felt good even though i'm pretty stressed with people in general. I really recommend it !! And about the food, it's really tasty 😋🤤, thanks :))

A brunch here is a must whenever we come to London. The English breakfast is very good, the croissant was excellent, however the pancakes were too chewy .. Also try the back garden to spend a relaxing moment eating good vegan food!

Really cute, artsy café. Space out front in the sun, nice spacious atmosphere inside if you need to get some work done and also has a little garden area out back. Had some lovely homemade lemon and poppy seed cake, which was delicious.

Kimchi salad is amazing, this place is minutes away from my place but the girls that work in the cafe are absolute angels, I love their bean salad and have adopted a lot of their flavours and dishes into my own cooking. 8/10! ❤️‍🔥

Un sitio tranquilo con un jardín precioso. Estuvimos 5 días de vacaciones en Londres y vinimos todas las mañanas a desayunar. Tanto el café como la comida (cookies, muesli, Donuts...) están riquísimos. Los camareros agradables, muy recomendable. Y además, es dog-friendly.

I am not vegan, but I loved the food here. I went on a Sunday morning and had the full English breakfast - marinated tempeh, beans, mushrooms, half a tomato, scrambled tofu, roast potatoes and sourdough toast - it all tasted great. Loved this cafe!

Favourite London vegan cafe. Easy going place, good food and kid friendly.

The venue is the main draw. Nice conservatory and outdoor seating. Occasional events. Food and drink are vegan. Prices were fair, and hot simple food was very filling.

Great atmosphere, fantastic staff

We had tea and chocolate cake here on our first evening of a 3-day break. Very nice but a bit sweet for my taste. Then we had breakfast here every morning. First day full English, tasty & kept us going until 5 pm but oversalted, which wasn't the case on previous visits, albeit about 5 years ago. I'd have it again but only with an assurance that it wouldn't be so salty, The second day, not wanting to be too full to do justice to a meal with friends booked for 12.30, I had pancakes. They were just as filling but we had a good walk to work off some calories. I wish I'd asked why they were pink. On the third day we were due to visit friends for a meal so I had just hot chocolate and an almond croissant, both really delicious but also filling. I don't know how my husband managed a pain au chocolat as well. It was so good to find a really decadent vegan almond croissant and I wish I'd bought a couple to eat on the train on the way home in the afternoon. Cheerful and friendly service but one blob deducted for the hard chairs.

I probably wouldn't go again. I'm vegan / vegitarian so I was happy when I found this place! The coffee was nice. I like the decor and the overall vibe of the place. It was absolutely jammed packed when we got there. The food was subpar , nothing to write home about and actually cold. The thing that just makes me not want to go again is the dirt. They did have gender neutral bathrooms which I always love to see.

I visited Gallery Cafe for a breakfast. The place is 100% vegan which is amazing, and there are plenty of breakfast options. There is a nice terrace and the customer service was friendly and fairly quick. 4 stars instead of 5 because the place looks a bit run down and needs refurbishment. Also, I ordered a cappuccino & the full English Breakfast. My cappuccino was great but the breakfast was just average. Next time I will try something else. Positive experience overall & will certainly be back.

lovely cosy cafe and felt homely inside! I enjoyed Marina's Curry which was tasty and filling, however my friend wasn't too satisfied with the vegan sausage sandwich she ordered - the sausage was quite undercooked. cappuccinos are very reasonably priced for london (£2.90!) and service from Zoey in particular was great. was super busy the whole time which shows how popular it is but the manager did seem a little stressed which changed the atmosphere a bit.

Such a lovely coffee and lunch! Not only is everything vegan, but they have delicious gluten free bread! My friend and I were so relieved to find this cafe. The staff were so nice and really quick with the coffees and food. This was a welcome change after we waited close to an hour at Love Shack for them to seemingly forget our orders. So glad we found Gallery Cafe!

The english breakfast was delicious. Tempeh tasted great ! And the Croissant was one of the best I ever had !

It used to be a nice place to enjoy a coffe and spend a good time but lately its not, the food qualty is not the same, and loudly and annoying conversations by the counter waiter and a loudly client ruin the moment

Great little vegetarian/vegan café that we discovered on our last day in london. Friendly (and hardworking!) staff, good coffee and great vegan sausage sandwiches .. get there early if you want the vegan full english breakfast though!

I've been here twice. Once was great. Once awful and that's stuck with me hence the two stars. I went with two non vegans to try and show them you can have a great vegan breki and that plan flopped. The woman on the till told us she'd only had 1hr sleep and made the most disgusting undrinkable chai late which I had to take back, and I never do that! She said oh this keeps happening 🤦‍♀️. Also the tempeh 'sausages' were absolutely disgusting. I felt like I was a vegan from the 90s forcing myself to eat horrible food because theres no other option. Also the pastry tasted stale. And all that for 15 quid. Put me off going here again which is a shame because I really loved it the first time.

Tasty food, all vegan, fair portions. It was raining so the outside sitting area was not available, and it was quite stuffy inside. Not wheelchair accessible as there are some stairs at the entrance. The food is tastier than it looks.

It was a real treat to find this vegan cafe on my journey. Delicious pancakes, friendly and kind staff and a nice chilled Vibe. They have a great selection of cakes, sandwiches and pastries too. Would recommend a visit.

Reliable place for vegan coffee and lunch - it's been here for years and continues to be welcoming and delicious. It has a community feel and is very embedded in the local landscape, linked to St Margaret's house which is worth researching if you live nearby. The garden out back is lovely if it's warm enough to sit outside. You can help yourself to tap water from the little faucet by the bar. Most recently (Sep 2022) I had Mac and cheese with focaccia garlic bread and a little salad - really great value at about £7.50.

Good vegan food here. The pancakes are really really good at this location. Also they make a really awesome Americano. Don't forget to pick up a chocolate chip cookie to go. Very quiet peaceful location.
