Gustum Bar & Restaurant in Liverpool

It was my first time to visit the place, the food so tasty and delicious and big portions compared to other Turkish restaurants in Liverpool deserve every penny they asked for 👌 high recommended,, The service was excellent, the staff were great and very lovely friendly and helpful, The start’s so delicious and the main food super tasty ,, , booked a table for 13people and all the food been served in the same time 👌👌. The only thing I would say it’s the car park as you had to park between the houses and took me around 15min just to find a place 🫣🫣 but other than this highly recommended xx

We had a shared platter of food between 3 adults and 2 children 10/12 years old for starters we ordered main meals if we would have known how much food we would have been given with the sharing platter we would have ordered smaller main dishes, we had so much lovely food left over, the staff gave us boxes to take it home, it actually made a further 2 adult meals, extremely good value, we will definitely be going back 😁❤️

We went with my daughter and granddaughter who lives nearby but hadn't been before. The greeting at the door was lovely and genuine. Shown to our table and drinks ordered. The menu is quite extensive and in Turkish with English explanations. It was fun trying to pronounce the names of the Turkish dishes. The food is absolutely wonderful, from the pitted olives to the ice cream for my Granddaughter. I ordered a grilled lamb dish which came with rice and salad. It was delicious. The staff are so friendly and the food is amazing. I will be back soon.

Horrible portions on the lunch menu, got a Shish kebab for 11 quid a got 5 pieces of malteaser sized dog excrement lookin lamb. Wont be going at lunch times again

Beautiful Food Last came June 2022. Food is still fantastic . The starters really do sell this restaurant. Hummus is incredible and the bread really is the nicest Turkish bread we’ve had . Flavours of the meat are wonderful. Staff are attentive and friendly . We adore halloumi fries and these were incredible . It’s a great local restaurant that serves good food. Take aways from here are also excellent as we’ve enjoyed a few .

Found the food bland and very limited for a vegan not to mention a general hostile environment from the all male staff, wouldn’t recommend.

Went on Saturday for my sisters 40th birthday meal. Lovely atmosphere and food was delicious. Service was very good, attentive staff even though it was a Saturday night and very busy.

Amazing food! It was heaving when we arrived which provided a great atmosphere! Staff are so attentive and lovely! We started with the king prawns which were incredible. The homemade bread which is provided is delicious! I had the Iskender which has the most delicious lamb! My husband has the chefs special for one which he thoroughly enjoyed. Can’t wait to bring more if my family here

Delicious food, friendly service from staff, we had the early bird menu, which was good value for money. They have added expenses, on menu 1 dot next to item means extra £1.50 There are another 2 dots, which means more expenses. The only extra cost I occurred was £1.50 for the squid, which was worth it, best I've ever tasted. Best liquer coffee I've tasted in a long time, just like I remember them. 😋 👌

Absolutely fantastic food, probably the best Turkish in Liverpool. Freshly cooked to perfection. Mouthwatering and plentiful. Cannot wait to revisit!

One of the best Turkish restaurants I've been too. Food superb, prices reasonable and large portions. I had the chef's special, a mixture of different kebabs. I was very glad I didn't order a starter the meal was that big. The meat was so tender, it was lovely. The others had chicken kebabs and one had chicken guvec, a really nice stew. The restaurant was very busy but the service and the kitchen coped really well. All in all I would happily recommend Gustum and will certainly be going again, hopefully soon.

Very friendly and welcoming food 😋 was wonderful and excellent value for money we had the chefs 👨‍🍳 special sopos ability for 2 would of fed 6 people.

Thoroughly enjoyed dropping into this little gem and savouring its authentic Turkish fare on a Saturday afternoon. Well worth the trip out to Mossley Hill. Such amazing friendly service and superb selection. Particularly impressed with the Turkish Cabernet Sauvignon and almond liquor coffee. 🤤

Excellent food, excellent service, I've only given the 'atmosphere' a 3 because there was only me and 1 other with me and I came just as it opened. Cant give a higher rating till I go when its busy

TOP RATED and well deserved. Authentic Turkish delights. Yannis and his team can't do enough to make your dining experience perfect. Food is delish - we go every week. Service excellent, the chefs 'care' about their craft and reliable every time to get it 100% right. Salads are so much better than anywhere else. Lamb chops yummy and portions are generous. Fantastic food, and loads of flavour as well great service.

Great as always. The food is fantastic but the service really makes this place. There were 8 on our table and opposite us, a table of over 30 women. Staff were unflappable!! Nothing ever seems too much trouble in this place. Even the drinks are beautifully made and it is spotless. Can't wait to go back.

We visited on a Saturday early evening, we did not book but they managed to fit us in, I would recommend booking especially for a weekend. The staff were so helpful & friendly. This was our first visit to Gustum and certainly will not be our last. For starter we got Houmous which was incredible & Garlic mushrooms which were so tasty. Mains - We shared the Mixed Grill for 2 between myself, my boyfriend & his daughter - we couldn't believe the size of it when it came out, it was HUGE. The meats were amazing, the lamb chops were 10/10! Although states for 2 it easily fed 3 and if all having starters I would say even 4. The children's meals are good sizes, my boyfriends other daughter ordered a chicken skewer meals which comes with chips & salad, you also get a drink & ice cream for £7, which is a bargain. Can not wait to return. I have recommended Gustum to all my friends. By far the best Turkish in Liverpool. Lovely décor, clean, good staff, reasonably price, fantastic food - what more could you want?

The food is simply amazing! We treated our parents to a meal here recently after going ourselves and being blown away, safe to say they felt the same! We all shared the hot mezz stater which has lots of different bits to sample, and then moved onto the barbecue grilled meats. All cooked to perfection. Service as always is very pleasant, the team do a great job.

Wow! My first visit last night and I’m already plotting my return. Lovely atmosphere, extra friendly staff and the food…. just unreal! I shared a chefs special for two, I’m salivating just thinking about it. We were served a complimentary side salad and basket of the loveliest bread and then came the meal. I’ll keep it short. A mountain of various meats, cooked over charcoal, enough fries to feed a small army and a serving of beautiful rice. All topped with a grilled red pepper. I cannot stress enough how delicious this meal was. It’s not often I have to leave such beautifully cooked meat on the plate but this thing near put me asleep. Incredible value, my best eating out experience in years. Thank you Gustum and we’ll be back soon. 11/10

Went last night, 2 couples. We had t booked and were very fortunate to get the last available table. (Thursday night). What can I say. It was absolutely FANTASTIC. The food was so tasty. We could not find fault with anything. We shared a couple of starters and all 4 of us hd different meals then shared baklava fir desert. Every mouthful was delicious. My daughter who is a very picky eater ate every last bit of food….. in fact when our plates were collected the gentleman commented that he didn’t need to wash them 😀.. A fabulous meal with great service. Will definitely go again next time visiting my daughter in Liverpool.

Eight of us went for dinner last at Gustum, our meals were absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself is beautifully lit, comfortable and has a great ambience. The staff couldn’t have done anymore, both attentive but unobtrusive.

We have been to Gustum a number of times, as a couple and in a group and each time it’s been wonderful. Great service, amazing food and such reasonable prices, I honestly don’t think it can be rivalled at all either as a pre planned...

Yet another lovely evening at this gem of a restaurant. I have dined here many times and I am never disappointed. The staff are lovely, the food is fabulous and the ambience is relaxed & friendly. We ate here last night & shared the feta cheese parcels, and as we are small portions people we shared the skewered chicken breast. Both were excellent. It was served with lovely warm fresh bread. We ordered the tahini as a side which is fantastic. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant. It does get busy so I would advise booking. Will definitely be returning.

We ordered Chef's Special for 2 to be delivered to us. When food is delivered, you don't expect it to be as good as dining-in, in particular, if it is kebab. But, it was so good that encouraged me to write this review while the plates are still on the table. Also, The portion was fair for the price. I am sure we soon give a visit to the restaurant to enjoy the food when it has just left the chef's kitchen. I took one star off since the rice wasn't as satisfactory as the rest of the food. But please notice that, in our house, we cook rice nearly everyday, so we have grown our own taste for rice. Okay, if you think it is not fair to judge them by our liking, I shall add the fries was not crispy too :)

Very good food and staff very helpful

Very expensive, Food was good but nothing special. Portion sizes a bit stingey, Chicken Skewer meal was mainly over cooked greasy rice. Also had other food which we didn't order brought to our table. Staff where quite rude and ignorant, asking us questions mid spoonful and being a bit too personal and also indirectly pestering us to leave before we had actually finished , despite there being 1.5 hours until closing time and very few other people inside and no one waiting. We where there about half an hour including waiting time so there was no need to be rushed out at all. I The beer was almost all froth and not much actual drink in the glass. * The manager was great and did apologise after I raised my issue with him He did offer some form of compensation. I have given an extra star for this and I am prepared to visit and eat here again in the future, I was assured that this won't happen again and isn't the norm for Gustom.

Lovely visit. Most hard working friendly staff. Managed a group of 12 without fuss and a full to the brim restaraunt. Nothing too much trouble and food hot fresh and came out in good time. We got the hot mezze and a ceaser salad. Bread is out of this world. Would deffo recommend.

The food was really good and the portions were even better! It was my first meal after landing in the UK for my vacation and it tasted awesome. I forgot the name of my order but it was a lamb in a tomato sauce on top of some chopped up flatbread. The lamb was tender and not too gamey, and the salad was refreshing.

Had a fantastic meal here. It was our first time but it won't be the last. The food was absolutely delicious and all the staff were so friendly. I will definitely return and bring my friends
